Really horrible place. Food widely overpriced. Told that my wife and I would have to buy a drink before being given a passcode for the toilets. Easiest the worst pub I have ever set foot in! Please avoid!

Bad beer! Avoid any of the ales. Lager seemed fine, food was fine but we didn't stay for long. 3 different beers all were off, the London pride was drinkable but a little on the turn. The adnams and the tribute made me want to throw up. 🤢🤢🤢

A spacious pub in a former cinema. It was a Wetherspoons but is now under different management - when we visited on a Monday afternoon it was almost empty - I imagine it might have been busier were it still a Wetherspoon. Two of the draught beers we asked for were off - no doubt a consequence of lower demand at the time, however they were replaced without quibble. Worth going in just to see the interior.

A timeless bar in northeast London and the historical and level of pop-class has become inferior to the middle, treating them to some reasonable extent, toilets need cleanliness and tidy. I recently visited The Coronet on Holloway Road, and it’s such a fascinating pub with a lot of history. It used to be a Savoy cinema, and much of the original decor is still intact. The high ceilings and beautifully preserved walls really give it a unique and nostalgic feel. There are also plenty of old photos displayed, showing its history as a cinema over the years. As it’s a Wetherspoons, the food and drinks are affordable and cheerful, making it a great spot for a casual visit. They’ve even got a lovely outdoor seating area in the garden at the back, which is a nice touch. It’s definitely worth a visit, even if just to admire the decor and soak in the atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out!

Whoever has bought the Coronet is clearly running it down so as to be able to say it does not work as a pub ..... and then to redevelop it in some way. The new owners are not running it in a way that makes any commercial sense if they mean to keep it open as pub in the long term..... it looks a mess on the outside with no attempt to even paint it or look after the flowers ..... drugs being taken outside the building.... cheap security screens put up ..... no wonder it has no customers (other than match days).... When it goes up for sale we must fight redevelopment!!

Sadly, this place has been ruined by new management, it's being run into the ground by too young and inexperienced staff who throw people out at their whim (from what I've seen), play extremely loud blasting music so that no one can hear themselves speak, and when not playing music, play the TV loud too even though they have subtitles on. Sometimes, they play both together. So sad. The place used to have a steady stream of loyal people who would come here regularly. Now, it is mainly empty with a few tables of people dotted here and there, the regulars have obviously voted with their feet! One small mercy is that I can't see it lasting like this, they cannot be making a profit, and hopefully, it gets sold to someone more experienced with better staff to manage it. Or...the owner would prefer to develop it into apartments 🤦‍♀️. A tragedy - come back Wetherspoons, all is forgiven!!

2024 review: Terrible terrible terrible, I so saddened at how absolutely terrible this place has become. This used to be known for a place to chill and have a cheap pint. Now you are blasted by a horrible sound system, not EQ'ed on a jukebox. You cannot take a call anywhere in the venue, there is no quite space. And £2 pints are now £7+. On match day it's even worse, the owner has spent £50 down CeX for a led boombox and turns it up to 11, I swear she used to do noise torture for the CIA. RIP, The Coronet 2024 2022 review: Great spoons and friendly staff. Closing Night review: The closing nite was a disgrace, the bar started to run dry by midday because they "missed an order". None of the established staff were there. The management that were there, needlessly kicked off at a regular due to harmless banter/misunderstanding about a drink, there was no rapport to be had. It was all quite empty and shallow. Maybe that's cos there was no heating and they silently closed the bar over an hour before last orders. Punters tried to make the most of the day to celibate the old gal. The temp staff made sure that we could not give a just sendoff. Bye, The Coronet :(

Unfortunately last night, closing down night, the usual great staff were not all working, another manager with nil sense of the occassion, with her pathetic smiling colleague, who looked 14 yes old, were convinced I was upset because I couldn't get a free drink, which is funny, because they had no Guinness, or the shot I drink, or the craft beer I drink no nothing, and obviously this manager had no opologies, as she was so far up her self she needed to come up for air, along with her side kick colleague who thought they were somthing lol, the bar was trashed, and looked a complete mess bottles were strewn across the back and just looked untidy as were the fridges, this is at 9pm, nowhere near the usual bar staff standard, obviously no last minute kegs were bought in not even for guinness drinkers, which is pretty disgusting when there are a lot of us and it was closing down day, shows the respect and care from mr spoon for his buying punters over the years nasty man nasty company, and the manager that night certainly did not give a toss,I always take my glass back, and my plate, which the usual staff could tell you, so im not a person who has no respect on the contrary, but the terrible manager shouted at the security who I actually have a good relationship with...... in her words, get him out of here like she's judge and jury nasty piece of work these two little girls were, I shall be writing to head office and I'm sure a few members of staff will jump in on the band wagon who are as useless as the two staff I have mentioned, not an issue place is closed, fact I have been drinking in the pub longer than the age, of the two children behind the bar and have 16 years bar experience I can categorically say she was by far the worse manager I have ever come across in a spoons, as for her colleague who just stood there laughing you both should work in a youth club for 10yr olds serving orange juice, not a pub with adults.

Used to be a wetherspoons, changed of management recently and they are trying to improve the experience. They now show match day games, have music, friendlier staff. One thing that I don’t like despite being a regular for over 6years is on game day especially when Arsenal plays, an amstel goes up from £3.70 a pint to £4.80 despite the menu still showing £3.70. A lot of the staff from the wetherspoons days no longer works here, they have a tip jar if you’d like to tip, a nice touch. Great number of screens to watch the game. Avoid when arsenal plays as you apparently (despite being a regular) need to show you have a match ticket to enter. Despite being a regular I was denied entry. What I do like is even after the change of management and it is no longer run by wetherspoons, beer is still one of the cheapest in London. If you have a staff member called Leila (hope I spelt her name correctly), she is a gem

Popped into The Coronet for an impromptu meal and drink, excited to see what this once frequented local had to offer under new ownership. We should not have bothered. The pub was virtually empty, yet we stood at the bar to be ignored by a girl who could not have missed us, but did not approach us (we were the only people at that end of the bar), she walked forward and backward for a bit, looking around (without making eye contact) but doing nothing, except stop and go near a wall to use her phone at one point. Another girl walked down to our end of the bar, but she also ignored us, and even more insulting was the way she looked straight through me as she walked back - she wasn't serving anyone either. Eventually, the third girl, who was the only one actually serving customers, came to us and, when asked, directed us to one menu on the bar. We left without ordering anything. There was nothing displayed outside to indicate they served food and no menus on the tables. The bar display was unenticing. The lovely raised seating area at the rear of the pub has gone, and the space is dominated by a large pull-down screen (even though nothing was showing). The only positive I can report from this visit was the security guard who confirmed they did food when he welcomed us in. This is the first negative review I have ever written, but felt compelled to do so because I am so disappointed to see such a large and beautiful space where we once struggled to find a seat on Sundays or match days, looking so sad and empty. I can not see it surviving under current management, particularly if they do not address the calibre of their staff.

Arrranged to meet with some friends here for some lunch and drinks I entered the pub which was not busy (maybe 10 customers) waited at the top end of the bar to be served eventually a member of staff appeared and told that I had to come down to the far end of the bar to be served as that was where her till was I assumed that the staff came to the customers not in the Coronet it seems I rearrange to meet me friends in the nearby Flynns pub where the staff come to me and were glad to take my money no matter where I stood at the bar

Used to love this place when it was a Wetherspoons but now it's just disappointing. Zero atmosphere, menu has so many typos and we were told a lot of it was wrong. Food came out wrong, was lukewarm and not good at all

I’m never sure when this place is open, this is my first chance to try. Staff are pretty - very - grumpy, maybe don’t run or work in a pub?! Forever been curious but I’ve ticked that off now, not for me. Deffo not dog friendly as they have a cat, which is cool but good to know.

Compramos 1 macchiato (1,40 ), 1 croissant y 1 americano blanco (1,80 ). Nunca volveremos!

Shocking rude violent staff inc bar staff! Such a shocking experience I would avoid this establishment. We had to call the police against the door staff as they assaulted us and physically through us out violently.

Speedy and friendly service. Jukebox. Scampi fries. Chocolate. Outdoor area. Take-outs permitted. All you need for a passing refuel- glad it re-opened!
