Great venue, great staff Jess in particular made the service outstanding answering all questions and responding outstandingly

Amazing food as always but the best service that can’t be left unmentioned by Jess. She was so thoughtful and really bubbly and happy through out, made it a really positive experience!

Really disappointed with the service today. Waited over 25 minutes to be served for a drink at the bar with hardly anyone there. Person serving tonight looked and came across like he didn’t want to be there and couldn’t care less. Such a shame for a great pub and location - staff need better customer service training. Won’t be taking any friends or clients there again.

We came the the Crown as a family for my father in laws 90th birthday celebration. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us all including a toddler and a dog. The food was absolutely gorgeous and there were so many lovely choices on the menu. Many thanks to all the staff for making this a special visit

Beautiful visit from start to finish. Food and drinks were stunning and delivered promptly. Our server was polite and there was nothing that was too much trouble for him. Me and my friends are still talking about how amazing it was a whole day later! We will be returning very soon! Thank you to all the team!

2 quite major errors with our visit ...no tea in stock to drink , and the dessert poached pears had not been cooked at all !. However we were given a discount and an alternative dessert to compensate ,so the complaints were dealt with in a polite and professional manner.Pretty avoidable mistakes though. On a more positive note the mains , sea bass and linguini were both very nice indeed. The dining area is very dimly lit .obviously to create atmosphere. but it made it difficult to read the menus so would suggest a bit more light for diners please.So a mixed experience really.

The meal was the worst to date I left my veggie one so bad . You know the food is bad when no one's to ask you about your meals . If in the area again I'd rather go to a chippy you know what you're getting .

I hadn’t been to The Crown for food for a while so was looking forward to spending an evening there with a friend. We ordered drinks, starters, mains and dessert. I ordered the steak and Malbec pie as my main but was disappointed with it as the meat was tough and grisly. The pastry itself was too hard and tasteless. At £18.50 for the dish it was unpalatable in more ways than one. The wine we ordered with our mains didn’t arrive until we had finished the course, this was also disapppointing. The overall spend was £140 which is not cheap. I have always liked The Crown but I think the quality of the food has slipped and conversely the prices have increased.

This smart pub lived up to its reputation. The service was exemplary throughout our visit. We were allocated a nice seat in the bar area (as requested) . It was very pleasing that Brad, our waiter, remembered me from a previous visit and made a reliable recommendation from the lovely menu. Lizzie manages her team well and we felt valued customers. My family and I went to the Crown on a Sunday, in the hopes of finding a good local restaurant. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a lady, white top and immediately felt not very welcomed. She said hello and asked if we booked; upon giving her my name, her body language was quite passive; swinging the door with little regard of it being opened where I had to stand back to stop the door from banging into my leg. Whilst she was getting our menus, a man came over and approached the host and politely asked, "sorry, when you get second would you mind coming over and shutting the blinds on our table, as the sun is shining through where we can't see," she reacted abruptly "do you want to ask your server" and pointed over to the bar area, ushering the man away. As far as welcomes go, this is possibly one of the worst welcomes I've had upon entering a restaurant. The waitress who served us, (lady with glasses) was courteous and polite. The starters arrived, mushroom ciabatta and pate. They very nicely cooked. Unfortunately there was a mix up with my daughters meal, which we wanted to come out at the same time as our starters, which took very long to come out. The mains arrived, I had the crab/prawn linguine and my partner had the trio roast dinner. Linguine tasted okay, however the parmesan was forgotten about and by the time it arrived the meal was nearly complete; this was a shame as it made it all come together. Although it tasted nice, I note that there was barely any crab and the prawns were not fresh and slightly over cooked. The roast dinner was lacking as although it tasted okay, the veg, chicken and potatoes tasted like they had been reheated. It was a shame as it the flavour was nice. All in all, through out watching the staff in this establishment; you feel like there is atmosphere between the staff. It's a shame as the food has promise and the setup of the restaurant is lovely. To summarise, average food (6/10) poor host (1/10) and service at table (6/10). The reason for the low mark at the table service is that my 6 year old food took too long, leaving her restless whilst we ate and she didn't have her food (it took an additional 15+ mins to arrive after the first order was wrong). Also, there is a young waiter, who looks new to the industry, the way the other waitress snapped to "pick the plate up" when the order was wrong, was just unnecessary and added to what was already a poor atmosphere. Sorry to say we won't be returning unless service levels are improved.

The start even though it was a little gregarious, and broken by apologies from the maitre d, was enjoyable because of the company we had. After we were seated it was an experience that just kept getting better. Food was superb. Service was even better.

Fab pub for a spot of lunch. Thanks to the team here at the Crown. We shall be returning very soon. Looking forward to the steak sandwich again.

We went to the Crown early today for a Valentines lunch and we chose the full Valentine menu including the wine choice at £55 each , the wines were all around £50 per bottle so it was well worth it. Brad greeted us , the place wasn’t busy so he let us choose a table …. That’s why we went in today and not in the evening !! Frankie and Liz were our waitresses and the service was excellent from both of them to be honest . Food is always good here and we started with Scallops for me and King Prawns for my wife …. Mains were pork belly & scallops for Tracy and the sea bass for me & for deserts we had the berry pavlova and cheese & biscuits. All of the courses were excellent , tasty , lovely presentation and served with adequate breaks in between … We had the Ridgeview Rose which was a beautiful sparkling British wine and couple of floater coffees to end a fantastic lunch , thanks to everyone there today especially Brad , Frankie & Liz … hope the evening Valentines rush wasn’t too bad for you all.

My friends and I usually chose this place when we meet up and normally the food is perfect along with the atmosphere. Unfortunately last night was a different story. All of our meals were not the best and the atmosphere was very strange. I had the sea bass which was around £20. There were 4 cherry tomatoes that hadn't been chopped (& barely grilled). The sea bass also came with plain BOILED new potatoes (again not chopped in half) with what tasted like a can of chicken soup as the sauce underneath 🤢! My friend asked for lamb medium/well done and instead got rare. We politely told a member of staff however although this returned more well done it was drowning in extra gravy!! My other friends burger was the Vege option but was so over cooked she said it was dry!!! Thank goodness the deserts were nice to make up for it. Our waiter was a lovely young gentleman and we didn't want to make a scene after already having to return the lamb so we ate what we could of our meals and paid the full price for our meal. As for the lady behind the bar, she may be better suited to working in a night club because her behaviour behind the bar dancing and shaking her head was so unprofessional and she looked silly!

An excellent meal once again. It’s a pity that battered halloumi is no longer offered as an alternative to fish and chips, but the nourish bowl (don’t be put off by the name!) is to be highly recommended – low in calories but quite filling. There is good vegetarian choice, personable staff, and very adequate parking facilities.

So I've actually eaten here a couple of times in the past few weeks and on both occasions it's been ok overall. Had there not been a couple of incidents (one on each visit) then I would be much more inclined to write a more favourable review. The first time we ate it was a 50% off mains evening and whilst I receive the mails and could show previous mails I was unable to locate the one relevant to this specific event. Fair enough - I get that but it was the way in which it was handled by the barman (Brad I think) that left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Fortunately I managed to locate the email when I sat back down and there was an incredibly helpful waitress who spoke to me seperately after clocking what was going on. That being said - the damage was down with the poor attitude and customer service from Brad. Whilst we were eating not once were we asked how our food was and again when Brad collected the plates from our table there was no mention of 'How was everything for you?'. The last time we ate there (Friday 2nd) we had an incident whereby the waiter handed a hot plate over to one of our party which resulted in burnt fingers!!! We mentioned this to a chap that came over to ask how our food was and he seemed concerned but that was the last we heard about it - more interested in brushing it under the rug I'd say. Anyway - we're still weighing up whether or not to take this matter further but all in all I'd say the level of customer service and training just isn't what it used to be here. The food has improved though but not sure we'll be eating there again...we've had our fingers burnt...literally!

Went for Sunday lunch , I ordered the duo of beef and my wife the sirloin, on mine was a small portion of sirloin and a rather fatty and small piece of slow cooked boneless short rib along with burnt roast potatoes and an overdone flat Yorkshire pudding. My wife’s was less disappointing with a generous portion of sirloin and a reasonable Yorkshire pudding however the roast potatoes were burnt and overdone. We weren’t asked if the meal was ok until the end so pointed out the shortfalls then and mine was discounted off the bill. Dessert was ok, service was average. Would I return? No, there’s better out there at that price point

I love this place. Beautiful food, I highly recommend the Diablo pizza. Great value for money. We were looked after from the moment we walked through the front door. This is a place I could come time and time again it’s simply wonderful. Well done to Liz and the team.

Booked at short notice. Table was ready even though we were early. Interior decor is very impressive. Spacious, comfortable, clean & contemporary. Service was excellent throughout out visit. Husband had rack of lamb which he devoured. I had fishcakes which were delicious and they came with fries ( I don't eat fries) or salad, so I had the salad which was very disappointing. Overall a lovely meal but the salad was a let down. Will return.

The experience I received today was exquisite, the handsome guy in the shirt, Ben, he was so attentive to my party, always in hand clearing glasses and plates and always there to take more orders. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The title sums up our experience; initial greeting was great, food order taken and the starters arrived really quickly.It was at this point the wait began…40 minutes later we saw what turned out to be our meals served under the kitchen lamps.Another 12 minutes passed before anyone thought to serve the food…they then realised our starter plates had not been cleared, so back goes the food . Table cleared and food finally delivered.More delays while I go hunting for replacement cutlery, and so by this time the luke warm food was cold…a dirty cheeseburger with cold and congealed cheese is not a pretty sight…glad I left it alone.If the place was full of customers and the staff were run off their feet, I’d understand, but it was not busy and the only thing keeping the staff busy was ensuring their Costa drinks didn’t go cold.A well deserved 1/10 from me.

Went with my husband for late lunch. The food was great and the service excellent, despite obvious staff shortages. A really lovely atmosphere With friendly staff.

I have reviewed The Crown before but felt the need to sing their praises again. ‘Consistently’ is my word every time I visit. Consistently tasty food, consistently efficient waiting staff and a consistently good time! Thank you The Crown. I’ll be back for more consistency!

Last minute booking to celebrate some good news and this didn’t disappoint. From the moment we walked into a well kept, well presented pub, we had a lovely evening. We both started with the Brie, and the chutney was delicious. My husband went on to the dirty cheeseburger and I had the lamb and scallops. I think I went to food heaven, it was amazing. We finished with sticky toffee pudding and passion fruit martini Eton mess. The portions were just the right size and the staff checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be back.

Visited Monday and was very busy. We had the dirty burger which was very tasty and filling and the duck salad, definitely recommend. Was lovely to see a waitress with blonde hair that sang Happy Birthday to 2 separate tables and most of the restaurant joined in with the singing. She was very smiley and cheerful. Great atmosphere and food!

What's gone wrong with the Crown, Booked a table for lunch, arrived at 12.45 , for 1pm dinner, all going well arrived booked in sat down, took drink order , and waited 40 minutes to get our drinks?? When they did come over 1 missing, 1 wrong, not the best start, so got those sorted waited yet another 40+ minutes to even order lunch, by this time our Grandaughter was getting restless, and so were we, now dont get me wrong weve dined here a few times now and never had service like this before, and hopefully wont ever again, food eventually came out one was again wrong, sent it back, the other 3 ate their meals, still no meal changed, around 5 mins later meal came out, in then time the other 3 were very greasy, undercooked peas carrots, Parsnips, cauliflower cheese was hard and cheese sauce cold, fish n chips was nearly swimming off the plate , chips greasy and over cooked, this was the worst meal weve ever had from the Wergs in 10 years of going up there.Have you changed chefs ?? These meals seemed to be brought in already made, and your staff just heated it up, ?? This wasnt the normal standard of food weve had before by a long way, for £107 for the 4 of us was far more than what it was worth . I'm afraid we wont be in a hurry to return if this is now the standard of food the kitchen puts out .totally disappointed. I hope it improves some.

Would highly recommend the rib eye steak, cooked medium rare as requested and also had a side of billionaire fries as recommended by our waitress Zoe. Overall a lovely evening and compliments to Zoe and the chefs. Will definitely return.

Restaurant was fully booked so sat in bar area. Very cosy and comfortable. Would highly recommend the seabass. Delicious. Staff were lovely and friendly and very knowledgeable on the wine we ordered. Overall a great experience.

Called in for a snack lunch on Saturday, greeted by a very pleasant guy who showed us to a table in the window of the bar, exactly what we asked for. Chose a selection of small plates from the menu and a couple of drinks. The young lady at the bar was so pleasant to speak with and obviously happy to be there. The food arrived quickly and as ever was delicious. Attention to detail in the presentation of the food is always impressive. Coffee to finish and on with our day. An all round nice experience.

Chicken was completely off the menu across all meals and for a Sunday this was very poor. specially as all 5 guests wanted chicken and we were only told when actually taking our order (not on arrival) then the second option of Grilled Bass was also unavailable so we all had to have meal choices we didnt really want. The waiter was very good but fundamentally, the choice of meal options were so limited, and along with the fact one starter arrived 20 minutes after all of the others, the whole experience was not very good

Visited today. Service poor, food lukewarm. Friend wanted just a starter of prawns and a portion of chips to be served with my main which I explained when ordering. Just the prawns came. Then my burger came and my friends chips. Was asked if she wanted sauces, said yes to tomato sauce, which never came. Both meals were lukewarm to cold. It's a shame, nice setting, won't be going again.

Service is good. Food was not that good. Cold vegetables, all meals mainly lukewarm. One meal was forgotten and delivered 10 mins after the rest of the party (although this was deducted from the bill).Shiraz 26.50 per bottle is low alcohol.All in all very disappointing and we will not return.

Had a wonderful meal lastnight at The Crown, the service provided by Zoe our waitress was outstanding, couldn't do enough for us, very friendly and polite. Chocolate bomb is highly recommended

Have regularly visited in the past but today my nut roast was burnt and at no point did anyone come to ask if our food was ok. Not offered any opportunity to order another drink or a desert. To be honest I was relived just to pay and leave. Would not be visiting again as the quality of food and service has seriously deteriorated.

Me and my wife had the squid which tasted like it was just covered in too much salt in the batter. The dipping sauce which usual comes on the side was just pasted to the bottom of the plate. We both ended up leaving the starters.The salmom was over done and just dry. Its was a quick lunch so we didnt really have the time to send it back or reorder. In the end we just paid and left and ate elsewhere.

This place used to be great, not sure if they switched owners but it has gone downhill from food to service. Last time we visited even the portions seemed smaller. Very disappointed we used to love this restaurant.

I have frequented the crown for a number of years but have to say the service and food is actually appalling now! The new blonde manager seemed more interested in laughing with her colleagues than actually looking after paying customers. Items missing from our meals and the food itself was miles away from our previous visits.The most disappointing part of our visit was that nobody actually cared!We won’t be returning again in a hurry

After almost 2years of staying in, my wife and I wanted a nice meal, class surroundings and good service. The Crown has typically been a place that delivers all these things, however on entering we were greeted by the rudest “bouncer” we have ever had the displeasure of meeting, who told us to “wait there” which for paying customers is not particularly welcoming. When we were eventually seated, the food was below the standard - the steak I ordered was of very poor quality, being mostly gristle and fat rather than premium quality which I expected at over £20. To be honest, the evening was not great, and I strongly advise that the door staff receive some sort of customer service education, and a better butcher is used to source the meat. All in all, a rubbish experience that I will not be returning to any time soon.

We visited today for lunch and were greeted by a rude gentleman on the door. We were told “wait for me” which was rather abrupt which we did for several minutes while he faffed about on his till.After our several minute wait he decided to tell us that one of our party would not be allowed to dine as he was wearing jogging bottoms. What is quite amusing is the reason he was wearing jogging bottoms is he is sponsored by Adidas for his sporting activities. What is further amusing his Adidas jogging bottoms alongside a Balmain T Shirt and Louis Vuitton bag was probably the most “luxury” outfit in this pretentious establishment.Let’s not forget this is a pub in Wolverhampton! We have walked into much more upmarket establishments in much more upmarket areas. Perhaps in Wolverhampton places don’t recognise when a sportsperson walks into their pub and disrespects them for wearing clothing with which they are sponsored/expected to wear. Especially strange given it’s proximity to the premier league club down the road!Overall I am gobsmacked by not only the rudeness but the pretentious nature of what is essentially just a pub in a minor City.We shall never and ensure none of our colleagues ever bother to visit again! Absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful to those who play for our country.I doubt you’ll ever see the olympics on the TV here!PS: Perhaps teach your front of house how to treat arriving customers. Also his attire wasn’t greatly appropriate given his shirt was unbuttoned most of the way down and he looked a total mess in comparison.

I went in and forgot my mask, and was dying for the toilet. I was probably going to leave, but Frankie the assistant manager went out of her way to find me a mask. She was so helpful and she is a credit to the organisation.- Josh

Dined here with my partner for a well deserved date night, and first visit booked based upon menu seen on website. I'm a vegan and he's a meat eater so was very impressed with the vegan offering.Upon arrival really impressed with the setting of the restaurant and we definitely had high hopes as the restaurant was pretty full (but socially distanced) on a Saturday night. We were seated at a table near to the garden and the door was open and used as a walk through for waiting staff which meant it was quite chilly as it wasn't the warmest of nights, we asked if we were able to move tables and were moved pretty quickly to a table near to the kitchen which was perfect! For starter I had the hummus and bread which was delicious and so well presented, main course was the nourish bowl which was probably one of the best dishes I had eaten in a restaurant in months by that point and I was delighted to find out I could even pick a dessert (trust me when youre a vegan in Shropshire and Wolverhampton you accept that you can barely have anything), I chose the Berry crumble with soya custard which was AMAZING! Prior to our visit to the Crown I had been out a few other places since lockdown had eased and I was starting to lose hope that dining out in and around where I live just wasn't something I could do as a vegan, the Crown FULLY restored my faith in the hospital industry that there are places out there that can cook food for all diets and not compromise at all on quality. Honestly the best meal I've had out as a vegan so far without doubt and have already recommended to everyone I know in the area to give it a try. Also the service and attentiveness was brilliant and the atmosphere of the restaurant was just perfect, literally could not fault it at all and look forward to going back soon - thank you so much for restoring my faith in dining out!

My friend and I chose The Crown for our long awaited reunion after our Covid enforced separation and we could not have made a better choice. It was a pleasant afternoon so we sat outside at very comfortable patio furniture. The service was excellent; welcoming, friendly and efficient. Our lunch was delicious and we both thoroughly enjoyed the prawn, crab and chorizo linguine which had a nice kick of heat. The sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back.

Came for lunch and it was lovely! Only thing that could have been better were the desserts, chocolate brownie wasn’t as soft usual & tiramisu could have done with a touch more alcohol. Lovely service will be back again.

This is the first time we’ve been back to the crown since this time last year. The food was the best we’ve ever had at the crown, everything was delicious. We are a bit short on choice in Wolverhampton and the crown is usually nice but a bit disappointing and overpriced but usually put up with it because of the lack of choice locally. But this time everything was delish and I can’t wait to return. Clean plates all round. Service was a bit slow at times but very friendly and helpful so not a problem. Would love more vegan and veggie choices.

Attractive exterior with ample parking space and a cosy dining area; we were impressed by the soft lighting, spaciousness, cleanliness and safety guidelines put in place. We had the tempura squid and stuffed mushrooms for our starters and the fish n chips and seafood linguine for our mains. The food was very delicious and well presented. The staff were efficient, well presented and polite. So glad we chanced upon this place and we highly recommend it!

Sat outside in the pergola structure, staff were very helpful and attentive. Sadly quite a few items on the menu were unavailable but what we did get was delicious. Good one way covid system and staff in masks.

First day of being allowed to eat inside...Upon arrival all doors at restaurant were all open... so it was freezing inside (gave up eating outside as it’s been far too cold) hoped it would be warmer inside but no!!! May as well of been stuck outside to be honest! Food was nice... starters have definitely shrunk, lovely chateaubriand!!! Very tasty!!! But to say it was first day of opening they had ran out of a few of the mains on menu... not the best for the big reopening!!!!!

Went to the Crown with the family for lunch today. We had booked, there was no hanging around. Taken straight to the table and drinks order taken whilst we looked at the menu.Although there is a reduced menu there was still plenty to choose from, even on the kids menu.Food was excellent, really tasty, nothing was left on the plate.Staff and manager were efficient, and friendly. Garden was beautiful, clean and tidy.This was our first visit & we will definitely be returning soon.

Absolute great atmosphere, lovely staff nothing is too much for them. Great food and a good selection of drinks!! All round great night

It was great to get back to what we called our local. Change of manager and must be quite daunting re-opening after such a long closure due to lockdown.What hasn't changed is the excellent food. The dirty burger never fails to deliver.What I found slightly lacking was the staff that day. I totally understand and get it isn't easy working in these conditions I work in health so I know. However the rude way in which I was challenged for not wearing a mask despite being exempt and clearly displaying my exemption for him to see was not acceptable at all. It isn't the first time this chap has been rude but this time I quietly spoke to him and told him there's a way to ask the question.Sadly this soured the evening and left not long afterwards.Will try again however I'm not convinced shall remain our local pub.

Great to be back, bit cold outside but food and service excellent as always. New Manager seems nice, and so looking forward to getting back to normal in our local.

We booked a table for our father’s birthday. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. We all had chicken roasts apart from the veggie who had the nut roast. The nut roast plate did not seem as full as the other plates. Chicken was served with leg and breast and bread sauce, with veg and Yorkshire pudding. One member of our party did not like chicken on the bone. Mocktails were nice. Aperol spritz was not that good compared to other places and we have had better sticky toffee pudding. Creme brûlée was big but sugared topping was not hot, just chilled throughout. Staff are all nice and it was Covid 19 secure with nice toilets and ample car parking outside. High chairs are available for toddlers.

I do visit for a relaxing drink on way through and have plenty of lunch meetings with friends and family.Always made welcome and even with the COVID situation the staff have always explained the system to keep staff and customers as safe as possible. Recommend the Sunday trio roast but always feel stuffed and saying “I think I have overdone it again” lol .Thanks to all

On a short business trip from London I visited the crown expecting a quaint country pub experience, hopefully less dreary than the weather at the time, and all expectations were succeeded! All the staff were attentive and friendly, and portrayed a genuine passion for their roles in the industry, something I found very refreshing in the uncertain times we are living in! Unlike your average chain pubs, I could tell the ingredients and produce used for my meal (dirty cheeseburger) were of such a high quality, and the selection of soft drinks is equally impressive. After chatting to some of the locals who spoke very highly of the staff and the general manager Liz I couldn’t help but agree with their sentiment, and would frequent this a similar amount if not more were I situated closer! All round a lovely experience

COVID safe, comfortable environment, excellent staff and service. Food is of a high standard. Wide selection of drinks available. Great outdoor space too.

Great afternoon and amazing food. Francesca and Becca were amazing and looked after us all afternoon. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I had not been in for quite some time, years in fact, because of a bad experience under previous management but I'm glad I did. What a difference.Not only is the place now infinitely more stylish but the proof of any restaurant is service and the food.Fresh, delicious, tasty and thats just the manageress, the food is all of these things too. It isnt cheap but you would not expect a cheap knock off champagne to taste like Bollinger. There are plenty of eateries around the area at a more modest budget, but in turn you also get what you pay for. Is this value for money? A resounding yes. You are never in there too long, but long enough to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, even apparent during the Coronavirus pandemic.Give yourself a treat and get down to the Crown, you won't regret it.

Lovely meal. Fran was an excellent server, I had the Brie start, absolute success. We both had the linguine, loads of crab etc. Highlight of the night was the constant flow of drinks fran provided, would come again! Very accommodating

It is not the best time for pubs at the moment but the staff were cheerful and helpful, and virus measures were in place but not obtrusive. Would certainly return.

Visited here on a Sunday for lunch. They have a heated outside area for you to sit outside should you be visiting with people who aren't from your household.The waiter and waitress were attentive and kept checking if we needed anything else and drinks were provided promptlyThe food was average in taste but nicely presented and the bathroom decor gave me inspiration for how I want mine I'd visit again

Excellent evening at the Crown! Food and service was both incredible, the team are great fun, and the COVID measures in place are brilliant- the perfect mix of keeping everyone safe, but still providing a great experience. Thanks to Liz for really making it special for us!

Tasty food and cocktails! All staff were super friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable with regards to their safety measures during this difficult time. The atmosphere is always lovely and we will definitely be returning!

The manager Liz could not have been more accommodating. We were a group of 6 ladies meeting up in COVID times to have book chat. We were put in a lovely quiet alcove and we enjoyed fizz as we chatted. The Crown is very lucky to have Liz, she is a real asset, very organised and nothing is too much trouble. We will certainly return for meals when we can.

In these strange times we decided in order to meet Covid regulations our book club would have to meet in a local setting rather than our homes. Liz at The Crown was very accommodating placing our group if six in a bay. We celebrated with fizz and coffee whilst discussing our books. Her welcoming attitude has meant we will all be visiting for,meals in the near future.

Six ladies held their book club here during COVID lockdown. Had a wonderful afternoon. The manager was really helpful and provided the next best thing to home!!

Had an absolutely lovely lunch with my husband. Becca was a great waitress. Got everything I needed despite me wanting to change things on my order. She checked in on us and there was no waiting. Service was fantastic and the food was incredibly tasty. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Visited today as a member of a small book club group,very friendly attentive service,nice decor and very pleasant atmosphere,General manager helpful and attentive.An excellent afternoon.
