Really good food. Fish n chips was delicious. Bangers and mash were tasty. Very busy pub but popular.

Our first stop after checking into our hotel. Quaint pub, with a cozy atmosphere.

Very odd night. We tried paying for three drinks with card, the bar staff told us it didn't work, so we paid with a £20 note, and we didn't get any change from the barman. The bar staff didn't want to take any money from us at all until we sat down with our drinks. Looks like they were arguing about something. After we did pay for our drinks, a member of staff slapped the change in my hand after we had to ask for it, and suddenly got very aggressive towards me. He thinks I was clicking my fingers at him... from what I can tell (I clearly wasn't). He was clearly in an extremely bad mood about something. Somebody else might have been getting aggro with him, which is sad, but it wasn't me? After speaking to somebody else in the bar who witnessed the incident, he had been arguing with somebody else. I am really confused about the situation. The barman came off the bar, got in my face and started shouting at me to "come outside". Absolute overreaction about absolutely nothing as far as I and others I spoke to in the bar could tell. Absolutely baffling situation. Shame as I use to enjoy the pub. Clearly isn't the first time it has happened either judging by another review I have seen.

Thieves. I recommend staying away. I got a half pint of beer and paid by card. I absentmindedly place the card on the reader and the guy at the checkout turns around immediately. I pay attention to it but I don't give it importance. Too bad that a few hours later I received the notification from the bank: I didn't pay £2.80 but £28! Absolutely to avoid.

Appoggio distrattamente la carta sul lettore ed il tipo alla cassa con scatto fulmineo si volta immediatamente. Ci faccio caso ma non do importanza. Peccato che qualche ora dopo mi arriva la notifica della banca: non ho pagato 2,80£ ma 28£! Assolutamente da evitare.

I had a beer at the pub on the first floor and £16 fish and chips at the pub on the second floor. It was very delicious~ The fish and chips were very crispy and there was a lot for one person to eat.

Amazing how many times I've been past this pub and not paid any attention. Went here and celebrated my birthday recently and had the best night thanks to the superb staff who went above and beyond to make my day/evening extra special. Good music, even better company. Can't recommend enough 😊

A hidden gem with a nice selection of Thai and Laotian dishes. It's delicious, good value for money and the service is quick and friendly. Definitely my recommendation.

Kay was absolutely fabulous! She is such an asset to this establishment! She was very personable and her sense of humor was lovely! Her attentiveness and service was impeccable!

Visited on Saturday. Didn't eat here. Service was lovely, the lady behind the car was really friendly. We sat outside in the terrace garden, real little suntrap - could do with a bit of a paint job and some "prettying up" but actually nice sitting here. Prices reasonable too.

An amazing boozer with a fabulous Thai restaurant upstairs. Super cheap local ale (£4.60 a pint) and the food was equally amazing value (£13) for a seriously good plate of food. Highly recommended

Fantastic Thai and Laotian food for excellent value. Probably the best casual Thai food I’ve had in London. They can make it “blow your head off” spicy on request if you like it hot. The service was excellent and the staff were helpful in giving their best recommendations. The pub itself is very nice and has an excellent atmosphere to enjoy before and after a great meal

Allways a good welcome & the best guinness in the area

Traditional looking pub with good beers and Thai food in the upstairs dining room. Quiet space every day and with beers a pound cheaper than most places in London. Good corner to let yourself fall into.

Surprising pub where authentic English meets Thai kitchen. Downstairs is an English pub and upstairs is a small Thai restaurant, where they also serve traditional English food if you don't like Thai. It is also possible to eat downstairs in the pub after ordering upstairs. Good price for good food in a pleasant pub.

A great evening with 5 friends. 3 Ales and Guinness all very good. Also had a Guinness 0 which was welcome. Food was perfect, not just full Thia but Lao which I enjoyed.

No alcohol is served in the restaurant and requires this to be purchased downstairs in the pub, which is a bit of an inconvenience. The prices are also average for London. Overall it is a simple average experience that does not leave any lasting memories, but is fine for a stopover if in the area.

Loved this wonderful pub! Joined my father and partner there for some drinks and were well looked after the whole night by the wonderful Kay Paisley. She was attentive, a great chat, and no request was too difficult for her. She basically ran the place herself and clearly knew and was well respected by a lot of the regular patrons. She gave us a great British pub experience for us Aussie travellers and we were so grateful. Great range of beers and spirits to choose from. Looking forward to competing back again!

Amazing food upstairs, definitely a great find

Restaurant upstairs is fantastic; friendly and attentive service and good food. Prices are reasonable for the area, the menu is extensive, and it's very comfortable. However, walked back down the stairs to the pub to get a pint and was immediately redirected to the restaurant by the bartender (presumably because I'm not white) so I left. Pub is unwelcoming with rude servers.

Excellent Thai food served by friendly staff and at a reasonable price. Laab was excellent. Can eat downstairs in the bar, which is quieter at lunch than dinner, alternatively more seating is available upstairs.

(1) they have many options so i can’t say for all food but the pad thai was too salty and too sweet. my mouth was numbed after the meal. (2)10% service charge was automatically added without any mention of it. (3) probably because it is also a pub, upstairs restaurant was also very loud(people talking loudly) for a restaurant.

English pub downstairs and amazing Thai / Lao food upstairs. I had the Chief's special and was soooo happy with my meal. Great flavors with a nice level of spice! Highly recommended short walk from Big Ben.

SO lucky to have found this place on Google maps whilst staying nearby. Proper, friendly, old-fashioned London Irish boozer with a fantastic Laotian/Thai restaurant upstairs. We will be back ❤️

The hostess at the restaurant was very rude. She told us that there weren't any tables for 2, even though there were 2 open tables.

Good Thai food, fast and friendly service, decent prices. We ate in the pub - plenty of atmosphere - the restuarant upstairs looked a little clinical but good if you want somewhere quieter. The menu is almost entirely Thai but one of my two friends did order fish and chips which looked fine and he enjoyed it. The Shiraz was fine, better than the average pub wine. My friends seemed to enjoy the Pinot and Old Speckled Hen. Cheap for London. I don't think you can get burgers here. Anyway you'd be mad to order one with decent Thai food on offer. I'd been here before and hope to return before too long.

First and last time at this place, we paid over the top for drinks and ordered food, we've now been waiting over an hour for a burger, how hard can that be? Nice to have footie to watch while you're waiting for your food

Went for some drinks and food. Ordered on the app after waiting 10 minutes for table service. I then was told off for using the app. And told to wait for the waitress. By this point I just wanted a drink. Another 5 minutes and drinks eventually turned up. The rude woman then returned to take our food order. She shouldn’t have turned up for her shift if that’s the attitude she’s going to have towards customers. We then also have a surprise tip enforced on us which as paid against our will. We decided to not stay for more drinks because of the poor service. Wouldn’t recommend.

If you consider yourself a Guinness lover, let me tell you my friend, I have covered. Order at the bar a pint of two, perfectly poured for you. Surrounded my Guinness memorabilia you will find, A Guinness pub that will blow your mind. Full of locals and staff that is kind, And a thai restaurant perfect to dine. Get food from upstairs, they’ll bring it down, And a perfectly poured Guinness, no need to frown. I would argue it’s one of the best in town, So much you will feel like a king, just missing the crown.

This looks like an old fashioned pub on the exterior, however, once you go in there is a Thai Restaurant upstairs. One moment you are sitting in a typical pub sipping on a pint and the next minute there's someone getting special fried rice waited to them on the next table. The food is absolutely amazing, I have never tasted Thai food as good as this before. All the staff are very friendly, this is a great location if you are simply passing by, or if your staying locally and want a change up from the typical steamed burger and chips from your hotel. The next time I am staying in this area I will be dining here instead of the hotel restaurant. Keep up the good work, thanks and see you soon.

런던 3일차, 제일 맛있는 볶음밥이었음. 런던에서 먹었던 식사 중에 제일 식사 같았고, 매콤한 음식이 아주 맛있었음. 스테이크는 좀 많이 익어서 질겼음. 팟타이나 쌀국수를 먹을 걸.. 1층은 아주 핫한 분위기, 풋볼을 볼 수 있는 좋은 펍 같았고, 펍에서 맥주를 구매해서 2층으로 올라와서 식사와 함께 먹을 수도 있음. 혹은 반대로 2층에서 음식을 주문하고 1층에서 즐길 수도 있음.

Terrific hole-in-the-wall type bar I happened to stumble upon while searching for somewhere to watch the football/soccer. Guinness only £5.20 a pint and a great pint at that. Highly recommended.

Good and solid choice for pub atmosphere and/or tasty Thai food or Fish & Chips. The food is fresh and very tasty. I did have the warmest pint of beer ever but I just assume it a 'one off' and keep the 5 stars.

Great pub..want sure about going in as it didn't look much from the outside but it was fantastic. Good selection of beers and a great atmosphere. We didn't eat here but the food looked good and I'll definitely be returning and eating here next time

Lovely little Irish 'backstreet boozer' with a great Thai restaurant above.

🚇 Lambeth North 🍺 £5.10 Pravha ❤️ A traditional old school Lambeth boozer where Ireland meets Thailand. . This pub is just a short walk from either Lambeth North or Waterloo stations and sits on busy Westminster Bridge Road. . This boozer has an imposing frontage which stands out from the new buildings that surround it. If you look closely you can see the Trumans eagle, a clear sign of a well built pub. . Inside the decor is as traditional as it gets, the walls are littered with Irish memorabilia and there is a great neighbourhood/local feel to the place. At the back is a small courtyard type beer garden which is a great sun-trap. . I was with my son and we plotted up on a poser table near the bar and watched a bit of the Wales v Italy six nations match, the horse racing was on another telly which was been monitored closely by some of the Irish punters. The atmosphere was great and there was a balanced mix of young and old in here, a key sign for a good pub. . The beer was good, my pint was a bit lively, I refrained from asking for a wafer to go with it. There is Thai food served upstairs which is highly recommended and the reviews are very favourable. . In and around Waterloo station there are some really top drawer pubs, The Crown & Cushion is up there with the best of them. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 19/03/22

We were on vacation and wanted to try a decnt pub neqr our hotel.. crown and cushion was good.. lovely place.. also they had thai food served served upstairs which was great..

Visited the restaurant above the pub with our adult children, there were 6 in our group. We each had an Asian side and main, there was really good choice. and everything was amazing. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. This restaurant is very good value for money. You get your drinks from the pub downstairs, their prices are also good for London but not a great selection of white wines.

2층에 태국 음식점 다녀왔습니다. 팟타이, 볶음밥 먹었는데 아주 맛있습니다. 어중간한 영국식당 가서 5~6만원씩 주고 먹은것보다 훨씬 좋았습니다.

Real old school boozer, with cheap ale, humorous staff and well located with two underground train stations nearby. Didn't try the food, so can't comment on it. The South African barmaid had all the customers in stitches, from laughing.

Nice local pub with a funny combination with a asian restaurant on top. You can order up there and they bring the food down. Seems to be frequented more by locals than tourists.

Larb was a fulfilled trustfall. You expect sharp possible fishy flavour on approach but it softens out when you eat it. Very expensive tho for what it is. Masaman curry was not great and tasted like regular yellow curry. Not nutty enough.

I enjoyed a lovely Thai meal at the Crown and Cushion. The restaurant is above the pub, small but very busy, so I recommend booking a table. We shared a mixed hot starter dish which was very good. I had Padt Thai with prawns which was delicious. My friend had the green curry which she thought was a bit thin. We greedily had banana fritter with ice cream to finish - I suggest you share one portion between two as it is a large portion! The staff were friendly. It was very good value for money.

Kind of split about how to feel about this one. The food was amazing but the wait for it (30 minutes) alongside the cleanliness of the building is in question. There were a few odd stains and the toilets were slightly messy but other than that things were ok I guess. The server was very kind and didn't rush us at all despite the group of people I was with taking up a large amount of space in the restaurant. If you're just looking for a quick bite to eat there's no issue with it though.

Best traditional pub and Thai restaurant in the area. I regularly visit for the best priced beers and ciders in London and the Thai restaurant located upstairs. Sport shown too. Whether you’re a local or tourist visiting London, make sure you stop here. 10/10 as always. Child and dog friendly. Gluten free and vegan options too.

Pub carino con buona selezione di birre. Molto interessante il ristorante a cui possono accedere anche i bambini. Ampia scelta di piatti tailandesi e laotiani ben eseguiti. Non manca il classico menù da pub (fish and chips, hamburger, ...). Carissima l'acqua in bottiglia.
