It is a wonderful and unique Bed & Breakpast. Led by its owner, a strong, inspiring and energetic woman. The place is wonderful, surrounded by nature and in an enclave of tranquility. An unforgettable peace is felt inside. The room was beautiful, the entire house is taken care of down to the smallest detail. Its owner is very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and she always has very good suggestions. She is clearly a lover of nature and practices sustainability in establishing it. I highly recommend it and without a doubt I will return. (Spanish) Es Un maravilloso y único Bed & Breakpast. Liderado por su propietaria, una mujer fuerte, inspiradora y enérgica. We came to the Factors House having stayed for three nights at a 3* coaching inn for a Clan Gathering. The Factors House was everything the coaching inn was not, it was was warm, welcoming, peaceful, comfortable, dignified. The Factors House is a veritable haven, On check in we were met by Fiona, the proprietor. She is warm and friendly but not intrusive . She obviously takes a great and well deserved pride in the Factors House. She has a great eye and attention to detail - and it shows. Normally I take the bed linen at a a hotel / &B as a given. On retiring at The Factors House I was struck by the superb quality of the sheets and duvet - so much so that I mentioned it to Fiona when she brought me my delicious breakfast of croissant (seriously the best I have eaten ) and pancakes with maple syrup (highly recommended - so light and fluffy ) I said I thought the sheets must be at least 400 threads per inch. She smiled and told me they were 600 threads per inch. Everything about the Factors House was first class. When booking I did think it was a little pricy but it was more than worth the money. The memories of our extremely comfortable stay in a beautiful part of the country will stay with for a very long time. Well done Fiona. I wholeheartedly recommend The Factors House.

An extremely rude and uncaring establishment. Had to cancel due to family bereavement. Heartless, rude phone call with them, and have since refused to speak with us. Charged full price even though there policy through Hotel.com said 50% cancellation fee. Great service from Hotel.com, but do not risk any deposit with this shameful establishment.

Fiona at the Factors House is not only a great host but also a fantastic chef. We had the evening meal on the second night and it was beyond delicious. The rooms are spacious and well appointed as are the facilities. This is by far the best B&B we have had the pleasure of staying in and we will be back. Thanks again Fiona for a fantastic stay.👍

What a wonderful find, this is a beautiful place to stay. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, Fiona is a friendly warm helpful host and a fantastic chef, her food is absolutely delicious. Excellent breakfasts and her 3 course dinners were fantastic. We stayed in the Forsyth Room which has a great view of the Cromarty Firth from the huge bed. Fluffy towels, cotton bedding, homemade shortbread ... can't recommend this place enough, loved it!

Like most people we had other plans that were thwarted by the virus, and to be honest Cromarty wasn’t anywhere on our must do list. Well, maybe it should have been! We’ve just spent four nights in The Factors House and thoroughly enjoyed every minute we were there. We were met by Fiona, a lovely friendly host. She was a font of knowledge about the local area and was able to give us recommendations for both places to visit and places to eat. The B&B is really comfortable, beautifully furnished. The breakfast choices are varied and delicious. We had dinner at the Factors House one night and it was delicious. Cromarty itself and the surrounding area is beautiful.

This is a beautiful house, great location. We were met with a warm, friendly welcome. Coffee and rhubarb and ginger cake offered on arrival in the lounge and it was delicious, homemade by Fiona. Room just lovely with every little extra that you could want, everything so thoughtful, you wanted for nothing. Soaps, jams, chutneys also on sale in reception area, soaps are gorgeous. Not tried my chutney yet but am sure it is delicious if the rest of the food is anything to compare by. Breakfast was lovely, I only had yoghurt and fresh fruit as i had eaten way too much the night before at sutor creek cafe , but hubby had fried breakfast which he said was excellent and there were fresh hen eggs from her own chickens. Absolutely would stay here again, cannot recommend highly enough.

We stayed at the Factor’s House last night, sadly for only one night, after a weeks’ holiday on the West coast and before our flight from Inverness airport this morning. The owner, Fiona, gave us a lovely, warm welcome and offered us tea in the drawing room. Our room was spacious and warm, fantastically well appointed, and interestingly decorated and furnished. A good selection of teas and delicious, homemade shortbread was extremely welcome after a long day. Our bathroom was also stylish with a claw bath, shower over, lovely towels and luxurious toiletries including hand made soap. We ate at the Royal Hotel which was an excellent recommendation and close by. On our return we enjoyed a couple of malt whiskies from the extensive array on offer (as well as an amazing choice of gins). Breakfast was also excellent with an extensive choice of cooked food as well as home made cakes and fresh fruit. I cannot recommend the Factor’s House too highly: an incredible building and a wonderfully comfortable bed and breakfast.

A warm welcome awaited us. A beautiful room, clean with a gorgeous bathroom and lots of extra touches - fresh flowers, sweets, homemade shortbread, chocolate tea cakes, Morton Brown toiletries, proper coffee. Quiet setting. Cromarty is a pleasant place, well worth visiting. Delicious breakfast.

Having shared some dietary requirements in advance, our meal was tailored accordingly with a dedicated menu which not only managed to pack in the flavour but also hit all of our consumption caveats! The star of the show was a beautifully cooked sea bass dish but not to be forgotten was the cheese board with a generous selection of locally produced cheeses and homemade oatcakes. The wine list isn't hugely extensive but has a nice variety from light through to full bodied deep reds all of which are sensibly priced. The setting is intimate at a large shared table but done in such a way that the dining experience doesn't feel intrusive. The service was excellent with dishes being prepared in good time and introduced at each course. I'd consider this to be a real hidden gem by way of a dining experience and one worthy of booking...if you can get a seat at the table!

Regularly visiting family who live in Cromarty and continuing to retrace family 'roots' on The Black Isle we had been promising for some time to arrange Dinner at The Factor's House. This visit we did it. And were not disappointed. The food and hospitality were both excellent. It is a set menu / price (4 course and after-dinner Coffee / Tea) with a small but very reasonably priced Wine List. There is a large communal dining table which might not suit everyone but it was organised very well and we had the pleasure of the company of a very pleasant couple from Aberdeen. They told us of the "best ever" breakfast served at The Factor's House. The Factor's House is beautiful presented and Graham and Fiona are wonderful hosts. It is certainly worth visiting for dinner and, of course, staying (to experience breakfast!). You will need to book in advance as it seems non-residents are accommodated only when table space is available. Will certainly return..........

Every so often it is important to reassess ratings and this restaurant sits at the top of my perfect dining out experience.Delicious haddock risotto, followed by pork with stuffing . I could have eaten the stuffing on its own as a main course so long as I could have had the potato dauphinoise made with delicate fine slices of potato, and alongside just perfect carrot puree, not too thick and not too light just a treat to the taste buds.Actually I would have missed the locally sourced pork.A rhubarb dessert with home made ginger ice cream , a cheese board, then coffee and tablet. This was quality cooking and the Factor's House is a perfect setting for this high quality food. The menu was a set menu but I would have chosen the dishes anyway and you need to bring your own wine though I believe they are gaining a licence. This is small intimate dining but not intimidating and makes for a wonderful evening The long walk that day assisted the appetite though it was all so delicious I think I would have become hungry! I am just writing about it.

The food here is incredible. We popped in for something to eat while we waited for our laundry to finish at the Laundrette nearby. We had the chicken gyro bowl. It was delicious and it was a generous portion (go hungry!). Great prices. Friendly people. Amazing food. We also took a slice of cheesecake for later. It was banoffee and was maybe the best cheesecake we ever had.
