The Cupcakery in North Devon

Had a lovely stop mid-mooch in Barnstaple for a cuppa & cake. Owner was friendly & helpful, giving good recommendations on which treats to pick. Took some pics for us which was appreciated. Cakes were delicious!

I visited the cupcakery with my family and as always it was delicious the variety of cakes and coffees is always brilliant.

Popped in on a whim for coffee and cupcakes, we were NOT disappointed. Delightful little cafe Cupcakery, we will return without a doubt. We also took away some rocky road for home. Very good value considering the competition.

This is a fantastic little coffee shop / bakery. The cakes are amazing and such good value at £2 a cake! Would recommend the brownies and rocky roads. The cupcakes looked beautiful too.

A fantastic little find. The cupcakery isn’t completely visible from the street but the street is certainly worth a visit! The cupcake was excellent and for me, served with a black tea. Price is reasonable and location superb for people watching

We purchased 8 cupcakes 🧁 on a morning walk around Barnstaple on a family holiday in Devon. I consider myself a-bit of a cupcake connoisseur, so when I say these cakes were AMAZING I mean it. If you’re ever in Barnstaple go check this lovely little shop out (little stall / shop opposite the main Pannier market) or locals get yourself ordering for birthdays, baby showers, thank you gifts, Uni graduation…..well ok any occasion, they’re that delicious 😋.

Looking for a local Independant coffee and cake stop and found the cupcakery. Lots of different choices of cake incl biscoff, raspberry, lemon, salted caramel and tons more. Lovely atmosphere- well worth a stop

This was my first trip out since lockdown I came here with my daughter for tea and cake and we wernt disappointed. Having never been here before we loved the different types of flavoured cupcakes my daughter had chocolate orange which apparently was the best cup cake ever!!! I would highly recommend this lovely place helpful friendly lady who served us 5 stars

Cute little place for 2 or 4 people. Following all covid 19 precautions. Lovely and clean, and very well presented. Great for a couple or with friends for tea and a cupcake. So many to choose from its hard to make a choice! Also takeaway available. One of my friends was full from her lunch, so thy gave her a box to take half her cupcake home. The lady who owns it was very pleasant. Thank you for such tasty cakes!! ❤

I bought a selection after hearing the hype about these cupcakes. The chocolate ones were quite dry but the buttercream was quite chocolatey. Flavouring in the other sponges was quite faint. Buttercream had quite a bit of flavour in but not quite what the flavour offered was. Nice to try once, wouldn't again.

Truly delicious cupcakes! This is just a small little shop along Butcher's Row, but they sell an impressive selection of luxury, gooey cupcakes. There is space inside to eat in, but I've never done this so can't comment on the service. However, I can say that they sell the best cupcakes I've ever tasted.

My sister in law took me to this place as a surprise knowing they did excellent cupcakes as she knows it have a sweet tooth. It's off the beaten track if you don't know Barnstaple but it's close to the pannier market whuchas is well known. It's a small shop with a few tables with flowers on and u ship so on seats. As you walk in you are looking at the display of cupcakes. Selecting of drinks available. Hannah is the owner who is very pleasant and leaves you to choose your cake. Lovely kitsch crockery. It's worth a visit. Not expensive and she also does takeout. If could have eaten all of them they looked amazing. Do try and make a trip to this lovely little cafe.

A couple of work colleagues met up here what a lovely place only small but lovely coffee, cake and service well worth a visit I even took home takeaway cupcakes for family

Always blown away by the amazing cupcakes when i walk in here! Massive credit to the baker they literally melt in your mouth when you take a bite! So many choices to pick from and great value! Next time i will have to sit in and have a cuppa at the same time instead of always taking away! Staff are wonderful :)

Highly recommend this independent little cup cake bakery. The best we've ever had and very reasonably priced. Loads of lovely different varieties and all amazing. We were all wowed ❤🍰

In Butchers Row you will find this gem. Amazing cupcakes to take away or eat in with fantastic hot chocolate with all the trimmings, coffees, teas etc. We were warmly welcomed by the team and recommend a visit!

We visit The Cupcakery every time we come on holiday to North Devon. The cupcakes are absolutely phenomenal, both the cake and the icing is to perfection.

A friend brought a box of these fabulous cakes for our girl's weekend away. They looked and tasted delicious. I sometimes like the look of Cupcakes, but find them too sweet - These were perfect!! 😊

We moved to North Devon last year and since then have already visited The Cupcakery far FAR too often. Any family or friends coming for a visit get initiated in to the fan club and each and every flavour tried has never disappointed!

A dizzying array of beautifully made cupcakes (including gluten free options) are always available and the service is always friendly and very helpful. The lovely smell as you enter the shop is worth a visit in itself!

My husband brought home some of The Cupcakery's cupcakes for a weekend treat. Wow, what wonderful cup cakes. Many delicious flavours, so we're going to have go back and try more. Such imaginative flavours and all with a hidden surprise in the centre. My husband commented on the friendly service and the care and pride taken in the packaging. Lovely.

I bought 2 different cupcakes for my husband and I to takeaway to have with a cup of coffee at home. They were so yummy. Friendly assistant behind the counter and packed in a proper box.

I have visited here several times since opening to eat in and takeaway. Always a friendly service and great tasting. I love the choice of flavours!

Outstanding cupcakes with excellent friendly service. We were spoilt for choice of the types of cupcakes. We sat inside & enjoyed some fresh tea and a latte. Highly recommend & look forward to returning.

We stopped off whilst visiting Barnstaple on holiday, I was sad to see that all the butchers had gone but was very happy to see new business like this one. We had coffee and cakes all were delicious and very reasonably priced I hope to go back soon.

My eldest daughter was home from university and said Dad we must go here ( she adores cupcakes) so we came here with her sister and my partner for cupcakes and tea. What a lovely place ,lovely ladies to serve you and rather delightful crockery. We did take some cupcakes away with us !!!! Enjoy this little marvel.

I have visited The Cupcakery twice now and both times there has been a wonderful range of cakes to choose from. I've tried the Ferrero Rocher and cookie dough cupcakes - both were delicious! Be sure to stop by if you're in Barnstaple.

This little shop is amazing they have so many different flavours of cupcakes and they change all the time so you always find new favourites! You really need to visit you won’t be disappointed 🍰

Been to The Cupcakery a couple of times and its a lovely little shop with some seating if you want to sit down with a tea or coffee and eat your cupcake rather than taking away. Between us we've had quite a few flavours and they've all been delicious! They look beautiful and lots of them have a surprise gooey middle.

What a fab little shop and tiny tea room... had a Stollen cupcake with a well earnt cuppa and it was totally gorgeous. Probably a good job I live a few miles away or I'd be a regular in there. Mr had chocolate orange cupcake and coffee ... didn't get offered any as he scoffed the lot!!! - we'll be back
