The Crossing Coffee Bar in Gateshead

Popped in whilst walking my dog. Staff were unfriendly and not at all helpful. No evidence of any stotties whatsoever was just told to look at the sandwiches in the fridge. No obvious menu to look at just the main board. Left without ordering

The stotties are a taste sensation! Previous reviews mention how friendly the staff are, but I think that’s if you know the score. It’s the norm to order and pay first here which left us feeling under pressure the first time as there’s only one menu board for everyone. We knew the score the second time and it was smoother. Staff are lovely, but it is the food that makes this stand out! Stotties are unreal. I can’t really fault the place other than explaining to newbies how it kind of sets up. I also feel that it would be better for tips etc if people were billed at the end of their meal, just an idea.

Always an amazing welcome from the staff. Warm and friendly. The food is excellent and the coffee is always spot on. Would highly recommended

Great little cafe, staff were above & beyond friendly and showed legitimate interest in where I had been for a ride and made conversation. Would certainly return, location is perfect as a passing place to stop. A very well done to this business for ticking the boxes

Great place to visit. Very nice bacon sandwich for breakfast and nice hot coffee, also do takeaway food and drinks. Pet friendly too!

A fantastic venue tucked away on the edge of Blaydon and providing great refreshments for local businesses, folk passing by and dog walkers. Also serving Pilgrim’s coffee (from Holy Island) and delicious tray bakes. For an al fresco lunch break or a grab and go coffee, look no further!
