Stopped on my way to Wembley. Great traditional pub. Mick the landlord and his staff was really hospital and the clientele were really friendly. I will definitely be going back.

Stopped in for a drink on route to destination. Service was good a polite. The fire was burning in the fire place, which you don't see much of nowadays, but I love that.

Walked in, walked back out. Place is grimey, full of mould and water stained walls. Smells foosty, wouldn’t return 🤢

Attended a freinds wake here.... everyone was freindly ... place was clean ... food was great not sure if the crown supplied it or not ... beer garden was very nice

Just popped in as one restaurant we went to was so rude and abrupt, so we left, but the impression we received and excellent customer service was second to none. Would've stayed longer, but don't do any food. Which is a shame. Keep up the good work.

Easter Friday beer up by 40p a pint on ale overnight, Pride and Rebellion undrinkable. Had a Rum instead. All locals drinking larger or Guinness. The real ale was so bad that the bar person warned customers about it.

Came here with my mates who drink alcohol. They had a great time and enjoyed the alcoholic drinks available. First time visiting and I love the beams on the ceiling which gave it an old authentic pub feel. It was a very nice, cosy and lively atmosphere in there. People very having a laugh and enjoying themselves. I had a regular soft drink and a lovely serving of chips which were really crispy and well cooked. Lots of delicious meals on the menu. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would return her again.

Few beers in Cowley. Not been in this pub for some years now. Lovely pub, well decorated and was made to feel welcomed. Serve a great pint as well.

Bar tender was lovely, very polite and helpful. Down side was food. We called before going and was told they serve food from 5pm. We waited until 5.30 with 2 hungry under 5 year olds and no one turned up. The bar tender tried to contact the chef but had no response. Bar side was nice, food is unreliable.

Was my local before I moved. Often revisit and stay at the fabulous hotel. Beer has always been good and the staff are a credit to the hospitality business. Couldn't find fault with the place.

Which is the Korma. 30 minutes late given 45 minutes from order time. NO card machine do they not follow Covid guidelines? No apology for being late. Have had good service in the past but disappointed friends have told me that many have been waiting for service

I have been coming to The Crown for years and recently I came to the pub with my friends who are Asian and wanted to try the new Punjabi food there. The food was delicious and they had told me that it tasted like authentic Punjabi food and were very impressed by it, as well as the service from the waitress that served us. The food came on time and was still hot and yummm! However, whilst we were waiting for the food, there were screaming children running around the place and the atmosphere of the pub brought the evening down. We came to try some nice food but had our evening ruined by the condition of the pub and the uncontrollable screaming. We will definitely get the food from here again but next we will be getting a takeaway!!!!!!

I came to try the Indian food in this pub. My family and I really enjoyed the lovely Indian food. But I’m very disappointed with the bar staff. No bar staff was at the bar but they were sitting down talking among themselves. . I will definitely order a takeaway from S E Punjabi Flavours again. But will never come back to this pub again.

I frequently visit the crown in Cowley for various reasons and have never been disappointed Untill this evening . Firstly the bar staff were and always are AMAZING very polite,very attentive and they go above anD beyond . The kitchen on other hand .....I waited 2 hours for food I was passed on to a different waiter or waitress every time I asked how much longer .I was given no warning about the food wait even though I booked Days previous .I witnessed people coming in for takeaways and people arriving after us and being served before us .i was about to complain when I saw a family sat together with small children who looked very distressed and tired .i over heard they had been waiting for food for two hours for them and their children and not told about the wait .the waitress and waiter were so apologetic and very lovely .i witnessed one of the ladies approach the chef about the wait as the small children were very tired and hungry to hear him shout at her and say things that should not be said to a women then to slam the kitchen door at her , i then saw the lady who took my order also be very rude to the Same lady and her friend in front of these very hungry and tired children , Upon looking at these very upset children and Their parents I then realised one of the ladies (the blonde one ) is actually the lady who works there as the assistant manager and is the one who has always been sooo sweet and very professional.she looked so upset and concerned about her child ,on A closer look I realised the other lady was also a member of staff I had seen before working with the other lady (The blonde one ) together who also is very sweet . I have been in many times and served by these ladies together on shift and apart ,I will never eat there again and can’t imagine what is going through the kitchen peoples Minds to treat women and children like this and the worst bit is staff that actually work there Are treated this way .i am disappointed in the service I was given and upset to witness this ! The crown manger I believe is called mick he is a lovely man and his staff are amazing so go for a drink but avoid the kitchen !!!!!

Please avoid this dump at all costs..Like a schoolhouse kitchen.Im still waiting after 1 hour ..Ridiculous..Only two of us and table next to us was served and now they’ve gone.They came 15 mins AFTER us ...Rubbish Rubbish

This restaurant is in a separate dining room attached to a well-run traditional pub. I ordered the Karahi Chicken and it was probably the best and most flavoursome I have ever tasted. It is certainly up there with the specialist Karahi restaurants in west london. The nans were nothing short of delicious - light and thin. They are the ones you want to eat whilst they are still piping hot, then order more after they cool down. Other members of my party were most impressed and we are definitely returning. The lady serving the tables also lets you choose how hot you want your dishes.

I’ve been consuming Indian food probably 50 years at many varied restaurants. The food at the crown was certainly up there with the best I’ve tasted. Could highly recommend the Biriani. The staff were also friendly and attentive

The food is excellent we had the mixed kebab in naan bread and a korma with mushroom rice . Well worth another visit to taste the rest of the menu

Poped in for a pint and ended up having the nicest chicken biriani ive ever had. Fresh and perfectly spiced. Look forward to eating hear again

Since reopened the new Indian menu is great. Other food is available as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was excellent! Indian food better than any curry house near here ! Will be getting my takeaways from there

Need up dateing loos to small and dirty

Had my Birthday party Here on the 1st February, the landlord Mick was Amazing from the start! Moved all the room round for me even got me a speaker so I could plug my phone in and have my own music. The chef was lovely, produced a very tasty and lovely looking buffet! Would recommend the crown to anyone who is thinking of having a get together!

Quality local pup makes u feel right at home regular entertainment and events always going on and during the summer has a bouncy castle set up which i s ideal for young kids cant knock it from someone's who has been drinking there for the last 5 years

We visited the Crown in Cowley for lunch ....the food was 10/10 the staff were very polite ,welcoming and attentive .The fire was roaring making a beautiful setting for an afternoon lunch on a cold day winters day .The pub is clean and tidy .Will Defo visit again .10 out of 10 !!!!!

I’ve been going to The Crown in Cowley for many years. I’ve seen various managers come and go. However, it’s unlikely we’ll go anymore as we used to go for the bands on a Friday. Now, because one older person allegedly complained about the noise, the bands have been shunted to the small hall at the back of the pub. There is no atmosphere in there at all. The lights are very bright and, sadly, very few people actually sit out there and watch them. The last band I went to see there played to two people for three hours! Added to this, there are almost always small children running about in the main bar each week. We will now be looking for another pub. Shame though as we used to love it there.

Came here with my university society and they were really welcoming!!! Cannot recommend this place enough, cheap drinks and really nice staff. Very honest place and doesn't pretend to be something it's not. Unsurprisingly, I'm writing this while drunk, so it must have been a good night!!

Lovely English pub and restaurant with traditional black wood beam ceiling features and a bar decorated with lights (see picture). I just popped in as I was passing on a Monday afternoon. I really liked it. Google maps has (or had) this place noted as permanently closed. It is, however, most definitely open.

Popped in here for a few on a Friday evening and stayed for hours. The music was so good that we just couldn't leave. The pub has a great deal of character and is both clean and tidy. The staff are attentive and friendly and are a credit to the management. Give it a go as it's a great pub where you can hear great music and have a great evening.

Me alegra poder decir que esta vez el servicio recibido fue mejorado mucho. . . De hecho, iría tan lejos como para decir que fue excelente!A pesar de que el bar bastante ocupada me sirvieron rápidamente cuando llegó mi turno. Sólo había una persona que sirve (lo que significa esperar un poco) pero él vimos el bar sirve todo muy cuidadosamente, y en el orden correcto y era acogedor y amable. No puedo estar 100% seguro del nombre pero creo que pueden haber sido Clive?Así que, ¿por qué sólo 4 estrellas puede pedir? Bien, a pesar de la excepcional servicio pretendía para ver un partido que había en el momento. Aunque nunca se sugiere que es un bar de deportes hay banners deporte publicidad. Por desgracia, el deporte parece que sólo aparecen en un 1 televisión y no es el lugar más posicionado en visible. Pasé un par de bebidas, pero sentía que tenía que mover locales para obtener una mejor vista del deporte. Como digo, no es un bar de deportes así que si vas por algo más aparte de para ver deportes, basándome en mi experiencia más reciente, recomendaría la corona para unos tragos (no puedo comentar sobre la comida como nunca he comido allí).Sin duda llamar de nuevo.

The crown is what a pub should be. Compact, friendly and seving decent ale. The pub food is standard, but the attached restutant is excellent.

Fui allí con amigos, nos los estudiantes internacionales. Descubrimos este bar es para gente local, personas que envejecen especial, tan pronto como nos fuimos al bar. Pedimos unos tragos y disfrutar de nuestro tiempo intentamos. Sin embargo, no había mucho donde elegir (e. g. no tienen mi favorito mojito). Así que pedí una cerveza. Tienen un patio pequeño pero bastante oscuras. Nadie habló con nosotros como obviamente nos diferentes.

Definitely a great local pub! Good atmosphere, food in the new restaurant is great and the weekend entertainment brings a lot of people which is good. They even have a beer pong table now! Drink prices are good and the cocktail menu doesn't disappoint! Get yourselves there!

Visited the crown for the first time on the weekend for a party and catch up with friends, we arrived early for some food and a chat before the party. The food was amazing and great value. The staff could not do enough for us, kind, polite and professional was made to feel very welcome from arrival to the time we left. I cannot recommend this pub enough even if its for a party or just a catch up with friends for food absolutely amazing. We even had a go at a game of beer pong with the locals :)

This is the second time I have left The Crown due to poor service. The bar staff seem more intent on socializing with friends than serving customers. Even when someone does decide to serve they have no idea who they should be serving.

They put me to pay before eating.... I supose that they don't like my face and belive me a thief....

The Crown Cowley offered a delicious Roast Menu, and the Resturant was very bright and airy, the only down fall I experienced the kitchen sometimes is closed, so a bit of a hit and miss if you require food urgently, but overall the fare is delicious
