Lovely place to relax while waiting for your train. Kind gentle people providing superb coffee and a wide range of nice things at amazingly low prices. Has a real sanctuary feel, clearly very popular with the local community. Long may it continue.

What a lovely little cafe. Went with 3 friends for the first time today but definitely won’t be the last. Really clean comfortable and food was so nice and reasonable priced, ladies serving were lovely. Not local to me but we’ll worth a run out . Will be visiting again soon.

This great community cafe is strongly linked to St Chad's Church. It has a Christian bookshop and has various events on. They have a extensive menu with a range of breakfast items, sandwiches, salad lunches, and hot and cold drinks. I had a lovely latte and my wife enjoyed her cup of tea. Excellent and friendly service. Highly recommended.

This cafe is run by volunteers from St Chad's Church. It also has a bookshop which also sells cards and gifts. I had a lovely pumpkin and sweet potato soup which was full of flavour, along with this I got two lovely white bread rolls, and had a glass of lemonade with ice. My son had baked beans on toast which he enjoyed, along with a cup of tea. They have a extensive menu doing sandwiches, toasties, salads, cakes and hot and cold drinks. Highly recommended.

Had a pleasant breakfast, Had a lovely gingerbread latte, others had tea which was topped up with hot water. Had the cooked breakfast, they had run out of sausages. 2 slices of bacon, tomato, baked beans and a fried egg all fine. My sons bacon and sausage were nearly burnt in his barm cake.Pleasant if not always efficient service.

Came in here for a cooked breakfast, had a lovely gingerbread latte whilst I was waiting to warm me up, along with this came a complementary mini rocky road cake. Had a big cooked breakfast with 2 big tasty butchers style pork sausages, 2 well cooked rashers of tasty bacon, a big portion of baked beans, a grilled tomato, a fried egg a bit over cooked to my tastes, a slice of toast and portion of butter all very filling, Would have liked to have had some bury black pudding with my breakfast, but coped without. My son had a sausage barm and tea, all given with great service, good value for around £12.00.Has a bookshop, and christian cards shop, great place.

Food is lovely and very child friendly with children’s menu and high chairs. The cakes are delicious too. They also have a stay and play area for children where you can get a takeaway hot drink and allow your child to play while you sit back and relax. Very reasonably priced food and drinks, would definitely recommend.

I have walked past this café many times but today I called in to sample the food and service having heard about the high quality and service. Many people working in the café are trained volunteers being members of St Chads Church. There is a wide range of coffees and teas available. Lunch is served daily including sandwiches, soup, toasties, jacket potatoes, cream teas and cakes. Children's preferences are also catered for - fish fingers and the like. Wi-Fi is freely available and the café also provides a good range of daily national and local newspapers to browse. Peace and quiet prevails - no background music is provided - thank you. Service was quick and efficient.
