The restaurant looks beautiful but it’s all a facade . The place was essentially empty yet we were not allowed to move to a bigger table. Then when ordered we realised there was no water which is absolutely appalling. The food was average not bad or good. The drinks are overpriced and since they don’t sell alcohol it’s just basically shots of juice priced at £10 each . I was very disappointed to be honest expected better

Muzamal served us and was great.

I just ordered a coffee here for takeaway. Ended up being the most expensive coffee I have ever bought at over £6 for a takeaway cup. I was only told upon paying and asking why the price was so high that they charge £1.75 for a shot of syrup. 😂 Anyhow, I wouldn’t have minded but upon getting to the car and taking a sip of said coffee, it tastes absolutely vile. Like there is something in it that is off, it just doesn’t taste right or nice at all. Such a shame. Is this just another Ilford dessert restaurant that is style over substance?

Never experienced such a bad service! Visited for my friend's birthday, we waited around half an hour watching our drinks sit on the bar. Then was served desssert, when we asked where our food was, the manager asked did you order food, let me check. She never came back. All tables around us that arrived and ordered after us were served. Food came eventually, some wrong the other inedible. Then asked to just cancel our dessert and bring out the birthday cake, they replied oh you have a cake... brought the cake with the candles, then refused to light them. Eventually lit them (such an anticlimax), decided to bring out some dry ice experience as the sparklers died down. Then refused to give us any cutlery or plates due to potential allergies, despite them serving all allergens and having disclaimers on the wall about the use of allergens. Then eventually gave us cutlery and made us eat out of paper take away containers. Left the birthday girl feeling well and truly underwhelmed. Never again

Went here today with my friend. The decor was really nice & spacious place perfect for families. I booked a table for 3:30 we arrived on time but went to the bathroom to change babies whilst leaving our prams by our table. Upon returning back our table was given to someone else. Had to wait another half an hour to get a table. No customer service I felt like I walked into Westfield food court it was absolutely shambolic. The lady at the front took our order after trying to get hold of someone for a while to place an order for food. She was trying to persuade us to not order saying food will take too long to arrive and that she can’t guarantee to give us desserts after our food arrives as that’s what we requested she was trying to dictate what we order off the menu based on what they already have prepared in the kitchen. There was workers leaving shift crying. Absolutely diabolical.

Awful customer service. Was told our food would come after 20 mins because they were busy but they'd bring our drinks over straight away. Almost an hour later, no drinks, no food, no acknowledgement or apology from the staff. Plenty of groups came after us and got served. They seem to prioritise certain customers and not others. Don't come here. Especially if you have hungry kids.

This is the second time I've eaten at Haute Dolci, and in all honesty the food isn't amazing. Its nothing exciting that hasn't been done before and better. We went for the Iftar meal this time, which was worth the price. For about £20 we got a main, fries, drink and dessert. The food for the 4 of us came out so slow, there was a 25min gap between the first item and the last of the mains. It was frustrating because someone's burger would come, but no fries till 15mins later, and some food came cold. I spoke to Surbhi about this, and she was so amazing and made a point to go and collect our last few items straight from the kitchen. When it was time for dessert, I explained to Surbhi that I wanted all the desserts to come out together, even if that meant waiting slightly longer, and that's exactly what happened. The service is great, some better than others. But Surbhi definitely saved the evening for us with her amazing customer service. The decor is without a doubt beautiful. Parking is close by, so convenient, and they have a prayer room. But if you're more into food than the 'gram', I'd look for somewhere else.

We were served by Sumesha and Apekshya who were beyond fantastic! We ordered a Matilda Cake which was awesome!! Gooey and chocolate overload!!! San Sebastián cheesecake was great! Service and food were all fantastic!😎 Will definitely be returning for our sweet cravings!

Review of Haute Dolci Ilford I had high hopes for Haute Dolci Ilford, but it was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the lack of organization and poor customer service were glaringly obvious. We were seated at a table but left without menus for 15 minutes, eventually having to get up and ask for them ourselves. The desserts looked incredible on social media, and that’s what drew us in. However, the reality couldn’t have been further from the glossy photos it felt like everything was just sugar coated hype. The restaurant is severely understaffed, and it showed. I decided to order mains before desserts, but half the burgers on the menu weren’t available. When our food started to arrive, it came in incomplete waves. Some dishes were missing entirely, and we had to repeatedly ask the staff two or three times just to get everything we ordered. After the disappointing mains, I was eager to try the desserts, the very reason we visited. Unfortunately, I was told there was a backlog of orders, and it would take ages to get served. In frustration, I had to walk to the counter to pay because waiting for the bill would’ve easily cost us another 30 minutes. The staff were unprofessional, running around like headless chickens without any coordination. The lack of training and management was painfully evident. I’ve heard good things about other branches of Haute Dolci, but this Ilford location is a major letdown. To top it all off, my kids were heartbroken as they didn’t get the desserts they were so excited for. The decor felt cheap and didn’t justify the overpriced menu. This was an atrocious experience, and I will never return. Save your money and find somewhere else you’ll thank yourself later.

The food was great. Fresh and nicely prepared. The restaurant has a lovely decor but lacked ambience. The website and restaurant advertise a lunch time special, which we were hoping to have but is no longer available. We raised this issue and was told that they need to update the marketing team to make the changes. This needs to happen as it's misleading to customers.

Avoid at all costs, just fancy lifting and interior with overpriced food and dirty floors. Save your money and go to Urban chocolatier, there service is amazing, have a wide selection and deserts and prices well.

This was my first and last time going to this particular restaurant. Firstly, I waited for over 40 minutes for a simple burger and had to ask multiple where my food was which was very frustrating as others on my table had already received and eaten their food. When I finally got my burger it was immensely raw. I thought that maybe it was meant to be that way but my friend had gotten the same burger (which she also had to wait extremely long for) and it was not at all as pink as mine. I asked for a reasonable discount or at least a free desert for compensation of a raw burger and the manger told me that she couldn’t do that. They wanted me to pay for that raw burger that I obviously could not eat without getting sick afterwards, so I just didn’t have a burger. Secondly, when we had asked a server to clear our plates so we could get our cake out to sing happy birthday, she said give me one minute and then never came back so we had to ask another server. This server was rude and had no manners whatsoever, and was very argumentative when we told her that saying “Move, give me space” and pushing through was rude and she could’ve just said excuse me. Furthermore, we asked them to bring the cake in as a surprise for the birthday girl but instead she brought it in the box that was still in the bag. We were not allowed to eat in the restaurant (which is already annoying) so we asked for some takeaway boxes or at least some tin foil so we could take the cake home. They also refused this and said we can use tissue to wrap up the cake… I will say that the interior was very fancy and a good place to take pictures and the slumber party special was fairly decent. But to sum it up I left there hungry and miserable due to poor service and uncooked food.

Really lovely place to eat, decor is stunning and definitely a place if your looking to treat someone. Food and drinks good too but as expected you pay a premium price for the venue. Added bonus they have a prayer room too.

We had a weekday booking for 4. We got there and the service was so poor we ended up leaving and eating somewhere else.l therefore I can't comment on the food. The place is very beautiful, the decor is fabulous. However, on a slow Tuesday after noon we weren't allowed to sit at a booth even though they were all vacant. We almost begged for this pointing out that they were all empty... it wasn't a case of other people having booked them as the server said it was policy to only give them to parties of 5. Two other people came after us and asked for a boothand were denied as well. They then chose to sit at the back of the restaurant as they had a stroller but the server said they had to seat closer to where other diners were seated. Needless to say they walked out as well. Very poor service.

Haute Dolci? More Like Cheap Dolci – Extremely Disappointing Experience I visited Haute Dolci with high expectations after hearing all the hype on TikTok, but I regret wasting my time and money. The experience was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Ambiance: While the restaurant looks beautiful at first glance, basic facilities were in complete disarray. The washroom lights weren’t working, neither were the lights in the prayer room. We had to use our phone flashlights just to navigate—completely unacceptable. On top of that, the washrooms were filthy, and when I asked a staff member about it, they shrugged and said, “It’s not working.” Seriously? Service: The service was painfully slow. There was only one worker on the floor, running around trying to manage everything. I felt genuinely bad for them, but it’s absolutely unethical to understaff like this in the UK. It not only compromises the employee’s well-being but also ruins the customer experience. Overall: It’s shocking that a restaurant operating in such poor conditions is even allowed to continue. A pretty facade cannot mask a complete lack of cleanliness, poor facilities, and appalling service. Save your time and money—don’t fall for the TikTok hype. 1/5 Stars. Would not recommend.

Sumesha was incredible ,nice food and atmosphere

I had dessert only and so did my friends, and it was really good! Also the service was very good, we had a really nice server by the name Apekshya. She was very pleasant and friendly and did her job very well. Only 4 stars for the atmosphere as we came quite late, and therefore it was a little quiet but that wasn’t their fault. Definitely would go there again.

I visited this restaurant with my daughter and another friend with her daughter. The atmosphere was lovely , clean and comfortable. The service on the other hand was very poor. We ordered 2 hot drinks , 1 dessert, 2 scoops of gelatos, and we got quoted £2.60 for chocolate curl topping !!! ( same price as one scoop of gelato). Ofcourse we did not order this… The hot drinks arrived first, the latte was ok, however the cappuccino had no froth and tasted and looked more like a chai than a cappuccino. The drinks and gelato’s were all brought to us one at a time by the waiter, instead of bringing it on a tray. After nearly finishing our hot drinks, we were still waiting for our main dessert to arrive, but after asking the waiters, they still hadn’t made it and apparently got told that we wanted it after our hot drinks ??? After the dessert arrived , we asked for an extra plate so that we could share the dessert, they gave us a small tea cup plate? I don’t think that was acceptable. The dessert tasted good … but due to the service and the prices, would not return again unfortunately. I think the place has so much potential, but for me it can’t just look aesthetically pleasing for social media, it lacks quality snd service.

San Sebastian cheesecake was delicious and Surbha was lovely! Also the restaurant looks amazing but you guys need some music on the background!

They've spent a fortune on this place in making it look nice but the food does not match. We had dinner and dessert. The ultimate club sandwich was absolutely awful. The flavours and fillings make no sense. Who puts caremelised onions with avocados? Avocados had even browned. Burgers seemed a bit overdone. At least the desserts were decent nothing special. Hope they rework some of the foods because I would go more often if it wasn't such a rip off! Update 1.1.24 Service is still hopeless and slow, no soap in toilets or toilet rolls. Update Sep/Oct 2024 I was blown away at how BAD the hot chocolate was at that PRICE! It just tasted like slightly sweet, hot milk! Instead of putting all that melted chocolate on the rim of the glass, why not put that in the milk? It would make it more chocolatey. And the oh so nutty is just 70% cream, very little drink lol Given them 3 chances, will stick to other places with the family.

I dont know where to start. 2 starts just because foos looka good and ia delicioua but everything else is horrible experience. I booked online table for 11am and received confirmation email but later on to find out it opens just at 11:30am. On arrival we where given table in the middle which is simple tables asked if we can sit in bigger round table but be told is for 5 or more people but places was not busy was just us and 1 more table at the time. We stay about 2 hours and in that time in was just 3 tables which they sit next to each other but the place is big after other tables left new people where sit in same place no change no spreding if you empty why you dont spread people and give them nice tables. We order some food and drinks and it took long to arrive in empty place. We order some chicken nuggets from kids menu when it arrive we adulus try and it was spicy and we told to staff which told us is mild, is not spicy and it was not use any spices to cook but you can see spices around chicken. Before leaving we ask for bill server give us bill at the table we left money in and we were about leave when they told us we didnt pay bill. I told I left money in and she told me I need to pay at the till what before was never mention. Staff didnt speak good english half what we ask didnt understand. We ask to recommend or suggest some of the foods they can not do that because english was so bad. Horrible service destroy all experience because we were looking to visit this place.

I recently dined at this restaurant, and while the food was actually pretty good, the experience was overshadowed by the attitude of the hostess. When we arrived, she asked us to wait because it was busy, which would have been totally understandable if it had been handled professionally. However, the way she spoke to us was far from polite – it felt like she was giving us attitude for just showing up. Once we finally got seated, the meal itself was enjoyable, but honestly, it was hard to enjoy the evening after the cold welcome we received. No one wants to eat somewhere where the staff makes you feel like you’re an inconvenience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone – there are plenty of great spots to eat where customers are treated with respect.

I visited this restaurant today and was given some cold, raw food that I didn't even eat, thus I would never recommend it to friends.

We came for desserts (our first time here). We weren’t disappointed. The food was tasty and served without delay. Sumesha, our waitress, was friendly and accommodating. Would come again. The decor was plush and calming, and there was no background music, which was good.

Most so-called brunch places' food tastes generic as if it's pre-packaged but this place genuinely tasted fresh and made in-house. The seating was brilliant, was in a booth😁. Had the royal breakfast, and my word did the San Sebastian cake bang🤤

Always amazing service! I have been here quite a few times for casual settings and also celebratory meals. Sam was exceptionally helpful. I had the chocolate sinner, pink lemonade and loaded fries which were all amazing.
