The Crescent Hotel in Scarborough

This is a very charming and quiet hotel. It's old and dated but that's the typical Scarborough experience. I liked that breakfast starts 7:30am so I was able to eat before work. My only complaint is the often long wait to talk to someone at reception.

Stayed here recently while on a weekend retreat at Samye Dzong, just across the road through a small pretty park. Hotel was wonderful, central location, warm, comfortable rooms, loads of hot water, and amazing, thoughtful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, offering to do bar meals in residents sitting room, accommodating guests with a dog, every member of staff made sure guests were treated as individuals and delivered a personal service. Breakfasts were generous, tasty and very well priced and the bar meals were also very good. I think this hotel delivers excellent, personalized service, at great prices, in a very central location. Thanks to all the wonderful staff and looking forward to my next stay.

Invited to a diamond wedding of relatives to partake of a Sunday 3 course meal. The whole meal was superb with very good service.

Another super weekend of music at the Crescent Hotel! Thurs eve was Blues with the wonderful Alastair James, Friday was Open Mic night, Saturday was Nils' (Events&Bar Manager) 40th Birthday with a great Oasis tribute band and DJ sets until 3am and then tonight we listened to the talented singer&guitarist, Jack Robertson, who covers songs from Dylan to the Arctic Monkeys. The bar staff are endlessly chirpy, efficient and friendly. Thanks all. I'm looking forward to events such as Rocky Horror, Punk Rock and Swing Nights as well as the regular Blues night.......

Spent 3 nights here recently with my partner. Was a beautiful room, very clean and well maintained. Staff were lovely, friendly and so helpful. The included breakfast was delicious with so many options. Right between town centre and the beach, perfect for exploring without wearing yourself out.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a fantastic evening. The live music was a highlight of the nights. The bands was incredibly talented, and their performance created a lively yet relaxed vibe that perfectly complemented the setting. It’s not every day you find a place where the music enhances the experience without overpowering it, Nils and Sadie ( The owners ) nailed it. The food was another standout. The menu offers a great variety of dishes. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just some delicious bites to accompany your drinks. Speaking of drinks, the bar boasts an impressive selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. The bartenders clearly know their craft; each drink was mixed with care and tasted incredible. Whether you prefer classic cocktails or something more adventurous, you won’t be disappointed. Overall, The Crescent in Scarborough is the perfect spot for a night out. Ideal car parking permit system in place, just purchase from reception on arrival. Location only a few minutes walk into the centre or the Spa beach. All the staff were really kind and considerate, nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was huge and immaculate. Breakfast was beautiful, good selection, the cooked food was nice and hot.

Lovely Easter Sunday lunch with a special 5 course menu £29.95 inc a sorbet course and coffee/tea with chocolates. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We booked in advance and were given a table outside of the main restaurant so we could bring our dog with us. Highly recommended for a traditional Sunday lunch.

Popped in for a hot drink at the hotel, warm welcome, nicely decorated, handy for the town centre and the beach.
