Lovely real ale bar in Kendall. Nice chilled vibe inside and good set up outside. Loads of ales on. I had half a pale as I was driving but it was full of flavour which is rare for a relatively low abv ale. There’s a curious work bench/table of some sort which is a mystery to the landlord. Pints on him if you can tell him what it was originally used for. Dog friendly and occasionally has food from pop up trucks. Recommended. 🍻 🤔

Great stop for a pint in a quieter part of town. Food on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays!

Great atmosphere, staff were friendly and great selection of drinks. We went on a night when Marra were serving pizzas and they were amazing.

Cracking pub with an excellent selection of well kept local ales and two excellent beer gardens. You can tell it’s run by people who really care. Always make sure I make a beeline for this place when I’m in Kendal!

A fantastic tap house, looks great and benefits from being in Kendal over the road from the river. On arrival there is outdoor seating at the front entrance set back from the main road so not disturbed by traffic, inside the bar looks great and the ale is top class and priced at £4 per pint, the rear has an enclosed beer garden which is quite a good size. In summary the best watering hole in Kendal.

All fantastic especially as the company was the best ever. The service was amazing bar one man who made a cocky and rather loud noise regarding smoking area~ fair enough absolutely if it was done well and with grace and not a jobsworth power trip. Fantastic bar staff particularly a young man who couldn’t do enough to help. Lovely atmosphere and we have decided to make it a monthly occurrence for our girls ~ look out 🫶🏼🌅💥✨🎵🎉🩷🎶

Great pizzas from a van outside the pub on Friday and Tuesday from 5pm. Lots of first class beers to choose from, my favourite is Jarl from Scotland. 9pm closing may be a problem for some. Staff are brilliant and dogs are most welcome especially if Ronnie is there

Great setting and friendly staff. Always full of nice people happy to have a chat. We have the best nights here as a couple or with friends.

Such a convivial atmosphere in here with both the bar staff and the regulars I didn’t find time to take any other photos. The beer was superb, the brisk walk back to the 🚂 station was 10 minutes.

Have been here several times. Last time I went a quiz night was on. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Dog friendly too

Excellent pub whether for well-kept craft ales or great street food. The Korean salty fried chicken from the van out front is simply sensational for taste and value. A really innovative approach.

Great choice of beers, friendly and attentive staff, love the feel and atmosphere of this place. Plenty of outdoor seating when the weather's good; warm and cosy inside when it's not. Always head here first when we're down in Kendal. Love it!

Love The Tap. Great place to meet friends, lovely atmosphere and wide selection of beverages available (would like to see more non alcoholic beer and wine choices though).

A delightful place. The decor is simple, but fun. It is imbued with the murmur of conversation, the clunk of beer mugs, the gentle swish of the taps being pulled to fill the glasses. I don't live near here - but I shall be back!

Comfy quirky pub, pleasant atmosphere, can get busy but has outside seating/standing at the front and a beer garden behind. Decent beers for me.

Not given any stars for food because i haven't tried it, however the quality and choice of beers are second to none.

Good atmosphere with a good selection of ales,. Table service still in operation inside although there is loads of tables and space outdoors if the weathers ok. They have guest outdoor caterers mainly at weekends which you can eat inside if you want. Highly recommend a visit if you have not already tried it. Update, table service is no longer being operated. Everything else remains the same, including the interesting quirky variations of seating and tables. Update, November 22, still a great atmosphere & I understand the owner Ronnie has put a planning application in for a second premises nearer the Town centre. However there is still a problem with the amount of toilets, only 3 single spaces 1 each labeled ladies, gents & disabled. This clearly is not enough when you consider the amount of patrons during busy periods, can be well in excess of 100, which of course causes long waits to relieve onesself.

Love this place, so welcoming and ideal for a catch up after work. Fab pizzas too from the van x 😀

Called in for a few pints last friday and saturday good ale nice sun trap at the back beer garden plus another at the front not sure if food is served i didnt see any and didnt get any so cant comment.

Called in at Kendal for some eats. Google was showing the tap with good reviews and it wasn't wrong. Loads of parking, dog friendly, helpful staff and 6 plus ales on the bar. Had a stonking ipa brewed next door. And the pizzas made from a trailer outside were some of the most flavoursome I've has since Vesuvio of Clitheroe. All in, a lovely pub that's got us wondering what else does Kendal have to offer!

Just popped in for a quick pint, but got tempted by the pizzas being made in the van outside (Tuesdays and Fridays I think). They bring them into the bar for you. Utterly delicious, one of the best pizzas I've ever had! HIGHLY recommended.

Great atmosphere although can get a bit too noisy. Sometimes this adds to the atmosphere. Easy parking, great ales, and food available to order. Nice decor with a mix of curious and industrial. Some well-recycled items are in use. The beer was chilled to perfection!

Wonderful place. Very inviting, brilliant atmosphere, the selection of beers can change, but on the whole, very good. Supported well by outside food stalls and Castle Mills Kitchen.

A great pub, with an ever changing line up of both cask & craft ales. Usually you will find something here to suite your taste & mostly of local origin. I visited on a Thurs evening, which was fairly quiet early on, but it can get very busy later (7pm ish) Friendly staff & clean toilets, not much more you to ask for really.

One of our favourite places to visit in kendal for a chilled out drink. Only a couple of minutes walk out of town its in a fantastic location. Really friendly staff, warm welcoming atmosphere with plenty of food events on a Tuesday or Saturday to make it a evening or afternoon out.
