My son and I went for lunch. As we walked in staff were friendly and gave us information about drinks and food menu. Host was really bubbly. Great selection of food and had a lunch deal on. Food was really tasty and well presented. Would recommend to anyone. Staff was seen taking time to get to know customers which was lovely to see. A must for lunch or having hangover food.

Not good. Ordered truffle oil and parmesan fries, which were covered in cheap greasy cooking oil with a little sprinkle of parmesan, not even a hint of truffle oil. Then charged us same price for large wine and a half of Madri as they charged for large wine and pint of Madri. Wont be back

Food very disappointing, far too greasy! Music and clientele too loud and too noisy. Certainly not what we were expecting and not a bit like it looks on the website. We won’t be returning.

Arrive on time at 8pm no table ready nobody to greet the group new staff unable to answer where the menus are or how to order waited 1 hour 1/2 food out of stock had to go to till to order as after 1 hours nobody had come to the table. Food awful manager very helpful but the food service let it down big time very disappointed with the place won’t be recommending or going again. Also drinks out of stock and shocking service felt sorry for young staff on bar . To be honest manager was lovely sat with us and discussed issues And refunded 2 meals

Husband went in to order a takeaway - this took 50 minutes - fully appreciate it was busy. His burger came with no egg and raw onions (he asked for no onions) and he got plain chips and not cajun. Mine had no onion rings, I wanted salt and pepper chips and got cajun. Very simple things that went wrong here but when you're paying £28 for burger and chips from a small menu it should be correct. We could have taken it back but not waiting another 50 minutes. We won't be returning.

Food is amazing and the drinks are good but the bathrooms are not so good and the service is terrible 1 hour long wait and not even full

All The Bad Reviews Are Completely Valid. Not Somewhere To Go With Family As You Can Barely Hear Each other Over The Music. Took Ages To Get A Table When We Got A Table Took Half A Hour For Someone To Ask For A Drinks Order. Staff Don’t Seem Trained Properly For Example If Your Handing A Customer A Drink Dont Hold The Drink By The Rim Of The Glass. Food Came With Missing Components On Multiple Accounts. For The Price The Portions Are Ridiculous. Bought 2 Portions Of Onion Rings At £5 A Pop And They Come Out Wafer Thin And Burnt To A Crisp. No Napkins Which Are Needed With Such Greasy Food. Child’s Menu Stated They Would Get A Fruit Shoot And Received A Cheap Off Brand One. I Shouldn’t Go Out For A Nice Meal And Be Thinking What A Waste Of Calories As I’m Eating As The Food Was That Lackluster. Will Definitely Be Avoiding This Place In The Future And I Urge Anyone Else To Reading This.

Booked here for a birthday and we weren’t seated for 30 mins, then they closed the kitchen due to complications but didn’t bother to inform us. We understand that things can happen and we can’t expect to be served if there is an accident in the kitchen however it would be been nice to be informed and updated. Very poor customer service and no compensation or apologies for us waiting over an hour for an update on the food.

Best food in a while, second time I've been here in a few weeks after finding out they do gluten free options. Skyscraper burger is to die for, what is in that cheese sauce 😍 Lovely staff amazing atmosphere

Excellent venue that is great for food aswell as just having a drink if that's what you fancy. Staff are really friendly and quick service. I would highly recommend this place and it's now my go to in bebington for a quick pint.

Amazing food, nearly all of it gluten free or can be done gluten free. The best gluten free buns ive ever had in a restaurant even my partner preferred the gluten free buns to the 'normal' bun. Really nice friendly staff, always served with a smile, only waited less than half an hour for our food which was surprising as the place was packed. Keep doing what your doing

I'm still sitting in the restaurant and wanted to review. My food order was incorrect with a food intolerance, and they could not have been more helpful. Mistakes happen, but how the restaurant dealt with it was polite and immediate. The other 3 meals were perfect. Brother in law had the salt and pepper fries with his meal and said they're the best ever. Lots of choice for drinks and helpful staff again. Allowing us to try an IPA before buying the pint. Would definitely recommend x

Super busy buzzing place , service really good , suppose the menu could be bigger but food was good and wel be back for sure .

Food wasn't up to scratch, the burgers we got were either undercooked or cooked so much it was too hard to actually bite into. Also got chicken strips which were pink on the inside so didn't risk eating them. But of a disappointing experience, food is more hyped up than it should be.

Meeting family for lunch. Checked online to see if open. Arrived to find it closed for a private function. Spoke to someone in charge to express my disappointment over a wasted journey and advised the (gentle)man that they should have updated their website and advised that they were closed. His reply was...Did you book? I relied No, didn't think we needed too( They advertise..no booking necessary). The man shrugged and just said try next door. I argued again that they should have updated website and he just kept saying that if we had tried to book it would have said so. With that he just walked off. Didn't get to try food so can't comment on that, but if the owner is so rude to potential customers, they don't deserve business.

Came to the cow shed tonight feb 10 th for family drink as not been here before cousin also had food food was amazing shots were the biggest shots we have ever had haha staff we absolutely love went above and beyond Katrina and Dwayne sat down for a chat was really nice a mix of all ages will definitely be back also kids and dog friendly what is a bonus that’s guy see you all soon xx

Both myself and my husband came in for lunch after really looking forward to giving this place a try. Little did we know it would take 45 minutes for a club sandwich each and the strangest salt and pepper fries I’ve ever seen……. Whilst trying to figure out said fries I cut my mouth to shreds with the over cooked clearly reheated from last week fries then to tackle the rubber chicken and cremated bacon on a pitiful pitta bread. Safe to say we won’t be returning…. Awful

Waited 40 min for a table; then 50 mins for food, at that point we asked for a refund and the waitress was really snotty with us! Give it a wide birth. Lots of people complaining about the wait and food looked average at best

Staff are lovely, very helpful, friendly and are delightful to deal with. Unfortunately, no stout available, it had run out, obviously a popular drink. The cowshed beer is good The only thing which lets this place down is what the food is served in, plastic bowls with chipper paper in, not great for puddings. We enjoyed our food, as we said, we have tried the place out.

Visited here with friends for drinks. Arrived at the bar and the floor was sticky. Toilets were filthy. Rowdy crowd. Definitely not somewhere I'd have a meal and wouldn't return for drinks because of the above. Good cocktails though.

Nice food for good value but fairly poor service, no one to greet you at the door. Experience was made enjoyable due to Dylan behind the bar who was excellent at making cocktails and fostering a very entertaining and welcoming environment. Very good bar and selection of drinks.

Thought we would try somewhere new for a change. Very disappointing experience. As most reviews say,extremely slow service and overhyped burgers! Not sure what others are used to but I'd say McDonalds is much better! Lack of cheese on burger, basic lettuce tomato just no flavours coming through. Fries were actually okay,hot and not too skinny. If you're going to do burgers do them well. Staff need to be more pro active as seem to stand around a lot in the bar area. Won't rush back! Also really cold,could do with adding an extra door before the double doors, you just get a big draft every time someone opens the door to come in or leave! Such a shame it didn't deliver.

We waited for 40 mins to order a drink then a further 10 for food. Food came 45 mins later. Totally understaffed … staff tried hard but were completely overwhelmed. Food was just ok.

Unfortunately disappointed with my first visit to the Cow Shed. Having been recommended by a family member who had been previously, I booked a table for 7:30 and turned up. Nobody waiting to see you to the tables, so we went to the bar to ask. We ordered and paid for drinks whilst we waited for our table. After around half an hour somebody came and asked if we had ordered yet, and then when we asked to order the waitress said she would return with a note pad. We watched on as she then proceeded to take orders and serve drinks to other tables for another 20 minutes, at which point we decided to leave. It was exceptionally noisy in there, and despite the reasonably impressive decor, the place seems to appeal to large, noisy groups and families. We doing ourselves raising our voice to hear eachother. I would like to return to try the menu as the food sounds good, but I do think that the staff need to pick their game up and don’t ignore customers for 45 minutes plus.

This was our first time visiting and we booked a table for 5pm. There was no-one to greet us at the door so we made our way to the bar at the back then tried to find someone to let them know we were here and find out where our table was. We were sat on a high table and shared with other guests - don't go if you want a romantic meal for two! After asking twice, our drink and food order was eventually taken after 20 minutes. We then waited over an hour for our food. Again I had to ask twice. When the food did eventually arrive, we were very disappointed. The burgers were not great quality, it was very dry and my husband had no onion rings on his burger despite being listed on the menu. The chips were cold. They were supposed to be salt & pepper fries but were plain. When we asked the waiter about this, he took them away and brought them back with a bit of salt on and said they had ran out of salt & pepper seasoning. The place itself looked great but it was far too busy for the number of staff working. I would suggest they invest in more staff and better quality burgers. We won't be returning.

Early days. On my doorstep. My wife & I have visited on four occasions since opening. The last visit a few days ago, and I am meeting a fried there tomorrow. Burgers are very good and value for money, beers...mainly Lagers are excellent, again reasonably priced. Decor is basic, but creative. Assuming this venue keeps up this standard, we intend visiting often.

We visited the Cow Shed to celebrate my mum's birthday as a family. It was clear as soon as we walked in that the staff were rushed off their feet. We were eventually seated at our table and given the menus. We waited for a member of staff to take our orders but after 30 minutes, it was clear that this was not going to happen. A member of our table went to the bar and joined a queue to order our food. Once we had ordered, we sat and waited for another 30 minutes. A member of our table asked a member of the team twice about the food and we were told both times that it would arrive soon. Then, another member of the team approached our table and asked us to pay for our food as another table had walked out without paying. Before my mother could pay, another member of the table interjected and asked why we were paying for our food which hadn't arrived yet while others were sitting and eating their food without being approached for payment. The staff member agreed and approached another table instead. A bizarre experience. 45 minutes after ordering, our food arrived. The food was actually really good, which is why I have awarded the extra star. However, the service was just abysmal, and it is clear to me that this place is understaffed. I would urge management to consider recruitment of additional staff on weekends.

I booked a table for 25 people to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday. The staff were wonderful from start to finish. On our arrival a large table was reserved and ready for us. The group consisted of lots of different families and there was no hassle about splitting the bill at the end of the meal like most places as food was ordered and paid for at the bar. The staff were very attentive and made sure all our guests were happy throughout the evening, we will definitely be back again.

Had my mum's wake today 20/12/23 The staff were amazing and the food was excellent, my mum would have loved it here, thank you again to all the staff.

Really nice place. We went after work on the way home and enjoyed a "paddle" with some of their different beers on for £5. I enjoyed the stout so got a full pint then. We decided on a chilli dog from the menu and helped...

Had a "homemade" double burger with peppercorn sauce, coleslaw side and fries. Great flavours. Gyros chicken wrap with fries and slaw too Added coffees all for under £22. Great value and great atmosphere in new local business. Would highly recommend visiting. 5*+

A great new bar and grill, fantastic selection of beers and ales and an extensive cocktail menu. I hand a fantastic burger and my wife had the chicken gyros. Will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it anyone else
