I was in here minding my business when outside the window two ducks sinisterly looked at me. I could tell they were up to no good and I shrieked loudly. The manager Cathleen quickly saw my distress and lept into action with impeccable professionalism "sir what is the issue, how may we remedy it?" She cried. I pointed dumbfoundedly at the offenders, stammering out the word "dducks". She understood immediately and with tact and grace dealt with the situation. I don't believe those fowl will be a problem to anyone any time soon. Justice prevailed and on top of that my chicken bites were of a more than plausible consumptability

Just a nice Spoons in a great location

One of the better Wetherspoons to visit. Simple but affordable food, everything we had we enjoyed. Good atmosphere for afternoon drinks too. Would certainly return.

Very poor mixed grill ,everything was burnt black well over cooked ,chef should be ashamed of allowing the food to be served. Never have I ever experienced a meal like it in an other weatherspoons in many different parts of the UK

Probably the best spoons pub in the UK.

I only had jacket potatoe with coleslaw but it was heaped with salad and coleslaw. Brilliant meal for the price with a free soft drink.

We were pretty underwhelmed with this place. The food was mediocre, the service only adequate, and the place was excessively noisy and cluttered with neon and decor. If you are American, think of this place as the Applebee's of British pubs. Do not get the hot chocolate. It comes with unlimited refills, but it's self-dispensed from a machine. It tastes like hot water. Their app - the only way to order - was terrible. It was very slow. The in-store wifi was excruciatingly slow and that might have been part off the problem.

Had the vegi breakfast. Best one I've had at a Wetherspoons. Really good

A no-dog policy can come across as outdated and rigid. The restaurant had plenty of empty tables even the tables outside when we arrived ther., Your competitors are starting to recognize this shift in consumer behaviour, they offer outdoor seating and also welcome you with your pet inside— and every table was full, it would appear they are definitely benefiting from increased foot traffic .

Fantastic location, great food and drink all at a reasonable price, nice clean place.

Always a pit stop when ever in Oban sat having a drink watching the big Ferry Dock, ⛴ plenty of sightseeing

Don't come here if you are expecting a steak (as shown on posted menus) you wouldn't get one. The menu is set for quick turn around of dishes. eg burgers etc . Not the best Wetherspoons I have been in.

Menu isn't as big as the rest of the Wetherspoons pubs and I had a curry which doesn't even come with Naan Bread or Poppdums

Two of us had the spicy feast pizza last night, and both of us began vomiting within a few hours. We have now been vomiting over 24 hours, with food poisoning. We arrived in Oban on holiday on Monday afternoon, and have been unable to get out of bed all day, vomiting every 2 hours. Lost an entire day of our holidays. Not impressed to get food poisoning.

Great hotel and location. Limited parking Comfortable and well appointed rooms, but can be cold.

This was my first visit to this establishment, enjoyed my time spent here and has a great selection of drinks and also food.

Stopped in for a beer! Gigantic large restaurant. Reminiscent of a German beer hall The sound volume is very high! Very good prices for the beer!!

What an experience it was, all ages present and yes it was lively and cheap drinking.

Value for money for a drink or quick snack or early breakfast

Well Covid organised. Have to use their app to order which I found difficult but member of staff helped me overcome that hurdle. However app is pretty poor. For instance cannot ask for burger without the bun or choose not to have onion rings. Cannot ask for poppadoms instead of naan bread. You could do all this and more when ordering at the bar so would rate this app as very poor. Updated in 2024. The staff for the most part are delightful but the menu has changed and not for the better. Drinks are more expensive and it's no longer somewhere I would choose to go if there was any choice. It remains very convenient for the ferry terminal.

Beef Madras and a pint of Leffte for £11. What a bargain.

The cleanest Witherspoon pub I've ever been in. Best prices and choices in Oban, dead handy before you get on the ferry. Staff are really friendly and helpful.

Scottish breakfast no lorn ho haggis no tattie scone shocking.

Lovely cosy restaurant. Order food & drink at the bar. Great value for money. Only 1 slight complaint, the lighting could be brighter.

The bar is big,,,There was a good selection of wine and food to order,,,,The view of the sea from the window is also beautiful.

Has always been nice when we've visited in previous years. We suffered from awkward staff and missing items from the orders this year. I'm not sure what has happened, but I would now avoid this restaurant unless the price is the only concern . Oban is full of friendly people, why the staff in the corryvreckan seem so fed up this year I've no idea.

A great place to sit, catchup with friends or family, or just to go out for a great feed and a beverage or two. The food is fantastic, the staff are awesome and it's right in the middle of town. It's an all-around winner !!!

cruel... the tables were dirty, they weren't cleared, overflowing ashtrays, dirty plates on the tables. The staff was unfriendly and not well looked after. We didn't want to order food under these circumstances.

Do not expect good service if you have dogs .rude ignerant argumentive staff

Spacious, comfortable, with multiple services, terrace overlooking the bay, varied draft beers and at a very good price. Great to rest for a while in front of the beautiful bay of Oban

Honestly, one of the worst burgers I've ever eaten. The meat was the sole of a shoe. The beer is well priced and the atmosphere is good. It is the commercial version of a British pub. To drink well

Great place to sit outside and watch tge world go by. Good beer and quick service even though they were very busy.

This is the double American burger. The bar stuff was very friendly. Go here for drinks but don’t go here for food.

The Double American Burger was a complete joke (see pictures). Even Mc Donald’s patties are tastier than the burnt ones on our burgers. Staff was very friendly tho and drinks were reasonably priced. Just go here for a quick drink but not to eat.

Perfect place to eat with kids. Orderring at the bar. Also can sit at the boulevard. A lot of people can eat and drink there.

Like all Wetherspoons, reasonably priced, the app service works, toilets were clean, cocktails were average in quality but cheap.

Been in here maybe 10-20 times in recent years. Food consistency and staff apathy have fallen through the floor. Last straw today with chargrilled chicken breast straight out of a microwave …. Appalling … last visit I’m afraid.

Nice place with really friendly staff. The beer is surprisingly pricey. There was a very limited food menu on my visit. However breakfast was still up to the usual Spoons standard.

3 x fish and chips, from apt, served within 15 mins, drinks virtually as ordered mins, very busy, all staff worked in cohesion and as a team. Chefs, bar, and floor staff well done, from x landlord, professional chef and veterans. Best service in all of OBAN and fish dinner was perfect. Need to send staff up to Aberdeen.

Really bad. Ordered at the bar and was told no pizzas or fish, fine we weren't getting those. Waited 25 minutes after ordering burgers to find out that there's now also no chips. Partners burger was incorrect also when it came out so had to be sent back and mine had nothing but the burgers in the rolls, no salad or anything. Basically avoid this place because what you order is very likely not what you'll get. Staff seemed to be wandering around and avoiding taking food that was ready to go out. Watched a curry sit for 10 minutes under a heat lamp before someone finally took it l. Avoid avoid avoid!!

Food is your typical Wetherspoons food, nothing fancy but the prices are relatively cheap.

Now it is about time that Witherspoon got there act together, we have been all over the UK and this pub is the worsted by miles. The new so-called food menu is an absolute joke. I will not be going in again. The staff needs an apology from MANAGEMENT as to the shift menus as they will need help because it is so bad.

Good place to eat in oban you get what you pay for

Was as if you didn't exist and they couldn't be bothered. The food was straight out of a micro wave and just wasn't presentable or eatable. Great location shame no care for the customer..

Quiet and relaxed, had lunch with my son. Decent food and coffee, friendly staff and a great view of the bay.

Great sized wetherspoons with 2 outdoor seating areas one smoking 1 not smoking Right next to ferry and train station good day to the day for a drink after traveling and had our Sunday morning breakfast before started the return leg of our trip. Will be back

Never have we experienced such an unwelcoming Wetherspoons. It wasn't busy. Other customers told us there was a queue when we were just checking what was on offer, we had no intention of pushing in. Would have had another drink but was totally put off by the atmosphere.

Great value food and drink, the only complaint is the noise due to the design of the building.

Stopped in for a late lunch, good restaurant, can't generally fault a weatherspoons. Food was great, chicken tikka masla and an American burger. Recommend the salted caramel sticky Toffee pudding!

I used to love to go this place, but “luckily”Wetherspoon changed the menu again they increased the price and food quality and quality went down! I ordered an American Double cheeseburger for £11.80 and I received something else,meat was burned ,dry like bottom of my shoes 👞. Terrible food quality and service now ! Easily you can get better food quality somewhere else in the town for the same price.

It's a wetherspoons you get what you would expect...... nice cheap bar food in the area.

Went 3 times last week but on the 3rd time we were disappointed as we only got 1 egg, 1 sausage and no hash browns and the day before there was 2 of everything but we hadn't time to complain unfortunately. The hot chocolate is excellent though with free refills.

Typical witherspoon up to normal standard. Food good beer very good Abbot. Except sea view which lifts the bar a bit will return.

This is a good pub for any occasion. We had breakfast there, and it was very nice and served quickly. Prices are very reasonable as well.

One of the better ones as tables are cleared and cleaned quickly. Service is polite and quick. And where else can you still enjoy a bottle of wine for £13? Just great...
