The Elisabeth Arms in Wolverhampton

A truly awful experience. As a family of four we thought we would pop in for a quick meal on the way home, as we were passing. How wrong we were. We found a table without any bother and decided to order at the table using the app. Our drinks took 20 minutes arrive, this should have been our first clue. Whilst we were sitting there we became aware that the people around us were not happy. After talking to them we found that they had been with for an hour and half. Their food came a few minutes later but two of the three meals were cold. They were not the only ones that were having issues, there were at least four other parties around us who had also been waiting for more than an hour. By this time we were coming up to an hour's wait ourselves. At this point I asked for a refund, which they were happy to give. Unfortunately because we paid through the app a refund is going to be a problem. So I've not had it yet. I am supposed to be getting a phone call today (27th March) to arrange the refund. I appreciate that sometimes there are problems. What I do have an issue with is not being told. No one from the staff came and explained that there were any issues or even that the food might be late. I would not recommend this place and will never visit again.

Honestly I can't say a bad word about the place, we've been time and time again and everything from Charlotte to Edd to the insanely positive bar staff, every visit is always a pleasure. The food comes hot and on time every single time, we've never had a single problem and with the manager freely walking the restaurant you never feel like you don't have someone to talk to should you ever have a problem. Atosmephere is always lively, family's and groups of mates just enjoying their time at this wonderful place really just seal's this place as one of the places we will always return to! Highly encourage all those that live local to give this place a chance

Went today with the 40 % voucher a little busy but to be expected so an hour wait for the food. However the food is worth the money and the staff are very good in particular Vicky who works behind the bar she was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall it was a good experience

If I could give zero stars I would. Had to wait over an hour and half for food which eventually came out and wasn’t even up to standards the corn on the cob was white chips needed longer. Burger was cold that the cheese hadn’t melted. Asked for my money back and was told no. There was friends of the bar staff walking round being all loud and roudy which made it even worse couldn’t have a conversation over the shouting. Haven’t been for a while and definitely will not be returning. Never been so disappointed going for a meal would have rather of gone to maccys.

Food was not good. Pub was really busy and 2 staff on - long queue's when ordering food or drinks.

Been here a few times now and never had a bad meal, I'd highly recommend the BBQ beef ribs, the meat just falls of the bone

Long wait for food on our visit. Added to the unruly kids, it became a bit of a drag. But the food was lovely

Reserved a table that was ready when we arrived, all the staff I came into contact with were friendly, efficient, professional & helpful. Great large menu with plenty of choice. All our meals were excellent, I had steak&chicken with chips, we had steak&scampi, classic burger and build your own wrap on the kids menu. Nachos plate too. All my family enjoyed it all. We will definitely visit again!

Been in a few times for family birthdays. Great atmosphere, but we have the best service from a girl called Chloe one of the staff that works there always smiling and so polite and was there if we need any help. Will be carry on coming here

Very spacious inside with a pool table and lots of seating area. Although my visit was brief, this was a great little find. The staff are very nice, in particular Ed who was very helpful, professional and a great host.

His ability to create a comforting environment while expertly crafting drinks made all the difference during a difficult time. I truly believe he deserves the title of "Barman of the Year 2023." The food is ok. Portions are small for the price. Staff aren't very friendly but not rude. Just don't really engage. It's just ok.

I had a lovely evening with friends I had the Christmas cracker stacker special burger and upgraded my fries I asked for extra cranberry sauce and it was delicious

Felt cheated by the free welcome drink offer, placed order for food and drink, my drink wasn't on the offer , only Carling is included on offer, on the second round of drinks Carling is now not free because the code has already been scanned and is now invalid even though its not been accepted.

Pub half empty on arrival, long queue for drinks, hardly any glasses, had to use the same glass all night. Long wait for food which looked like a mosh on the plate, no presentation at all. Badly cooked, badly served although the waiting staff did their best to keep us happy. Not enough staff at all, hate to think what the kitchen is like. Most of us left our meal at £14 each. Sizzler needs to up it's game, poor, poor show.

Visited today for an early lunch as 2 adults and 3 children. Not visited here for some years now and I must admit the place is looking very tired now and in need of some investment. This is a shame as the location, the staff and the building itself is very good. The staff particularly were very welcoming but seems over stretched when more customers came later. As for the food...we ordered from the feed the family for £16 so I will try and balance my thoughts. The portion sizes were quite small but I guess that is the compromise for ordering from the offer menu. The food was ok but largely underwhelming. We paid £5.99 for a boneless SFC to accompany the mains but this came as 3 nugget sized pieces of chicken. Tasted ok but for £2 a nugget is way overpriced. In comparison wetherspoons or hungry horse offer better quality food, larger portions sizes and particularly wetherspoons more value options on drinks. Shame as could be so much better

I been using this restaurant 4 years now, but resently I went I ordered food and unfortunately the chef fell ill and couldn't finish the cooking, so they gave me a refund, but it's been over 2 weeks now and I still not had my refund, and every time I phone 2 ask were my refund is they seem 2 thobe me off, very poor customer service in my eyes, so I had 2 get in touch with my bank 2 sort it 4 me
