Not a weatherspoons anymore and no WiFi available at the momemt. It's a cool location, lots of potential if the owners can leverage it. I would go again, for a quiet drink. I think it had 3 customers during the hour I visited 2pm mid week. I hope the independent can survive.

2024 Update: No longer a Wetherspoons. Absolutely devastating for the community. Original review: Our local Spoons, we've been here about six times since moving to the area and we've never been disappointed. The chap with the piercing just below their lip went above and beyond to give us excellent service today, thank you.

Went there for pre drink before the Villa game Its no longer a Wetherspoons and boy you can tell that by the prices 2 pints of beer just shy of £15 was going to order food but then see them bring out what looked like a chicker burger and chips for another customer and that put me right off found another bar around the corner with a better atmosphere and alot cheaper drinks and had a burger from a stall

Unfortunately last night, closing down night, the usual great staff were not all working, another manager with nil sense of the occassion, with her pathetic smiling colleague, who looked 14 yes old, were convinced I was upset because I couldn't get a free drink, which is funny, because they had no Guinness, or the shot I drink, or the craft beer I drink no nothing, and obviously this manager had no opologies, as she was so far up her self she needed to come up for air, along with her side kick colleague who thought they were somthing lol, the bar was trashed, and looked a complete mess bottles were strewn across the back and just looked untidy as were the fridges, this is at 9pm, nowhere near the usual bar staff standard, obviously no last minute kegs were bought in not even for guinness drinkers, which is pretty disgusting when there are a lot of us and it was closing down day, shows the respect and care from mr spoon for his buying punters over the years nasty man nasty company, and the manager that night certainly did not give a toss,I always take my glass back, and my plate, which the usual staff could tell you, so im not a person who has no respect on the contrary, but the terrible manager shouted at the security who I actually have a good relationship with...... in her words, get him out of here like she's judge and jury nasty piece of work these two little girls were, I shall be writing to head office and I'm sure a few members of staff will jump in on the band wagon who are as useless as the two staff I have mentioned, not an issue place is closed, fact I have been drinking in the pub longer than the age, of the two children behind the bar and have 16 years bar experience I can categorically say she was by far the worse manager I have ever come across in a spoons, as for her colleague who just stood there laughing you both should work in a youth club for 10yr olds serving orange juice, not a pub with adults.

Popped into The Coronet for an impromptu meal and drink, excited to see what this once frequented local had to offer under new ownership. We should not have bothered. The pub was virtually empty, yet we stood at the bar to be ignored by a girl who could not have missed us, but did not approach us (we were the only people at that end of the bar), she walked forward and backward for a bit, looking around (without making eye contact) but doing nothing, except stop and go near a wall to use her phone at one point. Another girl walked down to our end of the bar, but she also ignored us, and even more insulting was the way she looked straight through me as she walked back - she wasn't serving anyone either. Eventually, the third girl, who was the only one actually serving customers, came to us and, when asked, directed us to one menu on the bar. We left without ordering anything. There was nothing displayed outside to indicate they served food and no menus on the tables. The bar display was unenticing. The lovely raised seating area at the rear of the pub has gone, and the space is dominated by a large pull-down screen (even though nothing was showing). The only positive I can report from this visit was the security guard who confirmed they did food when he welcomed us in. This is the first negative review I have ever written, but felt compelled to do so because I am so disappointed to see such a large and beautiful space where we once struggled to find a seat on Sundays or match days, looking so sad and empty. I can not see it surviving under current management, particularly if they do not address the calibre of their staff.

The building is beautiful that's the only nice thing that can be said!! It's no wonder this on was one ofnthem chosen to close down. The staff moods are an rollercoaster, sometimes happy to serve sometimes can't be bothered. When ever I have been I have had to ask for a cloth and spray to clean a very dirty sticky table. The food LMFAO I'd never eat here again, who can't even get a burger right, presentation was very poor, and the service was even worse when delivering our food, the man stood they and smiled, it wasn't untill I asked you ok mate, that he turned and walked away. I've seen a lot of comment on here prasing this place, one can know wonder how much alcohol was consumed for them to have a very high review of this sorry pub. Updated.... Since the take over it has become an obismal place with staff looking fresh from prison, rude and hoodrat looking. I would never enter this place again.

2022 review: Great spoons and friendly staff. Closing Night review: The closing nite was a disgrace, the bar started to run dry by midday because they "missed an order". None of the established staff were there. The management that were there, needlessly kicked off at a regular due to harmless banter/misunderstanding about a drink, there was no rapport to be had. It was all quite empty and shallow. Maybe that's cos there was no heating and they silently closed the bar over an hour before last orders. Punters tried to make the most of the day to celibate the old gal. The temp staff made sure that we could not give a just sendoff. Bye, The Coronet :(

Short walk from the underground station, near the Emirates stadium and located inside an old cinema building, in keeping with Wetherspoons theme of converting old buildings. Beautiful inside. Good number of seats however I can imagine on match days it can be busy. Order via the app or at the bar. Food is usual Wetherspoons standards, comfort food- not gourmet. Good prices. Probably the worst Wetherspoon I frequent. Don't get me wrong I like Wetherspoons, have reviewed some of the busiest with the best services like The Montagu Pyke -JD in Central London... The service in Coronet is always slow, you can have 7 service staff (busy bodies) at the bar but you will still wait on queue for over 15minutes... Food options either not available or just plain poor quality of food. Table clearance next to zero and yes, it's dirty. I would never recommend this outlet.

After 90 minutes of trying to keep two kids entertained without even receiving our drinks I asked for a refund. What a terrible experience and a waste of our morning. It was a match day and it did get very busy, but that's why we arrived early when there still loads of empty tables. It's a shame it's on the cards to be closed! I do hope it's not as on a match day the place is packed solid but the staff are always welcoming and the door staff are friendly but not in your face as a lot of security do in establishments. I've had a few meals here and though at one time my order was forgotten, but the staff were very apologetic I've found no fault. The only down side is the mens loos, remind me of the Dublin Castle loos 😂 Apart from that the decor is still in good condition from when a cinema. Worst spoons I've ever been in. The two black girls behind the bar were so rude and do not say please or thankyou (or anything at all) to customers at the bar they just look at you. I don't know how "Leah sparkles" passed a job interview. The white girls were smiley and friendly. And this is nothing to do with race, just the way I am describing the staff. The manager is a decent guy I feel sorry for him. My friend complained about her food and the chef came out of the kitchen and started gobbing off to her.
