Certainly not the quickest chippy, fairly quiet, but still a fair wait. Friendly approachable staff. While food was reasonable and edible Certainly not the greatest, but good enough for the price

First of all the positives, the staff were friendly and polite, genuinely appeared happy to serve and the chips were pretty good, not too greasy, light and fluffy. The fish wasn't great though, I was very disappointed. It was overcooked and had gone a bit dry, like cotton wool and the batter was greasy, thick and greasy. For the first time in my life I couldn't finish the two fish I got. It wasn't particularly quick to get served (call ahead and place your order) and the waiting area is pretty tired and grotty. I really wanted to like this more, but it was not great. Sorry, I really hope you get better.

Nothing to write home about it looked good with a nice portion of fish but dig into it try and find the fish it was so thin that if it could be put on a roll Andrex could have produced it. It was buried in greasy batter. The chips were reheated chips that were very dry on the plus side. The mushy peas were good and moist,

No organisation at all! People coming in and ordering with no clue what order or anything. Someone come I. To order a fish and chips and came in at 6pm and finally left at 6:45 with his portion of fish and chips, even tho I counted 6 cooked fish sitting waiting. Not great at all, the only way this place I. Is business is due to the fact the town has no options available.

Stopped by on holiday for tea & ordered a double fish & cockles. Was told they didn't do cockles anymore - no problem, I just had the double fish. The staff were not very pleasant & I was overcharged. Was meant to be £11 and got charged £13.50. I never thought to question as the staff member was being rude and I just wanted to eat & get home. Only realised afterwards that I was charged for the cockles which they didn't have. Felt like I was being charged a tourist tax as they were pleasant with the locals that came in. Everyone else I met in Campbeltown was lovely - locals & business owners. Just a shame my visit was tainted here. The food was actually really nice, but the service means I unfortunately won't be returning.

Had fish and chips and burger and chips. Was very nice. Busy place but didn't wait very long before we got served.

The staff are so friendly and professional and the food is amazing. Plus great prices especially now a days since everything usually costs a fortune. Not too long to wait either. Would recommend. Thank you

Ordered a chicken nuggets and curry sauce and chips and tomato sauce, got chicken nuggets and tomato sauce and chicken nuggets and curry sauce. Told them the chicken nuggets and tomato sauce was wrong still gave me chicken nuggets and chips with red sauce. Order was suppost to be £7 and ended up being £9.60

We had fish and chips to take home. It was very good! Nothing to complain about! It is good you have double fish and chips option (as I share chips with a kid but want a whole fish!)

We came here spontaneously today and ordered some foods (fish n chips + burger). The staff was friendly and the price very cheap. However, the food was the worst food I had ever seen. We had to throw it away. The quality sucks - some of the chips were raw, the fish tasted like swimming in old oil and the meat on the burger looked inedible and smells rancid. I advise everyone not to buy food here. Very embarrassing to offer such food in a seaside town. We are shocked. Never again.

Been there 3 times and two of those times the food was decent the third time not so much. So you've a 2 out 3 chance of getting something decent.

First time we've visited although in Campbeltown regularly. Have learned it's better to phone order through first. They only take cash. Food is made to order. Very fresh. Tasty! Reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly

Nice freshly cooked fish supper, good portion, reasonably priced. Only criticism is that they don't take card payments. Only cash accepted for some strange reason.

Best fish and chips I had while in Scotland. Fridge wasn't working when we were there but the staff was kind enough to go to the next door Bangladeshi restaurant (which looks amazing) to get us some cold drinks so that we could enjoy our meal! - Fernando from Canada

It's a chippy! but a good one, very popular and great value. Sadly the chips have been changed since writing this review and they are now quite poor. Shame

Hit or a miss , order ahead as it takes sooo long for your order as everything made to order even during peak times.

We have flats above the whisky mac's, I would get several orders of fish and chips. They will deep fry anything for you. The guys here are truly amazing. Try the black pudding it's awesome. Haven't been back in couple years but Cambelltown is our home. Love you guys at the crew. Even during the pandemic they managed to still take orders. Thank you all so much.

Omg the fish and chips here are so good it only took like 2 seconds for me to get my large chips. Definitely comming back here

Great chippy, food is excellent & staff polite. You can phone an order on ahead and there is sometimes a delivery service.

Lovely friendly service, curry sauce was the best chipshop sauce I've tasted.

Very poor fish soggy half the chips we're burnt.

Cold, odd polystyrene chips. I saw things getting heated up in a microwave.

Thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips...fancied the fritters too. Just no room for them xxx

Very pleasant staff. Delicious food, all cooked freshly to order. Worth the 10 minute wait. Only take cash but there’s a machine opposite. We visited several times during our holidays.

When I visit Campbeltown I always go to The Crew. The staff are pleasant and friendly and the food is freshly cooked and very tasty.

Was ok had a lot better and also had a lot worse

3 Fish & Chips and Steak Pie Supper. Best we have ever tasted in Scotland. As a fish and chip lover this was the far superior ....even in all the restaurants in Campbeltown and Islay. Well done. We loved it! 💓 we will be back in. "Stirling Crew" 🤣

Fish was very good but the chips were not great

Food is always bin spot on but I called in an order to save waiting out side I ordered a double sausage supper was told to wait 20 mins to arrive at this time to be told il have to wait behind a large queue in a rude attitude in front of lots of customers not what I wanted to be served like thanks but no thanks .

This is by far the worst fish and chip shop I have ever been in. They are unorganised waited half hour for meal the fish was rank, tastless and full of bones the chips were disgusting. For a Coastal village you expect decent standards like Oban for example but this is very dissappointing. Myself Wife and kids felt ill after eating.

Very lucky to get one chip I could eat from the supper I got. Was thinking about going back with it, fish ok, but the chips were terrible, worst I've had from any chip shop for as long as I can remember, VERY DISAPPOINTED.

BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN Campbelltown!! The chicken is unbelievable and the hot wing/ chicken strips are outrageous! The guys behind the counter are super friendly and easy to talk to while you wait.

Chips ok, fish overcooked and bones in it, even the seagulls wouldn't touch it, sorry but have to be truthful.

The chips are excellent with potatoes that have flavour, not over greasy & good size portions

A very busy place, so had about 15 minutes to wait, but it was well worth it for our freshly fried fish suppers. Reasonably priced as well, so no qualms in giving it our recommendation.

Unfortunately! Campbelltown doesn't have that many restaurants, in our wander around the town center streets, we only saw two Indian & one Chinese.. luckily we stumbled across this brilliant Chip Shop .. Nice friendly staff .. The double fish & Chips was the ideal meal.. while sitting on a nearby bench & looking out to sea . Perfect! This place is highly recommended!

Sorry but this had to be the worst fish and chips ever. 4 Adults 2 children and we all thought the same . 3 fish n chips 3 white puddings n chips all got thrown in the bin.the chips were dry like frozen chips.the fish and white had been over cooked in oil that tasted burnt.not to mention the fish being full of bones.

This is a great chippy. All the portions are a good size and the fish was amazing. It may be a thing all over Scotland but being from further south I lover the way things were ordered as a 'supper' so a sausage supper is sausage and chips etc. A supper is a good size for an adult to enjoy. The food was well cooked and the service was good with friendly staff even though I was making the ordering process tricky.

Fresh food very tasty. If you want to try typical dish from Scotland is the best place to try for example fish&chips. No place to sit just buy and go.

Bistro s chutným fisch & chips, bez možnosti se posadit a zakoupené jídlo sníst. Určitě by bylo dobré aby personál někdo proškolil co je hygiena v gastronomii.

Food was good tho my friend ordered a double fish supper and the guy said he had no double fish so gave him a single fish supper and a single fish 🤤 and that was £1 dearer than the double lol
