Great pub! Really friendly place and atmosphere

What a great pub. Dropped in with 2 old friends and we were made to feel very welcome by the landlord, Chin (hope I've spelt that right). Good range of tap beers on offer and the Jerk fries were delicious. Beer garden out the back was a nice sun trap as well. As we were leaving the quiz night was in full swing and the bar was crowded. We'll be back as only a short walk from East Croydon station.

Our local pub. We are not regulars but came here quite a few times with our baby son and with friends. Beer is always great, staff is lovely. Haven’t had a chance to try to food yet but will do soon. It’s dog friendly too (it has two beer gardens). We do grief the vivid blue colour. It was such a nice vibe. The white is quite ordinary.

Here for the Euros Semis 2024 - amazing food, best value drinks and complimentary snacks during the game. Food is better than boxpark, without a doubt

What a great atmosphere this lovely pub provides. Staff were excellent and joined in with the live music and karaoke when I was present. Limited real ale (bottles only) but plenty of lager alternatives. Other patrons were approachable and very amicable just like the staff. An oasis when required!

Having walked by this pub many times before  venturing in, I was surprised to find it to be much busier inside than I expected. All the tables were taken, and there were no seats at the bar. Well, perhaps, it shouldn’t have been surprising as it was after all a Friday at around 6pm. I ordered a pint and a burger & chips and fell into a conversation with a regular patron while waiting for the food to arrive. When it did, I managed to get a seat at the bar and had a remarkably satisfying meal. Overall, I would describe this pub, which is not large, as being a cozy, tidy and friendly establishment, an assessment confirmed on a second visit several weeks later. It's worth a visit if you are in the area. Quiz night is on Wednesdays starting around 7:30 - 8pm.

Hadn't been in for a few months and stopped in recently for a cold cider on tap. The vibe was great and the pub has really evolved. I look forward to going back and trying the delicious looking food. Great addition to Croydon and bringing something different

I haven't been to The Cricketers in Addiscombe Road since I've rarely entered the premises, but I would really love it if I enjoyed the Food, Service and Atmosphere the restaurant has to offer though!

Made to feel welcome by the beautiful woman serving drinks. Didn't have the food ordered, but provided a more expensive dish at no extra cost by the very cool chef. (Jerk chicken gooood) Very impressed. My friend and I, shall return.

The food is fantastic and the staff are lovely, welcoming and kind. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

Cutest and cosiest pub in South London, very well maintained and squeaky clean, not like many other pubs where hygiene is subpar. Well done Chin!! Kudos to the sweet Chère who was very attentive, helpful and not going the extra mile, going the extra light year.

Amazing place for food and drinks

Lovely local pub, a new chef has come and brought some fantastic recipes. The tacos are fantastic. You have to try the jalapeño tartar sauce!

Finally got time to try here on a wet and windy night. The warm, friendly welcome from Aisha(?) more than made up for the lousy weather. A lovely rum and coke was served up in a good sized glass. My mate was happy with his bottled cider. It was a karaoke night and the good humoured drinkers joined in with gusto. In the near future there will be food of an evening. Cosy ambience. Wood panelling that's not dark adds to the cosiness. Good window bay seats with cushions. Overall a very good experience and will be back in the near future and perhaps give the food a try. Well done all involved.

Very traditional , cute and quaint place to visit. The owners super friendly. Great place to spend your days off drinking cold drinks of your choice with friends and family. If you want Tranquility within big town this is your place.

Last time we visited, most of the beers had run out. The few that hadn't tasted strongly of cleaning solution. Ended up having to have a bottle in the end. It's a shame, was rooting for these guys to survive lockdown- they carried out a lovely refit when Covid hit. We'd had a few pleasant pints since then. However, it seems like there's a lack of ability to carry out the basic housekeeping needed to run a pub. The "beer garden" at the rear was a dank little concrete area with a carpet of broken glass and rusting furniture. A bit post-apocalyptic, but not in a cool way. I'd say "I hope that this was a one-off", but it was a sufficiently awkward and unpleasant experience that I'm not sure we'll go back.

Popped in a couple of weeks ago and promised to come back when they were doing food. Very pleased that we did. Excellent jerk chicken and spinach rice that was amazing. The guv’nor Chin is a real character and loves a chat. This pub should be a real benefit to the community as everyone is welcome and a good local is getting harder to find these days.

Best papadoms in this solar system. Perfect crisp, perfect flavor. Nice and warm with the perfect hint of spice.

Make up your mind because on Google you are open but I have tried multiple times across the last month to get in but it's always closed .. and -of course- no notice of any kind on the door about any permanent closure

Attended today for father's Day lunch, the food was sensational. The food freshly cooked. Seabass calloloo and cabbage. My husband loved the jerk chicken with rice and peas. Another friend had oxtail and rice and piece, and other had wings and chips. Something for everyone. Accomodating staff and great service, recommend, if you have a large party you let them know they will extend menu choices.

Amazing local pub with a small back garden, great food! If you want a family friendly / work friendly place this is for you. Prices are good too and the cocktails are brill too

Happened to pop in during happy hour today. The cocktails were delicious, and the staff were friendly and really helpful! We were excited about the new menu, so ordered jerk chicken and a side of fried plantain. The food was absolutely amazing and we’ll definitely be going back. Highly recommend!

This place has an austere and DIY charm to it, last time I visited it was quite cold inside. Could be a lot cosier if they just whacked the heating on!

The shower rack was broken, the light was hanging out and the shower door was faulty. But apart from these issues, it wasn't the worst place I have stayed. I did self-check-in as it was after 8 pm. I think 3 stars is fair. Room 108

Best pub food in Croydon, one of the best bars (the best that isn't overpriced), 2-4-1 cocktails. I'm just annoyed I didn't realise sooner that this place had improved so much since my last visit 15 years ago!

Great food, nice cocktails, friendly staff. We had happy hour cocktails and food from the gyros menu. Both delicious and excellent value - will definitely come back. We were inside but there is also a garden with seats under an awning.

Pleasantly surprised by this little tram side pub. Had little to no expectations by the recently painted bright blue facade. Honest welcome, good staff and well priced pints. Haven't tried the food yet but will definitely be back.

A very atmospheric pub if you're looking for a relaxed night out.

Great pub, spacious beer garden at the back with colourful walls & more than half covered for rainier days. Good selection of drinks including 2-4-1 cocktails in happy hour. Kitchen is currently home to Mikos Gyros. Excellent idea for pub food & includes vegan options. Service couldn't have been better, staff hugely helpful and lovely to deal with.

Recently started going back to this place. They've had a bit of makeover and have got a new menu. Great outside seating, friendly staff and decent beer selection.

Nice pub, with a decent rear garden and lovely staff (very friendly and fun greek waitress). We were in 4 people and had beavertown Gamma ray lagers and pinot grigio wine for drinks. Their food was tasty and big portions. The food options were basically kebabs, but not sure this is a COVID arrangement or if kebab is their normal kitchen service. Overall recommended.

Very nice pub, located 1 min walking from the tram stop. The back garden it’s large to accommodate groups of 4 or 6. The service it’s very quick and good. I had an issue with my bill, but I was refunded immediately. Initially, the refund didn’t go through the card reader and the manager came personally to be sure we had a cash refund. Outstanding and polite service.

Nice one.. in the middle of a pandemic, literally only a couple of people are in the pub, all dead, inside and outside... but your ""bartender"" forgets my drink. That's really something. Good luck with this pub...
