The Egerton Arms in Cheshire West and Chester

Beautifully kept, beautifully ran, great pool tables and dart board. Friendly Owners and staff who clearly take pride in the pub. It's a pub with a relaxed atmosphere that still gets lively and busy without getting anywhere close to rowdy on a Friday/Saturday night. Drinks are always spot on and the place is kept very clean and tidy without losing any of its homely warm atmosphere. Spot on!

I've been here a few times on pub crawls etc and have found each experience to be generally very good. Atmosphere is fine, relaxed and good natured. Pricing is fair and the bar staff are very pleasant: serving quickly and with a warm smile and a bit of banter. What more could you ask for! :) I'd have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We only called in for a quick drink, the place was bright, clean and although the pub was quiet, still had a good atmosphere. We didn't have food.

Cracking pub, went there after a gig in the live rooms which is just around the corner, really friendly atmosphere, great staff and a pool table , highly recommended

Retired reunion held bi monthly, great location, friendly staff and atmosphere.

A nice old school pub. We had a pleasant chat with a local lad while drinking beer before visiting the live rooms to see a band.

Came for a pint but the card machine wasn't working so had to get cash to buy.

Very nice and friendly pub located away from Chester City Centre (more towards the train station). Staff and clientele very friendly. Visited on a Saturday night. Prices were very decent too given the current price hike in the hospitality industry. Oh, and there's a pool table too!

Everything you could want from a pub. A landlord with over 10 years experience who is attentive and knowledgeable. Decent pool table which is looked after with 5 league teams playing on it. Dukebox which a lot pubs don't have anymore and best of all good beer at good prices. Highly recommended and don't change a thing please. Thanks.

Great little pub and a good vibe too. Usually a mature crowd in a mix of regulars and day trippers . Bar service is sharp with great value drinks on offer. An older style pub with plenty of character.

Came for a game of darts. Friendly bar lady and attentive too. Nice and warm inside which was nice. As it was a bit nippy outside. Very clean. Although the dart board lights were flickering really fast. I suppose it's these LED's that we have to put up with nowadays. Good selection of drinks. Bottled too. I had an old mout (pronounced 'moot' of course). A great pub.

This pub is a 5min walk from where me and my partner live in chester. We thought we would go there for a pint one night to check it out. At first we were enjoying the atmosphere and were minding our own business, even planning on coming back regularly. We were half way through our second drink of the evenin.g when the barmaid comes over and tells us we are offending customers and that our behaviour was unacceptable, so that we should stop or leave basically. Throughout our short time in the pub we were quietly chatting away to each other with the occasional peck on the lips because we were happy so I'm a little upset to find it was THAT offensive, there were a group of locals in there playing darts who were sat next to us that even said that the barmaid was being homophobic. So disappointed because before she said anything we genuinely liked this pub. Instead we were made to feel unwanted. Not to mention the fact that there was a very cute straight older couple sitting opposite us who were being more PDA that we were.

Great local pub, happily give the extra star.

Friendly and welcoming with a great selection of beer and a lovely little beer garden. We were very comfortable and happy there.

Such a warm and comfortable place, you do not have to fit in.you will love this pub. 5 mins from station.3 till late .even earlier at weekend, the best street in Chester for food , whether buying or dining, whatever the time.One day one street, does not get better.😁🕺😋🌹,Raini or shine.

I've been here a few times now since moving to the area, always a nice pint,bar staff good,not tried the food yet,be back soon.

Quient little pub, always pretty busy so makes a nice atmosphere, don't walk past go in for 1 or 3!

We were staying nearby for the weekend and the owner of the B&B suggested. The Egerton Arms was a great suggestions, it's warm and welcoming, all the staff are friendly and helpful. A great selection on the menu and the food is cooked well, tasty and well presented and in comfortable warm surroundings. Its just a great place to enjoy an evening out.
