I went for a photo shoot and I can't explain how amazing the vibes were there.

We were in Birmingham and decided to visit here. The staff are friendly and helpful and very attentive. The food was good, but we definitely have better food in Bradford.

Azeem was amazing when serving us at courtyard by alam and it was my birthday today and he went above and beyond and I had a lovely experience will deffo be returning !

Big Sully is a real one - owner you better give him a pay rise. So accommodating, so polite and even took group photos for us!! xoxo cheesecake girls

The food was really nice and appealing .generous portions .lovely ambience, especially the courtyard ..shisha lounge experience was good but could have been better for non-smokers to sit separate .

I 100% recommended Alam. The food is great, the proportions are extremely good for the price. The service was also excellent, especially by Khuram. He was extremely friendly and enthusiastic.

Bookede a bix plater mix meat. A nice layout. And got 2 veg spring rolls. The fish was not nice. I will not return another time sorry. Even water was not free🤗

Been here couple times was brilliant but today service was no good food came separately my little nephew got his food when we nearly finished ours he is 8 years old very disappointed 😞 Won't be coming back

A little disappointed nice furnishings and decor inside and out but it goes down hill pretty quick from there you have to be tech savvy to open the menu you do this by opening your camera on your phone and then hovering it over the qr code on the table then you have to register a account with the restaurant then you can finally order your food !! The mix grill was below average looked nice and was presented nicely but flavours were a let down and at £27 you’d expect more one mix grill will feed 2 people comfortably. If your sitting in the back of the restaurant make sure you wear a jacket or coat as people go past there and open the door which leads out to the Shisha section and they often leave the door behind them open and you get a gust of freezing cold air straight in. Small children run around freely screaming and bumping into things the servers or the restaurant could do more with telling the parents to look after their kids or at least supervise them better. Overall a good concept but it could do with some improvement P.s I would recommend the lamb karahi it’s perfection 👍🏻

The atmosphere was nice as we were sat behind the restaurant..another place where people can have shisha. I ordered a hot drink and a dessert. My order came very late!! Did not like the hot chocolate and the dessert portion size was tiny (very pricey!!). Plus..it wasn't fresh (it seemed as though they kept this in the freezer for a long time!).

Worst experience for a breakfast venue who don’t sell Orange Juice. This place is part of the Alam Restaurant Today I visited the Alam Restaurant whilst ordering my breakfast for me and my wife I realised they don’t sell orange juice considering I am a big fan of OJ when I need to down my breakfast. I kindly asked a lady staff member do you have orange juice she replied no very kindly. I decided that I would go and get my orange juice from a local shop as breakfast is not the same without it for me. Just a small OJ for one person I usually visit Ladana for breakfast who sell freshly squeezed orange juice which is lovely. On my return I let the restaurant manager know that I have had to go and get my own orange juice. The male replied in a disgust and spoke to me with a loud tone of voice amongst other seated customers saying you can’t bring your own drink. I replied to him saying I did ask your staff member if you can provide OJ here? He then continued his loud conversation making me feel at unease in front of other customers and his staff members in a very rude manor. By this point I was already put off from eating my breakfast. I had some of my food which was on the table whilst the male was arguing at me and then shortly after I patiently paid the bill and left. I feel let down by the place. I surely won’t be visiting again and glad to let other reader’s understand the mentality the management have towards customers.

1st visit. Lamb Achari and nans banging. Red doner on chips with a few flakes of lettuce - dry as anything - not asked during visit how everything was - would have asked for some sauces (ketchup and mayo not exactly what I came for or expected). Service - well had to order on a Web page - signal not great in the greenhouse - no side plates provided until we asked - after eventually finding a staff member. Greenhouse full hoisr - with one staff member only - who asked to take plates away while we was still eating - and then stood by us on a personal phone call - when our table needed clearing as desserts had arrived. 2 of us - £50+ ... was it worth it?? Still not decided. . .would I go again - maybe but not in a rush to return.

Amazing... Friendly staff.. Toilets are clean....but I didn't like the black flat plates for dessert.

Food was good but i didn't like ordering system it was all on line and if your not a smart phone user then you will go hungry because it was hard to get sameone to explain the menu and when did get to the menu there was not enough info to explain what you were ordering but maybe that's just me i am not to smart with the smart phone.. 🤓

Beautiful place, great service, really nice food. We sat outside even on a cold day it felt cosy. Would like to go back when the bottom of the garden is open as it was all closed when I visited

Ashamed to say I fell for wanting to try the place after the way it’s portrayed on insta reels 🙄 Such a waste of calories and money I’ll never get back . Overpriced food that’s average at best . Describing it as average food is me being kind and generous. Dynamite Prawns were particularly disappointing was told just a bestseller. Tasteless, overpriced and presented like a child’s portion. Would rather get or somewhere else The only good things I can say it is very very pretty in the outside courtyard , love the real fire, cosy vibe in addition waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. However food was tasteless and extremely small portions in relation to what you pay so would never go again

Got served by naheed... gota say she is one of the best services av had in a while Deco in the courtyard is heavenly and looks stunning Food we got was tandoori chops which was amazing Kastori boti which was good combo of spice and cheese Achari chicken with garlic naan was fab!!!

Food was amazing. A very grand place to eat and prices are actually reasonable and not too too pricey. Me and husband sat in the courtyard and it was a bit chilly so we turned on the heaters in the booth that warmed us up. It was a very good ambience especially when its dark and the lights are on in the booths. We ordered achari chicken and the taste was just beyond this world - a really good chicken curry with a kick. We ordered roghni and black seed nan with it and both were nice and soft yet crispy. We did prefer the black seed nan a bit more. Portion size of karahi was good. Right amount for 2 adults. We ordered a smash burger and it was good but not the type you'd get from proper burger places. Fries came with the burger and they were so tasty, crispy yet soft and chunky. Lamb chops were AMAZING - perfectly spiced and extremely tender! Mango lassi was really good quality. Shisha was also good. Overall service was good and was quite easy to order via their website. Food didn't take too long to be served - around 20 mins for mains. If you're in 2 minds about this place I'd say just go for it and stick with the safe options like curries and desi food etc. As I believe that this is their speciality.

I can honest tell you from my experience this restaurant is an amazing place to bring your friends and family to have a good time. We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes away, despite the surrounding of the restaurant are not as nice as the restaurant, don't get intimidate by it. I would say this is the Birmingham hidden gem, once inside you will be amazed. Food is stunning and cocktails are gracious. Love this place, is always so relaxed and comfy, specially if you get an outside table. Naheed and Osama are so friendly and kind, they are always near by to help you. They suggested me to try the Samosa Chaat, which is so delicious!!! I will continue to visit this place.

Great experience at The courtyard. Shisha was on point , the smoke is very good and the flavour is one of the best flavours I've had, really smooth. Food was really nice good portions. The customer service was out of this world from Naheed who gave us brilliant recommendation on both food and shisha, made us feel welcome and checked on us regularly, she was awesome absolute gem 💎!

The courtyard is a great place for shisha, the smoke is very good and the flavour is one of the best flavours I've had, really smooth. The customer service was excellent brother Umar gave a great shisha recommendation and made us feel welcome and checked on us regularly. Will definitely come back!!!

Frozen Raspberry and Frozen Apple £25 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I didn’t even know this was a shisha lounge, well it’s actually a restaurant which has a small lounge in the back. Upon entering we went straight to the shisha lounge as we already had food elsewhere, scanned the QR code which bought up the menu and then securely placed and paid for the shisha. Shisha took a while to come around 20 minutes but that’s because they had to light up a batch of new coals as there was no one in the lounge but ourselves. They use the Savacco V2 shisha which is a great pipe and always performs very well. The smoke was ok, plenty of clouds but the flavour did die off quite quicker than I anticipated but that’s something which is a bit hit and miss with these frozen flavours. The price range is £20 for classics, £25 for their opulence range and £30 for Savacco, you can choose upto 3 flavours to mix. Service was brilliant our shisha server was very friendly and took care of us. Free parking onsite, overall a decent lounge which I would recommend trying if you eat in the restaurant as the food looked pretty good and that’s the main selling point. I was advised by our shisha server we missed out on 50% offer which they had a week prior but do keep an eye out for offers on shisha.

The menu does not state the burgers come with fries, so we ordered fries as sides and then got double amount, Complained to the staff, who phoned the manager, who in return said no refund The staff kindly refuned it anyway,

The food at Alam is so tasty and delicious,the staff are very polite and prompt with the service.The food came out quiet quickly and was nice and hot,everytime we have gone the quality of food and service have never let us down.All covid procedures are being followed ,mask wearing till we get to seats and hand sanitizers around the restaurant.Will continue going their as atmosphere and look of restaurant is outstanding.
