Lakshmi Sweet Centre in Wolverhampton

I would tell eveyone about Lakshmi's and still do to an extent. This used to be the best place for snacks, most of the snacks are still outstanding. The spring roll 10 out of 10 the absolute BEST 100%, if you want the best Indian Veg Spring Roll in the Midlands THIS IS IT!! HOWEVER The Veg samosa USED to be the best in Wolverhampton until they added mustard seeds/pods, i have no idea why on earth they would change something that was Sooo beautiful. I really wish they hadn't changed the recipe to add this as it brought it down big time. I used to travel across the city for this but now just stick to my local 2nd standard lol #ChangItBack #LegendarySamosa

Bought chilli chicken today chilli chicken was very chilli too much in there burnt my mouth and didn't enjoy the food had food from here before which is great but today not happy about it did phone them today too tell them that there was too much chilli in the chicken happens again will report it to the health and safety to the council

Food is always amazing here. The customer service I always receive from ‘Arsh’ is always fantastic. Service with a smile she is an asset to the Restraunt.

HORRIBLE RESTAURANT! The customer service is terrible and the staff are so careless about the customers. The food came in tiny portions and wasn't even cooked properly, it tasted off .The staff were dismissive about this and they didnt seem to care.They treat customers poorly and the food itself is waste of money . We weren't even given water to drink and we had to ask for it many times! It was ridiculous.

The food's ok but the service could be improved. I found the people working there to be gruff, grumpy and offhand. And it was the same when I visited a couple of years ago. Shame. Hopefully the management will one day sort it out.

5+ Stars. Great food. Unbeatable Service. We sneaked in after they had closed. But the Granny-Grandson duo welcomed us with all smiles and accommodated our request for takeaway. Definitely coming back soon for a proper meal.

Lovely food to suite most pallets both veg and non-veg food served with a good selection. Portion sizes are good some of the states are like a main very filling staff friendly. Restaurant was well kept and clean .Will definitely be going again .

Many times i visited the place but every time staff delaying & ignoring you even they know you are ready to be order.twiced i ask to take my order but they are always busy in some other works its like disrespecting the customers.staff need to be professional.

We did a large buffet party downstairs at Lakshmi at the weekend and we were really happy with the quality of the food, it came out hot and all of our guests complimented how good the food was. Kids meals were great, generous portions. The service was on point. Pete really looked after us and sorted out everything that we needed. Would definitely do another small function there again, and would highly recommend

Been going here for 30 years plus ever since massar ji passed away this place has been going down. We have received matiyai in steel containers and when I phoned to say this I never got any reasonable reply back. This place has failed me and others who are true in complaining about this place.

Staff very cooperative and food also tasty and enough space for eat in everything perfect.

Ordered food for new year after recommendation. Phoned order 3 days before and drove 23 miles to collect. Easy collection process, food was ready to go, checked and paid. Food was delicious and added extra dimension to new years having to just warm up and not cook or wait an eternity for a takeaway. Highly recommend and will be back.

Best papri chaat! Authentic food, prices are above average but no compromise to quality. Service could be better, tends to be slow to order and serve.

Had a party here. From start to finish the manager and his staff were brilliant. I am an English person doing a surprise Indian party for my Husband. All staff were so helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and had loads of compliments from guests 😊. The staff worked really hard on the night and all were polite and friendly , again nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend having a party here infact just might book another

Spectacular food and outstanding friendly service with smiles all round when visiting Lakshmi with friends the other day. Heard very good things about the chilli paneer from Lakshmi and was not disappointed. Was seated quickly upon arrival even without a table booking. drinks and delicious food were promptly served to us. We even got to sample some of the delicious sweets on offer whilst paying our table bill at the end of the evening, that tasty we left with a box of them to have later that evening. Great value for money. Delicious food and friendly staff. Thank you very much for your kind service. Will definitely be paying another visit soon!

Amazing food, amazing hospitality. Came with a group of friends for a meal, and we were completely blown away with how good the food was. Especially the chilli paneer! All staff were lovely and helpful, especially the lady when we paid (I think the owner) who explained all the sweets they had, and gave us some to taste aswell! Very generous, excellent food, very reasonable prices too. We will be back soon! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Nice restaurant and good spicy food. I ordered Vegetable Biryani, costa 7 pounds. Quantity was good enough for one person. No plain water given, need to purchase water bottle for 1 pounds. To pack the left over food, I paid 50p.

some one recommended this place and I visit this place last week and i brought some sweets when I asked to give me mix sweets he said if i want mix sweet i have to pay more £5 other shops never they charges you extra for mix sweet it’s should be customer Choice he didn’t asked me what i want he just give me his own choice, also the staff was rude behaviour lack of customer expedience also the sweets taste was horrible tasteless hard to eat. I will never recommend to this place to my family’s and friend was disappointed place.

We had the best experience of a family lunch at Lakshmi’s today with at party of 21 people. The booking was only made a few days ago. The staff and service was excellent. We had a 3 course Buffett and the food was pipping hot and mouth watering. It was like home cooked food nothing was greasy at all. Definitely had value for money!!!! We booked for a large family meal at Lakshimis. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We had pre - ordered the food and they advised us on the quantity to avoid wasting food and spending an unnecessary amount of money. My family have been coming here for 30 plus years, the food has never disappointed. Good home made food.

Had a lovely experience at Lakshmi’s this morning - delicious vegetable samosas, a selection of mithai and plenty of chai. The chutneys served alongside were also very tasty. The fresh milk used in the mithai makes a huge difference, easily the tastiest barfi I’ve had. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated inside and lovely staff too, will be back to try more soon!

Refused to give us tap water so we walked out. They said we had to buy bottled water and wanted to charge us. Will not be going back here again.

To think I travelled from birmingham to this restaurant and paid what can only be considered ridiculous prices £5 for aloo paranta only! also bought chola and a dosa and the taste was very BAD. The place is okay and in a decent location but there are other places which charge half price and their aloo paranthas taste brillant. As an out of town visitor, I would not reccommend this place and was told by a shop keeper on the same road this place is bad for food. Please avoid and save your money and to top it off I went there for a milestone birthday and left feeling very disappointed.

Waited to be served and no response. Seemed more concerned with people dining in. Been a customer for years but no more and no thanks. Even other customers that were waiting were complaining but fell on deaf ears, finally had to walk out

You'll find better food for cheaper prices nearby. Lamb was very fatty, curry was greasy and tasted.. Weird. The fried rice was clumpy, soggy and over-seasoned. Naan bread was without a doubt the worst naan ive ever tried, very dry, crumbly and floury. Not much more I can say about the food other than I’ll never order from here again.

Had a function here at the upstairs hall.The food was quite decent and the service was adequate.The ambience was quite nice.Not a bad place.

Came here a few days ago.having being here many years ago which was very good .but this time it was terrible.the food was mediocre. The sevice was terrible had to keep asking for service.the waiters were at the back of the room on their phones.behind the bar were a bunch of young lads serving. I do not know if it is owned by the same people from the last time i came here 10 yrs sgo.but i would never come here again.

Delicious Indian food. Ample parking inside for those collecting items. Food is fresh. Honest people. They need to amend their website as it says that they are open 24/7 and neither delivery or pickup is available!

Food is ok st best. 2 stars is for the inconsistent service. Service is great from the lady (daughter in law I believe) and the younger lads. The older staff are quite abrupt and crass. My gripe is charging for chutney. I understand if a customer asks for extra, then granted they have to pay, thats reasonable but when you're purchasing food over £60+ (that's also increased in price) its fair to expect a small pot if chutney. Cost of living has gone up, its difficult to support your local community if they don't value your custom. There's many other indian mithai shops. Uppals etc all of whom will add chutney to you order. Its a small token, that's appreciated by customers.

A lovely Indian sweet and savory shop. Nice ambience and very reasonable prices. There is option to dine in too. I live in Nottingham and only went there while on a visit to our family in Wolverhampton. But will go back here again for all festival food shopping.

Horrible service and food, ordered masala tea and it came 30 mins later, cant call it masala tea it was very watered down and tasteless. ‘Fresh orange juice’ came 30 mins later too, we saw it sitting on the counter top for that long, no idea why we werent given it by any of the staff, again tasted very watery. Staff were very lazy and would leave everything on another table and not serve us, seemed more tired and fed up. Ordered masala dosa and lamb biriyani, dosa was very hard and dry no flavour at all with a very sour sambar and flavourless chutney. Biriyani was cold and same again no flavour.! Expected some raita/pickle to be included however nothing was given, extra £4 for raita! Does not make sense! Rasmalai was hard no flavour. Payment was also not calculated correctly they were going to charge an extra £13! Please make sure you double check the receipt (not even a proper receipt, all written down). Overall very disappointing service, would not recommend!!

We had a party upstairs and the chicken tikka given out was raw, we complained but no manager came to us to apologise, the kebabs, nothing special, the fish pakora, plain, family have come down with food poisoning, the ras malai was hard just put in milk, that's not how you make ras malai. Some of the worst food we've ever had.

Fish Pakora in starter was most delicious among all the other items! Paneer and Alu Parotha were okay. In the deserts, Jalebis were very crispy and sweet. Recommended!👍

We've been regularly going to Lakshmi for the last 20+ years and continued since they moved as a restaurant. The quality has never gone down, which is certainly showing their best service and dedication. I must admit that we went after 4 years due to covid but gladly no disappointment at all. I love the food 😋.

Always buy samosas from here. They really are the best and I travel from shropshire to Wolverhampton to buy from there.

Lakshmi is still the best quality Indian food you can get in my opinion. Hygiene is the upmost in my view, and Lakshmi has a new clean kitchen, so you knoevits good clean food your going to put in your body. The prices, surprisingly, are very good 40p for veg samosa and 60p for lamb somsa.

The food was decent enough. Would surely suggest to try “Dholla” (actually thats “Khaman” but it is being incorrectly branded all over the world😅) The staff was polite and the place seemed clean and hygienic. Over all, it was a decent experience!!!

Went here the other but my gosh the prices have shot up!!!! We walked out…wanted some good gappe etc apparently take out its £8 for the lot and to eat in it’s like £5.50 per portion I wanted 3 so I took take away instead. Overall they was nice.

I went with family for a meal at Lakhsmi Sweet Centre recently and the food was absolutely delicious. The decor of the restaurant was bright and stylish. Peter was the member of staff who helped us with our order and made us smile with his care for the table. I can’t wait to go again for a memorable evening.

Last night I attended a function in the restaurant with 18 people. Food & service was excellent. I always feel at home every time I am at lakshmi. Staff always go out of their to help. Tandoori fish, stag & Maki de Roti are the best here .

I went here for first time to try our indian stuff One thing i didn’t like that we can just order keema samosa but we can eat in the premisses but you can only order it and take away, Selling of keema smosa is okay but eating not and there is not sign written that you cant eat it and eventually when i tried to cancelled out the order staff said they cant because they already warmed up 🙄🙄

Wide choice of food at great prices, service could be better as you must expect to wait as not much staff on the counter to assist you.

I went to Lakshmi sweet centre with a party of 50 people last night. We had great starters and main courses , which consisted of vegetarian, fish curry, and a chicken dish .The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We even got to take food home. It was a fantastic evening.

The Lakshmi is a really authentic sweet centre. It has an extensive menu, is reasonably priced. The food is always lovely and hot. We go roughly twice a month.

Food is not that much. Behaviour of party hall owner (sharma ji) is a money minded and no parking space for the guest those who’s book party hall. They didn’t give any special service to groom and bride like seating and not treat not well. Thanks

we went for a family meal together with some guests from abroad, and was a large group of us. The food came out perfectly timed and also tasted fresh. The mixed grill was excellent. We ordered some Saag paneer and various chicken and lamb dishes. My favourite was the lamb bhuna that was superb and the cheese naans were a hit with my siblings. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants tasty Indian food which you know has been made to high standards.

Had salad the cucumber were old like they were yesterday's left over. The staff look at you and ignore you and laugh. Very rude staff not happy with there service.

Very bad customer service. I stood at the counter for nearly five minutes while four staff members were just standing there talking to each others. In the i had to ask if i could get served no please on thanks.
