We have eaten here many time and have never been disappointed. The owner of this little gem are fabulous hosts. The atmosphere the service the food are all excellent, would recommend. Book if you can as its very popular. I can't say enough about the hosts they are heads and shoulders above everyone else. We will be back very soon.

This is really more like a little bistro, The food is always top quality. It's dog friendly It has a toilet .(a Millport luxury) The staff are extremely pleasant. It has an alcohol licence with a wide variety of drinks. If its just coffee and a scone you'd like they can cater for that aswell. 10/10...

What a lovely atmosphere and welcome and then the food wow we had calamari starters and fish cake main the sharing platter looked a revaluation and our eyes were drawn to the desserts served looked fab flying visit for us this time thanks to the staff kitchen and front of house you have a fabulous foodie experience THANKS

A well placed cafe for parking and views with some outside seating. Good opening hours and reasonable prices. The coffee was good and the food came in good portions and was somewhat artistically presented. Friendly, popular and although small it has a fair amount of seating.

Visited last night with friends. We are staying in a holiday flat very close by for the weekend. This wee place has a lovely vibe. Individual booths decorated with chic lighting and fresh flowers on table. Weather was appalling but in good weather the windows all open wide and there is outside sunny seating facing the face. Two of us ordered sea bass and I had baked cod. The huge piece of meaty cod came with prawns, mussels, veg and a divine white wine sauce. It was the most tasty thing I’ve eaten in a long time. Waiting staff were lovely. Family-owned I feel. When we complimented the food our young waitress said that her chef was her sister! I’d highly recommend a visit.

Very nice, booked earlier in the day, our table was ready when we arrived. Starters: spicy king prawns, panko calamari, mains: Thai fish cakes, spaghetti alla pescatora, duffs: apple creme brulee and a cheese boards. Lovely food, my spaghetti and cheeseboard were outstanding, very attentive and friendly staff and we felt that everything was just delicious. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Husband and I visited for dinner on an overnight to Millport. We had calamari(delicious, crunchy and fresh), spicy prawns in a crisp coating, seafood spaghetti which was so good my husband asked for bread to soak up the lovely sauce and thai fishcakes. The fishcakes could have had a bit more spice but portions were great and all very tasty. We finished with an apple based creme brulee and cheeseboard. The staff were lovely and we had a good chat with the lady owner originally from Yorkshire like my husband. Only when deciding to leave a review did I check out the others. I am unsure which café the reviewer Ciaran visited but it can't be this one!

I really enjoyed tonight’s excellent chilli con carne dinner. Accompanied by fries, salsa, avocado, salad and nachos. One of the best chilli’s I have ever tasted. Followed by a lovely homemade fruit scone, jam and clotted cream. Absolutely a pleasure to eat there as always

Great place to dine in Millport food excellent, staff friendly, worth a visit.

Arrived in this lovely “looking” cafe and was greeted by standing for over 10 mins before being seated or noticed by staff. Once sat down on a very dirty table we ordered very quickly. Sadly our food didn’t arrive as quickly as after a slow 50 minutes we were greeted with a fully loaded “quarter-pounder” burger which is thinner than McDonald’s and fully loaded with hair (none of the kitchen staff wearing hair nets). A chicken burger which was plain and borderline undercooked and chilly that looked like it came from a microwave served with shop bought nachos. All this food once tasted was burning hot even after 50 minute wait and burned many of our mouths causing us to not even be able too taste the food. Waiters were standing around on their phones and doing the minimum. If in the area I would definitely looking around a bit more before settling on this place!!!

We booked for Saturday night for dinner . There were 6 of us. We were given a private booth. Both the service, and food was excellent. We all enjoyed our night . We will definitely go back. A strong recommendation, and very reasonable!

Had a Beautiful meal in a great wee place and lovely staff Unfortunately we were eating when a Gerry Glynn made an exhibition of himself which his wife apologized for him being loud to the staff when he was clearly in the wrong so he was asked to leave by staff and left everyone feeling uncomfortable. I would recommend he be ignored as this appears to be the best place with the best food on the Islnd.Pompous fool

We had an impromptu day on the island and got lucky with an outside table here in the early evening, enjoying the first warm night of summer. The food was absolutely delicious & the staff were so great. When we got to the ferry it was a bit chilly & I realised I’d dropped my jumper & it was my favourite one. We didn’t have time to go back & I wasn’t sure if I dropped it in the restaurant. I called up & the guy asked everyone and checked by the table & said he could see one over the road on the beach wall. It was mine & he was going to keep hold of it for us to go back the next day. I had walked over to take some photos at the end of the meal so must have dropped it then! About 10 minutes later, he called to say if we were still in Largz one of the members of staff was getting the last ferry over and could bring it. I was blown away. We were due to drive back to Ramsgate the next day, so going to the island first was going to be tricky and so this absolutely made my day! So much kindness and thought. I can’t thank you enough and hope to visit you again soon!

A lovely little place. I had Scotch broth, tea and fruit scone. The scone was that nice, I bought another one to take away! The toilet is out the back, no steps, but just be aware if you have mobility issues (as I do). Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

After traveling all day from NYC, my son and I (musicians attending the classical guitar retreat in Millport, Scotland) were absolutely delighted with our experience at Round Island Cafe Bar! The food was divine, the vibe exquisite and both Tom and Cindy are such warm hearted, down to earth, and lovely people. A++

The owners and staff were really nice and the food was ready fast. The food was very good and there is a very big variety of dishes on the menu. It was such a nice cozy little place and it had free WiFi. There’s indoor and outdoor seating and there is usually very little people there so you have the whole place to yourself.

Best meal on the island. Definitely recommend this place. My partner is celiac and they were amazing with alternative choices.

Despite being short-staffed and busy, they fitted us in and served delicious homemade soup. Yummy!

Lovely fresh food, amazing baking and fantastic service

Amazing place, very very friendly owner, great beers and not over priced. We did not eat here but yhe food looks great too. Very good choice, they state they shut at 6pm but thats not always the case, they sometimes close at 11pm so if your around in Millport call in for a drink.

Stopped in for coffee and cake to help fuel the last part of my second lap of the island. The coffee was strong and the chocolate fudge cake was amazing but the highlight was the friendly and polite service from the two young waiting staff.

Lovely food and service. Staff were very accommodating and friendly considering we had two dogs with us. Even gave the dogs a treat each to make sure they were happy.
