Good food, great service (from Gary), they let me take my left overs in a doggy bag!

I’ve had food here many of times and drinks also. The food is beautiful, proper comfort food at a good price! The service is always fast and staff are always polite, professional as well as cheerful. One server that always goes above and beyond is Billie. She’s definitely a credit to the place!

Lovely waitress called Charlotte ,was cared for very well. Food was great.

Never been to The Crown before, went today with a large group from Walk and Talk. Service was fast and efficient - particularly as we were a big group. Max, the Chef, produced a wonderful plate of food and I'd definitely recommend The Crown for a tasty weekend breakfast with great service in a cosy environment.

A large group of us visited the Crown in Eaton Socon for breakfast this morning and it was a most enjoyable experience. The service was exceptional, all the food arrived together and was very tasty. Compliments to the Manager Scott who was very accommodating and to the new chef who did a fantastic job. Highly recommended and will definitely be back again soon.

We went there this morning with the Walk and Talk group from St Neots and were treated royally by Scott and his team, who supplied 20 of us with a fabulous breakfast. The service and food was excellent. Definitely plan to go there again.

We went here for breakfast this morning as a group of 22 guys from the local Walk & Talk 4 Men community. We received and very warm welcome and had a really enjoyable breakfast. When the team realised we were a local volunteer group they made a real fuss of us all. Staff very super friendly and a special shout out to Scott the manager who took the time to talk to us and engage with the group. Highly recommend this pub. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to Scott and the team.

Five of us met for lunch as we do a couple of times a year at The Crown - it’s about half way for each family to meet ‘in the middle’. We all enjoyed our food and drinks and wer looked after by Billie - impeccably efficient, caring and with a bubbly personality.

Fantastic food & service. From the moment we arrived we were treated like old friends. By far the best service we have had in years, the manager and her staff were polite, attentive and had a great sense of humour. Proper home cooked food elevated to a 5 star standard. From the Labyrinth Table

We took family, including two young grandchildren (7/9yrs) for a 1pm meal. The service was good and the food was excellent. The grandchildren even ventured into desserts and announced that they were the best they had had (and they have been out quite regularly!).

Lunchtime meal. Drink and food orders taken promptly and served quite quickly. Very tasty and well cooked. Prices good as well. Gary, who served us very polite and helpful.

A large group of 24 of us ate here for a pre wedding meal and we had a fantastic time. The food service was amazing, all orders correct and many compliments from friends and family. Special mention to Gary who worked so hard to make sure everything went smoothly. Guests also mentioned that breakfast was excellent too

Stayed at Premier Inn and ate at The Crown Inn which is virtually directly in front. Had evening meal and two breakfasts. Gary was really helpful and the food was just what we wanted for all the meals. Great atmosphere and what a good idea to twin with the Premier Inn.

Staying at the premier inn next door this pub is where breakfast is served, Absolutely lovely helpful staff, my server was Gary and he was friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble, the options for a vegan were enough for a filling breakfast, the cooked breakfast was fabulous, lovely sausages (quorn) Hash browns, mushrooms, beans and some bubble and squeak. Nice selection of bread too. Everything was lovely and clean and presented well. I'm here for two nights so looking forward to my breakfast tomorrow.

Staff were very helpful, friendly and keen to get things right for me as I have dairy milk intolerance. They have an iPad to give customers which can identify the meals that are safe for me and it gives details of additional food intolerance. Atmosphere was relaxed, ideal for families, food tasted very wholesome, well presented. Thank you Sue and colleague who looked after my needs so well. See you again! Terri

We had breakfast, both the food and service were great, we were staying at the adjoining premier inn and instead of the cooked food being buffet style it was ordered and delivered to the table which resulted in a much better experience Gary looked after us extremely well

We have just had a fantastic meal, everything was cooked perfectly. The service was very good, and Sue, who looked after us, was amazing. Very friendly and lovely. We will definitely be paying the Crown another visit.

Stopped for a meal by chance on our way home. Nice looking pub with beer garden, but we ate inside this oak-beamed building. We were greeted and served by Garry who asked about any allergies or food intolerances and seated. After a few minutes he asked if we wanted drinks, then brought them and later took our food order. This came within 10 minutes. Food was good, and not too expensive, so we had coffees and a pudding, which was also good. Got the bill soon after asking and I was pleased to see that the card machine did not ask me for a tip. A pub we would use again if passing as the right time.

Visited over a weekend, slightly by chance as staying in the hotel behind. On the Saturday had a lovely lunch. Shannon spent much time talking to us about the pub and it's history (ask about the ghost stories!!) Enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked in for Sunday lunch the next day. Gary gave great service! Fantastic "hidden gem".

A meeting of friends coming from different directions. Ample parking and plenty of tables with good room in the restaurant. Comfortable seating and nicely decorated restaurant tho certainly noticed some wear and tear in areas. Service was very good, particularly as we didn't all arrive timeously. Very understanding and accommodating to even enable a phone order whilst on route. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will meet here again I'm sure. Oh, and the food really good starters and mains was glorious. Mushrooms for starters. Pies of perfection and probably the best salad ever tasted. Well done. Would be a 5star review but for a slight overcook on puddings but that was corrected. Thanks for a great evening.

I went out for an evening meal with my girlfriend on Sunday and I am very pleased to say that our experiences were absolutely amazing! We had a Sunday roast dinner and it was gorgeous! The atmosphere was also very romantic and warm-welcoming, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and very helpful with our requirements. Because of our outstanding experiences, we will be definitely coming back to the pub again! Thank you so much to the staff for all their support and excellent hospitality!

Today we stopped for lunch. Food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Billie was fabulous and helped my mum when she had a dizzy turn. Cannot thank her enough. Facilities were clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend a stop here and will think twice before driving past in the future.

I found this to be such a quaint little spot, almost like a hidden gem. So grateful for the wonderful staff! The staff were amazingly accommodating, attentive, and thoughtful. We were visiting and new to the area (it was clear from our accents lol) and each staff member made polite conversation, asking if we needed recommendations on things from what to eat to where to shop and even sightsee. The food was perfectly cooked and drinks were on point! Props to the cook(s). Great experience and we will definitely come back next time we come into town!

I had breakfast here as I was staying at the Premier Inn next door. Very nice, friendly landlord. Returned for lunch and had a serviceable cheese toastie with excellent chips.

Very dirty place. Don't even serve coffee only horse piss. Glasses are dirty, full of marks. Staff is very grumpy. Avoid this place.

Absolutely brilliant birthday lunch for my Dad and our family and friends. Shannon and Emma were very friendly, welcoming, happy, and polite and even had knowledge of the history of the pub which was interesting. The food was excellent, all freshly home made and the service was seamless. We hadn't told them it was a birthday meal, but they heard us talking about it, and they brought out a beautiful 'Happy birthday' dessert plate with candles and a birthday card at the end of our meal. Never experienced such outstanding service before! I was really overwhelmed by their kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you so much 🙏❤️

We enjoyed a hearty lunch of lamb shank in gravy with a blanket of cheesey mash and veg. Delish! Service was excellent. The pub has a lovely friendly atmosphere and it was well used by locals. It's dog friendly too!

Unfortunately the Sunday roast had terrible roast potatoes and nearly raw vegetables. I've never seen such shrivelled roasties. Even if we were eating at 3pm the tiny little potatoes were nothing like a roast potato. There weren't many waitresses but they were very good and very pleasant. We wouldn't be going unfortunately as the staff are very good but over priced what we had.

I had a full English breakfast and it wasn’t very good. Spoons breakfast is much nicer. You were supposed to get hash browns with the breakfast but didn’t get them. Everything didn’t taste right, cheap. The coffee machine wasn’t working and they didn’t have orange juice. The atmosphere was awkward and thought staff were miserable. Unfortunately won’t be going back there

We had Sunday roast it wasn’t enjoyable I had trio of meats and the pork was really tough and chewy. We usually stop here for a meal but think we will try somewhere else now.

My wife and I went for an anniversary dinner. We were made to feel very special by the staff. The food and service was excellent. It made a very soecial day even more special.. thank you

Managed by a bunch of Brits who have no business being in the hospitality industry. DISGRACEFUL ATTITUDE and ruined our trip to St. Neots. Won't be going there again

Had a delicious roast here yesterday. Initially things were very quiet (but we had arrived pretty early at only 12!) and then quickly filled up with a nice family atmosphere. Very tasty food - definitely at the better end of usual pub-standard - well done and thanks!

Wonderful little roadside pub snugged up to a travel hotel. Typical-ish pub grub which is exactly what you want after a long drive, with all the staples and a few highlights. Share the baked Camembert to start, the jams and bread in tow are absolutely delicious. The entrees are hearty and well seasoned and the beers are served at the appropriate temperature. The dining area and bar are clean and inviting, the restrooms are well tended, and should there be a sunny day the patio interior and exterior offer plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air. The sticky toffee pudding was tasty! But would have been better had we selected ice cream over custard. You need a cold contrast to a hot desert, and custard is just melted creme brulee. Kim would disagree but then again she doesn’t like chicken and waffles, which tells me she doesn’t understand how tastebuds work.. but she is nice and kept our drinks full so we give her a pass. Shannon on the other hand loves a delicious chicken and waffles which is why we excused the fact that she doesn’t understand cold ice cream and hot pudding combos.. Billie has never tried chicken and waffles, but she wants to because she believes like with all other American things, there is hope. The service was excellent and we felt very welcome by all the staff. We will return, hopefully to find fried chicken and waffles along side cod and chips on their plentiful menu.

Had a lovely lunch at the crown on Mon 10th June. We had fish and chips and it was probably the best fish we had had in a long time. The batter was light and crisp, the rest of the plate was really appetising. The service was efficient and friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back

We stayed next door at our 4th Premier Inn and ventured to The Crown for our first dinner. OUTSTANDING. So much so that after a busy day at RAF bases, catching the fighters, we knew full well to leave early to get there before it got busy. We sat in the Pub section, both having the Aspall Cider (delicious) and 2 different burgers. Decision made, back for our last night and then breakfast in the morning. By the way, if yo are tall (over 6' or 183cms) DUCK. Low beams.. Hats off to Emma, Shannon and the rest of the great staff.

Visited on a Bank Holiday Monday. Appeared they were probably lacking staff by the time we waited for food after ordering. Meal was OK apart from the green veg. Seemed a bit limp and over cooked.

Very welcoming and helpful *7including our dog. I had the smothered chicken which was delicious but I was very disappointed that my plate was cold which meant that my chips and onion rings were cold really quickly. The meat was in a cast iron pan so was lovely and hot. There was only a small piece of salad so could this be served in a separate dish so that the plate can be warmed? Next time I will ask for a warm plate.
