A charming traditional pub that makes a nod towards the railways, with signage from nearby stations and railways of old. They have a real fire, live folk music and a sweet/ tuck shop. Definitely worth a visit. *Update. The pub only accepts cash. They accepted card payments during Covid because they had to, but have now reverted to cash only. Make a mental note, as I forgot and the nearest cash machine is outside the Co-op

Called in with friends at opening time after a walk in the surrounding area. Friendly welcoming pub, good selection of ales and malt whisky. Bought a bag of crisps to try the food!! Very evident that the Cotton Tree was very popular even mid afternoon on a Thursday and I am not surprised. If traditional is your bag than give this place a try.

Unique in as much there's no music or slot machines. Very popular in the evenings despite is small in floor space. The landlady Jane runs a tight ship. Frequently occupied by many regulars, many friendly characters Food is limited to cold pies or crisps. Once a month, the pub hosts a Bluegrass band that plays novel often amusing music American style. It's probably the best pub in Bollington that attracts a certain clientèle. Highly recommended.

We stayed at shrigley hall so decided to take a walk into Bollington as it was only around a 30 minute walk, after having a good walk around for an hour or so we decided to have a drink so we called into the cotton tree pub, upon walking in we was quite surprised how quirky and welcoming the place was,we got chatting to the locals in there and they made us feel so relaxed that we ended up having several drinks in there before heading back to shrigley hall. Would also like to give a mention to Jane the owner who was serving behind the bar and also made us feel very welcome in her pub. I would definitely recommend paying a visit to this lovely pub where you will be welcomed with the warm hospitality you would expect from a place like this,we will definitely return one day, love the place 😊 sorry no pictures as was getting drunk 😀 but plenty online.

A fantastic quirky, interesting and welcoming traditional wet pub. Family run supportive of the local community. There are locals at the bar, walkers who are passing and dogs (accompanied by owners) who receive biscuit treats. The interior changes with the seasons and outside is a hidden gem of a mill town garden. Ale drinkers appear happy, a splendid selection of scumpy cider and all the other alcoholic and non alcoholic options you could want. Even traditional jars of sweets on the shelves for you to select. In or around bollington....well worth a visit.

We ordered our wedding cake from Cherry Blossom Bakery and would definitely do so again. It was so tasty and looked so beautiful (I'll try to add more pics when we get them from our professional photographer). Importantly for us they made a tier of the cake gluten free (groom has a wheat allergy) and it was a hit -- incredibly tasty. They also made some vegan cupcakes so all our guests could enjoy a taste. All our guests loved it and we can't thank the team enough!

We placed a custom order for my sisters baby shower and the day before the party we had to cancel due to the baby arriving very early. They were so understanding and accommodating during such a scary and stressful experience. Most vendors were rude and inconsiderate. Chocolate Etc. response was caring, sympathetic, and eager to help. I have enjoyed their products in the past as they are made to perfection and delicious. I will now be ordering here for every single event because good customer service and products are hard to come by now a days! Work with them, you won't be disappointed!
