Probably our 20th visit to this lovely pub. A great selection of local beers along with usual stuff on tap. Amazing food, the highlight of our trips to Llandudno. We're back again next month!

We discovered the place last year while we returned from a hiking on Snodon, and we decided to visit Llandudno for his attractions. Recommend for nice food and diversity of local brewery.

Great service, nice selection of beers, and generally nice venue. The food, was at best - average. Big hair in my starter and a small piece of overcooked pie meant decidedly average food. Came here due to the good food reviews, was underwhelmed.

I was a bit unsure after reading some of the negative reviews but we had visited this pub a couple of years ago when visiting Llandudno so gave it a go. We were not disappointed. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and polite throughout our visit. My mum and I had the steak pie which was delicious - SO much steak! We had a really lovely evening and will be returning.

Tried to book a table but fully booked, fortunately we popped in and found one table spare in the bar. Lovely atmosphere on a sunny but blustery day with lots of families and people chatting. Ordered from a menu with way too many tempting options and plumped for the mexican chicken salad and pork chop for my friend. Her huge pork chop arrived which was melt in the mouth and served with crispy potatoes and leeks in a ceeamy mustard sauce. My salad had mango, avocado and lots of totally lush flavoursome veg and pull apart chicken in a beautiful tangy sauce. Although replete we saw tonka bean creme brulle with pineapple and spiced apple with lemon shortbread. We decided to share one and it was a slice of heaven in a dish. Whenever we come to Llandudno, about 4 times a year, eating here is always a highlight and yet again we werent disappointed. Staff are friendly and the service, second to none!

Really cosy pub with great food! We were there early after a hike and could still eat something, I think you need a reservation for later in the evening. But the food was incredible and the service really great! Highly recommend!

Had my Sunday lunch here and was absolutely lovely x service was so quick, the staff so nice ,the food was just wonderful x and the venue is full off charm x definitely be back soon x

My wife and I decided to stop and have a bite to eat before continuing on our journey. Some friends recommended this place so we gave it a go. What a complete let down and waste of money that was. We ordered 2 fish and chips in beer batter. When it arrived, it looked anemic, both looked and tasted like frozen fish and chips out of a packet. The batter was soggy, the fish was dry and the chips were very pale. Nothing like the image displayed on the menu. Not what we expected for £14 per plate. Told the waitress and she agreed it all looked a bit pale and not very appetising. She went away and came back saying she spoke to the so called chef saying he was sorry and would take the criticism on board for future reference. Not happy at all with our experience, will not be going there again and definitely would NOT recommend this place. Save your money and find somewhere else to eat.

We had heard good things about this place so thought we would give it ago it was Sunday and busy but we had reserved a table so got in we both had roast beef dinner we got a one boiled potato two roast potatoes red cabbage and cabbage plus beef one pint and one white wine the cost £54 very poor for the money you pay

After reading many reviews about this place we was super excited to have dinner here……unfortunately it wasn’t what it lived up to be, this experience had to be one of the worse in customer service, we have ever experienced. When we arrived a guy was on a computer turned and looked at us and said “you alright” I said we have a reservation etc so went to our table……. Took an extremely long time for someone to come over to take our drinks order by this time a table of about 8-10 had arrived and sat in the middle. Myself & my partner ordered a very nice bottle of wine…….. we sat & decided on our starter/main…..we waited & waited & waited eventually I had to ask someone if we could order our starters & mains….. Starters came out extremely fast (like within 5 minutes) Starters were “pleasant” after we had finished a women who seemed like she was the manager/restaurant manager just walked passed out dirty plates…..5 mins later she came & removed them. Then about 4 minutes later our mains came out!!! Didn’t even have time for a breather! I had the sea bass fillet,trout & clam pasta dish which was extremely salty and spaghetti was well over cooked! My partner had the steak costing £30.00 the chips were like roast potatoes & the peppercorn sauce tasted like it was out a packet! Myself & my partner decided we wouldn’t order a dessert due to the lack of attentive of service so we asked for the bill……..a lady handed over the bill…..we sat & again waited waited & waited and eventually the rude “manager” came with a card machine handed it over and left us with the machine!!!!!! We had to go up and say “we think it’s gone through” in which she replied “yep it has” We were both stunned on how shocking the service was!! The table of 8-10 in the middle seemed to be very looked after but it felt like we was invisible. Went to the toliet before we left in which we walked into smelly loos, dirty floors & no toliet roll!!! A very expensive and disappointing £100 spent at this place!

Debated going here when we saw the menu, but it most definitely did not disappoint! Got the Brisket sandwich and side of onion rings, oh my god, best sandwich I’ve had for ages, will defo be back on our next trip!

I took my mrs here on the off chance we could get some scran but we had t booked anywhere. We waited for a seat at the bar as you don’t need to book and then ordered what weee two excellent meals. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. Only down side is they aren’t dog friendly.

Popped in on a Friday lunchtime with no booking but they were able to squeeze us in and we were really pleased as the food was brilliant! There were so many options it was actually hard to choose Staff were lovely and service was quick.

Only popped in for a light lunch . Had the tomato and goat cheese soup ! Wow what a treat it was delicious best soup I’ve ever had 👏👏👏

Great food, friendly service, town centre location. This is a pub with ‘extras’ an interesting history, a lovely atmosphere, well kept beer and good food. There is nothing not to like.

Proper pub in Llandudno just metres away from the town's awful Wetherspoons. A great selection of five real ales and a couple of ciders, with friendly service. A nice choice of beer gardens, front or back. Superb!

Called in for mums birthday (6 adults and 1 child). The team were really friendly and attentive seeing to us quickly. Our two severs regularly checked on us for extra drinks or anything else. Our food was incredibly good from first bite to the last! It was one of those situations where if I was at home I'd maybe lick the plate haha. We ordered a lamb, two steak pies, a burger and two pork chops (soooo big). We were all envious of each others dishes so ended up trying a bit from each plate. The mustard sauce with the pork chop was phenomenal and this is from someone who is not a fan of mustard! Each plate was totally stripped bare and were so full we couldn't manage desert! The menu variety for all courses was superb and certainly offers something for everyone regardless of tastes. Decor wise, The Cottage Loaf is a traditional design with a gastro feel. In winter there are wood burners and you certainly feel like youre in a building with history! Super impressed and will certainly be returning!!

Had a table booked on Saturday at 6 pm with my family. We were served by a very nice young lady called talia. Who was very friendly professional and couldn’t do anymore for us. A credit to the cottage loaf

Unable to give a fill review as found out on a notice near the door we could only sit outside with our dog. It mentions being a dog friendly pub however could not take him inside. When i did go in to the bar I can honestly say it is a lovely place and smelt delicious ! If you are able to I would pop in and hope the food is as good as it smelt!

Nice old world pub with a good selection of drinks and nice food. We called in for a quick drink and enjoyed the company and the place that much we stayed all afternoon.

Friendly, helpful, female staff but surly waiter who doesn’t know what lagers he has available and didn’t follow a basic request for no ice in coke, he offered to remedy this but his attitude was, as I say, surly. The Mexican chicken dish was average, chicken slightly tough, tortilla chips had seen better days, almost stale. The salad was advertised as coming with avocado but I saw none, I complained because the avocado was one of the reasons why I ordered this dish. The waitress offered to take my dish away to remedy this but I said I’d carry on eating but just please bring the avocado to me. The waitress returned with a manikin of more salad which contained a few chunks of avocado & she explained the avocado was normally mixed in with the salad. Seeing these avocado chunks in the manikin highlighted that indeed none had been contained in the original salad served to me. When you’re paying Cottage Loaf prices you should expect not to feel like your being short changed with key items missing which are clearly advertised on the menu

Could not have wished for a better place to spend our evening. Found it by chance and everything from the food to drinks in the bar after were superb. Super stylish and homely, and off the beaten track. A genuine hidden gem and one that rewards those who find it. Can't wait to come back and will be recommending to everyone I speak to in the interim.

Very busy Saturday, we were lucky to get a table! Great food, the lamb was cooked to perfection and the pie looked lovely!

Loved the steak and ale pie. Meat was very flavoursome and tender and it was a proper slice of pie, not a casserole with a crust! We all had different puddings and they were all great. Best meal we’ve had out for a long time.

Lovely place for an evening meal, advise booking. Staff made us feel welcome and the service was brilliant. Good food and a nice selection of Ales. Would go again next time we visit Llandudno.

What a fantastic place. Two tiers at the front heading off to a back room. So eloquently decorated , big flag stones at the bar, heading up to decked second tier. Back room had a great looking fireplace. Nicely lit without being overpowering. Some great beers available. Nice pleasant music being piped through. Staff were friendly and helpful. What a great visit. Well worth a visit. Recommended.

Walked through the pissing rain and cold for 18 minutes to get there to find out their kitchen is closed for 2 weeks via a blackboard outside the door. Could’ve put this information on google maps so people don’t go out of their way to get there hungry, wet and cold only to be disappointed.

We only popped in for lunch. Very nice friendly staff. It was very busy, we were lucky we could get a table. Although, the table had been booked for an evening meal. We enjoyed our lunch so much, we did try to book a table for later on. Unfortunately, they were booked solid.

booked in January for our trip to llandudno in February. Looked at the menu on webstie before we travelled and saw that they were closing for refurbishment on the 18th Feb ,the day of our visit but arrived to find limited menu which was not mentioned on the website and our first choice had run out so dissapointed ,put a dampner on our visit .

Warm & cosy also welcoming when we entered , Staff were friendly , was shown to our table quickly, Service was excellent & we enjoyed our meals , would definitely recommend...

Had lunch here today, the food was EXCELLENT and the staff are of the same quality, polite, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. All at an extremely good price. Good parking opposite and good wheelchair access HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Finally managed to get a table in here on our latest Llandudno visit and wasn't disappointed. Place is simply stunning York stone paved pub Great selection of real ales Extensive range of bottle beers Spotlessly clean toilets Staff who obviously enjoy working there Two beer gardens And OMG the food, is absolutely top drawer, no wonder it's took us so long to get a table, can only describe it as the best pub food I've had, tasty, well presented and hearty. Then when you combine that against the cost of the meal, you really are getting a cracking deal. Two starters, two mains and two pints was £61, and well worth every penny. Will definitely be booking ahead to get in here on any of my future Llandudno visists

Must he our 15th Sunday lunch here in the last few years. Every thing was fabulous the staff even when busy were attentive and help full. We will definitely be going back again

My wife and I came to The Cottage Loaf on Sunday lunchtime but didn't fancy a roast. I opted for the steak and ale pie and my wife the broccoli and stilton soup. Both were delicious, but in particular the steak pie was a triumph....

I've been here a few times now, and there is always a nice atmosphere and a glowing fire.

We visited here whilst on a weekend Stay. This is a hidden gem. We had a 3 year old with us and they were very accommodating. I had the burger and triple cooked chip which were lovely, the bacon and chilli jam with the burger...

Fantastic find in Llandudno. Very warm and friendly place, beautifully decorated and atmospheric. Lots of very old oak beams. Food and service amazing. Highly recommended. Reasonably priced too.

Fantastic vegan roast! The best roast I have had in a very long time. The dessert was delicious too. Lucky to get a table as they were fully booked. Good service, cosy atmosphere.

We had a sunday lunch here. Daughter and myself. She had the lamb dinner and I had turkey. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Staff lovely and friendly. A cosy, homely feel to the place. We have visited previously and always a treat.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch in Llandudno and came across The Cottage Loaf. The place is warm and inviting. The food was perfect, I had the beetroot and feta fritters 👌🏼 ⭐️ The staff were all very friendly. 5 🌟 for me!

A charming pub just off the sea front, up a side street. Greeted by a great roaring fire and friendly staff. The food is to die for. I had the vegetable tagine and my friend had the fish pie. Both were more than adequate portions and extremely tasty. Cant fault the place and will definitely be back. Our go to eatery in Llandudno.

This restaurant was recommended from a few of our friends. The starters were lovely and pudding. The mains were very disappointing. I'm not sure if it was due to being later in the eve but the chips in my main seemed to be over cooked like they'd been cooked twice and the chicken thighs were dry. I personally won't go again. The staff were friendly and lovely inside just the mains let it down.

We chose the cottage loaf for a family meal before going to a show at the theater. Lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Food all tasted great and the chef especially made my daughter a vegan option for off the children's menu. Very tasty vegan options but I would like to see more than one vegan main. Definitely be back again soon!

I often go to Llandudno but this is my first time in the Cottage Loaf. All I can say is I will only ever go there again. The place the food the service was all spot on.

The idea was to have an enjoyable sunday lunch. It was poor. Both our meats were overcooked, also the veg. Roast potatoes just about OK. The 'stuffing' was cut off a block and no taste, For goodness sake can't you get a simple sunday roast...

We have been tonthe cottage loaf a couple of times now. We love it! Haven't eaten there yet, just had drinks, but it's a beautiful building, nestled into the most obscure place down a side street in the town centre. Once inside you are transported to a comfy, cosy, warm country cottage pub. It's always busy with plenty of atmosphere. Service was good, prices slightly above average but worth it for the atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Sunday lunch for 4 - great service, good atmosphere and the food was delicious. There were tables of families, couples and small groups all enjoying a full range of meals. Busy but not noisy.

Hadn't booked but fancied a small plate while we were drinking. Had the spiced potted crab with sourdough and salad garnish. Absolutely delicious as were my friends beef nachos. Unfortunately my salad was a bit past its best and slimey. I did alert the server and was refunded even though I didn't ask for that. Top marks for customer service.

Plenty of vegan options, starters, mains and desserts. We had a traditional Sunday lunch with nut roast, and I had a roasted beetroot starter. All really tasty, good portions and reasonably priced. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. The surroundings are classy, "olde worldy"...

There are some steps internally, but can be avoided. I didn't see a disabled toilet, but the normal toilets are accessed on the flat. Highly recommended, we will continue to visit.

It's a lovely place to just have a drink or go to eat. It's more expensive than some places but if you want something a little more special this is the place to visit. I will never go anywhere else. Fantastic place.
