I took friends here for dinner. Food and service were excellent. It's away from the seafront but worth a visit nonetheless.

Very nice little hotel overlooking Tobermory. The rooms were well equipped and quiet. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. While there, we used the bar and restaurant both nights. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. The food menu was varied and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. There was also a good selection for breakfast and the cooked options were extremely nice.

Comfortable hotel, great food and drink at good prices, friendly staff. Only downside was the steep hill to get up to the hotel from the village

Overall, very good value for money for our stay in the town and as a base to explore the surrounding isles. About 10-15 parking spaces for the hotel – always found somewhere with our car, and was safe and secure. The hotel is at the top of the hill in the town, and there are two directions from which to approach. Google Maps tends to take you up the hill from the main street of Tobermory (A848/Main Street) – there is an extremely nasty sharp turn on the hill (all roads are single car width too!) from this direction; where Back Brae meets B882. Definitely recommend approaching from the other direction (staying atop the hill) by taking the other exit on the roundabout to the B8073. The rooms were decent – probably around the standard you’d maintain in your own home, nothing overly fancy. We were definitely happy with it for the price we paid. Especially compared to other options in Tobermory. Ensuite, wifi, ample room, heating, etc. – even a mini fridge in our room. Rooms were quiet and other guests respectful. We did not spend much time within the room except sleeping, and the views were of the adjacent hotel, but this wasn’t a problem for us. The included breakfast again was good value for money. Think more of a Spoons breakfast (for ‘ordering’), but there were buffet-type pasties, cereals, etc, too. Again, nothing overly fancy, but very much worth the price in our opinion. We didn’t try the dinners/restaurant in the evening, only the breakfast. The staff were lovely and catered to everything that was needed. Whilst atop the hill, it did mean that the hotel was away from the ‘hustle and bustle’ of the town (and associated noise). The walk up/down the hill is 10 minutes or so. Overall, I’d definitely come back here if staying in Tobermory again. Very good value for money, and no complaints. Recommend it if you’re visiting and just looking for a lovely place to stay! Has all the basics and done well.

We only visited for a meal and drinks. My wife had a perfectly cooked steak and toffee crepe. I had a lovely haddock and chips at decent price, but I've given 4 stars because my cheese board was by far the least impressive, and worst I have ever had! Just 3 oat biscuits and a few pieces of virtually tasteless cheeses that had the texture of being dried out, and a tiny bit of chutney. If we hadn't have visited on the evening they offered a half price 'try our new menu', I would have complained as it was so lame.

26 of us went for a meal on rally week. Took over the entire dining room. Food was great and although they were short staffed, they kept the food coming. Definitely 5* service

Forget the silly reviews from people who have hardly reviewed any places. I only post reviews for Pam se I recommend and this is one of them. First thanks to the team and especially the lady who described her self as also a travel agent in the week. She made us so welcome and enhanced our visit. My French friend described the venison hot dogs as the best he had ever tried and he had previously lived in the US. I think the waitress may have mistakenly thought he was joking when he said it but he wasn’t. He continued mentioning it well into the afternoon. My BLT was perfect. And I decided to take a fruit scone home to saviour after our bike ride. I normally judge a place by its scones and these fruit scones were absolutely packed with fruit. Best I have had in quite some time. Clean loos and pleasant outside area. All in all thanks we real,y enjoyed it.
