Lovely place for a pint or two or more. Friendly and helpful bar staff. Always had a great time when I have visited. Great atmosphere. One of the most affordable places to drink and not as loud as the last post 👍🏾 kid friendly.

I stopped in to see Lisa Everton sing and had a great time. Friendly staff and nice prices. I didn't have any food so can't comment on this.

Bar staff only pay attention to the locals Stood at bar we 2 friends for 15min. Staff had to finish conversation about his new doberman dog (landlord) And his other pub in Sawley he spoke about before we was served. DON'T GO IF YOU CAN HELP IT

Only went in once. Landlady was pretty desperate in telling us that the reputation is good now.???? Scruffy dirty pub. Dead flies in the window's . Filfthy carpets AWFUL PLACE 😖. WON'T BE GOING BACK

We went as a group and had a good night. Cheap drinks, The staff are friendly and it’s open till late.

Surprisingly busy at 6:30 on a Tuesday, though we walked in to be greeted by 2 of the many knuckle-dragging clientele squaring up to knock seven shades out of each other. Took one look at the barebones interior and quickly went elsewhere!

It was a family birthday, the food and service were fantastic.

since being taken over by Mark the place has really turned around, we never used to go however now they have special evenings and an amazing Jamaican Sunday lunch we visit regular and the food is amazing!

Fantastic jamaican home cooking on the menu at a price where you can eat out without breaking the bank. Friendly Landlord and staff who go the extra mile to make sure you feel welcome. Sunday dinner was fabulous and the bar prices were also affordable. Overall my wife and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and home cooked food. Despite a 40 minute drive we will definitely be coming back.

£4 to park for 20 minutes, utter rip off!

The food was great with good portion sizes. My daughter and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and had the escovitch fish, prawns, cabbage, sweetcorn, carrots, plantain with rice and peas. Trevor and all of his staff were very welcoming, friendly and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely be returning to eat and 'party' at one of the themed events. Thank you for an enjoyable time.

I had rice and peas with stewed chicken hands down the best iv had in a long time also had a really fresh crispy salad. Truly amazing food and reasonable price I'm definitely good back asap

Very disappointing, food was bland, service slow and presentation a mess on a plate, and not much for the price. We arrived at 12:40 and nothing was set up, no table service or utensils available, by the time we found condiments, cutlery and napkins food was cold. Really expected something new and exciting, even the atmosphere was mournful. Love Jamaican food but this was just tasteless. But what really made it worse experience ever in a restaurant/diner when someone walked into the serving area smoking, as he was behind the counter I presume he worked there. A star is actually quite generous but I doubt we will go back when there are plenty of tastier venues nearby and better value for money.

Had the Jamaican curry mutton with rice and peas and steamed veg which cost £8.50 which is on the high side. Service was slow and overly complicated with having to order food and drinks separately. It then took a long time to wait for service for drinks. It wasn't busy when we went. My friends portion size was smaller than mine which was a bit awkward so I ended up sharing some of mine. The toilets need some work as they were dirty, with missing lid on toilet cistern and hole in wall. Atmosphere was friendly.

Went for a breakfast here the other day - absolutely fantastic! The food on the new Jamaican menu smells delicious too, will be trying that next. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, quality food. Good job Trevor and team!

Dropped yesterday and they only had basic beers (fosters and john Smith’s etc) on tap, had no ales even though the handles are available. Place stunk like a slow post office full of pensioners marinating in their own urine.

Unfortunately this will not last long, no atmosphere, no customers, no clear direction and no idea. What a shame.

Completely turned around since new ownership. Great night out :)

Very bad customer service skills. Member of staff poured away a pint which was still being drank and we watched her do it. When confronted she denied it and got very aggressive screaming and shouting. To say we're all regular customers and they wouldn't make money of it wasn't for us and our friends all over beeston they have proved how much they don't care and how bloody rude they are. Defiantly avoid!!!

Called in here on a Saturday lunchtime. The had live football on. A large open plan pub with pool table and games area.
