It is a lovely looking pub but the food was very poor We had a traditional breakfast and it was cold the bacon was well charred tasted burnt the only good bit was the slice of toast. This was the worse breakfast I've ever had. The following day we went to St John Moore weatherspoon and it was a really good breakfast well cooked and tasty. I think some weatherspoons need to refresh the cooking procedures as food needs to be properly cooked and be correct temperatures as a lot comes out to the table tepid.

Not a good experience. It was far too overcrowded, to get in and out of our seats it meant briefly blocking the throughway, two rows of tables, there was no space to get in and out of the seats on the opposite side of our table. The food, well, one of the worst meals we've ever had, I ordered ham egg and chips, everything was cold, my partner's fish, the batter was so bad , overcooked, to the extent that the fish was actually half the size. The whole place is an accident waiting to happen.

My friends and I were going inside to meet with people and to mostly sit down cause we were walking for a while. But on the way there one of my friends foot was hurting from her high heel so we helped her on the way there however as soon as we stopped the bouncer said that she was drunk and instantly refused cause we helped her walk. We were telling him that her foot was sore cause she had been wearing it for hours which he then responded with “other girls were wearing heels too and there feet weren’t hurting so how is hers”.

My friend and I recently visited Wetherspoons for some food and drinks. I ordered both, but when my drink arrived, the server asked for my ID. That’s when I realized I’d forgotten it, so I apologized and explained. The server was understanding and said my friend could have the drink since she had her ID, which was perfectly fine with me. However, a ginger boy came over with my friend’s drink and rudely asked for our IDs again. When I explained I didn’t have mine, he aggressively snatched the drink away without a word. I then politely asked if I could get a refund, and he snapped, “No, you can’t. You shouldn’t have ordered a drink with no ID.” His tone was unnecessarily rude and condescending, like he was trying to make a scene. An older woman at the table next to us even commented after he left, saying how ridiculous he was being. I’m 24 and it was an honest mistake, but his attitude was completely uncalled for. It was especially disappointing after the first server had been so polite and understanding. His behaviour left a terrible impression and ruined the experience.

( I'm not standing in the street for 20 mins when your 35% full ya 🚀) So Wiffy and I knew where to go and get sorted out for breakfast. Tbh, the food wasn't as warm as I'd like it, and the eggs were left under the lamps for too long, so they had baked. However, the service, as always, was spot on, especially as the card payments were offline, and it was a que of app welding " who carries cash these days?" Complainaints 🙅‍♀️🙅. We ordered food and drinks on the app. and were amazed when the food was delivered in less than 5 minutes with drinks following shortly afterwards. We have visited many Wetherspoons in lots of different places. This has to rate as one of the best we have ever visited. Food was hot and tasty, service was fast and friendly and there were quite a few members of staff clearing and cleaning tables, an area often neglected in many Wetherspoons. Based on this visit we can highly recommend.

JD Wetherspoon has become so bad that I always leave with a clear "remember why you shouldn't go there" in mind. Problem is that sometimes you forget, or you are in a hurry..In this case, I got a burger who's patty and also buns were charcoal black. I asked for another one "because it was badly burned" and I got the same buns and different patties. I eat the latter left the buns, there is one slice of tomato and 2-3 shreds (approx. 10g) of salad in the burger. The diameter of the patty is less than 10cm, and the thickness less than 2cm. It is just ridiculous..Some pathethic (did not count them) fries nearby for decor. Just BAADD.

Mediocre pub food that you either order at the bar or on the app. Understaffed so I didn't get my can of fizzy drink until after I was done with my meal. We mostly had to clear our own table because there wasn't enough staff and you could see dishes piling up all over the restaurant. Really loud, though the building is pretty and the booth was ok. The bar service was abysmal. I waited, wallet in hand and looking alert, next to a guy trying to pay for food with cash. We were both frequently ignored over young women coming straight to the bar. After about 20mins of this I gave up. If I was the other guy I would have just walked out without paying. I doubt I would return as Glasgow has much better places to eat and drink. It was mid-afternoon in a snowy Glasgow and after seeing the movie Maestro (lifestory of composer Leonard Bernstein) at the nearby GFT we were in need of a late lunch; somewhere can-do, cosy and welcoming. At The Salon we were offered all that and more. Welcomed from the minute the door was opened for us, we found the staff attentive and caring - nothing was too much trouble. In tribute to Maestro Bernstein's New York, I had a Reuben sandwich. Food and wine came quickly and was delicious. By coincidence, our friendly and efficient server was called Felicia - the same name as Mrs Bernstein. The movie references aside, here is a venue where you can feel relaxed and looked after. Reminded me of the atmosphere in the late lamented Rogano. Good mix of people including a newly married couple, hotel and spa guests, and walk-ins like ourselves. Would it be too cliched to say that 'There's A Place for Us'!

If you want a nice hot, tasty, home cooked, good value breakfast, GO ELSEWHERE! Where do I start? I ordered the full all day breakfast, at £9.50, it was not cheap and when it arrived , not looking very good value. The positives. The rosti, beans and toast were nice and hot. The negatives. 2 sausages the size of chipolatas lukewarm. Mushroom stone cold. Streaky bacon, well undercooked, greasy and stone cold. The poached eggs were meant to be soft. They weren't and again barely lukewarm. I complained about the bacon and was brought another plate of cold, greasy undercooked bacon. I again complained and the waitress said she would get me a refund. I said I wasn't wanting one. However, a few minutes later, Jocelyn the restaurant manager appeared to let me know we could have a free hot drink but no way was I getting the refund which I hadn't asked for! Apparently it was no ones fault. I learned that everything is cooked, sorry heated to pre programmed times and temperatures. Also, and perhaps the worst. The poached eggs are deliverd in a little plastic pod with water, I assume partially cooked , and put into hot water to set. YEUGH! Pity they weren't in a shell like other eggs. My wife had the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Obviously not fresh made, just heated. Her bacon was the same as mine. At £8.50 it was a disgrace. We won't be back. M&S was always known for quality. What has happened?
