The Damson Tree Cafe in Stockport

Absolutely love this fantastic little cafe for lunch (breakfasts are great as well) Beautiful cakes, sandwiches and tasty salad bowls. The quality of the ingredients really makes it stand out. The Damson Tree also provided catering for my birthday party which was superb and my daughter’s 21st birthday cake was absolutely gorgeous. Lovely friendly staff.

Really nice lunch with my colleague before work. I had the curry mango chicken with Asian slaw baguette and enjoyed it with my oat milk flat white and my friend had a jacket potato with Asian slaw. Friendly staff that were really helpful as it was our first time there. They have some lovely little gifts and cards inside the cafe that you can purchase too!

I had breakfast at The Damson Tree with a colleague last month and we were very impressed with both the food and the service. During our visit we were told they had an afternoon tea delivery service. Since then w have ordered multiple teas for lunch during meetings at our offices. The packaging, quality and consistency of the product never fail to impress which is why we will continue to use this service.

i booked a cream tea for 4 . The sandwiches were fresh . The cakes were really large sliced chocolate cake and lemon cake the chocolate cake was dry. The “scones” were flat like Scottish oat cakes .. unlike the traditional scone which is part of the ritual an pleasure of a cream tea. They could not be cut in half as they were so thin. They were actually like sawdust. it totally ruined our day and the reunion. I emailed the Damson Tree and the manager said i should have told her on the day but i did not want to spoil the day more than i had to. She also said she would “replace” the scones if i was local. Not good customer service at all! We were visitors! I used bank transfer up front to pay! M Wade

Absolutely outstanding afternoon tea. Beautifully presented, excellent quality and such a range of food provided. We had these delivered to parents as a Mother’s Day treat and they were over the moon with it. It lasted them 3 meals. We will definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you for providing such good quality food at reasonable prices.

My husband ordered me a chocolate birthday cake from The Damson Tree and it was amazing - absolutely delicious. We have also ordered the afternoon tea before for our daughter’s birthday which was of very good quality.

We have had afternoon tea for 2 delivered from The Damson Tree Cafe today. We’ve had a few deliveries during lockdown but this was by far the nicest and best value for money. The cakes and scones are all homemade and of a really good quality, so delicious. It’s presented so beautifully in a gorgeous box with branded ribbon. Looks so professional. Will definitely be ordering one of these again and will be recommending you to all my friends X

I ordered afternoon tea boxes to be delivered for my husbands 80th birthday, it was lovely and each box was beautifully presented. I highly recommend The Damson Tree, & jo was able to organise each box according to our guests requests for variety of sandwiches. We regularly pop in here for breakfast, coffee or lunch. The owners, two lovely ladies , and all staff are so nice and friendly. Their coffee and teas are great and food of all types is lovely fresh and tasty. They always have a good lunch specials board and are usually happy to cater for any special off menu requests if possible. The vast majority of food is made fresh on the premises including all the super cakes and tray bakes, etc. They also stock a selection of unusual occasion cards and and children’s unusual presents. All highly recommended.

Such a lovely cafe, well worth a visit and the latte and brie and bacon pannini was excellent. Will definitly be going again.

Delicious food, amazing presentation and lovely staff. We regularly order business lunches and Lucy, Jo and the team cannot do enough for you. The fact that the food is amazing is an added bonus!

Excellent service and caters for all ages; it was child friendly and a fun place to be. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I didn’t know this place existed until recently, when it was recommended as a family friendly cafe nearby. We visited at the weekend with our baby and will be back. The Tea and cake were lovely and reasonably priced, tea served in a pot for 2, cake slices generous and having followed this place on Facebook I know the cakes change regularly and there is a variety of choice. Looking forward to making this a regular treat. The staff were attentive and evidently knew their clientele well, which was nice to see. Lovely selection of gifts in the cafe too and still plenty of room for our pram.

A lovely local cafe. A community cafe. Child friendly - they have toys in the corner for the kids to play withAll the food is very fresh made. First visit a take away buttie - lovely.Second visit we ate in. My wife had the seasonal turkey and stuffing sandwich. She much enjoyed, I had a sausage, cheese and chutney pannini. Totally fresh and tasty. And nice pot of tea too.And they do cake bakes too - all home made.
