Great curry dishes Garlic Nan didn't taste of any garlic it was the only disappointment

nothing in this tasted fresh. no fresh herbs, main was just oil and onion. potatoes tasted old. naan was microwave in a bag chewy. i used to order from brockley spice fusion and was looking for a replacement after they closed. this aint it . £24 for food u dont enjoy in todays climate is unrepeatable

After a problem with delivery and intial confusion, the restaurant successfully resolved the issue and delivered within an agreed revised timetable. The Food was good

Food was great & on time but they forgot the dhal!

Was fine. Not the worst but not the best. It’s also on the more expensive side and doesn’t come with free poppadoms and dips

We order a lot from here, but today it tasted of vinegar and smelt like cleaning fluid. We had to throw the meal away. Hopefully this was a one off disappointing meal, as usually it's nice. The service and delivery time was good as usual

I ordered at 10pm Saturday night and got THE WORSE meal EVER. The 'lamb bhuna' only had 3/4 tiny pieces of lamb and was swimming in an oil and onion sauce. The chicken biryani also barely had any chicken it in. The only edible item was the keema naan. I've been a loyal customer for the past 4 years and if the kitchen had run out of food would have preferred for you not to accept my order. The fact I got a sorry looking peas, green beans and carrot (all from frozen veg) curry which I didn't order confirms you guys knew what you were sending out to me was diabolocal.

Horrible butter chicken defo the worst I’ve had! Shared some with my sister and even she said the same thing.

Sauce was burnt for Dansak and Naan bread was under done.

Flavours are always good but little disappointed this time as the chicken tasted over cooked and the aloo/potatoes needed longer.

Despite the written instruction to call on delivery there was no phone call. The delivery person knocked on the door, as soon as I heard I came down to collect. He very aggressively complained that I had taken too long to answer and said “didn’t you hear?” I replied that I had not heard and he walked off saying “too long”. This is the rudest delivery I have ever experienced

Not sure if this restaurant has changed hands? Food was still nice but not as good as it used to be.

Great food but took 2 1/2 hours to arrive. First courier left without even trying the door or to contact me and order had to be completely remade. Food arrived at 10:15 after 7:45 order. Shan’t be going back

Delicious food. Perfectly cooked paratha. We enjoyed it all very much. The restaurant staff were very helpful when i called. Will definitely order from here again.

Waited very long time for food, arrived very cold. Part of order was missing. Curry lacked flavour.

Food was due between 7:45-8, at 8 it said that the food was delivered but it wasn’t so I called the restaurant 6 times with no answer they all went to voicemail. I was placing another order with another restaurant and a notification came up that it was then due another hour later so we waited. From ordering time to delivery was a couple of hours and the food wasn’t very hot I think it was potentially forgotten about. Wouldn’t order again sorry

Naan breads cold and hard, restaurant needed extra time to deliver

Took a bit longer to come than normal but the food was perfect as always.

Delivery driver was lost and called to say he had turned up at a wrong address that was in Peckham!!

Food was over an hour late and it arrived room temperature. Normally it’s great quality and early but this time it was really disappointing, food was not up to the normal standard, naan slightly burnt, onion bhajis incredibly oily, tandoori chicken pale with no charr. I haven’t ordered in a few months and apparently the owners have changed. Looks like I need to find a new curry place.

The prawns were inedible. The bread was hard in places , the mushrooms were tastless

The lamb from here is just excellent along with everything else they serve. My 'go to' Indian for years now.

We ordered a biryani and it was dry and tasteless. looked like someone had just mixed boneless chicken with some rice! That's not a biryani Dear restaurant please do this to make the biryani 1. Marinate the meat on the bone with ginger garlic paste. Chillies. Mint. Lime juice. Fried onions And masala for around 8-10 hours 2. Cool rice to 70 % and then layer meat and rice (season the water first) 3. Pour good amount of ghee rose water and kewra water and cover generously with fried onions 4 seal the pot with dough and cook for a good 40-45 min. THATS HOW YOU COOK A BIRYANI!!!!

The food was delicious I’ve not enjoyed a take away like that for ages food was high quality lots of meat it was delivered nice and hot by a lovely delivery man I highly reccomend I will be using again as well thank you

FOR £37 + I EXPECTED A LOT BETTER FROM DEWANIAN,THEY GOT THE ORDER WRONG THE FOOD WAS WATERY AND RUNNY THE BHUNA WAS HOTTER THAN NORMAL AND THE NANN WAS SWEET HARDLY ANY PRAWNS IN MY WIFES KORMA AND WHEN I CAN GET 2 LARGE COD AND CHIPS FOR UNDER £20 ITS NO CONTEST !

Cold food due to be being late and not coming to the correct address

Perfect as usual. Cant beat this restaurant for a great Indian takeaway.

Food was lovely. We had chicken tikka korma, lamb tikka dhansak,keema rice, garlic and peshwari naan and chicken samosas. Portions weren't overly generous but the quality couldn't be faulted.

Food was really good! Our flat is really hard to find and not accessible to cars, delivery driver from the restaurant was so lovely and went out of him way to deliver. 10/10 would recommend.

Beautiful lovely delivery driver dropped off a meat thali which was simply divine heaven. Hot soft naan, beautifully spiced lamb & gorgeous tikka & masala. Highly recommend awesome restaurant. Thank you for making a great night dine in! Mwah x

A very friendly delivery person!

Normally we love dewanium but every dish was outrageously hot this week, we got our normal order and it was ridiculous

For as far as I can remember e used to use this restaurant all the time. Since the restaurant has moved and due to be being lazy. We had forgotten about this restaurant. Ordered from a few other Indian restaurants in the area. NONE can match the taste. I swear I will NEVER use anyone else. This restaurant cannot be beaten.

Over 1.5 hours late and the food had leaked everywhere inside the bag. Good food as usual but won't be ordering from here again.

For the second time our order was late and incomplete

It hasnt turned up. The number provided goes to voicemail. Youve accepted an order to a restaurant that isnt open.

Korma was a bit sugary, other than that everything was great.

This used to be the best Indian vegan food in London. Such a shame that new management have decided to remove the menus completely. Please let me know where the old management have gone so I can eat there.

Great flavours, and good vegan range of favourite dishes

Really delicious food however 2 of the dishes we received were wrong

Have ordered before and there's such a range of food, I wanted to invite a group over for a big curry night and it was great! Everyone loved it. Better labels would be good so we know what is what more, and 4 small bhajis rather than 2 big would be best, but otherwise all good!

And when I didn't see something on the menu I asked for it and they brought it along with my meal. Been ordering from here for as long as I can remember and they've never let me down. Amazing!

Neither of our curries (korma and vindaloo) were very nice. One too sweet, the other extremely spicy but not very tasty.

This is the only restaurant I order from since going vegan. The choice is brilliant and so is the food. The vegan Aloo Tikki are delicious and so is the vegan Chilli Aloo. I'm slowly working my way through everything else - it's such a joy to have all this choice. The service is excellent too, almost always deliver early and the other week when we placed a larger order for 8 people they gave us vegan desserts too. I hadn't bothered with the desserts before, but every one of them was delicious. I absolutely love this place - if it was a sit-in restaurant I'd be there all the time.

Super Fast Delivery and the food was the best

I was looking forward to this as a treat to myself. However, I was beyond disappointed. I ordered the vegetable thali along with two vegan samosas. First thing I noticed was that the containers were dripping in oil. The onion bajis were also full of oil and so were the samosas. Every single thing was a disappointment apart from the vege rice and the saag paneer which was surprisingly good. The dishes were not spicy at all, Indian food is meant to be spicy? Not a single spec of spiciness to be found. Baby food is more spicier than what I ordered. Do not bother ordering the vegan samosas. They were the shop bought kind, and not even the good ones! They were dripping in oil and tasted terrible. The onion bajis along with dripping with oil and tasting like oil, were slightly sweet? Which to me is unusual, they should not be sweet. The mint chutney was also sweet. Again, it should not be sweet. Maybe rename it to sweet mint chutney to avoid misleading people. Overall lacking flavour, lacking chilliness, full of oil. Do not recommend. Very very disappointed.

Absolutely love this place. My girlfriend lives in the UK and I order from here for her at least once a week, and from what I'm told the food is always top notch and the staff are always so kind and friendly. They even asked to check how she was doing when we weren't able to put in an order for a couple weeks and she hadn't been around. Superb restaurant!

Everything was sweet in meat thali. Very disappointed. I don't understand why chicken tikka masala was so sweet that it was just not possible to eat it. There were no pulao rice they were just plain rice with zera.

Must be a new chief as food has changed to not be as good as before unfortunately.

Disappointed today and never usually unhappy, I order regularly, but my paneer today was tough and cold and I was missing an item.

2 mini samosas, super greasy burnt Onion Bhaji, very small naan, and overly hot Vegan Madras. Not happy with the order, will be binning the OB and Madras sauce. I have had orders from here before and have never been so disappointed.

Always delicious! Tried some new stuff this time, not sure I’d order some of the items again but that’s just personal preference, it was all cooked incredibly well and was super flavourful. Can’t wait to order again, soon I’ll have tried every vegan option on the menu!!

Quite disappointed and surprised really because has good reviews but the food was very mediocre... The chicken in the Butter chicken was shaslik dropped into butter sauce and the saag aloo potatoes than spinach :(

Nan was chewy, tandorie King prawn was over cooked & over seasoned, onion bargi was under cooked, lamb madras was tough, not good food really.....

Didn’t have all my order but they called beforehand offered an alternative. I politely declined. Appreciate them letting me know. Great Service. Otherwise everything else was also great, Hot and tasty and on time!

As always, totally delicious! The best place to get vegan Indian food I’ve ever come across.

I was really happy with my usual staple order, and there looks to be some interesting dishes to try when ordering again. The chicken tikka masala was particularly nice, and I liked the option to include vegetables (should be as standard though). I don’t really like peas in curries though, and don’t like sweetcorn in samosas.

Brilliant and friendly service (had to give them a call to check something) and most importantly… outrageously delicious food! Will 100% be ordering again!

Unfortunate. It may have been a busy Saturday, but the food was very disappointing. The bhuna sauce either had a different recipe or was completely off. The chicken was rubbery. The onion bhajis were spongy and bordered on inedible. The poppadoms were stale. The butter chicken sauce had almost congealed under the tray lid. The peices of lamb tikka were just warm and clearly cooked separately to the sauce. A shame.

Still has to be the best Indian takeaway on just eat in this area. Always great food and arrives on time.

Excellent customer service from the restaurant

We’ve ordered from The Dewaniam many times and every time it’s exceptional. The range of dishes keeps extending - particularly for vegan/plant based options- and we can’t rate this highly enough. Fresh, flavoursome and very delicious with very generous portions.

Ordered loads of different vegan food. Best Indian vegan food I’ve had. Especially the vegan masala! Staff were very friendly when I collected too. Will be back!

IMHO absolutely amazing. Fantastic quality. Amazing tarka dhal, tender juicy lamb tiikka. Rarely used to choose Indian food, this place makes me want to eat it nightly.

We just moved to the area and had to give up our “go to” delivery option due to being out of range. Really happy that we found somewhere as good if not better almost immediately. Excellent on both times we’ve ordered, will almost certainly be back.

Best Indian we’ve had for a long time

We were forced to try a new Indian as our normal go too wasn’t taking orders. After reading the reviews took a chance and absolutely loved it! Even the kids (notoriously hard to please) loved the Dahl and sag paneer! Was so tasty! Will definitely be repeat customers!

I love this place! Having recently turned vegan I figured my days of home delivery were largely numbered, but The Dewaniam has such an extensive vegan menu I can order from here every time and not have to have the same dishes over and over. Personally I'm less keen on some of the meat substitutes, but am happy to carry on trying them all and really appreciate having the choice to try so many - I love the Quorn dishes and those that are all veg. Really friendly drivers, quick delivery, hot, tasty food. Brilliant. (The vegetarians and carnivores I've ordered with report loving their meals just as much.)
