The Fairway Grill Restaurant in Sefton

My ribeye steak smelt and tasted funny did not eat it manager tried telling me it was because it’s 28 day mature I’ve had steak before and they never tasted or smelt like this was offered another or a different steak but we was finished at this point wife’s sirloin was also 28 days mature and was fine still got charged £45 for mine luckily as we was staying at the hotel we got a discount otherwise I would be really disappointed Food below average but the steak menu well over priced in my opinion

Came here for my 30th birthday as we were staying in the hotel. Food was excellent - Sticky Toffee Pudding was the best I’ve ever had! But the real star was out waiter Liam! He couldn’t have done any more for us if he tried, great asset to the team! Can’t wait to return! :)

Massively over priced. Duck potato cake didn’t seem to have any duck in it. Halloumi just tasted burnt. Burger terrible. Restaurant was cold. Will not be back!

Got rushed into ordering food at the till. Burger was burnt, all the bread was microwaved, soggy chewy calamari. Not great at all considering how much they charge. Plates and ramekins all chipped Didn’t get asked how we liked our food and plates weren’t cleared for over 45 minutes. Won’t be eating here again unfortunately

Food OK for price. Breakfast is a little tragic... Given the standard of their dinners I'm surprised they don't offer breakfast cooked to order. Instead it's powdered scrambled eggs... Bar staff are inexperienced. Service is much better at Sparrowhawk pub round the corner (grub is as good as and half the price!)

Food and my glass of wine was brilliant didn't stay long as I was on my own

Food was decent, had better for the price. waited an awful long time to get service. Waited 15 min for a desert menu's only to be forgotten about for almost half an hour. Even though the staff were stood 10ft away from us. Ended having to go to the bar to pay as we couldn't even get the attention of the staff for the bill. Won't be going back as seeing other reviews being somewhat the same.

Food was alright, had the beef but it was dry and needed more gravy. Servers were nice but the service itself was poor. Sat waiting 15 minutes for drinks to arrive after ordering and 25 mins to order dessert after the meal and were basically forgotten about so got up, paid and left. Wouldn’t go again as I expected better considering the prices of the food

The food was fine. We came in on bank holiday Monday for a friends birthday celebration. We were 7 adults and two kids. The service was shockingly slow. We had to constantly chase someone for something. They forgot our friends drinks for the entire meal and we couldn’t ask anyone because they all disappeared to the back. We then ordered dessert and had informed them it was one of our friends birthday and they said they would bring a birthday plate but surprise surprise THEY FORGOT! We had to chase it up and then when the lady came with it it was alright. She didn’t mention anything about the chocolates having alcohol so the children at the table asked for a chocolate and we gave it to them. One of our friend had the other chocolate on the plate and that’s when we found out that there was Alcohol!!! We decided to just ask for the bill and go. We got our bill and we’re ready to pay but now the card machine were down and then they asked us to pay at the bar. Which we did but then then we were not able to pay separately. I don’t know if we went on a bad day but the service was bad and k wouldn’t recommend it! ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS or allergies/intolerances!!!

Sausage and Bacon barns are a must.

Was a treat for my Mum's birthday. Awful service and even worse food, 3 dry tasteless sandwiches for £28! Total rip off. Won't be rushing back.

Birthday meal, tapas style menu, 3 plates for £15, with a few drinks right by the golf course. Very relaxed atmosphere in a covered outdoor patio area, shame Spring didn't show itself but staff offered blankets and there are some patio heaters to help keep you cosy, food was very good, I particularly enjoyed the camembert 🤩 would definitely return.

its ok but to say this is a beautiful 4 star resort the menu is limited and the honey carved ham was rock hard real shame

Food was lovely as always . Staff very helpful and polite 🥂 The hotel and spa also amazing reception guys big shout out to you all .

Fabulous experience at this hotel, really enjoyed our Spa treatments. The restaurant was fab staff very helpful very pleasant. Rooms first class, really e noted this break and I would definitely go again.

I can only speak for the spa, but I found it disappointing. On the occasions I went there I found it overcrowded with nice, but inexpert beauticians. Such a shame, it would be perfect it it could just deliver a better service. Not a patch on the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield!
