Really nice atmosphere. Fun happy clean. Lovely staff. Really good prices, love that they charge per 30 minutes/hour hire for some games not by individual people. We did the baseball which was great and the table golf! Definitely going again

Great day spent here. The batting cages were so much fun, really good value, we played on the inside cages and they were great! I would go back for this! Pitpat table golf was also good however some of the obstacles were not suitable as they just did not work and I feel it would have been better if the tables were golfing material as the ball just slid back down the table a lot of the time. Good to try but not sure if I would do this one again, the graffiti walls were really cool and fun though! Curling was great, so much fun! The room looked great and the game was so much fun! 100% would do this again it was great. The raceway was great value and a fun way to end the day! Couldn't rate food as sadly the kitchen was not open on the day we went but drinks were great, would love to come back and try the food as the menu looked really good!

Had a few problems with the machines but the staff dealt with it quickly and couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and brilliant staff

The outdoor Curling was disappointing and felt poorly maintained. The outdoor batting cage was fun, but definitely not a premium experience. The raceway was fun but very short. Many of the arcade games weren't functioning. Drinks were pricey. The whole venue felt a little tacky.

Best place to visit for arcade fun and awesome drinks. Masoud, the bartender, is super nice and excellent customer experience with him. Came from Toronto to visit this location, and it does NOT disappoint! Had so much fun and will definitely come back

This is purely a review for the floodgates booking system which needs to be fixed, I have been trying to book curl club for 8 people, on page three of the booking system it asks how many guests? I select 8, when it goes to the final confirmation page it selects one guest, I potentially thought this could be a deposit? but then I read the full terms and conditions and it mentions nothing about a deposit of the booking system really.

Good vibe and great games. Prices were decent too!

Brilliant fun, remote controlled cars were so much fun and the table top golf was busy but steady and really good fun. Lots to do to kill a few hours

Staff were really great and it’s a nice atmosphere, 2 for 1 cocktails were really good but the games are a bit overpriced for what they are - still fun though and something a little bit different

Didn't eat food but the drinks were fab. Shame they are served in plastic glasses but they were 241 so worth it. Fabulous place for a work/game night. We enjoyed the curling and felt the service was very good. Atmosphere was fantastic and fun with the neon/graffiti theme and lit up aisles.

Organised a pre gig meet up here. The owner messaged me to make sure everything was in hand and we had a blast. The batting cage was an added bonus. Definitely try this place out and check out their socials

A great activity session with brilliant atmosphere and genuinely happy staff

Venue came recommended, so we tried it out on Sunday afternoon.  Being a weekend it's classed as peak time, which we expected.  What we didn't expect was a venue virtually deserted and staff sat around the bar because it was so quiet.  Yes they were friendly, no problems there.  But the whole experience lacked atmosphere.  Peak time??  I think not.  Footfdall was abysmal.  We felt we paid way over the odds to do indoor curling and pit pat table golf.  The games are good, you'll enjoy.  But if you are going to pay peak prices, check with the venue when they expect there to be other people there. Come on Floodgate, play fair with your pricing. Disappointing.

Had a great night here on Saturday for a work event with a group of nine. Very busy but well organised with a great atmosphere. Did not try the food but exceptional customer service from Tonyah informing us they were slightly behind (Not even noticed, she was that quick) Offered complimentary drinks to compensate. Would highly recommend The Floodgate and will be back.

Very cool place with nice graphic designs on the walls and challenging golf courses. Only thing I’d change is the surface it’s played on, would be better if it was played on a pool table type material so the ball doesn’t move, other than that I’d recommend as it’s something different !

Overpriced and below average service. The batting cage we were in wasn’t shooting the balls correctly. When we explained this to staff, the response was to shrug and say “I dunno”. Will not be returning.

Had a fantastic time here yesterday with family and friends, playing pit pat table golf ! Friendly staff, a really fun environment, and a great game made for a top day out ! PS. It looked like everyone there was having a great time at all the activities.

Great concept. Staff need to be a bit more attentive towards paying customers.arrived promptly as stated on your site only to be greeted with a rather relaxed introduction.the 30 min prior arrival is not needed. Also states on your site card and cash bar. Again no cash could be used and some of our party didn't have cards on them.no pre warning via email, phone.. Again no pre warning that food would not be available on said day and we all arrived hungry and ready to eat on site. Only to be told there were only 3 staff on site. Made to feel like that was our issue like we didn't supply enough staff for there kitchen.no responsibility or liability taken from staff who looked dis interested and obviously didn't want to be there on a Sunday. Again not our problem. No apology just told to take it up with head office. Then onto the games. Booked 3 cages for batting with 18 children. 6 per cage. Only to be told I had only booked 2 but clearly paid for 3 on my email invoice. So they double booked. Strange as all done on live booking system. Again no apology just advice to take up with head office. We cracked on and thoroughly enjoyed the batting and curling and raceway was a big hit with the kids. I understand ur venue is not aimed at kids but really liked that the lads got to experience a day out like this and although I know children are a bit crazy at times if your marketing your buisness as a Sunday family day perhaps the staff need to understand how children behave a bit better. They are silly they will mess around. There kids. As the night went on felt like we were being edged out with machines being turned off claiming they were broke.... Staff just wanted to go home and we were keeping them there it felt like. All in all a good concept but a bit more customer care wouldn't go a miss maybe.

Great fun at the Curling club, attentive staff, good drinks, well worth a visit.

We cant thank the Floodgate enough for accommodating us as a very large party Friday evening for our works xmas party. The team weer completely ready for us.

We visited yesterday with a group of 8 for curling. We had booked indoor curling but it was about as cold in there as it was outside (below 0). We were understandably not prepared for this so ended up not using the full hour. The fire door to outside was open until we asked to close it and there was no heating on/installed in that part of the building. I can see how this place would be great fun if warm and the curling was priced ok and worked well as a sociable game. (Note it was not real curling on ice so did not need to be cold)

It was a very chilly evening, and we were glad we had hats and coats. The PitPat and curling areas were freezing! Despite that, we loved every minute. It's a great venue and ideal venue for group nights out. Games were fantastic fun food good but simple, and a full drinks selection. A fun place!

Was okay for a night out. Was a friend's 30th birthday and had been booked for months and they didn't tell us that the food had stopped so after our games we were all hungry ready for food and couldn't get a table anywhere local which was abit disappointing.

SUMMARY: Please do not come here!!! Staff will continually interrupt your games due to their own scheduling/admin errors, security guards will do unnecessary “checks” to ask you condescendingly if you have paid for the games, been allowed to do particular things by other staff, etc. If you voice any complaints or concerns, the relevant staff will confront you and abuse you. A complete waste of our time and money. We have been coming here for a while now and have even organised for some of our work parties to be held here but after our recent experience, we will not be coming back here again. The events: 1. We turned up, had a few drinks and some food (waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive, it was never put through in the first place so we had to then reorder) 2. Booked 30 minutes of curling games with the bar 3. We were led by a member of staff to our curling lane and were told we could use the lane next to us also since there were no other bookings at that time (as long as we stopped using the second lane as soon as another booking arrived). 4. The member of staff showed us how to throw the curling object and also demonstrated how to retrieve them – he walked to the end of the lane and kicked the curling objects back to the starting line using his foot. 5. We played curling for 10 minutes before a security guard came and rudely told us to “behave”(amongst other things) in a very rude, irritated tone. He said we were not allowed to be throwing the curling objects backwards away from the goal and that they were also going past the starting line onto the floor. We advised him that we were just following as the staff member had demonstrated and would try to sure there was always someone to catch them at the other end. He then accused us of “messing around”, “not playing properly”, etc and continued to have a go at us. He said we weren’t supposed to be using more than one lane if we hadn’t booked it. When we told him a member of staff had permitted us to do, his reply was “so if I go and ask the bar staff right now, they would agree with what they are saying? Don’t lie.” 6. 10 minutes later, another staff member came to ask us if we had booked the lane because it wasn’t appearing on their system. Again, they asked why we were using two lanes. 7. At this point, we also made a complaint about the security guard being rude and forceful. 8. 5 minutes later, the same security guard came back to confront us again. He repeatedly made the following statements: “No, I wasn’t being rude. You just didn’t like what I said.” “why did you report me to the bar staff? I’m not rude. Why are you lying. Don’t go and complain to my bosses.” “If you’re going to make up stories about me, don’t lie.” (When one of us tried to intervene and tell him he was still being rude): “I’m not talking to you, yeah. Don’t speak.” He would not let any of us speak at all and continued to rant. 9. We then went to make a complaint to a different staff member behind the bar. That staff member then told us to “sort it out ourselves” and walked us back to the security guard, where a repeat of the same thing happened. The security guard talked over us the whole time, made the same inappropriate comments, etc. He also refused to give us his name. 10. When the staff member, witnessed this, I asked him if he thought this was acceptable behaviour. His response was “it’s his job” and then walked away. We spent over £100 on the night and were treated terribly.

The staff were pleasant upon arrival though no one was bothered/willing to deal with the family/kids running all over the curling lanes and damaging the surroundings. Building terribly cold and some arcade equipment not working.

Hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at any bar, pub or restaurant I’ve ever been to. The bar staff were a little moody and a little short but nothing too egregious, the food was a bit slow but again if your patient not too bad. The problem was with a specific member of the security staff, I believe his name was Abdul he single-handedly completely ruined my experience of the bar and my night. Not only was he unbelievably rude but he was standoffish and accusatory. It was surreal how much of a power trip he seemed to be on and how condescending and dismissive he was, it felt like he was trying to be threatening on purpose and cause problems. The bar manager seemed to not only not care but downright refuted our complaints and ignored what we had to say. There was no apologies or compromise, there was not even an admission of guilt or wrongdoing in any way. Never before in my life have I been tempted to report someone to the Security Industry Authority but the thought has crossed my mind since leaving the bar as I genuinely don’t think that guy should be working in the position he is in nor should the complacent and apathetic management. With the almighty god as my witness I can guarantee I’ll never ever return, even if you replaced that one security guard, heck even if you replaced half the staff including management I still wouldn’t, this is not a business that cares about customer service or about customer relations or about customer satisfaction.

Love this place! Been twice and had a great time. They've added a great little car racing track for remote controlled cars and it was so much fun! If you're in the area, definitely give it a visit!!

Staff lovely, allows kids in on Sunday before 7pm, so had a fun couple of hours playing pit pat golf and curling.

Amazing as always! Really tasty food that leaves you wanting more, amazing cocktails and delicious puddings too!

Drinks were ok but staff seemed completely disinterested in doing their job. Ordered a drink and the bartender just disappeared, the rest of staff were chatting right next to us instead of taking over. The games were fine but we were told to leave 20 min earlier than booked for because a staff member, who we couldn't find anymore, let us on the game at a different time and didn't communicate it with the rest of the team. We tried explaining but were instead surrounded by all staff members basically telling us to leave. One minute after we left they all started going home so I guess they just wanted an early close at our financial expense.

Overpriced venue with poorly trained and rude staff. We spent over 200 total for 2 hours of games and some drinks. Just to be kicked off one of the games 20 minutes early because one of the staff members thought they let us on earlier than they actually did. When confronted by the "manager" they were not listening to our side and refused to even acknowledge that maybe their staff member messed up with the time they put us on. Instead we got surrounded by all the staff and security trying to intimidate us Learn how to treat paying customers

Venue and atmosphere were great, service was a little disjointed at times and using the batting cage was difficult sometimes as Balls would change how they would come out, or we would get different numbers of balls coming out but overall it was a really enjoyable day

We went here to celebrate my friends birthday and to do something different. They offered various activities and were all relatively good prices. Drinks were well priced and there were many options available. We didn't end up eating as we had booked somewhere else, im not sure what there was. We had a cracking time with lots of laughs. The atmosphere was good and we would definitely go back to try another activity!

Absolutely loved going to Floodgate, Birmingham!! The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were lovely especially Nila who was a star to be around ⭐️. She was so helpful and patient especially when my friends are completely daft 😂. Loved her service and highly recommend 🩷

Great venue, decent staff and fun. £4.80 for a small can of Koppaberg though which is pretty extortionate.

Came for a corporate event. Disappointed the kitchen was closed and we hadn’t been told beforehand or on arrival, so we ended up having to order food in from elsewhere. Otherwise it’s a great venue and we had a lot of fun.

The place and the bar staff were fab but unfortunately raceway was a bit of a dissappointment. The game lasted about 3 minutes. I spoke to the one of the team afterwards and she said that ot's the first to 15 laps. I was absolutely rubbish so it would have taken me about an hour to get to 15 laps but my husband was brilliant so the game was over literally in 3 minutes. It was all very underwhelming, we got there early for a 'briefing' but it wasn't really necessary and it started and I couldn't even see what car I was. For £4.50 each it felt like a waste of time tbh. On my booking it said 8.30-8.50 which I was expecting and it might be more reasonalbe if you had as many rounds as you can at that time. Sorry for the review, but we were really excited about it but it just wasn't worth the money.

Really cool place, with loads to do. The service was good and the staff were all very lovely. The only little thing is that the online menu didn't really work very well and although a good serving if Nachos, the chilli we had was a very small amount. A spoonful if lucky, however it was tasty. Would recommend and go again

Food stopped serving really early. 5pm. So can't really rate the quality but the kitchen opening time was poor. Service was amazing 10/10 from the bar staff and event team. Was overall disappointed by the condition of games. Equipment and curling pitches not in the best condition.

A really great experience if you like sport games, a challenge & plenty of fun. This is a great place for a group of lads on a night out or a group of ladies doing the same or even a few couples together. Didn't manage to sample the food but I hear that the nachos are good. Definitely worth a visit

I had an absolutely fantastic time at The Floodgate Bar, and a huge part of that amazing experience was thanks to Shayane, the talented bartender there! From the moment I stepped in, Shayane's friendly and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. Thanks for the cocktail !! Every sip was a delightful journey of flavours that he expertly curated. Whether I was in the mood for a classic cocktail or something more unique, Shayane had the perfect recommendation that left my taste buds dancing with joy. If you are going to go to this bar, at least go there for the excellent staff that work there

Called in to enquire about another venue across the rd we were booked to go into, unfortunately it had closed down! Joe showed us what was available to do, and invited us to play pit pat golf, had great fun, had cocktails, played the floodgate raceway where Sam’s commentary was funny and entertaining would highly recommend visiting.

Had an absolutely amazing time celebrating with my girls at the Floodgate. The bartender Shayane was super quick with our annoying drinks orders and so friendly and patient with us. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Accidentally booked the wrong day, they were very accommodating and managed to help me book for the correct day! So helpful!!!

I couldn't recommend this place enough. The staff are amazing and an absolute credit to the place the 2 doormen and Lauren M in particular couldn't of been more helpful if they tried. We will definitely come back here.

Fantastic evening, made to feel welcome from the moment we pulled up outside! Doormen were welcoming and friendly, bar staff and general staff were amazing, Lauren M in particular was fantastic. Thank you for making my niece’s birthday celebrations so memorable.

Did curling and table golf with friends, didn't have food there. The activities were great and a lot of fun. I would recommend these to people that haven't done either of them before. Service was mediocre because the venue stated we should arrive 30 minutes early for the curling but then when we arrived 30 mins early we just got left to sit and wait until around 5 minutes after our slot was meant to start. We got drinks within 5 minutes and I told staff 2 or 3 times that we were ready to begin. We were told to wait because another group still had time left to use, but I knew already there wasn't another group before us because I'd actually pushed back the original slot by half an hour, from 5 to 530, (only the night before on the phone) to allow for them saying we needed to arrive half hour early. There were 3 outdoor lanes and none of them were in use when we eventually went to them, meaning there was definitely capacity to start us on time, if not a few mins early. Similar for the golf, we were asked to stand at the far end of the bar and wait to be shown through, but then got left there and I had to ask multiple staff members before it actually happened. Event staff (not the bar staff) just seemed a bit too casual and not as customer orientated as they should be, hence why only giving 3 stars for service. It was acceptable, but not the best.

Whilst the pit pat golf was fun, I would say the general atmosphere ruined it. When walking in there looked like there was only a singular person working and they were in the bar. They got our drinks and sorted us out reasonably quickly. The booking was for 7pm, we arrived just before and started probably 10 mins after this. They say on the website it takes approximately an hour. At 7:20 they started coming around when we had just reached the halfway point of the course and said they were shutting in 20 mins so to speed it up if we wanted to get around the whole course. This didn't make any sense to me as we had only been doing the activity for 15 mins when that occured and the place is said to shut at 8. If they are supposed to shut earlier they should specify that on the website and not let you book slots on or after 7pm if they're just going to rush us so they can shut the place 20 mins early and go home. The experience felt rushed and it felt like no one wanted to be working there. There was a group of 6 behind us who started about 10 mins after we did and they did not even get half way when we all had to leave. So, overall whilst the pit pat golf itself was fun the rush and the getting everyone to leave early ruined the energy a bit.

We enjoyed the baseball game, and it was a decent experience overall. However, felt improvement is required for an even better experience, for example, by updating the equipment. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and went over and above.

Visited yesterday as a group of friends, booking was for 230 however we arrived early about 1 with the plan of having a drink first. Got to the bar one person serving whilst four other members of the staff were stood at the end of the bar chatting. Waited at least 5 minutes to be served. The lady at the bar had a face of thunder on her (perhaps if I was the one left to do all the work I would too!), she muttered what I think was ' "what you want". She then proceeded to look us up and down with what I can only describe as a moody demeanor. She put the drinks on the bar and as we had ordered different beers we asked which was which, a perfectly acceptable request you would have thought. "That's the IPA" she grunted whilst rolling her eyes. Well I ordered a defender as stated on the label, IPA was not staring out at me! As such I said so which is the defender, she pointed and almost shouted "that's the IPA". At this point I went to another member of staff and asked to speak to a manager, WHY! he exclaimed. Erm to make a complaint. The 'manager' came and I say 'manager' as he could have quite easily been someone who has just walked off the street. I explained I wanted to complain about the rude and slow service be just looked at me blankly and kept saying "oh...ah". Literally that was it, couldn't look more uninterested if he tried. He didn't ask any questions, say what he would be doing any it, thank us for the feedback etc... We walked away to play the baseball game we had booked. After the game we wanted to play the remote control racing, when we booked into the baseball game we noted we had an email to say it can be added on for £3 per person. They said yes no worries just let us know when you want to play. We went to another member of staff to pay at which point we pointed out again the £3 email which he said yes no problem. He put the payment through and it was charged at full rate £4.50 each. I had already tapped my card so pointed out his mistake, obviously expecting a refund. He refused as said it was full price, even though 2 minutes earlier he acknowledged the offer! He said no it's now peak and it can't be used and we should "speak to head office". My opinion is he had realised his mistake however he either couldn't be bothered to correct it or didn't know how to. To summarise did we have fun, are the facilities (games) good - yes, would we visit again - absolutely not! The staff are rude, incompetent and quite frankly dishonest. We spent a fair amount of money on games and drinks my suggestion to you is, Digbeth has a high choice of leasure facilities, spend your hard earned money elsewhere!

I’ve tried ringing the floodgate 50+ times in the last hour and nobody has answered, this is terrible customer service, what is the point in having a phone line if you’re not going to answer on a Friday afternoon.

Went to play pit pat table golf and had very high hopes for this new game. Unfortunately it was incredibly "home made" and pretty rubbish all round. Such a good concept but execution was 2/10 at best. Most definitely not worth £10

2 of us played baseball batting. Hot day quite tiring ! 4 people would be better The ball shooting was quite random and some balls got stuck from time to time ? The balls were a bit worn maybe that's why we sometimes got 7 balls sometimes 4 Had a great time though and would go back

A good range of indoor and outdoor activities. I’m a big fan or the new car racing game. That’s super fun. Batting cages are still my fave. There’s a 2 for 1 cocktail offer on at the moment (not sure of exactly times/days) which is competitive for the area, my only gripe is the cocktails taste quite watered down and lack a punch of flavour. The food menu is quite limited, but it doesn’t profess to be a restaurant. We only tried nachos as if the hot dogs are those cheap out of a jar/can style, that’s a hard pass! We didn’t want to risk it. The nachos were decent. Standard really.

We went on bank holiday Monday and it was literally just us and another group there. They have small car racing track where you can sit and steer 15 laps to win your opponents, you can have up to about 10 players! We also did crazy pool which was a raised table top golf corse for pool! The room is dark lit with uv lights and really cool art! A must see. They also have curling and batting cages which looked like fun too!

The idea of the bar was great but unfortunately the experience did not live up to expectation, The baseball machine in the yard kept breaking. After firing out one or two balls it would stop working. We would have to find a member of staff and ask them to reset it. This happened 5-6 times and then gave up. The staff offered us a free drink or to reschedule which was not possible. Overall expensive for what it is £50 for one hour

We visited the floodgate for my sisters birthday on the Saturday. We had a brilliant time, such a great laugh and the staff were the nicest bunch if people, especially the young lady and man who were working on the front desk at the time!

Really poor…so disappointed. I booked for my 40th birthday as an article had rated it the top place to visit in Digbeth. Staff were moody, unhelpful, inattentive and the cocktail making was so careless I paid £9.80 basically for a lemonade. Ppl were playing the games for free and throwing things around and it was crazily overpriced. Gutted and would not go back, hope they get something sorted as it was a joke with bad vibes.

We booked this for a stag do and it went down a treat. We all enjoyed ourselves. Great range of games, drinks and food. The staff were all friendly and professional. Would highly recommend
