The food was delicious, great atmosphere, lovely cocktails, staff friendly and helpful, great service. Would defo recommend.

We had a great night out with family who we have seen for some time.

Brilliant! Best place to eat in Maldon. Great friendly staff with next to no waiting time and when the food arrives it’s superb. I highly recommend the ‘Cafe Brazil Picanha’.

Very friendly staff food amazing

Really delicious food and something a bit different to the usual high street offerings. Salt cod fishcakes, one pot pork stew and a cashew drink - all delicious. Friendly, welcoming staff. Fantastic!

My wife and I have dined in Cafe Brazil quite a few times now, and are always greeted and treated wonderfully ... the menu is very varied with a tremendous mix of fabulous and different tastes and delights ... the meals are always of a very good quality with all staff very friendly and attentive ... probably my wife and i's favourite restaurant in Maldon ... many thanks to you all at Cafe Brazil ...

Absolutely amazing! First time trying Brazilian food and I was not disappointed! Lots of different flavours and choices etc! Staff where lovely and it was a really nice atmosphere, I will be bringing my little one there with me soon to also give it a try 👍

Absolutely love this place. Been here a few times and always receive friendly and helpful service, delicious food and drink, and a wonderful ambience, regardless whether it's lunch or evening. Recently went for Mother's Day and it was so delightful, especially with a glass of prosecco on the house for the mums! and a wonderful singer @joannapowermusic Highly recommend Cafe Brazil!

A slightly hidden gem at the top of the high street. Do go visit - you will not be disappointed. The couple who run it are super friendly, the food is wonderful and the ambience is great. Your perfect evening out! Enjoy!

Found this via trip advisor. It lives up to the excellent reviews. We share 3 Tapas style starters. They brought one that was incorrect but left it without charge and brought the correct one. These were very tasty. I had the beef steak (Pachena) it was delicious. It came with fries, rice and a side of beef stew too. My wife had similar but pork and it was equally tasty. Excellent service and food was quick. Really nice vibe in the restaurant. Definitely will return soon.

We went to the Cafe Brazil for dinner, fancied something different from the endless list of chain restaurants. What an absolute gem of a find. A family run business, impeccable service, the food was simply amazing, real authentic home cooked Brazilian food. Once you walk through the door you could easily be in a cafe in Brazil. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening and a really good conversation around our travels.

This restaurant is a gem - lucky Maldon! We enjoyed every mouthful - our salt cod croquettes and salad with palm hearts were fresh and delicious, the Xinxim (a light, fresh and mild curry) and feijoada (a hearty, meaty stew) were rich, filling and so tasty! Portions are generous and service warm and friendly. Can’t wait to go again

Went midweek the occasion was our Christmas present to each other and it turned out lovely from start to finish. The food and service could not fault it. The portion was just right for us, and it was very tasty.

We stumbled upon this Brazilian tapas bar, which turned out to be a real gem! The vibes were spot on - lively and welcoming. The service? Top-notch – the staff made us feel like old friends. Every tapas dish felt like a mini-trip to Brazil. The portions are perfect for sharing, and the prices won't break the bank.

It’s taken an hour and a half to get a starter, absolutely terrible service, food is decent but I’d have rather gotten a McDonald’s than wait this long. Not to mention a pint is £7, just ridiculous tbh. I’d avoid.

we visited with family. the restaurant was super helpful in explaining food options. there was something for all dietary requirements we had. food came timely, beautifully presented, fresh and very tasty! the range and variety is great, all the food had something unique about it which made the meal all the more interesting to share across us all. good value for money and highly recommended to visit! also to say - a lovely atmosphere, welcoming, professional and just right service from the team, great for having a conversation while you eat, lovely colourful vibe, interesting to look at decor, cared for and super clean. could not fault Cafe Brazil :)

Fantastic place which I visit every time I go Maldon. Great food, good prices and great staff. The food is fabulous, recommend the Picanha Steak, good size portion that comes with chips, delicious meat/salad hotpot, rice, salsa and an amazing powder sprinkle, truly brilliant 👏

The entrance deceives, as the restaurant is huge. They make amazing food and have authentic drinks. Açaí is a healthy berry and they have the popular guarana can as well as in blended juices. There are plenty of different areas, the one near the garden is ideal for parties, at the entrance better for couples and families. I can recommend the moqueca de peixe, a tropical type of fish stew with a lovely coconut sauce and served in arty plates. With farofa, dried inhame/Manoca. The desserts looked amazing, will come back and try another day. The price seemed very fair.

Fantastic restaurant. The staff and food are amazing (eat in or take away). Been there many times as a couple and as a larger family group. Never had an issues regardless of party size. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Maldon and definitely our favourite take away/delivery.

Absolutely amazing food, very friendly owners and chef. We even got some authentic Brazilian bread specially from the chef. Cannot fault this beautiful little gem.

For a set lunch menu it still works out fairly expensive (getting on for £70 for 2 once the service charge is added - and we only had soft drinks). Must say I was more than happy with the food though. Main was a traditional Brazilian dish which was thin steak with rice and a variety of small sides.

We had a pair of Picanha steaks and Caipinnas cocktails. Be hungry as the portions are large (and the food tasty).

Stumbled on this place at the top of town. Doesn't look much from the outside (could easily be missed) but lovely inside and well worth the visit. Really authentic, tasty Brazilian food. Would have scored more on atmosphere but only us in.

Went there for the first time. Bright and lively atmosphere. Clean. Attentive Staff. The tapas was nice. The seafood curry and slow cooked pork with black beans was very tasty. Will definitely go there again..

Visited on a mid week lunchtime and our food and the friendly service was very good. Other than our table of six, there was only one other table of three, so although there was some pleasant music playing, the venue lacked atmosphere during our visit, but I'm sure when busier, the place could be buzzing. We will certainly visit again.

Absolutely fantastic. My husband and I ate here tonight for our anniversary and it was lovely. I was a little worried about it being a bit too spicy as I am no good at all with spice, but the dishes that I ordered were fine. We ordered the 5 tapas dishes and shared 3 desserts between us and all of it was delicious. The inside was decorated in a way that really makes you feel like you are somewhere tropical and the staff were very friendly and service was great. We are definitely going to come again!

Nice place, stopped for a coffee, wife had a nice piece of GF carrot cake and I had the meat balls both really nice and will call back one evening. Staff friendly and polite. Not overly expensive either. Great sitting area on the patio out back. Since our first visit we have returned numerous times for food or just popped in for a coffee. Great place run by a nice family. Highly recommended, if only for a coffee.

I usually have this delivered, however this Saturday I suggested to my close friend to eat at Cafe Brazil as the food is delicious! Plus the cocktails were beyond refreshing! The waiting staff are really polite and attentive. The decor is really lovely and my friend commented that it was like being on holiday. So I would totally recommend this place.

We opted for the five tapas dishes for £30, plus two additional sides. It was a feast .. the portion sizes were generous and we struggled to eat it all; this meal could have easily fed four. All dishes were very tasty, the staff at the native and polite. Worth going to indulge.

First time to visit the Tapas Cafe and we were made very welcome by the hosts , we sat outside in the sunshine and ate some beautiful tapas and had a drink , afterwards they showed us around and couldn’t believe how much room they have. Will definitely be returning very soon

We tried this restaurant for the first time on the day of the London bike race! Wow, we are so pleased that we did!! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful! We had 3 Tapas to share and a main each and our 9 year old had the child's menu but ended up eating half of our tapas too! We will be back with our older children very soon! Thank you so much for such a lovely, relaxing afternoon!

What a find! We dined here both evenings of our weekend stay in Maldon. It was so good on the first night that we immediately booked again. Fantastic food at reasonable prices. Great service and fabulous atmosphere. One of the nicest restaurants I have ever been in. Highly recommended
