Chicken & Spice in Central Bedfordshire

Ordered chicken burger, chips and wings. Only the chips were cooked fresh. You could hear the microwave heating up the wings and burger. Soggy ultra hot chick.

I haven’t had a curry but the fried chicken is absolutely lovely! Tasty, cheap, always hot and the people who deliver are always nice and friendly. I’d definitely recommend Chicken n Spice.

I have 2 children under 2 so this place has been a godsend the last couple of years during those pregnancy cravings and long nights; however I've been ordering from here the last 6 years of living in Henlow. Massive variety of food....chicken. better than KFC...onion bhajis sublime and the prawn puri is the finest I've had in the UK! Kebabs are really good and better than the kebab shop next door. The gentleman and his wife that cook here are very very good and other takeaways could learn a thing or two on how to cook well.A+++++++

Only had chick wings. Seemed pre-cooked and not recently bbq'd.

The best fried chicken I’ve ever had and hot wings are made from scratch and by hand unlike a lot of frozen ones I’ve had elsewhere. Noticed a review about them closing down which I think is meant for another chicken n spice, not this one. This one has been run by a lovely couple since early 2000 and never changed hands. Keep it up.

Visited here again last night after becoming a regular. My partner explained that last time we got the biryani it was only like warm and we had to warm it up in the microwave (drying it out) to eat it. The gentleman assured us that this time it is not cold and very hot. When we got it home, once again the meat biryani was nice and hit with steam coming from it but the chicken and mushroom biryani was cold which again had to be microwaved. I do not expect to pay for good food to then have to heat it up myself. Actually food is lovely but angered that they are not listening about the hearing issue, it makes wonder how long it is sitting around before it is served. Disappointed.

Best take out food in the area, curries are great, the pizzas are huge and extremely filling and the kebabs are a perfect evening at the pub finisher.

Best Indian food you can order! Tastes like home cooked food, full of flavour. Absolutely delicious, so much so that even though we don't live in the area anymore, we drive 30 minutes to collect it.

I did not enjoy this take away at all. It was edible but not very pleasant. Big, raw lumps of onion in the stuffed crust, overcooked pizza, dry doner meat, chips were alright.

Just have to say this place is amazing... there was 10 of us eating tonight and not a single thing left, very worth the money! Would defo recommend, tikka masala is to die for... thank you 😊

Owner is a DON! been coming to this place since i was a kid, prices are and have always been reasonable. Got to be one of the nicest kebabs in the area. Friendly service and apple pies are top draw!

Excellent food and friendly service

Don't order the chicken strips, 5 of these came, totally inedible-so chewy! Also found hair on the pizza. No wonder this place is known as pigeon and sweat.

Great food and very reasonable. Their pizza base is lovely, a combination of deep pan and naan bread. One of the best doner kebabs anywhere.

We have been ordering food from Chicken N Spice since 2011, and the food is always delicious!!! I suffer with celiac disease and they always adapt my food, so I can still enjoy my favourite foods. They are a lovely family business, who attend their customers always with a smile. All their employees are lovely and polite, and nothing is too much hassle. I absolutely recommend this business to anyone who wants quality and a good customer service.

Visit 'Chicken & Spice' a couple of times a week for a very long time,food is consistently good time after time and never had any problems either.The owners are always helpful and always go out of the way the experience a pleasant one. Food is always hot and cooked exactly as we like it,will continue using it as a local friendly take away.

Always order from here when getting a kebab. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the menu is large and the prices are more than fair. Free delivery to surrounding villages which is rare, and they always arrive earlier than their stated time and with polite delivery staff. I can't comment on the curry, but their chicken and kebab options are tasty!

I use this fast food outlet usually after a heavy night on the beer, I have got a great friend and excellent service in who I call uncle Billy, I can ring at the hours of 23:00 until 23;55 , the food is always of a very high standard for the amount of time it’s been in the microwave, , I always get a friendly delivery man (uncle Billy) who will always have a great smile and singing when he lets his self in to our kitchen, helps his self to all the cash I’ve dropped on the floor + tip, because I’m usually to pissed to pay, this is a great end to a Friday or Saturday night , great food quick delivery and a really honest service, I’m thinking about getting a key cut for him , THE BEST

Have used Chicken and Spice for ages now. They are our go to takeaway for kebabs and Indian cuisine. Very fast service. Even when busy and the prices are really good. Highly recommended.

We ordered 15 large pizza from this takeaway for an event at Henlow Bowling centre. Not only were the pizzas ready earlier than expected they were amazingly tasty. Service was superb and cannot recommend them highly enough.

My family and I have just eaten from here for the first time tonight (15/9/18) and I can honestly say we will be back. We had Indian, pizza and burger and it was lush! None of us could finish our meals due the the quantity and for a family of 5 I can't moan with the price being £35. Super fast delivey too. I have one very stuffed happy family. Thanks

Been getting bare munch from here for ages and boss man is known for doing da pengist tings around, the next door rivals flames r open more in the day but do me dirty way to much, the chicken burger assembly was on points the chips had the crisp and fluffyness that r needed also the wings bang, me and my bredrins have failed to ever been done dirty by boss man who not only does peng munch also keep sound company!

This has become our local takeaway since moving into the area a few months ago. My boyfriend only orders the mixed kebab which he says is fab I'm not a kebab fan so I've started ordering Indian from them which is fab and tasty. They also offer free delivery which is great on these winter nights. They do a full range of good good from pizza to fried chicken, kebabs and an Indian menu I WOULD RECOMMEND

As takeway's go this is really nice. There is a huge range of choice and the food is really nice. I would recommend the Kebeb in a Naan bread

Rang through the order for 6. It was ready within 10 minutes, and was really the best chicken kebab I've ever had! I just wish we lived closer!

This is now our choice for an Indian takeaway in the Hitchin area. They also do pizzas and chicken and chips etc. The service is good and the staff friendly. They do deliver foc but we tend to go to the Old Transporter for a drink and pop across to order the food, which usually takes about 20 mins to prepare.

Our favourite take-away. Kebabs best for miles. Chicken excellent quality. Brilliant, friendly delivery service. Portions generous and always taste freshly cooked. Always arrive early or on time-never late. Would recommend to anybody.

We were looking for an evening meal after getting home late on a Monday evening, the guys in Chick & Spice quickly prepared our delicious curries, top rate! They also do Pizzas, Burgers, Kebabs with a very big choice menu.
