Popped in for cup of tea after nice walk on fen. Fruit scones had just come out of oven, so seemed rude not to try them. Absolutely delicious and good cup of tea to go with it. Swallows dipping overhead and Sparrows helping out with the crumbs, a lovely peaceful stop didn’t even mind the rain!

Although they have a menu of snacks, sandwiches etc., we didn’t sample any so can’t comment further. After a decent walk in hot weather we simply came in for coffee and were delighted to find that they do iced coffees as well. We had a couple of large iced lattes and they were very good indeed. Service was very friendly and efficient.

Cakes weren't great but did the trick after a long walk on the fen. They were happy for us to top up on much-needed water.

Stopped here for a quick lunch on the way to the Norfolk Broads. Simple but tasty food choices and friendly staff providing a good service. Free parking for NT members and nice visitors centre next door.

Plenty of choice and the food was nice. Fine for vegetarians. I think there was some vegan. Lovely places to sit outside with umbrellas. Also, pleasant inside. Good loos!

The Docky Hut cafe is pleasant and serves nice snack food and drinks. Nothing outstanding but pleasant enough. Its main advantage is its setting, at the entrance to the wonderful Wicken Fen reserve.

Buy bigger trays or a new tray rack - the continual crashing of trays is ridiculous🤨AND - this is 2022 - provide wifi for your customers !!

We called in here after strolling around the boardwalk on Sedge Fen (see separate review). We learned what sedge IS and why it was important to rural fen life. We had a lovely cream tea with a speciality tea and a 'proper' coffee. The toilets were spotless. All profits go to the National Trust (as do profits from the well stocked gift shop also on site) and we were delighted with our purchase. The staff were pleasant and attentive to our needs. We chose to sit outside since it was a sunny day. There are seats inside too. We were not rushed and the whole afternoon was a delightful, relaxed experience. Recommended

We visited on a very cold day. Staff were efficient and we did not queue long for our coffees. Distanced seating inside plus plenty more outside.

A good amount of seating inside and out and it has the usual NT offerings, mainly cakes and snacks and a few sandwiches. A useful refreshment stop if you're visiting Wicken Fen.

Hoped to grab a sandwich or sausage roll but unfortunately they had run out. However, the mocha was lovely and warmed us up.

Stopped for tea and cake after doing Country Walking route so round fenland. Great cakes different to the standard NationalTrust fare. So good not to be served in disposable/compostable cups.

The kitchen has been expanded by builing an extension on the side of the existing cafe. This has enabled the seatin area to enlarge and accommodate more visitors. Ther is also an extended outdoor dining area which is dog friendly

Great news that the cafe is being rebuilt this year - good progress being made already. In the mean time you can buy coffee and cakes from the temporary Docky Hut cabin.

Pleasant service, and nice coffee. Not a huge place but on a sunny day there are seats outside on the grass. We stopped here for coffee after a walk along the fen board walk.

I agree with one of the other reviews regarding the layout, everything is crowded around the door. Therefore there's people coming in and out as well as those choosing their food. We were lucky having visited on a dull not very warm March day so it wasn't very busy. How they cope when the weather is decent or school holiday times god only knows as in my opinion it's far too small. The food was OK but overpriced as all NT places are !

Don’t get me wrong, I love coming to National Trust properties, and I love Wicken Fen, but the cafe here seriously needs rethinking. The layout is appalling, with everything crowded around the door, so people coming in and out, as well as those choosing their food just bottleneck. It doesn’t help that all of the snacks aimed at kids are also placed here, so they just further add to the congestion. The food is OK but overpriced, and the one server was totally overwhelmed and flustered by the sheer number of customers during half term. An extra server would have helped her and the customers keep their cool. I would probably avoid in future, as I left feeling a bit stressed out.

After a pleasant walk around Wicken Fen we had an excellent cream tea at The Docky Hut café. Plenty of outside seating, including several desk chairs – plus a willow den for children to play in. Just need to be beware, if sat outside, of all of the birds trying to pinch your food – I think we saw more wildfowl at the café than when walking around the fen!

Good location for Newmarket, poor service. The rooms are outside in the car park & are small but clean & modern. Lots of noise potential when busy. Service lacklustre. Expensive for what you get.

I meet here with my friend regularly for coffee. It's relaxed, dog friendly, and the perfect combination of inside and outside. Ana, who served me today, was exemplary in her service, being helpful, friendly, and professional. Thank you 😊
