Very busy, but the food was good Not too expensive

1st visit and probably last. Beer served in the wrong glass, causing it to go flat. Disabled toilet very difficult to negotiate in a wheelchair and floor very damp/wet.

Still a good little Wetherspoons been coming here since the very first day it opened. Good selection of real ales all kept well.

To Anthony, Monday Club is not applied during the Christmas period, plus the tills deduction isn’t done manually, have a good Christmas.

Monday Club doesn't exist on a Monday .. barmaid very rude and cocky. Manager needs to retrain.

Food is as good as any Wetherspoons and the service is good because the 1 bar person on a lot of the time, works like a trojan. Could improve with someone else serving at busy times instead of putting more glasses back, but I understand it is a balance.

Nice Spoons just a short walk from Chadwell Heath station, the name refers to a local survivor of the Titanic. Food and drink was spot on.

Again another WS pub . Old police station , great selection of beer and cider. Very poor visit this time staff ignorant and borderline rude. Food good as always but order incorrect and mt the additional item for the main did not turn up . I had to chase it up . Response was poor . Will followup with head office All cool .... Staff were spot on . Food to standard. They did a great job serving ten all at the same. Upped a star 🌟 Curries are quality here

Not been here for 3 yrs since moving, visiting family so we popped in . Got over charged for a meal deal , then the sas mash came out omg the little bit gravey was hard as rock over microwaved. My sister went up to ask can I have more gravey the so called manager Jamie said yes but you have to pay??? She said take it out of the overcharge meal you did. He was rude no customer service and would not help. We saw reece who was excellent and knew how to deal with customers thank you

Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience at Eva Hart Wetherspoon I’ve been a loyal Wetherspoon customer for as long as I can remember, always appreciating the consistent service and atmosphere. However, my recent experience at the Eva Hart Wetherspoon was beyond disappointing, and the only reason I’m leaving this bad review is because of the appalling service my friends and I received from the staff. This particular branch is by far the worst I’ve ever encountered, and the experience left us feeling disrespected and mistreated. My friends and I visited the pub for dinner, with the hope of having a relaxed evening, but what unfolded was completely awful. One of our friends looked younger than 25, and in accordance with the Challenge 25 policy, the staff asked for his ID. We fully understood the policy, despite the fact that he had only ordered a soft drink. He’s 22 years old, but as requested, he left the pub without any argument. Unfortunately, this is where the problems began. After our friend left, one of the staff members—a lady who was serving us—began behaving extremely rudely. Despite the fact that the person in question had already left, she kept insisting that the rest of us should also leave the pub, and did so in an unprofessional and condescending manner. She asked us to leave three separate times, while we were still in the middle of our meal. It felt like she was constantly breathing down our necks, forcing us to rush through our food and drinks. In the end, we had to finish our food within 15 minutes, barely even touching our drinks. When we raised the issue with the manager, we were hoping for a more understanding and professional response. Unfortunately, the manager’s attitude was even more shocking. Instead of listening to our concerns or offering any sort of apology, she was equally rude and dismissive. I even explained to her that I work in a pub myself, so I understand the rules and protocols, but this was not about enforcing policy—it was about how they treated us. She seemed completely uninterested in our complaint and offered no resolution whatsoever. What made the entire situation worse was the blatant double standard we witnessed. We couldn’t help but notice that other patrons, who also appeared to be under 25, were still sitting comfortably, drinking and smoking without being bothered at all. It was clear to us that we were being singled out, and frankly, we felt it was due to racism. This is not the kind of experience anyone should have, especially in an establishment that we’re paying to enjoy. In all my years of going to Wetherspoon pubs, I’ve never experienced anything quite like this. It was an utterly disappointing and upsetting experience, and they completely ruined our night. I expect much better from Wetherspoon, and this branch in particular has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I hope the management at Eva Hart takes these complaints seriously and works to improve their staff’s attitude and service. No one should have to experience what we did. Would not recommend this pub to anyone looking for a decent time.

Very disappointed with today's experience. My friends and I were in a pub today to have dinner. We went with an expectation of having fun but what we saw was very awful. One of us was looking younger and as per challenge 25 they asked for his ID but that was also after we ordered a food and a 'soft drink', he is 22 years old but we understood the protocol and as per their request our friend left the pub as soon as possible. But then one the staff lady who was serving us was so rude. She was after us to leave the pub even after telling her that the guy who was looking younger has left. She asked us to leave the pub in the middle of our meal. We literally had to finish our food within 15 mins. She didn't even let us finish our drinks. Then I went to talk to the manager and she was more disgusting and rude than the staff. I told her that I also work in a pub and understand the protocol but this was not the way they should have behaved. We were there to have some quality time but what we experienced was so disgusting. They ruined our special day. What we felt was racism, because we literally saw under 25 folks were having drinks and smoke. If it was their protocol then why was it not applicable for them but just us??? Very disappointing experience in one of the wetherspoon pub...

My friends and I went to a Wetherspoon pub for dinner, expecting to have a good time, but the experience was awful. We made it clear that we would leave after finishing our meal. Our friend left the pub right away as requested, but the staff member serving us was extremely rude and kept insisting that we leave, even though we explained that the younger-looking person had already gone. She forced us to finish our meal in 15 minutes and didn’t even let us finish our drinks. When I spoke to the manager, she was even more rude and unprofessional. We went there to enjoy a special day, but instead, we were treated terribly. It felt like discrimination against Asians specifically because we saw other under-25 customers drinking and smoking, yet the rules only seemed to apply to us. This was a very disappointing experience.

Complaints: - Rude staff repeatedly asked us to leave while we were still eating, even after complying with their Challenge 25 ID request. - The staff started cleaning the table and throwing plates before we had finished our meal. - Manager was dismissive and rude when we tried to address the issue. - We felt we were being singled out, as other under-25 patrons were allowed to stay and enjoy their drinks and smoke. - The experience felt racially biased and unfair. We won't recommend this pub, especially to Asians. I am definitely not going back there again.

Me and my friends had worst experience today in one of the Wetherspoon pubs(eva hart). I left the pub as soon as possible after they asked for my id even after i am 22 years old. But what my friends experienced after i left the pub was very disappointing. The staff and manager are not expected as they should be. We also work in hospitality but we have been through a wise training and i personally think that the manager and staff should have basic etiquette’s towards guest and they need have a proper training. This is my request to Wetherspoon to improve their reviews.

Popped in for some food and a drink. The food and service were good but the atmosphere wasn't so great. There were people fighting although staff did their best to diffuse the situation as quickly as they could. We nearly got knocked over with our drinks. Generally a nice place to enjoy a drink especially in the summer.

Nice wetherspoon, it's got the traditional look about it, as usual lots of old men in there chatting and drinking. The food is good quality when the kitchen is open and nice decor. Me and my partner nearly always bump into someone we know..Good pub .

For me, this is my first time hanging out with friends at a pub. The food was so nice. We ordered wings. It was nice. And the service was so nice. I have enjoyed it a lot. The ambience was so good. I don't even know how fast the time flew...! I recommend playing a nice slow song in a low volume. It would be a more perfect experience. Actually I don't drink alcohol 😅. But for me there was monster energy, cappuccino, hot chocolate... It was enough for me guyss😅 tysm. Compared to other pubs it is so worthy and affordable. Not my words. But my friends told me that it is affordable. I think it is a nice place to have some moments with friends or family.

Great building that Wetherspoons have saved used to be the old cop shop. Use this spoons fairly often to meet friends for lunch and a catch up. This visit was a Curry Nite. Couldn't find the extras on the curry nite menu on the app so went to the bar to order. Fairly long wait to be served but they were sticking the order people had arrived. The wait was sooo long for the food to arrive which was surprising as there were lots of empty tables and we've been in much larger and busier spoons and still got served much quicker. Never waited that long here at lunch times. I do like this spoons but this occasion was a bit of a let down.

Comfortable cosy pub interior with numerous nooks and crannies to enjoy a meal or drink. Friendly staff. It would be more convenient if the upstairs coffee machine was switched on instead of having to go downstairs to topup but not a deal breaker. Lovely historic photos relating to Eva Hart and Chadwell Heath itself. The garden is nice too but because the pub is on a busy junction it is always noisy. Sir Tim Martin actually visited The Eva Hart on a day we were there

One of a very few pubs in this part of Greater East London. Enjoyed a nice quiet early evening drink and a portion of spicy chicken wings with blue cheese and hot chilli sauces. Definitely did the trick after a long day! Update 27/07/2024:- My review above still stands. Went today to meet a friend. Lots of people there with the same idea! It created a good vibe on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I understand why many pubs have closed in this area over the years but this pub was busy - so why aren't there more? 🤔 Someone's missing a trick.

Very big (size wise) pub, friendly staff, decent place to spend some time with friends enjoying your drinks. Large outside area (wanna come back there summertime to try it) and some upstairs seating too, large selection of beers/ales as well as other drinks.

I am very disappointed, this pub has been a jolly for the last times i have visited, but this evening was a disaster!! I checked the menus on the website to see if they have any sides to munch on (nachos,chips) which then it said we have no chips or nachos available while sitting at the the table, i proceeded to ask the staff if they have any chips or nachos then they said they are not available on the till. To my surprise a couple minutes later many many portions of chips passed my eye. The smell of the chips made me quite jealous as other people are enjoying and feasting on these sides. I am over the moon with disappointment from this pub. NEVER COMING BACK THIS PLACE IS A ROBBERY!!!!!

Regularly come here for breakfast, it's standard wetherspoons food, so luke warm rather than hot - but that's the only negative... staff are always friendly, there's a good choice of tables and it's super good value for money.

There was a particular waiter/worker called Oscar. He was quick and very polite. I feel me and my friends would not have had such a great outing if it was not for him. I just feel he deserves a shoutout and some merit for this. The food was quick and the drinks even quicker on this occasion.

A rare gem and find in town, roasted jackfruit vegan pizza with drink included is wonderful bonus! Vegan should come and try!

Oscar is possibly one of the friendliest, nicest staff members I have ever met. He helped explained the beers on tap to me and really took his time and care while I ordered. The food wasn’t very good but I was willing to look past that due to the great atmosphere Oscar helped create.

Visited this week have not in Wetherspoons for some time very disappointed with food they have shrunk their burgers by 30% !!!!!! thank heavens the beer was ok, will not be eating there again.

Not good, order wrong food kept hot too long fish overcooked, fish then wrong peas, garden peas instead of mushy and then chips kept warm for too long served on a cold plate.. Very disapioting . My apple crumble was awful overcooked with cold custard thrown on top. I asked for hot custard in a jug. Instead it was reheated by microwave so food was sizzling but custard blob in the middle still cold. I was told by the waiter"it should be OK now. " itwasent I left it for the. To throw away a waste of my time and money.

This place never fails to be a good place to socialising, drinking, eating, having a good chat, even chilling out. Location is great. Its food is fantastic and drinks are amazingly priced as most spoons are anyway especially alcohol. Friday nights get really busy. I highly recommend this place to anyone for a bar or a sit in restaurant.

Great space, incredibly rapid table service and nice staff. Visited about 4PM on a Saturday, we ordered from the app and roughly 15 minutes later we were eating. Well done.

Awful. Ordered classic meal with a drink. Food came. We laughed when it arrived at the table. The waitress laughed too and apologised. Syeak pudding mash and peas. There were about 12 peas on the plate. The gravy was congealed and cold. Mash potato was crusty on the outside. It was awful. Asked for a refund they did not give full money deducted for the drinks we had started and that we now had to keave to go elsewhere to eat. The refund did not go into bank it takes 3 to 5 days. Would never go there again

You can't go wrong at their prices and the service is great. It's open all day so you can always get something to eat and drink.

This is a spacious family friendly pub with lots of room for bigger groups, a pub lunch or Sunday roast. It even has quiet corners of you just want some time to contemplate. Parking is a bit limited unfortunately.

Came in for drinks yesterday as it was so hot! I experienced very poor customer service at this pub, the man taking my order got it wrong and even though he can't process a simple order he charged me for the incorrect drinks anyway. It was too hot to argue on a hot day with someone ignorant so after I mentioned what I ordered he said no you didn't and I didn't take it further. His stomach was knocking over drinks in the bar and he was sweating and I just wanted to remove myself from the situation. He later came back to me to say the payment didn't go through. I got charged a different amount to what I was charged 5 seconds ago. I don't know whats going on here the pub is clearly not being operated right. I have two pending payments on my card. I experienced poor customer service and my order was incorrect. Clearly the customer is always right doesn't operate here. If you can't get a simple lemonade and lemonade with orange juice right you need to give up your day job!

Very good place to eat, drink and enjoy time. Affordable prices. Favourite meal is Chicken tikka masala curries

Really friendly members of staff. Good atmosphere and environment. Was good learning about the history of the Eva Hart pub and teaching my children about it. Food was delicious and well priced and there was a variety of different options available on the menu. Pub has thousands of different drinks to choose from which was a treat as kist pubs don't do many different kinds. Toilets were of good size and very clean and building looked well looked after. Will come again thank you

My god the food the fooood was so good I orderd a pizza and it was hand made and that was amazing I'm so sorry I did not give you all a picture of that wonderful thing but it was to good to let get cold if your passing Chadwell Heath order the pizzas at the Eva Hart I'm shore you will agree.
