Lovely local pub! Locals were very friendly and told us about all the pub activities. Looking forward to getting along to the meat draw, burger night and open mic night!x

Lovely little secret hideaway, small menu but this works as the food was delicious. I had steak pie and I couldn't fault it. Good old fashioned home made food. I travelled from Southampton and will again.

The bar staff serving was really unhelpful, and actually quite rude. He made me feel very uncomfortable. The pub itself is quite rundown, and needs some TLC to make it welcoming. Would not return.

On west edge of Salisbury. Off road and on road parking. Nice outside area. Not over decorated, more of a working pub. Good interior seating.

We celebrated the company Christmas party here and had the place to ourselves! There was also a band called Solarbird who were fantastic! I would highly recommend The Duck Inn for any social events or simply a visit with friends. Great food - came out very quickly and hot. Great staff and a great atmosphere!

Improved a lot since i worked here 13 years ago. Estrella is ice cold and fizzy. Good taps.

Mainly a drinkers pub and perfectly adequate but didn't welcome the early cashing up of the till and speedy ejection from the pub garden.

Came for delicious Sunday lunch on May 29th and a very nice man helped me with my mobility wheels ( one wheel came loose ) so I’d like to thank him so much , without him I could see I was going to miss my lunch ! so another big thankyou for coming to my rescue . p Harrison .

Just had a roast very poor. Were sat in the back which was cold and dark.The fact the food turned up less than 5 mins after ordering was not a good sign. Plates and food were cold and if i order pork i expect crackling, completely tasteless and who the hell serves sweetcorn with a roast.

Best Sunday roast in Salisbury.

Attended a wedding reception on Saturday 26th. Food was excellent and bar was reasonably priced. Would go there again when in the area.

Don't have the right to judge as I didn't eat here. You can definitely tell it's a locals pup, outside it looks lush. Inside, with the sparsity and mix match of tables it was an odd experience. We didn't stay for the meat raffle, bit gutted by that, as we can an initime first date to crack on with. Won't be coming back, only because the distance is too great.

Nice to go to a pub again. They have a great band playing tonight.

Good range of drinks, not eaten there yet but the roast is apparently amazing.

It smelt really bad like fish or an old wet mop and bucket,which wasn't a pleasant experience especially as I was introducing a friend to the pub for the first time.

OMG where do i start, Booked the Duck Inn for my brother's 60th dinner party, All the staff were 100% , hard working, caring, helpful , nothing to much trouble, The food was out this world, Roast potatoes crispy, and fluffy, meat melt in the mouth,Veg cooked just right, Nothing was to much trouble, we filled the pub with fun and laughter, a fab evening was had by all, 100% would recommend, can't thank all at the duck enough,

Just had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the duck Inn Laverstoke. Best Sunday dinner we have ever had out . Plenty of meat roast potatoes Amazing and lovely choice of veg. Well done in would highly recommend and definitely be booking again

Such a friendly pub. Ordered cheese burgers, scampi and a brie toastie. All very generous portions and tasty. Service was warm and friendly too. Definitely worth a visit

Quiet and cosy, friendly staff and excellent food

It was just a stop to have a beer when on the walk. We were impressed with a very smoothly executed COVID-19 precaution here - you will order and pay at the entrance, then collect your order at the side of the Pub. A nice and spacious beer garden can accommodate quite a lot of people, but it wasn't crowded. We had a drink sitting under the gazebo, which was very convenient with the sun being bright this day.

Great outdoor area, covered too. Food and drink v overpriced.

The outstanding feature of this pub is the beautiful gardens the team have created at the foot of the Laverst0ck Downs. There is a food offer but the pub's good local reputation is based more on its range of beers, CAMRA affiliation and live music nights. Closed in Mondays and generally sociably quiet in week day evenings busy at weekends.

Great beer and good food in an absolutely beautiful beer garden. They have really made a lot of their outdoor space and the flowers, fountains and seating are all excellent, with a good covered area. The staff are friendly and do everything that they can for you. I went with some friends after walking in the area and they were perfectly happy with us being around in out slightly mucky walking gear. Will definitely be back.

The Duck is good for a pint when open. Opening hours are lacking and often shut when advertising being open. Tonight says open until 8 but all shut up at 6. Like all the guys a lot, but if it opened up and stuck to hours people would come back during the quieter days. Just a shame it’s often not and people do get turned away.

Lovely pub, friendly staff, and there is even a cat there sometimes! But it is a very private cat, so best not to ask about its personal life, otherwise it will snub you immediately. Food's good too! Please like if you found this review helpful.

The outside space is very welcoming and inviting a great 1st impression. The limited menu was great offering a good choice and food was excellent. The person at the door was not very welcoming which was a little disappointing given we had never been there before. We would visit again.

Met friends here as an hour's drive from both our homes. Great food, great welcome and lovely ambience. They couldn't have made us more welcome. Thank you 👍😊

A very pleasant evening drink in the sunshine. The owners gave made a great effort to make it comfortable in these tough times. Plenty of local support making for a good atmosphere.

This review only applies to all the people that have made Adverse comments about the duck inn, I've known Tim and beci for many years and since they took ownership of the pub the effort and hard work they have put into turning the business around is second to non, the home cooked food is amazing the range of real ales and largers are as good if not better than you'll find else were . Tim beci and your team i take my hat of to you all for all your hard work that you have put into the pub over the past 10 years it's what i call a good old local pub which these days are hard to find . So anybody that make Adverse comments/ reviews have absolutely no idea what they are talking about as i believe if it wasn't for effort that you two have put into the pub it would no longer be there. Massive thank you to Tim and Becki who catered for our family wake yesterday lunchtime. We received a really warm welcome and all the food was laid out for our party to help themselves. Delicious homemade sandwiches and cakes with urns for tea and coffee. Despite the swealtering sun there was plenty of shade under the gazebos. Great choice of beers served by helpful staff. Perfect distance from the crematorium with plenty of parking. Would recommend the Duck Inn for anyone like us, looking for a venue for a wake. Thank you again.

Got there at 12.00 to find no tables free. Didn't bother to stay. As a country pub, I would've thought there would've been free tables early on.

A hidden gem near Salisbury. Good food, beer & staff in pleasant surroundings. Worth a visit.

After extensive research i.e. 7 days per week over many years since Becky and Tim have been in residence i can recommend this establishment. I of course will continue my exhausting research. Nonnight everyone

Love this place !! Becky and Tim are quality owners of this stunning pub. The staff are great the atmosphere is great and the locals have such a laugh one big family :)

Staff where brilliant food was nice but i could of made allot of it at home although the prices where decent. Staff where really really lovley though and service was amazing. just think that the style of this quaint little pub could be so much more in respect of the food could be allot more adventurous. portion sizes where massive which is great value for money. They sell home made scotch eggs which was pretty decent my husband got quite excited over the prospect. On a whole the pub is good. Think it would be packed out if they did rustic pub grub.

It's an out of the way Pub on the outskirts of Salisbury Wiltshire, I've only been there twice with friends but it a nice place for a pint and a catch-up..

This is how pubs should be. This award winning pub has a welcoming atmosphere, it is roomy clean and bright with lots of seating. Our lunchtime light snack was excellent. It is very well wort following the signs to this off the beaten track pub close to Salisbury. W shall definately visit again.
