The Diner in Maldon

It was an amazing experience I’ve been to many cafes before and it’s was the best of the best the service was amazing the food was and just everything about it was good and the food turned up within minutes of ordering the food great place I definitely recommend 👍

Wandered in for lunch. Very quiet (only three other tables eating). Completely ignored by waitress. She was serving another table so we waited for her to finish. When she finally appeared from the kitchen we assumed she would come and take our order, but she started clearing another table! We left.

A lovely family who own the Diner. They also have the number 1 chef. A lovely place to eat.

Great food, very helpful owner. Had a fantastic dinner with the three of us at a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend this place!

My husband and I came today 17th June and the food was fantastic .Great service .Staff very friendly and catered for all our needs .The coffee was best I've tasted .Large portions and not overpriced. We will be going again 100% when we return to our holiday home . Toilets kept very clean . Liz n Andy

My daughter and I had a lovely cooked breakfast and iced caramel coffee. The food and service were excellent.

Good price for the quality and quantity of food. Chicken kebab and strawberry milkshake is our favourite combo.

I go with friends mostly once a week

Great breakfast good service worth a visit

As usual had a lovely breakfast this is now our go to place. Raining outside the lovely man serving offered us a free cup of tea so we could wait inside while the rain stopped wouldn't get that in many places.100% recommend the Diner x Thank you such a lovely gesture.

This little place is sparkling clean, and the service was super friendly. They do the old "bender" hotdogs, crispy fries, perfect fried eggs. I enjoyed the retro music too. Enthusiastically recommended.

Had lunch here for the 1st time today, and I will be coming back next time I'm in Maldon. The staff are helpful, friendly, and polite. The food was very good. Had a good choice of food, for all dietary requirements. The milkshakes looked amazing.

Absolutely love this place and always, without fail, we go in for food and drink whenever we are in Maldon as we were today ! The food is amazingly good and cooked to perfection , the owners, chef and employees are all very polite, courteous and we are always greeted with a smile . Lovely atmosphere, and a really lovely run business Please give them a try and your support as it really is a great place to go and eat

Fantastic burger, friendly staff. Great place for adults and kid's looking to fill up on great quality fast food that certainly won't break the bank. I'm very impressed and would highly recommend a visit.

Excellent food and service, very courteous staff

Had a really delicious lunch!! The menu had so much choice and it was amazing value for money. I had the best wrap of my life with an incredible Ferrero Rocher Milkshake. Definitely recommend a visit and I will be going back again soon.

We've been coming to Wimpy for years but especially with the arrival of our daughter about 5 years ago. The name of the restaurant has changed, but happily alot of the food seems similar and best of all the original owners are still here. Positive changes to the restaurant include the new seating arrangements and more pleasing decor. As always the toilets are well kept and clear and the manners of the staff are second to none. Would recommend to a family or a couple. They also provide takeaway services.

I’m giving 3 stars purely on the basis of your Saturday girl. I appreciate she’s young, but when dealing with the public, a smile would be nice. There was no interaction from her at all. If it wasn’t for her I would’ve given 4 stars as the food was nice and quite good value.

Lovely staff and excellent choice of food best food in maldon

We were very sad when we heard that the wimpy was closing, but pleased when we found out that it had reopened with the same lovely owners and very similar food with the return of the Knickerbocker glory (much to the joy of my kids,) and now including salads!

As a long running Wimpy fan, I was nervous coming back here now it no longer operates under that franchise. All I can say is who needs Winpy!!! Amazing burgers and with the same people running it you can’t go wrong!!
