The Cornish Bakery in Dumfries & Galloway

Very disappointed. Lukewarm coffee, cold sausage rolls, very slow service. Redeeming feature, the delicious fruit scones. Tasty, fruity and enjoyable. Overall, overpriced and not impressed

Stopped in at services on way to Blackpool had traditional pastie’s sausage roll pastry and coffee. Service was excellent and food very tasty as was the coffee well worth a visit better than a fast food option

My wife and I stopped at Annandale Services for lunch on our way down to Worcester. We saw the usual venues for food were available however when we noticed The Cornish Bakery we thought we would give it a try. I had two pasties and really enjoyed them. My wife had a sausage roll and enjoyed that too. It was a sunny, warm day and we appreciated the view, over the lake outside, from our table. We would stop at Annandale and eat at The Cornish Bakery again.

At Annandale Services there is a fantastic Cornish Bakery serving brilliant pasties that are prepared in Bodmin and brought north. What is as great as the food is the amazing service from the team. Really going the extra mile to make it an enjoyable experience. Well done to you it really brightened our journey.

A variety of places to dine in the services but this wins hands down, sandwiches were more reasonably priced & coffee much nicer than McDonalds or Costa, ladies serving were nice too.

Just enjoyed a lovely raspberry croissant and cup of tea beautiful services to stop a have a walk around. Well worth a stop.

I love a well made Cornish Pasty, full of meat and potato. What I bought here was potato pastie with a bit of meat at each end, in pastry with inedible edges. Eaten many a Cornish Pasty in Cornwall on holiday - these were not even close. Perhaps a machine made them? You can do a lot better I am sure. Very disappointed.

Went here to stop for a bite while travelling. Staff were shouty and not polite. Sausage roll did taste nice but we were handed a hot chocolate that was already spilt and dripping and had no detectable chocolate flavour. Not impressed.

The most amazing Cauliflower & Onion Bhaji Pasty. It was so tasty I had to buy a second one to take home for my wife to try :-) Nice coffe too. Friendly staff.

Stopped here for a quick stop on our trip to Manchester and were very looked after by Julia, Pauline & Elaine. Great staff and would be back again.

Lovely service and some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. High street prices for coffee rather than service station prices. Will aim to stop here for a break again next time. Comfy and plentiful seating too.

This is a fantastic place to eat, the staff are just brilliant, the food unbelievable good. I would definitely be back here, and make this my preferred stop for food great value Just brilliant

Lovely little place at the motorway services. Everything so tidy and clean. Polite staff. Great tasting food and good coffee.

If you want a change from the usual fast food offerings then this is a good option.Tasty and reasonably priced.

This was a very welcome addition to the Annandale Services on the A74. Delicious coffee, hot chocolate and pastries. Well worth a visit!!

This is new at the Annandale water services. What a refreshing change to the usual fayre. Lovely toasties plenty of filling and flavoursome, tea coffee were hot and staff happy to give additional milk, hot water etc Thank you to Jennifer and staff a cheerie...
