Fantastic wee cafe with the most welcoming and friendly owner! Had a lovely breakfast roll with a coffee, my son had some pancakes with butter & jam and a hot chocolate! Two very happy stomachs afterwards, that's for sure! Such a bright, clean and airy space with fantastic views over the bay (just across the street).

Visited with my daughter, brother and niece. We all had soup and a toastie with tea and a couple of traybakes. The owner was brilliant with us and made us very welcome. The service was Swift and the food was magic (especially his wife’s Coleslaw) which he asked us to review. Will be the only place to go for lunch on Cumbrae from now on. Very reasonably priced as well. Thanks again and wishing you continued success.

OMG amazing little cafe We went first for lunch with the dogs (small dogs) and had a great food experience. We were so impressed that we returned in our last day in Millport for a breakfast. Six humans and 2 dogs . Felt so welcome and the breakfast was as good as lunch experience. Any scone lovers have to try the homemade baking. The owners wife bakes them fresh every morning. So good we took home baked goods home with us. This place is the only one that does breakfast on Millport and booking is a must to avoid disappointment. Love it and will return on my next visit to Millport.

We read about this cafe online and it really does deserve 5 stars! One member of our party was vegan and the owner offered all sorts of options and ways he could alter the other dishes to make them vegan if they weren't already! He was just the nicest most accommodating guy, from getting our group a good seat to recommendations for good places to go back in Largs. The scones were so good 10/10 and yeah just a lovely wee cafe with nice things to eat and a super friendly staff!

Aday on Millport island is relaxing to say the least. From the moment we walked off the ferry and on to the coach,we were aware of the leisurely atmosphere. We left the bus in Millport outside the Pier Hotel and walked the two mile promenade eventually stopping at the above cafe for a drink. We sat outside and waited for our drinks.Out came the owner with not only the drinks, but a general description of the history and the attractions on the island. The drinks were well priced, and well presented.

On reflection, it is rather humorous that the owner stood about 30cm away from my husband, unmasked and talking directly into his face, to tell him very firmly and a teensy bit aggressively that we had to wear masks to walk the few inches between the door and our table. It’s a small place. The table was virtually outside. When we laughed about this nonsense (he wasn’t wearing a mask himself), he proceeded to give us a little lecture about turning up without a face mask. He carried on as we walked away, calling after us about our terrible behaviour. (!?)I got an anti-English vibe. Don’t turn up without a face mask, or maybe better still find somewhere else. We did, and it was great. Yum yum.

Table booked on 24/12/2019 for 9 people to have lunch on 5th Jan 2019. We were told when ordering our drinks that they had only one can of diet coke!! Bad start. One hour after our arrival no food had been brought to the table. Eventually starters were served. Food average. When we asked for salad cream for a salad it was to be told that they didn't have any! I ordered fish and chips and was told they didn't have any fish ' only scampi. Attitude to customers was take it or leave it! I felt they had let us down and Dalry down. We will not go back there again.

For a start, I don’t understand why a commercial building built in the late 90’s doesn’t have a lift given my guess of the average age of their clientele. We went for tea and a scone with my mum who is recovering from getting a new knee. We were told that we could have a table in the foyer cos the restaurant wasn’t accessible. They then changed their mind and told us that we couldn’t order a tea and a scone because there was already 6 people in their restaurant and it would be at least 30 minutes before they could put in a new order. There were 4 people in the empty shop, two in the foyer and presumably numerous staff in the cafe. Between them they couldn’t get us a tea and a scone. We won’t be back.

Great food and fantastic friendly service in an idyllic location. My brother and I, had the Bagel Stack for a breakfast, great start to a holiday in Largs.
