Nearly 2 hours for this food and its cold as well, refound me back please

The food tasted good and we had no complaints with that. But we didn’t receive the order at the time stated. It arrived around 30 minutes late

The food was really good and I’d definitely eat here again, unfortunately this review comes with an apology as the number on just eat didn’t work and delivery didn’t arrive on time so in my haste I gave a really bad review on just eat, please bare with me guys I’m trying to get onto just eat to get this review taken down

the delivery time was 1 hour already, I called to enquire when it would arrive to be told my order has only just been received and was then 15mins late. 1 HR 15 for a delivery is ridiculous

Food never arrived, rang the number, the wrong number is listed, they have stolen the money from me

Ordered food (2 starters 1 main) at 18:55, it was due to arrive at 19:55 which is reasonable. It did not arrive at 19:55 I rang 3 times & they said it was on its way & apologised because it was busy (I'd hate to be someone who ordered food after 7pm). It didn't arrive until 21:15. Food cold, chewy & in edible. £50 straight in the bin. Don't waste your money!

Fantastic food on time no complaints

We ordered a mixed meat curry, and they sent us a seafood curry. This only has one prawn, one muscle, and two crab sticks! Who puts crab sticks in a curry? We ordered the food at 5:10, and we’re still waiting for them to replace it. I would also say they've changed the size of the portions. Since this place has changed owners, it is powerful. We will not be using it again!

The elephant used to be our go to takeaway and was great. We had used for a while so decided to order, wish we hadn't. Food arrived promptly but was like warm. My Pad Thai woth mixed seafood was poor, I mean what Thai restaurant puts seafood sticks on top?! Other than two king prawns the rest was mediocre at best and mostly just a heap.of noodles and egg, definitely not worth the £15 price tag. My husband's food, while not quite as poor was nothing to write home about either. Needless to say we won't be reordering.

Food was cold. Asked for chicken skewers to be separate from saty sauce as my son is allergic to peanut and it came in the sauce. £33 for a microwave curry and two bowls of rice

Food was cold as order took so long to arrive. Duck spring rolls were tasteless and black bean sauce was like water. Wouldn’t order from here again. It was an awful meal.

No prawn crackers despite spending nearly £70 on food but apart from that good , food was tasty

Fui allí con grandes esperanzas. Sentado recibió una primera ronda de cervezas sin incidentes, y fue cuesta abajo desde allí. Los camareros no están seguros del menú incluso pidiéndonos que ordenáramos comidas de contingencia por si acaso las otras comidas no estaban disponibles, en lugar de ir a revisar. Cuando se le preguntó específicamente si una de las comidas era picante (aunque no había un indicador de chile junto a la comida), el camarero dijo que no lo era. Tenemos nuestros entrantes después de unos 30 minutos. Cuando pedimos una ronda de cervezas de tigre, nos dijeron que se habían quedado sin cerveza de tigre, a pesar de que podíamos ver en las neveras. ¿Supongo que tal vez sacarían más provecho de algunas de las otras cervezas? Cuando finalmente llegaron nuestras comidas principales, el plato de mi pareja estaba tan caliente que no podía comerlo. Me encanta mi picante de curry pero este plato me quitó la cara. Y esto fue para mi pareja que no comerá nada más picante que un pepino. Ahora que habíamos esperado tanto tiempo para nuestra comida principal decidimos no pedir una comida de reemplazo. Cuando llegó el proyecto de ley lo único que habían hecho era retirar la comida que era comestible, sin tener en cuenta las molestias causadas por el hecho de que uno de nuestros miembros no había podido comer una comida con nosotros. No hubo disculpas, la camarera simplemente dijo que no me parece picante. Realmente decepcionante porque la comida en sí era razonablemente buena, pero el servicio era tan impactante que hizo que la calidad de la comida fuera completamente inútil.

My favourite Thai restaurant. Good value, lovely food and nice staff.

Tonight we went with a friend to elephant. Unfortunately it was misunderstood with a food .after we ordered main dishes and repeated order 2times (with confirmation that is not spicy)food has been delivered extremely spicy . We refused dish - without agreeing to get other dish because all table had main dish . Without any regard apologies or offer discount we just paid and left restaurant. Sorry but unfortunately we hasn't accepted this service.

We ordered a curry with no veg and it came with veg. Also ordered a rice with no peas and it came with peas apart from that very good 👍

Food quality was poor. Prawn balls were dark brown & greasy, the Peking steak was tough, mixed starter just about ok. Soup, chips & sauces were good though.

Never received the order was delivered to another house so don’t see the point in a confirmation number if it’s not asked for

Food was supposed to arrive at 19:15, messaged just eat and was told that it would arrive by 19:50, didn’t arrive until 19:57. The food was stone cold by the time it arrived, a real disappointment.

Still waiting zzzzz 2 hours yawn

We placed an order at 6.30pm and it’s currently 9.55pm and still no food. We received a notification at 8.10pm to say our food was on its way. I completely understand it is New Year’s Eve, but as a hospitality professional it is the restaurants job to only accept orders they can fulfil. About to raid the freezer to see what I can feed the kids!

Order still hasn't arrived!!!! Been waiting over 3 hours!!! Restaurant said our order was next and that was over 40 minutes ago!!!!

I’ve ordered from here before and thought it was decent, but today’s food was a real letdown—bad enough for me to leave a review. Attached is a picture of the BBQ ribs: it was literally just pork tossed in sweet and sour sauce. Extremely disappointing.

Fuimos a comer un sábado por la noche, la comida era buena, excepto por el postre que era un helado que parecía que había estado en el congelador demasiado tiempo, el restaurante no tenía ambiente, el servicio no era bueno, la mayoría de los servidores tenían la personalidad de un pescado mojado y la cuenta para dos personas llegó a £ 114 (y solo tuvimos 2 bebidas). ¡Te hicieron sentir obligado a pagar por el servicio, el menor de los cuales era del 10% hasta el 50% de la factura! No volveré como podría haber ido al restaurante de Londres por ese precio y recibió mucho mejor servicio y ambiente.

Driver was super polite and turned up early food was lovely aswell

No soy un gran admirador de la comida china y tailandesa porque estoy acostumbrado a consumir comida bengalí caliente y picante y, por lo tanto, encuentro la comida china y tailandesa demasiado sosa. También tengo hambre rápidamente después de la comida china. Sin embargo, Elephant fue un tipo de experiencia diferente y única. Fue muy recomendable para un punto de reunión de discusión de negocios. Este restaurante tiene características de la ciudad prohibida en China - . La pared interior está decorada con placa de oro duplicado en negrita con inscripción china (advirtiendo a los transeúntes que no entren en la ciudad prohibida) y la silla roja y de terciopelo, el triángulo y las mesas negras cuadradas complementa el diseño chino interior. Fuera del restaurante se encuentra una estatua masculina duplicada del ejército de terracota en la hierba cosmética verde que recuerda la historia del primer emperador en China. El restaurante cuenta con luces naturales provenientes de las ventanas y una gran araña de cristal. Hay un gran bar en la entrada principal del restaurante para relajarse después de la comida Es absolutamente impresionante y genial para negocios / familia y experiencia romántica. Nos quedamos absolutamente sorprendidos con la comida de fusión china y tailandesa que estaba en un nivel diferente. Todo lo servido era halal. La sopa Tom Yum servía como entrante era refrescante y puedo saborear jengibre / calamar / hierba limón y pescado. Este entrante fue seguido de picoteo de pato - Un pato crujiente tierno aromático cortado y envuelto alrededor de tortitas dulces. Absolutamente una boca - regador y sabroso plato. El arrancador estaba tan lleno que fue necesario un gran descanso. Después del descanso, nos sirvieron con el plato principal. . Tailandés Curry verde, pollo agridulce y revuelva - freír el rey tailandés gambas ajo y chile. . El curry verde se convirtió en mi favorito y pude saborear el 🥥 coco, chile, pollo y saborizante infundido para dar un cremoso sabor picante rico. El arroz de grano largo complementó los platos y empapó un poco de la salsa picante. Tomamos té chino para ayudar a la comida a digerir. Fue absolutamente un maravilloso punto de encuentro de negocios en el Elephant. Te recomiendo probar si estás en Bedfordshire

Just eat gave an estimated delivery of 35-50 minutes before ordering. This changed to 70-90 minutes once we’d paid. The duck was crispy and succulent. The chicken satay was yummy but cold. The ribs were dry and bland.

It was over an hour to wait for our food. However, everything was absolutely delicious!

We ordered a takeaway last night at 6:50, and was told that it would be an hour to an hour and half, which we were okay with and understood as it was a Saturday night. At 8:45 my husband rang and the phone was engaged so he gave it another 5 mins and rang again still engaged, he then left it 15 mins still engaged and still no food! Our food arrived at 9:45 and was cold. When we mentioned to the delivery driver that we tried to ring he said they turn them off which is not good! The food was cold when it arrived and after waiting 3 hours we were no longer hungry. Rang this evening to talk to the manager when my husband was talking to them they put the phone down on him. I'm not impressed at all with service and will not be eating with them again!

According to the app here order was delivered 20:10 when actually it was 20:40. App was also was giving estimate time between 20:05-20:20 originally than changed to 20:25.

Placed my order at 6-25 on the just eat app saying to be delivered between 7-40 and 8pm , turns up at 9-30 and luke warm and no apology apart from we are so busy

Long time to wait for something mediocre to be honest. Heard good things so thought we’d try it and it was nice enough but the price for what you get in flavour is not great. Paid for restaurant pricing but for average takeaway food.

Visited last night with 2 friends, and was a bit apprehensive due to the mixed reviews. Despite an initial mix up with the starters we had a great night with fantastic food. Will definitely go again

Delivery was an hour late. Called restaurant twice who seemed to have no idea what was going on constantly saying that it was on its way but never bothered to ask for address. Will not be using again.

Didn’t prepare my order and lied when I called about it having already been sent. Almost 2hrs waiting and then the food was terrible.

Absolutely terrible service. Food was so late - took just a little less than 2 hours for food to be delivered and that was after several phone calls to restaurant. Restaurant is only round the corner. My friend and I are both diabetic and the length of time was not good for us. No apology or anything. Not one that I will use again.

Second time we’ve ordered from The Elephant. This time i went for a Panang style curry with rice and my partner had the tofu in black bean sauce. Always sceptical as veggies what way people will cook the tofu (as no one likes it soft and not deep fried lets be real). Have to say we both loved our dishes and will definitely order again from here. The meal was hot and delivered between the timeframe they suggested. Overall a strong 9/10 meal was had.

This is the second time I’ve ordered from them and each time I didn’t get one item that I ordered , what was delivered was good so I didn’t complain, but they need to ensure the order is correct

Apparently the driver found another street with the same name in the area, whatever. Then we received a wrong order.

This is the second time ordering from this place and the second time it’s taken nearly 3 hours to come it was so late family members had to go home I will not be using this place again

Food very tasty and fresh, all delivered on time. Order notes acknowledged, unlike the majority of other restaurants on Just Eat. Would definitely order again, thank you for such a delicious meal.

Possibly the worst Chinese take away we received. Duck was extremely fatty, boiled rice was rock hard, noodles were disgusting to the point all food was thrown away! Also to add 1.5 hours late with delivery!!!!! Do NOT recommend!!

I am genuinely shocked to read the reviews below as my experience was the exact opposite. The food was delicious and excellent value, the staff were friendly and efficient. I could not fault a thing, the quality of ingredients is a cut above your typical Chinese takeaway and the menu options are vast. Thank you for an excellent meal!

We ordered at 5.25pm, was supposed to be delivered 6.15-6.35. At 6.45 I tried calling the restaurant. Eventually getting through on the 4th time. I was told they would call me back to see where the delivery was. When she called back she was giggling that the driver had gone the wrong way and would be another 20 minutes. The food arrived at 7.25. There was no apology.

Considering it had to travel 25 mins the food still hot and really tasty!! The best Thai restaurant around 🇹🇭

I ordered a meal through Deliveroo. There was an issue with the delivery as the delivery driver was turned away from my house ( no fault of the delivery driver). I spoke to a lady at the restaurant who asked the delivery driver to redeliver. The driver was very prompt and redelivered my food. The food was very nice and I was very happy with the service.

Menu says one price for items (matched by Deliveroo). I went to collect the order and amount they wanted me to pay was almost £6 more than the combined price of items on the menu. Staff quickly became rude, if the food was worth it it wouldn’t be half bad but it wasn’t. One tofu green curry with rice for £15.80 is shocking simply.

First time trying here. Really good Pad Thai. Will definitely use again. 👍

Both of our meals were excellent and the staff couldn't be more friendly,y or do more for us. I would definitely recommend it.

One of the worst ‘service experience’ l have ever had. Initially let me say the food was very good. The service abysmal. There was an offer on a free bottle of wine per table - the table of two by us received this offer. Our table of 9 was told ‘it was an offer of one bottle per table’ - we were told by the server ‘ IT WAS BETTER THAN NO FREE WINE’. As a table we spent £300+ maybe more than a table of 2 for their FREE WINE!! The service was slow and surly. And at the end of the evening we had to ASK to pay the bill as the two staff were in deep conversation. Not a good experience- please drop in if you want to be ignored or told how lucky you are to be in there. An experience l will ensure l and the friends l talk to will be assured to avoid AT ALL COSTS.

We called to ask about gluten free options and nothing was too much trouble!! A very lovely lady went through all the menu items we wanted to order and checked the allergens for each item, changed up the sauce in some items to ensure flavour wasn’t compromised and everything arrived very tasty ☺️ great service!! Great to have Chinese and Thai options from the same place. Have been ordering from here for 10+ years always really good. A great amount of vegetables in the vegetarian options, not just lots of water chestnuts and onions like some places. Only feedback would be we ordered £40 worth of food, would have loved some free prawn crackers!

Ordered food and it clearly says that you should put any allergies etc in this box. I did and asked for no peppers, they claimed that they didn’t receive it. They were rude and refused to make it right. Never ordering from them again.

We ordered takeaway last night after dining here previously and it was absolutely delicious! Our favourite Chinese/Thai restaurant in Bedford, the chicken wings and Pad Thai are particularly amazing!

Disappointed poor quality of food, my last order was on edible. I basically spent £40 for me to throw away. After reaching out to them. They do not want to take any accountable.
