Nice friendly pub close to the bus and train stations a number of TV screens showing a variety of sports. I haven't tried the food so can't comment a good selection of beers and largers

Visited before the match yesterday, got in nice and early and already busy but we still got a table. Ideally positioned to watch the cricket and football which was a bonus. Very friendly and welcoming not just the staff but the regular customers too. Good choice of ales which I tried 3 of, they were all very well kept and overall excellent value for money. This pub will definitely be our go to pub for future visits to Huddersfield. Don’t think you could ask much more if a pub then what we found here 👍

Absolute scam, run a ghost kitchen on justeat through this place. They gave no way of contacting and don’t send the food you ordered. No way of complaining or getting a refund - DO NOT ORDER - Burrito Bandits definitely bandits but no burrito

Horrendous, do not use the takeaway burrito bandits based out of this place.delivered half the food and the food they did deliver was freezing and not what I ordered.

Rude staff and full of the wrong sort of clientele, plenty of other more appealing boozers nearby!

There is no atmosphere at all, you hzve to wait nearly 10 mins to get served and the boss and staff are very rude. Hate the dhit place that its turned into.

Good pub nice food convenient for bus and train station

Dirty and unkept pretty much everywhere. And the manager with the fake teeth was stood behind the bar clearly off her head on drugs. Just stood there gurning her jaw like crazy.

Had Xmas dinner here with my lovely friends. The food was delish! Staff really helpful and efficient. Fab day alround. Had a 2 course Xmas dinner. Drinks and food prompt. Lovely friendly staff! Danielle is fantastic

Stopped by The Crown last weekend with my friend Clarice, and it didn’t disappoint. Kieran was running the show and made everyone feel welcome—proper good lad who knows how to keep the place ticking. The pub’s got a great vibe—relaxed but lively. I went for the basket of wings, which were spot on—crispy, full of flavour, and perfect with a Chianti (Kieran’s suggestion, and he was right). If Hannibal Lecter swung by, I reckon he’d swap the fava beans for Fish and Chips and would not be disappointed! Definitely worth a visit if you’re after good food, decent drinks, and a bit of a laugh. Cheers to Kieran and the team—see you soon! Hope to pop in again soon Beki x

In to watch the England match, good atmosphere as always.

I always pop in for a drink with my dad. Just a shame they only have entertainment on a bank holiday. Back in the day, the Crown was banging on a Saturday night.

Staff are friendly, will put sports on if they have it, nice food, the boys even dressed up for Halloween. Meat hamper on a Sunday as well as. Open the box

Food was great, staff was efficient and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for better service also everything was clean and well kept. Christmas decorations looked great too. Will defo return and recommend.

Really outdated as they refused to serve us as our UK residence permits (issued by the UK home office) were not getting scanned by their device. Don’t visit if you’re a tourist!!

First time popping in to this pub. Had an ale which was pretty weak and substandard. We ordered food on their app, ordering the Fish & Chips platter, to then be told they didn't do it, and we could have burgers. Offered us an additional drink with the burger, which would have been free (or cheap for the ale) with the burgers anyway). Chips looked like they were from a packet. The burger was nice, but was quite vinegary. Hard to tell if it was the burger itself or the burger sauce. Nice looking pub inside though. Probably won't be back again.

Really lovely food for me and 2 friends. Good value and tastes so nice could not fault it. We had scampi, pasta and added crispy chicken and chicken tikka masala and all was tasty and just gorgeous - thank you Bar staff so nice and absolutely no complaints what do ever we highly recommend

The food was great really tasty … I went with a couple mates and everyone enjoyed their meals , the staff really looked after us and helped with any questions and queries

Gin served in a cruzcampo glass? I can tell you where your glassware is. On every single table in the venue. Not a single table that isn't loaded with empty old glassware, very dirty and unorganized.

A short visit to Huddersfield and a bite to eat with a pint … smallish public house with a rear garden although not frequented on a winters day. Lunch off the menu good value for money served quick and hot. Beer plenty to chose from Small areas inside with seating tables. Yes it’s ok with us Pub opposite Huddersfield town hall … possible restricted parking.

Been today for first time just for a drink. Fabulous friendly pub with gr8 beer , kicking myself for the time I've walked past . Love it will be in again soon 11/10

Nipped in for last orders after a gig. Didn't have food so can't comment. Beer ok staff friendly. Only a couple of people in so atmosphere was as expected

If I could leave zero stars I would! This pub wouldn’t serve my friends with their provisional licenses, in particular the man behind the bar refused to serve our black and female friends. A provisional license is a valid form of ID, they had no reason to refuse some of our party.

Disspointed with food ,raw carrot /,peas basic frozen microwave food but ridiculose waiting time more interested in getting Justeat/ Deliveroo orders out then getting the food out for customers in pub ,wont eat there again

Went in today and had a mixed grill it was one of the best I have had , the steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it and it tasted amazing the chips were crispy too just how I like them …. Thankyou so much

Lively and friendly pub. A warm Yorkshire welcome assured. Great atmosphere. Good beer and good pub food. Lots of TV's for sport. Staff very accommodating for us when we booked a table to see the rugby.

Large sports bar with lots of screens. Friendly team on hand for great service. For pub food they have an interesting menu with lots of options and some big portion sizes. You certainly won't leave hungry as you have to roll yourself out after eating. This is quantity rather than quality, but that doesn't mean missing out on lots of tasty options to choose from.

Came for a few drinks after our toby carvery, Pricing of drinks seems to have gone up other than that all was okay

I came to watch Leeds loose to Man City and decided to order burgers for me and my friend. Last time I ate here a few years ago it was awful but I’m happy to say the new management has vastly improved the menu. It was lovely and I’d highly recommended you eat here if your out and about in Huddersfield with friends

Visited for Lunch the food was good value well cooked with excellent service . We had Rump steak and Katsu Chicken with a glass of wine and a pint of Blond Very reasonable price £23.50 We definitely be back again

Awful food covered in oil and staff were extremely rude when told an item was wrong.

Old style pub in town with a new up to date twist. Always busy, staff engage with customers. They are polite and give a warm welcome whenever I go in for a bite to eat. Breakfast is my all time favourite meal. It makes me feel nostalgic seeing all the real ales and also some locally sourced from independent breweries. Fabulous I will be back can’t wait !!
