The Crazy Hog Restaurant and Takeaway in Highland

Het gebouw zag er van buitenaf uit alsof het gesloten was, maar toen we dichterbij kwamen zagen we toch licht branden. En gelukkig zijn we naar binnen gegaan! We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen en hebben heerlijke burgers gegeten. We kozen voor een visburger en een burger met kip en bacon. Allebei super lekker! En de frietjes die je erbij krijgt zijn ook heerlijk en vers. Er stond een leuk muziekje aan en de ruimte was mooi ingericht. Vanbinnen is het dus een stuk gezelliger dan de buitenkant zou verwachten. Het restaurant heeft geen alcohol licentie, maar als je toch een biertje of wijntje wil drinken, dan kan je deze bij de supermarkt tegenover kopen en meenemen naar het restaurant. Echt een aanrader! We hebben hier een super vriendelijk ontvangst gekregen en de lekkerste burgers gegeten van onze hele reis door Schotland!

Easy to overlook, as so often in Great Britain. But really good service and in Germany the burgers are not as well. The burgers were big and tasted really delicious. Tank you!

So Crazy Hog is the only take away round here and they cater to the whole of Halkirk but I know people come from Thurso and all the surrounding villages to eat here. And for good reason. I've not eaten in the restaurant yet but I've had 2 take-aways so far and was very impressed with the food, the portions and the very friendly staff, and all at a price that doesn't hurt the wallet. I would highly reccomend the Crazy Hog and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I have eaten at the crazy hog in Halkirk a few times now and the food is out of this world. Portion sizes are really big. Staff will go out of way to make sure they can do everything possible to make your experience as pleasurable as possible. Prices are extremely reasonable great value for money you will leave this establishment wanting more can highly recommend

Went here for a takeaway one night. Great choice of burgers on the menu all using locally sourced produce. We chose a pork and apple burger and a beef burger. Both came beautifully prepared and really well cooked, not over cooked. Portions were excellent and we will definitely be back to tackle some of the other delights on the menu.Service was excellent ready at the time they said it would be.

Very pleased to have found somewhere so family friendly in the area. The menu has masses of choice as and portions are equally as generous - even the kids selection proved too much for our 9 year old. The pulled pork baguette was particularly tasty and everyone else enjoyed their burgers. The macaroni fritter was great, as were the sweet potato fries. The chance to bring your own bottle is a real bonus, but there is a good selection of soft drinks too. Cash preferred, though no ATM as yet in Halkirk.

Visited for the first time last night and had the carnivore hog which is basically a mixed grill it was absolutely lovely and the portion size was great. My wife had the Boar burger which was delicious.

Found online and decided to try while we were in the area. Absolutely fantastic food cooked perfectly. Definately 're commended

The burgers in this place are really good, very flavoursome and Huge! Completely full when I was finished. We ordered a few so when we picked them up it would have been good if they had been marked so we knew which was which. Would go back to Crazy Hog again.
