Popped in on a walk and had a lovely time. Ian behind the bar was very friendly and we were chatting away for a good couple hours. Such a nice atmosphere, would recommend!

Always loved drinking here, it was my local for a while. Ian and Liz were always lovely to talk to. Miss them now I've moved away. Great little pub, very old style but a great drinking pub, big garden and good beer on tap.

A small freehouse that I've been going to for many years. The landlord and lady, who have been running it for as long as anyone can remember, are both lovely people who make you feel welcome and are more than happy to talk. Good selection of beers, spirits, soft drinks etc and pub snacks on offer, plus there is a great big garden for when the weather is good (public barbecues are occasionally put on for all who want to come). Don't be put off by there only being a few people in, it's a quiet little friendly pub which is an excellent place to have a drink in alone or with some friends, and contrary to what you may see, sometimes it will be completely packed.

We went to Lumpini'son a recommendation from a local, and they were right to recommend it. It's not posh, and perhaps looks a little tired, but we had a warm welcome, excellent service and fantastic food. Mixed starter was lovely, everything was crispy and tasty, and it was served with a selection of dipping sauces that included the best peanut sauce I've ever had. The duck red curry was warming and creamy with beautifully tender duck. The drunken noodles were tasty and filling, all the other dishes were great too. We finished with banana fritters and lychees which were both good and alongside a Bailey's coffee made the perfect end to our meal. Special mention to our waiter whose jokes made our night.

I have eaten here multiple times and it is consistently delicious, flavoursome with the right levels of spice and great value. I highly recommend the lamb patiya and chicken bhuna - both amazing as confirmed by my 8 year old daughter, her plate was cleaned! All the starters and sides are also to die for. During Friday/Saturday nights it can get busy but the team of servers & bar staff are attentive polite and professional. There is a great atmosphere about the place and will always recommend this as my favourite Indian restaurant. Great work and great food - keep it up!

26 Church StreetWhat a fabulous place. I was there with family and friends for a birthday celebration and there were about twenty of us in the group. It was a Saturday lunchtime, and we weren't the only large party in the restaurant at the time. The place seemed packed, and yet every course was served promptly and perfectly - all the hot the food was fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. I had the beef bourguignon and could happily have eaten it over and over again - this was the dish that had me wanting to lick the plate. Portions were generous and everybody left feeling full, happy and very well cared for.
