Lovely location with stunning views and a lot of history. The bar is over three levels, each one different with amazing views and lots of great sitting areas. Service great with very attentive and happy staff. The food was delicious. Big car park and also lots of walks around the area. Highly recomended

We were staying at a holiday cottage nearby so ate there few times. Very good food, attentive service and reasonably priced. Beautiful surroundings. Dog friendly space (book). Bit busy on easter sunday, had late booking and staff knackered. Happy memories since use to eat here as child.

Easter Sunday and thank goodness my husband had had the foresight to book prior to coming away on holiday. The place itself is just lovely, great atmosphere, really busy. The staff were attentive and really very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. The food was INCREDIBLE!! We both thoroughly enjoyed our choices and would definitely recommend. Thank you to all the staff, you're doing a great job. 😍

A lovely place to eat, although a little confusing for first time visitors (just go straight to the bar and ask them for a table). Food was amazing, we ordered the fillet steak sandwich and the steak burger. Not much difference in size, the light bites are definitely enough for a meal! Would recommend and will be coming again if we come back to the area :) price came to £31 for the two meals, no drinks.

Lovely relaxed quality Pub, restaurant. Good is excellent, place is spacious , popular but not crowded or overly noisy . Staff were fantastic helping create the relaxed atmosphere. Stands out from everything else around

Lovely place. Been going here whenever I pass through for over 25 years. Beautiful food and service. And the view....amazing. Some log fires too. Well worth a visit.

Nice environment a member of staff lied and on purposely didn't bring childs pudding which was ordered for an adult, but instead brought an adults pudding and tried to place dum dum, the foid was nice atmosphere was lovely but that 1 member of staff is bad in a place like that. Birthday meal left sore.

4th time eating here..it is always nicely busy ... lamb roast was lovely so a few more roast potatoes would be appreciated...staff are attentive and coffee is great. Priced fairly. there will be a 5th visit!

Excellent again, perfect for a lunchtime business meeting. The lite bite and sandwich menus are ideal and when combined with the superb service it is difficult to beat.

If you enjoy good food and beer then find a way to visit this pub, it is incredible. All the character of an old pub with real wood fires and cozy little corners, along with a fantastic chef and brilliantly kept beer. I am already planning to return on my next visit to Wales. We did return and it was just as good second time!

Food was fine, service was poor. Unless you sit at the bar they do not care and you will get ignored. Waited 15 minutes to place an order whilst waitress stood and chatted with someone at the bar.

Walking in, the pub is quirky, warm and had a real buzz about it. Plates of incredible food were coming out of the kitchen and the place was busy for a Wednesday night. The menu looked great and I had loads to choose from in terms of gluten free. The service was spot on, not too much and there if needed. Speed of food arriving was also great. I enjoyed a game faggot and the best fish and chips I have had in a long time! So glad we found this pub on our brief trip to North Wales.

Classic place always love it here

This has to be the best Sunday Lunch I've had out. Everything was perfect. Yes you could say the prices are expensive but it was worth every penny. The quality of the food and more importantly the gravy were excellent. The portion sizes were generous and the service from all staff was efficient and friendly. All in all an excellent meal in comfortable surroundings.

It's such a beautiful venue, so clean and welcoming, plenty of parking etc. The food menu is somewhat on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for, which is generous portions and excellent quality. The vegan main I chose was the mushroom bourguignon with all the veg, and it was just gorgeous, one of the best vegan meals I've ever had, can't stop thinking about it! The service is 10/10, all the staff are so friendly and helpful (and kind to my dog, bringing him biscuits and water straight away). We really had the most wonderful experience here today, thank you to the team.

I had vouchers for Christmas for this establishment which we had never heard of before even though we have lived in Rhyl for 18 years. Decided to use them today for Sunday lunch and so glad we did! Everything was perfect from the minute we walked in. The decor was tasteful and classy and the air smelt of wood Smoke! The welcome was warm and friendly and the service was very efficient. My husbands allergy was catered for very well .( I'm an allergen champion at work and we very impressed how they handled it) Food was spot on certainly no complaints whatsoever from us!! We will definitely be recommending and will be back in the very near future!!

Lovely place. A Very posh feeling to it. If I had the money I'd hire the upstairs outside area out for like a summer family get together. Good parking. The staff were pleasant but did make errors. The food looked good . The atmosphere was relaxed and warm. Perhaps when I got a few more penny's I'll treat myself to this place properly.

Brilliant food great staff 5 star

Nice clean place, very busy when we called in and were informed our table was booked for food in just over an hour so be prepared to vacate as we were only drinking.

Fantastic location, lovely building and waiting staff. Seats coukd do with sorting, uncomfortable as padding went years ago, tried a couple. The menu was uninspiring, a lot of vegetable options and stuff being over engineered ie salmon and dill starter but it was beetroot soaked salmon. Mains the ssme, no normal meat pie , or homecooked ham, everything was massive meals, as a party we were struggling specifically if you had an allergy. I ended up with a light bite meal, fishcake and poached egg, egg was cooked well but the fish cake had very little inner material snd the outside was overcooked. No options for smaller meals in fish and chips. So it is a shame that the food is letting down this lovely establishment. Get the food menu and cooking improved and you will get a 5 star from me

Christmas Dinner @ Dinorben Arms, Bodfari My husband and I, together with a couple of friends, went to the Dinorben for our Christmas meal on 22nd December. However, we were very disappointed. The sprouts and carrots were undercooked, whilst the cabbage was stringy, The turkey and the stuffing were tasteless. Whereas in the Christmas Pudding the dried fruit such as the currants were chewy as if uncooked. There was not enough brandy sauce but when requested the staff did bring more. The serivce was not a problem. However, the food was very unsatisfactory. My husband and I did not eat the meal, whilst one of our friends selected the steak which he ate, but did comment it was small for the price. Not a great success and will not be recommending the Dinorben to anyone.

Great destination pub. Food is is standard pub grub which I love but I have seen it done better. Nice enough place to have a meal after a walk.

Ate here on New Year's Eve with friends who live in the area. Everything was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the staff who were friendly & efficient - a credit to the Dinorben.

Very nice place, not obvious what the procedure was for ordering food. . But everything else was very good.

We called in for a late lunch/early dinner on our way back from Christmas shopping. At mid-afternoon, the restaurant was quiet; the service was excellent and my roast turkey with traditional accompaniments was one of the best that I have experienced (in this type of restaurant). At £21.95, the portions were large and the taste was commendable.

My family and I went for Christmas Eve, food was fantastic, we had the beef. Everything about our visit was just right. We have already decided to go again next Christmas Eve. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. I certainly recommend

Absolutely Beautiful place, exspensive but you get what you pay for , well worth it, majority of the staff so attentive, apart from one on one occasion so rude, but hey ho, must of been a bad day fir him!!! Quality place, Absolutely love it .

Not to usual 4* standard. £10 overcharge on bill left bad taste in mouth. We all make mistakes but a gracious apology when overcharge pointed out would have prevented problem souring the experience.

An absolute gem of a pub with delicious food, a warm cosy atmosphere and fantastic staff. We walked in and they were very busy for a Thursday lunch but managed to get us a table. The gentleman who sat us was really lovely and accommodating. All the staff smile as they walk by and you can’t help but smiling too. Our waiter Zach was probably one me of the most lovely waiters I have had the pleasure of being served by. The food was delicious and the views are beautiful. Thanks you for a lovely visit with warm and welcoming hospitality 😊

The Dinorben Arms holds many memories as a place I often visited as a child with my parents, so I was pleased when it was refurbished a few years ago after it fell into disrepair. This was my first visit since the refurbishment. The Dinorben Arms provides a very warm and pleasant atmosphere with a traditional country pub feel, complete with open fire. The service was friendly, polite and efficient with all our meals arriving in reasonable time. We had the fixed Festive menu which provided adequate choice. The food was good. A beautifully prepared Tortellini for starters followed by Sirloin Steak and a scrumptious Chocolate T rifle. I was a little vexed at having to provide my card details as surety when booking, but that's just a sign of the times!. Overall a very enjoyable visit.

Absolutely my favourite pub near me!The food and drinks are fantastic with super service with very positive people however my favourite part has to be the view its stunning natural and scenic that's why I love sitting on the terrace with an ice cold drink and you should too 🍺

Lovely warm, comfortable pub, in a beautiful location, this was our first visit here, but we will definitely be returning. The food we had was excellent, and the service was great, and we had a lovely beer!

Table booked for 2:30. Two beef dinners, one turkey, and two sides of pigs in blankets. Food was very well presented with a generous portion of meat. It was very much enjoyed by us all. The Yorshire Puddings were amazing...... Highly recommended.

My fiancé and I stopped in whilst staying a few days in St. Asaph for our pre-moon, and we were not disappointed! For starters, we had the Buffalo chicken wings (amazing, and the blue cheese dip was INSANELY good!) and pigs in a blanket. For mains, I had the cheese, onion, and potato pie, and my fiancé had the feather of beef. Everything was out of this world, (omg the gravy!), and the service was impeccable. The best meal we’ve both had out in a VERY long time, and a great beer selection! . Thanks to our hosts Ali and Anna for the recommendation!

What a disappointment. Went for a 50th birthday party of 6. Afraid the meals we had were of a kebab shop standard at restaurant prices. My meal burger and chips was literally the burger and some cheap chips. No salad, no coleslaw, no sauces and half an empty plate, we all left feeling ripped off. I feel harsh comparing the Dinorben's food to a kebab shop because you actually get salad in a kebab shop! Great shame that profits have overtaken quality and pride. A slapdash meal served at the expense of reputation. We did complain to the restaurant a couple of months ago via their feedback system but they were too arrogant to grace us with a reply. After 40 years of visiting the Dinorben Arms and enjoying the original carvery. We won't be back again. Not worth the risk!

Not new to the Dinorben I am local and been visiting the premises for the past sixty years. Visited with a group of friends (7) on Saturday night Everything of high standard staff polite cheerful and helpful. The premises speak flor themselves untouchable. Prices proportionate However i really do not expect to check that you haven.t put something on the bill that has not been supplied. The ordering included one cafetiere. It did not arrive and that is your choice whether you deliver what has been ordered. It is my responsibility to pay the bill and certainly not my job to check that you hzave prepared the bill properly. The coffee did not arrive and i did not complain. However as I was leaving I glanced at the bill and saw that £3.45 had been included for the drink that did not arrive. Please don't have the audacity to say i should have checked because if that is your answer I will say please have notices displayed that say we may slip you a trick in your bill and if you dont notice it, we will blame you for trusting us. Be great to be back soon

i've been going to the Dinorben since i was a child, I took my wife there on our first date just love the building, I love the food here huge portions and very tasty and a good range to choose from, the service is very good and friendly and always willing to help, my only bug is the noise it can get very noisy and loud just throw a few rugs about and dampen the sound.

Top quality pub. The beef Sunday roast was fantastic, as was the the pork roast. Big portions but also good quality. The staff are really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. AND dog friendly so I would give it 6 stars if I could.

What a great pub! Came here for a roast on the off chance we could get a seat. It’s big inside and plenty of tables so needn’t have worried. The best thing is that it’s dog friendly so we loved it even more. The pork roast was amazing, super tasty red cabbage and lots of veg. Everything was made with care and you can really taste the quality. Service was great and couldn’t fault anything. Highly recommend

This is a beautiful restaurant/pub. Large indoor area, The food is always fantastic, a lot of choice. They had a pie week at the same time as running the usual menu. My friends and I tried ham hock and apple tartlet, beetroot and whipped feta salad, crispy chilli beef salad, steak pie with seasonal veg, Goan vegetable curry with rice, the ham,chicken white wine with mustard mash and seasonal veg. We managed to have the coffee and a small dessert option, sticky toffee pudding and hot chocolate brownie. All absolutely delicious. On arrival whilst waiting for a table and after you can retire and relax by the log fire on leave her armchairs. I first found out about the Dinorben Arms when visiting Wales last year and I was very pleased to come back. It is busy in the evening, but you don't have to wait long for your table. Excellent will return

Not impressed. Overpriced menu. I was meeting an old friend. Didn't like to complain . Tried to seat us on a table of two outside the kitchen until I asked for another table. Ended up in the snug even though there were lots of tables in the main restaurant.

Quite an unusual venue, it has the most beautiful views. Food is delicious and the staff so polite and helpful.

The staff were all so lovely and accommodating. The atmosphere especially the fire place looked so beautiful and The bathroom was absolutely stunning. The food was decent, Chicken and steak burger could of had more flavour. BUT the Chocolate Brownie was the best brownie I’ve ever had, literally melted in my mouth.

I love coming here as we can bring the dog. We have a caravan not too far away from this pub. The food is always great, I do wish the menu would change slightly, but I understand the cost of food has gone up too much to do that. The service is always great, amazing views all round.
