One of the hidden gems in Stirling, the food was amazing. Very picturesque and relaxing place for food or just to enjoy a cake or ice cream or coffee made from the heart with local products.

Was disappointed with the iced milk shakes we ordered. Menu said thick milkshake made from fresh milk and ice cream from the farm. When we got them, we didnt think they where anything special, didnt seem to have much, if any, icecream in, and wasnt 'icey cold' which you would expect. Not good value at £4.85 each..

We were given vouchers for afternoon tea. Booking is essential as demand exceeds tables available. We were asked for a deposit. There is just about enough parking at peak times. We like going there because it is a pretty drive from Glasgow. We like to return via the great view from Crow Road through Lennoxtown. The setting is charming, a small yard with ramshackle buildings now the tearooms. The rooms are small with only a few tables in each room. Noise levels are low. Well laid out there are a few steps in places. Good bathroom facilities. The staff were genuinely friendly and several came to check that we had what we needed and were we enjoying the meal. A faultless afternoon tea comes on tiered plates. There must have been about nine dainty items per person. One person had allergy and was well catered to. It was a treat to try everything. The crowdie on a cracker was lovely. We all liked the tiny panacotta topped with raspberry puree. The scones here are always good. Afternoon tea proved very filling and I would not have it every week, but it certainly was a treat. A good place for a casual lunch or slice of cake. Ice cream to take away is by the door. Really good quality and a place that can cater to all ages. Afternoon tea about per person £20 per person.

After visiting this lovely tea room many times over the years and really enjoying it and finding the staff really pleasant, lately this has changed with one member of staff in particular being really rude. We as a family won’t return and that’s sad. We booked a table on the 4th of July to celebrate my mums birthday taking two cars. It takes 35 minutes each way to get there which we love as it’s a scenic drive but on arriving in Fintry we discovered the road that takes you along to the tearoom closed with no alternative route apart from driving back to where we came from and going in from the Stirling end which if we had known we would have done. When we phoned the tearoom to ask why they wouldn’t have told us this on booking we got said rude member of staff who bluntly told us they don’t have time to ask everyone where they are travelling from. It would have taken seconds to let us know the road in was closed saving us wasting over an hour in travel time not to mention the fuel used. We have been visiting since the tearoom opened so many years and have a lot of happy memories but we will not return

Bought a Ploughman’s platter. Utterly shocking. 2 slices of ham, and 2 small chunks of cheddar cheese. With some pickle with half a slice of bread cut into a triangle. What was on the plate couldn’t even make up a sandwich due to only 1 slice of bread. Guy please google what comes in a Ploughman’s lunch because you’re missing a lot of items. For £9 it was terrible.

I'll not lie, I've been here a few times. And each time it is AMAZING! My friend and I had lunch last weekend, it was a horrible day but we were brightened up by the beautiful surroundings. We had a fabulous lunch of ploughman's platter and the beef brisket, super tasty! I really enjoy the lemonade crushes, not too sweet or fake tasting. We did have room for the delicious coffee and cake, which were a 10/10! I like that there are some little goodies for sale in the foyer (I'm a huge fan for Highland Soap Co.) Nos recomendaron un paseo en auto por los Campsies y nos dijeron que nos aseguráramos de ir al Courtyard Caf en Fintry para tomar una taza. Volveremos. . . . .

Passed this cafe on the way to take a walk to the Loup of Fintry so thought we'd return for a bite to eat after the walk. As we walked towards the entrance I saw a waitress roll her eyes when she caught a glimpse of our group through the window. There was no table available for our group which was understandable as we had just rocked up on spec so we bought ice creams and free range eggs to take away. Other people who walked in after us were served before us as we stood waiting to pay for the eggs and order ices. Staff were unfriendly throughout our limited time there. Though the cakes looked really good, for me it's about the service as much as the food so can't recommend this place and we will not be back.

A cold, snowy afternoon on the 1st of February saw my wife and I escape the elements glowering over Fintry, and into the warmth and comfort of this charming farm courtyard restaurant. What a find! We only had a cream tea, including scones and jam as it was near closing time,, but a full afternoon tea with cakes, five different types of sandwiches and a choice of teas or coffee would have been a very reasonable £14.95 per person (.Note to self- come back soon!).The suite of buildings comprise tea rooms, a dairy, and a shop which deals in interior design, another talent of the owner! Many of their products for sale are home grown- their milk, Icecream, jams and yogurts. They boast a prestigious selection of chefs and restaurants who buy their Knockraith products. The toilets were spotless, and the decor look fresh, with a distinct French feel to the place. There were chairs and tables outside in the courtyard itself, which, I’m sure will be well used during the warmer weather. The lunch menu has homemade soups and pates, and boasts a quiche of the day. We will have to return for lunch, soon! This is a perfect venue for a “wee run in the car” over the Campsies from Lennoxtown to Fintry.

However, this place has gone way downhill. We sat at our table for at least 20+mins and when my wife attempted to order at the front desk she was told it was table service. There was no soup and when we tried to order an alternative rustic sausage roll we were told that the sausage rolls were burnt but we could try them if we wanted to! So we were up a gum tree for lunch! Not good enough we will not be back and we walked. Because this place is so far out the way I would not recommend travelling out. Decided on a day trip to Fintry, to hit this recommended Farmstyle Cafe. The place is like a Fairy Cottage, with inviting, CLEAN, outdoor tables. The Minute you walk inside, you know you're in for a treat. The Sunlit, bright modern, but cozy and airy Dining areas, look as though they were modernised that Day, everything is so fresh and spotlessly clean. The furnishings, tables and chairs, some upholstered Armchairs facing Large Windows, are the perfect setting for a Coffee/Tea and a chat. My companion, and I, both had the Scambled Eggs with Salmon and Toast, served with a little Butter Pot. Everything was beautifully presented, freshly prepared, lovely and tasty. I had a Mocha, my companion opting for a Pot of Tea. After Lunch, a couple of slices of their Cakes, mine a Coffee Sponge, her's, a Vanila Sponge. Both were very nice. Mine was just that tiny bit on the dry side, being absolutely honest. However, that did not prevent me scoffing the lot. As others have mentioned, the drive from Glasgow, in our case, was so beautiful, while Rain abounded throughout the day in Glasgow, we got Sun along the way their, and sitting at a windowed corner table for two, the Blue Skies and Sun, blessed our stay the entire time! So lucky! Definitely take the time to visit this fantastic Cafe. They make their own Ice Cream, and there is a Shop of lovely artefacts and Country Design articles, plus some locally handmade artisan Jams, Chutneys, and The like. Its not the cheapest place in the world but the quality is excellent its very busy at the weekend but a bit quitter during the week but still can be busy. The staff are polite and efficient and the food fresh and well presented. The café has the advantage of being on a working farm with a dairy so the dairy products are really fresh and tasty as are the eggs the have their own hens. Only down side its not great for those a bit unsteady on their feet as the shop and eating areas are on different levels, though the café does have a disabled entry and the toilets are designed around wheelchair access. Overall I would recommend the courtyard for a stop on your day out traveling the rural areas of Stirlingshire.

Stopped here for lunch yesterday, managed to get a seat in the courtyard itself. Wonderful ambience. Place was very busy but service was very good and attentive. Soup and sandwich deal for both of us, very tasty and a nice touch to have home made sauces in the fillings. Price reasonable for the quality. Pushed for time or we would have had a longer look around the farm, looks very interesting. Will definitely return when in the area.

What a surprise. Turned in when we saw the sign by the roadside and were delighted to find this excellent cafe. Great espresso coffee, delicious scones set in a pretty cafe in a working dairy. Well worth stopping for.

I don't think I have ever felt so guilty asking for a soy cappuccino.....or as disappointed that I couldn't eat the gorgeous ice cream...it is a dairy and proud of it and so it should be. Beautifully decorated and situated with lovely genuine staff...thanks!

I cycled from Perth to Fintry and this cafe was my half way point, so it was a welcome break. The food and the service were excellent and high recommended.

I only stopped for a coffee and a cake, which were both very nice. Lovely country decor, very smartly dressed and professional staff many of whom appeared to be preparing for a busy day ahead. The breakfast and lunch menus both looked excellent and I'd be keen to return and give them a try.

Found this cafe by accident last year on our way home from a small trip up north. We drove towards Fintry and it was off the beaten track. Set in beautiful countryside. Lovely surroundings. The food is delicious and the home baking first class. Good value for money. Have gone back time and time again whenever I get a chance with either friends or family. Would highly recommend. Keep up the high standards. Well done !

Superb location just outside of Fintry , Lots of light options for lunch , ranging from soups , sandwiches and salads. Visited by chance on Mothers day the only table available was outside, which was great as the weather was spectacular for the time of year. Impressed with the whole set up , will definitely be back to sample more of what is on offer.

Been coming here for years but dawned on me today I've never reviewed it. Real away from it all location, tastefully decorated and consistently good whether it's just a bacon sandwich or a full lunch. Decent coffee and the cakes and scones are excellent - best paradise slice anywhere. If you are in the area it's definitely worth a visit.

4 of us went along to the Courtyard Cafe on Sunday and we all had the Tomato and Red Pepper Soup which was absolutely delicious - served with creme fraiche and lovely home-made bread. We then had coffees (mine was the Gingerbread Latte which was brilliant) and some Carrot Cake, although one of us had the ginger and melon ice-cream. Everything here is home-made and they have even started selling fresh milk, where you can buy a 1 ltr milk bottle or bring your own container! They also have a lovely gift-shop on the premises including some household goods such as lamps, small furniture and really nice collectables. Will be back again soon!

My wife and I were at a loose end and decided to go for a run in the car into the Fintry hills with the intention to stop for a coffee somewhere . The weather was awful and we couldn't really get out the car and go for a walk at the Carron Valley reservoir so we pressed on and drove through Fintry itself in search of a major road! We were determined to find somewhere for our coffee and as luck would have it we took the B822 Kippen road out of Fintry and on our left saw this sign at the end of a farm road. It didn't look much, but we thought we'd try it anyway. Once inside out of the rain we were surprised to find a very clean and pleasant cafe and the menu looked OK. We ordered a pot of tea, a panini and I a ploughmans. The latter was quite exceptional, with lots of fresh trimmings and all home made at that! Toilets were spotless. Well done folks!

This is a lovely little gem of a cafe tucked away in the tiny village of Fintry. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a choice of tables. We chose to sit in the conservatory. The whole place is tastefully decorated, homely, very clean and welcoming. The food is amazing and affordably priced. They were accommodating when I requested a minor alteration to my chooser dish. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive whilst not being intrusive. I'd highly recommend a visit to this lovely place.

Katie Rodger's dairy farm produces its own low-processed milk in fill-you-own-bottle form, ice-cream, butter and crowdie cheese. We've had lunch here sevral times and it's always good. There's a conservatory and a slate courtyard with tables outside. Soups, sandwiches, toasties and salads are all very good quality, fresh with local and home-made ingredients.

We were lost out of our minds in the middle of nowhere, and saw a sign that said Homemade Ice Cream. So we went in. Great little cafe , part of a working farm. When you look up the hill, you think you're in heaven, the view is magnificent. Great interior. I gather the owner is also an interior designer. Fairly large inside . I gather hey get a lot of folks from Glasgow to come here. Ice cream was great and we ordered sandwich's to go for lunch. Really neat little place. Give them a try.

Beautiful place, stunning surroundings and wonderful food. We went for breakfast followed by wonderful homemade cake and their own homemade ice cream as the farm cafe is also a creamery. The cafe is beautifully decorated and set in gorgeous surroundings and we ate in the courtyard as the weather was good. This place is off the beaten track though, and we wouldn't have found it if we hadn't been with family who live locally. However, even though it is hidden in the Stirlingshire countryside, it is very busy as all the locals clearly know about it. The creamery produces pasteurised non homogenised milk from their own herd of grass fed cows and the milk can be bought at the cafe. The melon and ginger ice cream made from this wonderful milk is the food of heaven!

Visited on the Sunday for a spot of lunch. It was surprisingly quiet at first but got busy quite quickly. The food here is very nice, the only quibble is that I feel it is quite expensive. The produce was very fresh and portions were fine, all served by attentive polite but not overbearing staff. Some of the produce is very local i.e from the farm the courtyard belongs to. The ice cream looked delicious but I managed to stop myself, the same goes for the cakes which looked particularly yummy, again though was being good. However heard from other customers who were really enjoying them!

We popped in here for lunch while passing for the first time and were glad we did. The service was good, very quick and efficient, staff were very friendly. There is a good selection on the menu and even a dog menu, which our dogs loved! The soup was delicious and toasties were tasty but a little burnt around the sides so we couldn't even bite into some of them. They have no disabled parking which is disappointing. We will definitely pop in again if passing!

Gracias

A very poor experience in terms of food quality and service. It certainly didn't live up to it's claim of "equisite dining"...where we would.."Indulge in a culinary journey".(unless the destination was mediocrity). We were there as a group of about 14 in a private room for the xmas menu and we had eaten here the previous year also, when the food was OK, but not great. This year it was much poorer. The scallops were absolutely tiny! The cod was NOT cod, not sure what it was but as someone who has worked in the UK fish industry for many years, it was most definitely not cod. The same happened last year when it was a bass or bream fillet (also called "cod" on the menu) but was quite tasty so I didn't mind so much then. This time it was a fish with quite soft and tasteless flesh. We had to chase some drinks orders several times as they didn't appear, sometimes eventually turning up after about 20 minutes. The sticky toffee pudding was on freezing cold plates, which made the sauce cold and sponge barely warm...just about room temperature. One sticky toffee pudding that was ordered with vegan ice cream didn't appear until we had chased it a couple if times and everyone else had finished. We won't be back next year. Perhaps we should have complained more at the time, but it's supposed to be a fun time, not one when as well as chasing food and drinks, we have to moan about everything and kill the atmosphere.
