What can you say Absolutely A1 meal served by great friendly staff.As for the meals one fish and chips like half a whale cooked to perfection with a pile of home made chips .My grandson had the ultimate eagle burger,absolutely huge to thick home made patties with an assortment of fillings also a pile of fresh home made chips The last meal Cymru chicken a breast of. Chicken in a leek and cheese sauce with sauté potatoes all cooked to perfection Some might think it a bit pricy but it is not you r cheap and cheerful type pub you get quality and quantity meals served by great staff A1all round

The food was Beautyful absolutly loads of meats Lamb,Beef,chicken ,Pork vegeterian options.the Food was hot and so tasty booked again The only problem is people who park out side on the main Road is made into a DEATH TRAP by people who park where they want BLOCKING ALL VIEWS OF THE FAST VERY BUSY ROAD ITS AN ACCIDENT WATING TO HAPPEN ,when we went on Sunday it was CAT N MOUSE TO GET OUT two selfish people had parked well over the entrance making it REALLY VERY DIFFICULT that’s the only thing wrong …..the service ladies were brilliant all food came out the same time and very reasonable priced thank you for a Delicious meal we will be back

My first visit to The Eagle Inn because some of our family lives in Swansea, and we are in Llanelli! It was an 80th Birthday Party and there were about 26 of us! We’d preordered the food in advance, and the service we had was faultless! Despite the pub being quite busy, the food was absolutely amazing and everyone ate at the same time. Hayley, was very helpful like the rest of her dedicated staff! I would highly recommend The Eagle to anyone because the food and service was exceptional - we’ll be back to see you all soon!

Went with the family for a meal to celebrate a 80th birthday, 24 meals served together with no issues at all, food was very good and plenty of it. Staff were very pleasant and very helpful. I highly recommend the eagle.

i had mixed grill my friend had the fish my steak was cold and the peas. lamb chop was so thing it was rock hard steak and pork chop was so thing dried out chips were nice and staff were good

Family anniversary lunch. December 17th so Xmas too. Food was plentiful, delicious. Service friendly and efficient. Very happy diners. Recommended.

Christmas lunch okay, veg was cold and had a long wait between meat arriving and dishes of veg getting to the table. Very shocked there were no disabled toilets available in the pub of this size. Lots of broken paving slabs outside making access difficult Wouldn’t recommend

We picked up a takeaway Sunday dinner. However, when I got it home it was completely cold. When I phoned the restaurant back they said they don't serve the takeaway food hot, they put them in the fridge and the customer has to reheat it themselves. This should be made clear when ordering and I've not heard of a takeaway serving cold food before.

Went with a group of friends 12 of us booked for 12.30 we had pre ordered of the Xmas Menu OMG it was so good plenty of meat on the plate with toasties boiled Yorkshire pud and 2 parsnips the veg came out omg there was so much sprouts swede cauliflower peas carrots plenty of gravy and pipping hot I opted for the beef and afters I had after 8 cheesecake eat far to much worth every penny if 22.00 (ish) staff were amazing front of house brill thankyou all round xx

Pre booked Xmas lunch with nine others 3 had starters Prawncock tail large glass full of prawns plenty of sauce all fresh tasting For mains has assortment of Turkey and Beef Dinners . What a meal an abundance of meat with perfectly cooked roast and boiled potatoes dis of pigs in blankets,tureens of veg sprouts peas carrots swede and cauliflower cooked to perfection.all beautifully presented waitresses kept asking if we wanted more veg plenty of gravy boatEverything red hot and beautifully presented.The desserts were lovely looking and large portions. Called on the off chance for a spot of lunch. Well worth the stop. Excellent jacket pots and creamy mushrooms also. First class service and nice ambience. Will call again.

Ordered two dinners to take away 1 beef 1 pork was looking forward to it as heard good reports of friends,was extremely disappointed as only had 1 roastie in both dinners and they were raw and 1 new potatoe each plus no stuffing in pork dinner,the beef and pork were fair portions and gravy and veg was nice but feel by only having 1 potatoe each totally let the dinner down considering price was £22.

Having not been to the Eagle for many years, when a friend asked for a suggestion for a birthday celebration, I thought Sunday lunch at the pub was a good idea so I booked it for 1:00pm for 4 people. The plates arrived with a delicious and reasonably sized portion of beef and the gravy tasted like home made but what a disappointment were the vegetables. Although ample portions, all the items were crammed onto one smallish serving dish between us. The vegetables were overcooked, quite bland and nowhere near hot enough.Why didn't we complain ? Why should we have to go through the embarrassment of upsetting our celebration? The food should have been right on leaving the kitchen. We'll think of somewhere else next time.

Really good service, amazing food and up to date with the COVID-19 regulations. Well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

Just visited the newly refurbished eagle . Had the chefs special which was delicious. Friendly staff and excellent service. Well worth a visit and will definitely dine there again.

I visited here for some lunch with my partner. The staff were very polite and helpful, asking about our day and made us feel really welcome. There is a great selection on the menu and priced good ( 2 for £12 in the week) !!!!!I would defiantly recommend this place as the food was delicious, I will coming back!

Xmas dinner booked for 2.30, arrived at 12 .30 to have a few Xmas drinks first, lovely atmosphere & was looking forward to dinner. We got seated had our starter which was prawn cocktail & was lovely BUT was forgotten about for the Xmas dinner order, so we waited nearly 2 hours for our main.we asked how long it was going to be as we were very hungry at this point & young waitress serving us said that the chef in kitchen said they will get it when it’s F******* ready....not very professional! Anyway lovely young lady from behind the bar came straight over couldn’t apologise enough & give us round of drinks on the house, shortly after dinner was served, it was beautiful despite the long wait . We had to take our desserts away as our taxi was booked to pick us up & couldn’t wait any longer to stay & enjoy dessert ! Would come back for Xmas dinner but hopefully next time it will be served abit quicker ! Staff were all lovely tho & rectified the problem straight away

Very disappointed with the service we received today, our table was given to someone else and we ended up in a empty room which was freezing. As we were isolated we had handle any service, and had to wait for nearly 2hours for food.The dinner was average for a Xmas meal, basic meat and vegetables, no sprouts ??I’m my 89 yr old grandpa wanted a take away dinner so we used all the left overs to fill a plate. All I asked for was some meat and gravy as we had already paid £35 for the meal, so left overs were included. The lady told me that it would cost me £35 for the meat and gravy but i managed to get it for £10???Absolutely disgusting service

meals are very good, sunday lunch gorgeous well worth the money, if they haven't got on the menu what you want , give them 2days notice and they will get it ,the staff are very nice go out of their way to help, the manager is very accomodating allowed us to decorate for my sisters birthday and offered extra banners. Visited the Eagle the other evening not our usual place to eat but were passing so decided we’d go somewhere different than usual and honestly we were both quietly impressed with both the food and the staff.We were a little disappointed that they didn’t have any steak on the menu, however we didn’t arrive there until approx 8pm (and were told they’d been very busy - so can’t be a bad thing, plus they finished food at 9). We will definitely go again and this time go earlier so we can try the steak.Would recommend.

booked on spure of moment busy pub seems a lot of regulars in and out whilst we there,do a take away lunch which had a constant flow. The meal was your typical home made Sunday dinner and PLENTY of it. We both enjoyed not just the meal but the staff who were polite and helpful Would definitely go again could be a regular occurrence for us. well done to all staff and yummy dinner.

The Eagle Pub/restaurant is about half a mile from my house, we go there at least twice a month, atmosphere is good, food is really good, as are the staff always pleasant... they are awarded best garden, even though the garden is small....

I had Sunday dinner there , i cannot praise it enough, it was delicous,pipping hot,Very Tasty the Roast beef fell apart it was so tender ,home made gravyThe Service was Excellent Polite Smiling faces ,Spotless clean.I will be having a lot more dinners there as it was very good price.

Five adults ordered lunch . The bill came to £70.00 plus. It was a complete waste of money. One other table complained about the poor quality of their food. There were only 3 tables to serve for the duration of our stay. The food was substandard, in our opinion. It was badly cooked,tough and impossible to cut and chew .The first meals were cold and we had to return the plates. Reheated meat,chips and frozen peas; totally ruined and unappetising.The waitress was apologetic but there was no offer of a refund.

I visited the Eagle last night for tea with my family. I booked in advance which I was glad about as it was quite busy. We had a nice table by ourselves, which suited us. Lots of choice on the menu and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food arrived not long after and we all enjoyed though a few more chips would of been nice.The Eagle has a nice atmophere but could do with a spruce up such as light bulb missing and no lock on toilet door. All simple jobs that wouldnt take long.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here today, the food was plentiful, hot and tasty. My rating would have been a 5 but the starters and desserts were bought in, not homemade and the tablecloth was soiled. I’d definitely eat here again though.

Been here a few times and the food has always been amazing. Visited with my girlfriend and had the buy one get one free burger offer, had 2 loaded chilli burgers with chips for under £10, BARGAIN!! Friendly staff, seems like a better atmosphere under the new management

Been many times, on our last visit for midweek toast ( Wednesday ), car park was empty, resteraunt also, drink in the bar, then lunch on an unmade table, insipid old veg, plastic beef, tasteless gravy, how can a place go downhill so quickly, or was it just a bad day?

A very good Roast Sunday Dinner delivered to address of choice. Good portion of meat and vegetables accompanied by Roast and creamed potato. Gravy was also supplied in a separate container. The childs meal was also very good indeed.

This place used to sell good food, has it changed owners over the last 12-24 months?! It always used to be busy, even on week nights, so I should have known something was up when we arrived and the car park was empty...

As good as ever, couple of pints of Guiness, (St Pat's).A delicious lamb dinner Del had beef, lots of hot Veg we had prawn cocktail starter all delicious, highly recommend

Mums birthday so 5 of us went out for lunch. X3 courses 13.00+ each, definitely worth it. Hubs didn’t want Sunday lunch so had gammon egg chips instead. He was extremely happy, Lamb was beautifully cooked, literally falling apart in the mouth. Plenty of veg to eat and gravy, pate was more than enough and black Fforest gateaux was lovely. Definitely will be going there again. Lovely food, ambience and company. Highly recommend!!

Thought we'd have a mid week meal out. There was only one other couple with a baby in the restaurant as we arrived who had just been served their food. Placed our order after around 10 minutes of being there, only to be waiting nearly half an hour for our meals. Half an hour? How? There was no one else there? Anyway, my partner ordered a steak well done which came out well presented. Only to find out once cut into it that it was far from well done. No problem, sent it back to have it cooked more. A family arrived while it was sent back and ordered food also. After waiting nearly ten minutes it came back out in the same state it came out in originally. So yet again I asked simply to have it cooked "well done with no blood in it" nearly another 10 minutes had passed by. By this time I had nearly finished my food and the family that arrived earlier were being served their meals. I'm sorry but I do not agree with that, if you've had a meal sent back twice, you surely should prioritise and get that done as soon as and back out to your customer. Not go serving another table and catering to their needs. Anyway another few minutes passed and by this time I had finished my food. The steak arrived and it was cremated, shrunk in size and black. Literally struggled to cut into it and everything else on the plate was cold. Complete carelessness. My partner refused the steak in the end and didn't eat anything. I know it's not high end dining but you should employ someone who knows how to cook a steak, ridiculous, will not be returning and I highly recommend avoiding this place. Do not waste your money, no apology was made. Go to mcdonalds, the service is better.

First visit we had all fresh veg and loads of beef and gravy...2nd visit we had frozen veg, frozen Yorkshires,beef was just cut so thin (in wafers). One of my friends had also been to the pub in the week and everything was out of a freezer (chips, fish, peas, homemade pie all homemade in a factory) absolutely tasteless. Pub needs a good clean. Bring back Pinky (RIP) and Ann they knew how to run a pub and her dinners were the best that you could have! plus the pub and the loos were very very clean.

The food provided is good and presented well. Menu is ok, a little limited but covers most tastes. Room is a little tight when busy. A good meal at reasonable prices.

People always tell me this pub is good ,I found it very dated and everything came out of a freezer so not such a great meal.

This was the second consecutive visit for Sunday lunch. It was as enjoyable as the first. Generous helpings of delicious food served in a pleasant atmosphere by friendly staff. Will be going back again.

My husband and I booked for lunch 3.15, no problem. We were sat by door to beer garden which was nice as it was a hot day. As we only booked about 12.30 when we ordered our lunch there was only beef left, I was a bit disappointed as I fancied lamb. The meal was quite prompt, hot, the beef was plentiful and so tender. We had tureens of vegetables brought to the table, sprouts,boiled potatoes, peas,carrots, Cauliflower cheese, roast on plates,Yorkshire pudding and gravy boats. Enjoyed.Price was about £8/9.

We visited as a Family last Saturday night, we all had starters and a main course, all different all delicious, my lamb chops done with garlic and rosemary was delicious, great atmosphere, good value.

Took wife and kids there for a meal never again ordered mega mixed grill my steak was over cooked took plate away and just give me new steak reatbof mixed grill was cold. Wife ordered a well done steal that was undercooked, when wife's steak was replaced there was hair on her plate waitrss was helpfully but manager or owner not even an apology.

This was a family get together to celebrate a 65 th birthday but turned into a nightmare ,as we booked a table early as one family member had o leave by 8-30 for work,so imagine our disappointment when we met and ordered at 6-30 and the meal wasn't t served til 8-15, giving my cousin 15 minutes to eat and pay his bill to go.it actually then ,spoiled the whole evening for everyone.we won't be going back.,although the eventual meal was ok.how long can it possibly take to cook a piece of chicken!

Delicious prawn cocktail starter, first class roast beef, plenty of veg and proper gravy, good dessert selection which we passed on, all for a good price.

I was lucky enough to get a table for 4 on mothers day. The staff were friendly and food was served in a short period of time which was surprising as the place was clearly fully booked or there abouts. The choice of deserts impressed us so we decided to go for the 3 course option. Parking, Service, Quality and atmosphere is why we will definitely be visiting regularly.

Had heard some good reports about the Eagle so decided to book for the family (4) for Mother's day lunch. We were on 1st sitting (of 3) and we were given a table in the bar which was OK and the place did look pretty busy.

I was there today on Mothers day you expect it to be overcrowded so some things you can forgive. We had a booking for 12 at 12.00 The service was shambolic to say the least they took the orders so many times we ended up ordering drinks at the bar and bringing them to the table ourselves . Absolutely not the fault of the waiting staff they were obviously new on the day with no training at all the young girl that served us initially looked terrified and kept taking the same order a few times when I went to the toilet I seen her being spoken to in an unfit manner by her supervisor about the ice in our drinks and our order I did interject with her supervisor to say the girl had got the order correct We then got servers which the management deemed fitter to serve us that went well (not). They spoke to everyone as if it was school dinners reading out every element on the menu and asking who wanted what, we had to raise our hands in acknowledgement of what we wanted and even that process took sooooo long it was just daft. At the beginning we arrived and seated at 12.00 the first starters (by the way the drinks arrives about the ones we hadn't got ourselves from the bar 12,30) arrived at from 1.10pm in waves. The food was poor it would take me so long to describe everyone's experience so I will not bore you with the details except to say someone at the table had looked up trip advisor another diner said they still shiver when they drive pass everyone at the table laughed and clapped it will be a story we will laugh at. But will never return. On a very serious note my daughter is veggie. The nut roast *OK a bit old fashioned but we were not expecting much from the Eagle however it came with its own gravy which tasted of beef I asked the waitress and she snapped it was a gluten free (as someone who had her own business in the hospitality and specialised in veggie and gluten free products I can tell you it tasted of beef) I can tell you that was not a veggie gravy and it certainly was not gluten free. Would I visit again no. It is clearly dangerous as the bar do not seem to understand dietary needs of customers

Came Saturday night at 6.30pm to be told we are booked but if you order now we could have food. So one session well done ànd one medium rare. Steaks cooked perfect but lacked flavour peas cold and chips as the should hot and crispy. Service good and please atmosphere. On the whole ok, waitresses very attentive in doing check backs well done. Please experience would return.

Ordered salmon fillet this evening which came out undercooked. The waitress expressed a genuine apology which was fine but the dish came out 10 minutes later, which by that point, my family had already finished their food. I had a great time eating food on my own. The food was below pub standard and certainly not worth what they charge. Considering the undercooked salmon, we were still billed full price. Could of at least deducted the drinks. Won’t be coming again.

Christmas lunch booked with 6 friends. We were last to arrive and already our friends said to avoid the white wine by the glass as it was dreadful. Unfortunately things went downhill from there. The minestrone soup was tomato soup with noodles. The skin of the duck portion slid off the duck onto the side plate. The duck, itself, tasted OK. Friends ordered beef which was inedible and was left on the plate. The veg. was beyond description and if I accurately described the parsnip I am sure the review would not be printed. The 'roast' potato looked like a scoop of ice-cream coated in breadcrumbs. 'Boil in the bag' appearance and none of us could bring ourselves to try a sweet. A pity as the young people serving were pleasant enough but we shall certainly never visit again. Customers beware. For about £20 a head we have had much better value, flavour, appearance elsewhere.

Booked to go too this venue for their Festive menu. Well what a let down. The duck pate was just about ok, but very small portions would only feed a child. The duck l’orange was very fatty and the sauce was so glutinous you could cut it with a knife. Also on the menu was a choice of desserts. But it took the waitress nearly 45minutes to clear the table from the main meal, then she disappeared again. So in the end we gave up the ghost and left without the dessert or the tea/coffee. Why she took so long I do not know as in the main restaurant there were only 3 tables occupied. I certainly would not recommend this meal/menu too anyone. Dreadful

We got there and the tables we’re decorated. When everyone sat done the bread rolls were given out but it was about 10 minutes before the starters came out.

Upon our arrival we were asked to wait for our pre booked table in the bar area. OK fine not a problem although there were locals who were using bad language which made my grandmother in law feel uncomfortable. We were seated in the very small restaurant room. We had a pram with us which made it difficult. We were however seen to straight away. Once I had finished feeding my daughter I asked a member of staff where the changing facilities were. Her reply 'we don't have any'.... I was amazed and shocked at this. I had to change her on the chair in the lounge where people were watching myself.

Great Service, Great Food, Good Value all in verty pleasent surroundings. This pub never fails to please, from their 2 for £10.00, menu or their excellent Wednesday Roast, all superb, lots of parking, in quaint surroundings

We arrived at this pub early evening with an elderly relative. Our first impression, from our uncle, was how nice the surroundings were. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The waitress arrived, and our uncle asked for a non alcoholic beer. Her reply was "we serve alcoholic drinks and soft drinks". He therefore decided to have a coffee. The regular drinks arrived promptly, but the coffee?. After 10mins, my son went and reminded them. 20mins later, in the middle of his meal, my son went and asked for it again. The waitress turned from him t0 the barmaid, and asked if she would make it, because the smell of it makes her feel SICK!!. So that was why our elderly uncle was made to wait 1/2 an hour for a coffee which my son had to bring back to the table himself. When leaving, our uncle remarked to the barmaid that it was a pity that they don't have non alcoholic beer, as he would have enjoyed one with his dinner. She replied, "yes we do sir, we have them here". Total disrespect. Food, poor, will not be going back

Went there a couple of weeks ago and I still have shivers when passing that place!!, waited for about 15 minutes until the actual staff came to address us all. Looked down at us for no reason at all. The food quality was atrocious due to the salad being more or less rotten, when I complained about it the staff said more or less there wasn't anything I they could do about it. The only two things I enjoyed that was how quite it was which is not a surprise and leaving that place! Top marks for the coke! Bottom marks for the overall service and food.

I booked a table for 16 people on a Sunday for my mum's 70th. Have to say that the food was delicious and piping hot. What stood out for me though was the efficiency of the waiting staff. A blond lady tended our table (I didn't get her name), nothing was too much trouble, excellent customer service. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

waited just over an hour for a jacket potato that could have been cooked in 15minutes, nothing special about it and served with a very small side salad that didn't even look freshhave had better meals there previously, but wont be going back

Visited this week. Chips were lovely. That's about it. The staff there don't engage with customers and the food on this occasion wasn't worth the money they charge. I wouldn't go back.

Phoned The Eagle at 4.30 pm on Monday 14th August asking if they were doing food today. Lady pn phibe responded yes we're open for food from 5 p.m. Made the journey to the pub in the pouring rain with 3 young kids only to ve turned away at thr door saying they had a private function on and were fully booked. Customer service doesn't get much worse than that.

My dining companion and I arrived on Friday 12:30. our meal didn't get delivered until 1:20pm. Ok the place was busy however, my meal (chicken Tikka) was stone cold, my companions (Lasagna) was piping hot? I turn down the meal and was offered an alternative, I declined as it would have meant another long wait.

Just returned from a family birthday at the Eagle, first time, and definitely be returning, omg so nice, proper home cooked food at affordable prices. Staff very friendly.Look forward to our return trip next wk.xx

My daughter has been here a few times with her grandparents for Sunday lunch and has always said it's one of the tastiest dinners she's ever had ..... (I've seen her dip her chips in strawberry milkshake so wasn't that convinced on her definition of tasty!) So for a 16th birthday meal she wanted to go to The Eagle for Sunday dinner. We were a table of five and were sat in the lounge which wasn't cramped. Service was prompt and very friendly. I had the beef dinner which was delicious!! The meat was so tasty and tender and everything was cooked to perfection. Despite the fact they were catering for a large amount of people the food still tasted homemade .... like grandma used to make ... ( the grandma that can cook .... not the other one who used to burn everything ). We will definitely be back and plan to make it a regular family catch up. Perfect Sunday lunch with no stress and no dishes !

We went in for lunch. The pub was clean and had friendly staff. My wife ordered the xxl fish and chips. And a whale came out. Tasted amazing as well. 8 had surf and turf and again it was lovely. Highly recommend here. Family friendly as well.

Booked in advance and paid a small deposit. We chose a buffet menu and there was plenty of choice and the some of the food was served hot. any leftovers we were welcome to take home with us and we did as there was so much on offer.

Been here before , a year ago, and again not disappointed! This time had the hand battered cod, which was absolutely delicious! Really really fresh flaky fish and a crisp batter. Lovely salad served with it and great fresh home made tartare sauce. However, not just the food great but the service and general ambience of this place. Sat here for almost 6 hours!!! Never at any time did anyone bother us to pay the bill or move on, so very impressed with this! Lovely garden here too! We had four main meals, four wines, a beer and a soft drink. One dessert (looked amazing), two teas, two coffees - all under £60! That's what I call excellent value!!!

We decided to The Eagle as I've not been here in years! We were first asked to sit in a cramp place, I asked us to move. There was not much room for us to sit so we sat beside each other. We ordered from the two meals for a £10. My girlfriend had the scampi which she said was nice. My pie and cheesy garlic bread was undercook. The price of the food was reasonable. I'd give it another try but suspect the issues were down to it being bust.

A well run establishment serving a vast range of foods to tempt all tastes and a divine selection of desserts.

Overcharged at bar , rectified when I complained but no apology. Steak ordered medium rare , came well done , sorted quite quickly, but not a good experience overall. Won't be going back.

What a lovely evening! We had a lovely welcome and were shown to our table to enjoy a pre dinner glass of fizz. The menu was extensive, something for everyone. My husband had the Ribeye melt off the specials board and I had king prawn provencal from the main menu. Both were delicious. Finally, I broke a golden rule and decided I couldn't leave without trying the dessert. There was so much to choose from and it all looked so lovely. I had the summer fruits trifle with cream and I loved it! We really enjoyed our visit to the Eagle and would recommend this lovely inn if you are planning lunch or dinner out.

Went here for my Dad's birthday last year, very strange set up, food was disappointing, cheap enough, but would not go back

Horrendous service, one of the waitresses smelt of smoke and had bad attitude....... and for my food it was cold and my child were frozen

Turned up on off chance for Sunday lunch and managed to get table for lunch. Hadn't realised it was a carvery but suited us. Food was reasonably priced and came with lots of vegetables. Food was reasonably good quality too. Plenty of choice of drinks too. Pub was busy so obviously popular with locals. Overall a decent local pub.

My husband and I booked dinner on New Years Eve. We had a fabulous evening, the food was lovely with excellent service and the atmosphere throughout the Bar, lounge and restaurant was just brilliant! Will definitely be going back to their next event and for Sunday lunch shortly. A very well run Pub with great staff and a passion for making their customers have an experience to remember! Well done all for a great New Year's Eve !

Good portion size. Had 8oz gammon, fried eggs and chips, side of coleslaw. Gammon was thin and on dry side unfortunately.price was reasonable. Service was ok. I haven't been left looking forward to going again.

We had an excellent experience at the eagle. The staff were amazing and the food was piping hot clean cutlery. The chips and bbq chicken was simply amazing. For the quality it was well worth the money. 10/10

Wish this place refrained from taking bookings for tables when they have large/private parties in and they can't provide a good service. I am all for booking Business but we waited over 40 minutes for a single course each off the menu - very poor. The unfortunate table opposite were waiting an hour.The staff were lovely - if overloaded ..... the food when it came was hot, well cooked and generous portioned. We were all so famished it spoiled our night completely -- then we all had to dash off home instead of sitting with coffee and dessert.Please don't take bookings when you are too busy to look after them properly - it really has put me off returning - which is a shame.

Poor quality food, mashed potato was lumpy as hell. Staff not trained properly with restaurant etiquette ie is everything ok. Coke was flat, seats are to big to sit in and not very user friendly as they are heavy. Food is super market food being sold as if it was done by a genuine chef thus tasting dry and tasteless. There was no decent presentation on the plate when the food came out, it looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Table cloths were a health and safety hazard. Boring and bland atmosphere and pretty grubby to say the least. If you like good quality food and like to eat out avoid this place. The eagle has a long way to go before you can call it a restaurant.

Never been here before, but what a pleasant surprise. Very friendly staff and food was superb and very reasonably priced. Very easy to get to. Would recommend. I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.

Went here today for a birthday lunch table was booked for 12.30 i was on my lunch break and had my sister in law to pre order my food for it to be out by 1 as was on tight schedule but it came out late more like 1.15 but that didn't really bother me but i ordered the grilled plaice and when it came out it looked lovey on top but as i was tucking in the fish was raw and not just a little !! but couldn't send anything back as had to be back in work and couldn't wait. so had to just eat my salad that went with it, really disappointed

20 of us went here sat 14th oct to celebrate a 60th birthday. No meals preordered yet all of us were served hot tasty delicious meals at the same time. Staff very patient and helpfull. No hiccups what so ever. Thankyou for making it a lovely occassion.

Lovely food lovely staff but having tables in the bar is a bit off putting when you got foul mouth assume regulars by the bar, we are far from snobs but every other word was f and a little off putting we were a large party with mixed ages.

went on a Monday for the 2 meals for £10 offer and was really pleased at the food on offer----I had the home made faggots, peas and mash whilst my partner had the ham, eggs and chips, both were excellent in quality and quantity, pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. great value food.

Haven't been here for quite a few years, but was pleasantly surprised how good the food was and such great service from the staff. Will visit more often now.

If your looking for 1st class service and a warm welcome this is definitely the best place to visit.. We phoned to book for a 21st birthday and the staff went out of there way to dress the table with a birthday banner.. The food is very nicely presented and tastes as good as it looks .. I would highly recommend the eagle to anyone xx

Even though they were really busy with several parties, we had amazing service from very attentive staff, the food arrived, looked great on the plate, was hot and freshly cooked to out liking and tasted out of this world. For a great evening out with friends or family you can't get much better.

Visited tonight with my wife for my birthday I had a mixed grill my wife had sweet and sour prawns food was great, service was first class. the owners have done a great job with this pub inside, it looks amazing will definitely return .

Haven't been for a long time so very disappointed that food was inedible. Waitress was lovely but had to send food back. Decor tired and tables grubby.

Enjoyed a wonderful family meal with excellent service and atmosphere. The food was amazing and extremely well priced.

First visit was for the Wednesday 2 course roast for £6.95---choice of chicken or beef roast and either soup of the day or a choice of dessert from approx. 12 offered. food took 35 mins to arrive but was delicious, dessert about 5 mins after waiting 10 mins for the waitress to take our order---again was excellent---both main course and dessert were home cooked and fresh----took about 10 mins to get the bill and then another 10 mins to pay at the bar---car park is a little cramped when full.

We celebrated my mums cv 80th birthday at the eagle treboeth, it was a fabulous night fabulous food and a fabulous welcome from terry campbell my mum was so overwhelmed by it all, its highly recommended by myself and all the family !

went here for a surprise birthday meal. The pub was extremely accommodating and even let us bring out own birthday cake!Food was good, and settling up the bill was made easy as the waitresses kept a running tab of all orders.thanks!

Recently went for Sunday lunch. Was served right away. Beef dinner was beautiful. Also the deserts are to die for. Recommended
