The Distilling House in Aberdeen City

No puedo elogiar el servicio y la comida lo suficiente, sin duda la mejor experiencia de restaurantes del aeropuerto que he tenido. Todo el personal sonriente y súper servicial. Incluso bromeando con la clientela. Desayuné escocés de comercio y cena, nachos, ambos difíciles de culpar.

No había muchas opciones, la comida muy cara no era buena sosa y parecía comida para perros, aunque no le daría de comer a mi perro. Fue lo suficientemente rápido y el personal agradable pero no bueno para la comida.

Un buen desayuno y café antes de viajar a Dublín. Emelia era muy agradable y la comida era excelente. Esperamos con interés mi próxima visita.

visitado este bar 29 sept 2024 . , En la primera ronda pedimos una ronda de bebidas: media pinta de sidra y una copa de vino tinto y se cobró más de £ 16. segunda ronda mismo pedido y se le cobró poco más de £ 8 . Cuando preguntamos esto, la persona del bar jefe solo revisó la caja registradora y nos dijeron que la primera ronda debe haber sido una gran copa de vino, no revisó las gafas que usamos ni consultó al servidor. Envié una queja a la empresa, y desde entonces ni siquiera hemos tenido un acuse de recibo y mucho menos una respuesta.

No hay muchas opciones en el aeropuerto de Aberdeen, pero evita si tienes alergias, ya que ahora te hacen firmar una declaración de alergia, ¡básicamente diciendo que no pueden asumir la responsabilidad si se estropean y contaminan! Esto es nuevo, ya que estaba allí en abril y no se preguntó. ¡Todo lo que quería era un brindis!

Breakfast was just what I needed Andrew our waiter was very polite and freindly. Table was clean . Did not have to wait long for food to be served.

Good half roast chicken plus chips and salad. Served by Orsi - she has good customer service. Food was pretty fast as well.

The Distilling House is a busy pub/restaurant located within Aberdeen Airport after security has been passed through. There is a good choice of dining options. Prices are not particularly cheap but are on par with airport prices. On this visit, I only had time for a quick pre flight drink. There was a good range of drinks available. Prices certainly were not cheap, but again, probably the norm for airport bars. Service from the member of staff behind the bar was quick and friendly

I fell in love with Orsi, she glowed beyond anyone I have every met. She helped with food choices and gave the right amount of interaction so we were not distracted from our meal or conversation. It's a hazard to fall in love so quickly, but alas, I am but a moth to her light.

We had Tower stackers and they were delicious. We highly recommend the place. Staff very friendly, especially Emilia who provided us with all the information regarding this dish.

We popped in for a drink and a bite to eat before our flight. The atmosphere was good, and food and drink were good and reasonably priced for an airport bar. Served by Orsi (Oreo), who was super friendly, made us smile and who provided excellent service.

Great service from friendly staff and the eggs benedict was excellent. Definitely recommend to stop for food before your flight.

Heading home and with a delayed flight decided to eat at the distilling house Orsi attended to us and her friendliness and efficiency made our experience here just that bit more special A lovely meal and great service. Thank you Orsi

Our plane was delayed for several hours, and we were looking forward to eating here to pass the time. From a first glance, this restaurant looked cosy and welcoming. However, we were rudely welcomed by a non-Scottish woman, saying we could not sit in a certain part of the bar / restaurant. She said the area was closed, despite there still being other people sat on other tables in that area. There were no signs to say the area was closed. We could walk through and chairs were apparently placed in front of the area to "show" the area was closed. However, this was not clear, as we could still access that area with our suitcases going through / no obvious obstructions. The QR codes would not scan on the table, when we moved to another "open" area of the bar / restaurant to another table. And it was not clear whether food was still being served at this time, the time being only 5pm-6pm / dinner time? It was an awful experience, so we had no choice but to go to a different airport restaurant instead, which was so much more inviting and welcoming. And this restaurant's food was great with little waiting times, (nearly directly opposite this restaurant). This much more pleasant restaurant was Bocco. Highly recommend going to Bocco instead to avoid disappointment! I hate leaving negative reviews but unfortunately this is the case with this restaurant and would not want other passengers to have the same negative experience, especially after delayed flights!

My flight was delayed and had no option but to sit in the airport bar. The white wine was very pleasant, and I had some prawns as well. The staff are very nice and efficient.

Service was amazing compared to many other service providers within the airport. Orsi was serving and was approachable, hard work and very kind to all patrons.

Served luke warm and dry steak and ale pie which cost almost 30 quid with a side and was told would need to pay extra for some more gravy to warm it up and make it less dry…. Won’t be returning here!

Hi, To be sincere considering is a pub in the gate airport area, the food are servicing is good. They offer good beer too, as it pretty common find in all Scotland but the game changer in this place is when Orsi is in shift. A positive and smily person. She make you smile, even if you had a s*** day, with a rapid and professional service at the table. Thank you a lot

Went for breakfast before flight I asked for lorne sausage in a bun. It came in a dry bun with one slice of lorne and tasted horrible

Been just sitting for a drink before the flight. My only expectation was to sit and relax, but Orsi who came to the table to take the order took it to a completely different dimension and made my day! I truly hope all people working in hospitality have the same energy and level of customer engagement as Orsi. Keep up the good work!

Could barely understand the barmaid. Said I could have fries OR salad with the fish. She couldn't understand what ham, egg and chips was from their own menu. When it arrived, the fish was half cooked and the skin on chips were like leather. My £3 round of bread was hard on one side. I sent it back but waitress gave no refund. Left most of meal. My wife's ham was similarly bad, the ham being made from the seemingly abundant leather. Don't waste your money like we did. Awful!

Food came super quick . And a very attentive Orsi made sure we were kept hydrated she was super friendly and kept us laughing

Good food, fast service. Excellent and friendly staff in particular Orsi who makes costumers feel special. The fries are perfectly cooked and burgers delicious.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast before boarding our flight. 6min wait time for the food was the claim which was no issue for us. 20mins later after watching several tables around us (who all arrived after us) be served we headed off to enquire where our overpriced rolls were. 2 mins for table 8 which was odd since we were table 18, asked why he delay and was given a very professional shrug of the shoulders and a grunt from the “server”. Another 5/10 mins go past, wife goes to ask again and the manager walks past with even less customer service skills than the server. Refunded the food and walked out. Avoid the place unless you check in about 3hrs before your flight and are an expert at dealing with terrible service

What a pleasure I had dealing with Orsi. A lovely person and a fantastic experience here. Would recommend her and the food also.

Best spot in Aberdeen airport for a hot meal. I had the Big Brunch, basically a full English with chips was really nice I'd recommend. The server Emilia was super friendly and welcoming, she suggested a pecan pie for dessert and it was amazing. All round good place with great service.

Meal wasn't great. Vegetables were raw not blanched! Staff took my plate away and could clearly see I hadn't eaten the veg but didn't seem bothered or ask if everything was to standard

Bar staff was quick but abrupt - server was rude and over familiar. Everything obviously overpriced as an airport bar but ordered the nachos which cost a fortune and weren’t even fit to eat… cold and the tiniest amount of cheese - really disappointing

Seeing that the main restaurant was full I noted that the overflow area that they had taken over and covered with menus and Q codes was free and so I went and took a seat. I placed my order using the app. A full breakfast, orange juice, and a coffee. 15 mins later a waitress came to my table and gave me a cardboard box. Seeing my puzzlement she said “breakfast”. She then explained I was sat in a “partner restaurant” as she called it. Apparently they were not allowed to serve on plates in this "partner restaurant" and it was basically considered takeaway. My protestations that nowhere on the menu, the app nor anywhere else was this explained to customers or shown was met with a blank stare. I was then given a cardboard knife and fork to eat the cooked breakfast that had been dumped into the cardboard box. My plastic glass of orange juice and takeaway paper cup coffee arrived shortly after. So basically I paid full price compared to sitting in the main restaurant and being served properly with a plate and a knife and fork, for a takeout. The breakfast might have been edible if it had been actually served properly but dumped in a box with elements stacked on top of each other it was not.

OK airport artery, good service. Waitress Emilia was very helpful. Our flight was massively delayed but we were able to stay for a while without being hurried out. Fish and chips was decent and prices about average for an airport.

I want to know how you can possibly think that £7.50 for a small bacon roll is reasonable - having travelled all over the world - this is the mist expensive bacon roll I’ve ever had - more than London, New York or Paris ?...
