Found this cafe on a hot day and were welcomed in with our dog. Service was friendly and fast. Happy to provide water for our dog too. Quaint little place and the facilities were spotless. Will be back to try out the craft/painting side of the cafe soon with my daughters.

The creative cafe now has a separate tea room next door. Visited this week and was lovely, offering beans or eggs on toast alongside lovely cakes! Worth a visit

Tried to visit this cafe yesterday with my wife whilst in the area for a week. Looked nice, 10.30am on a very breezy morning. Opened the door to enter with only 1 lady with a young child sat at a table. Straight away we were asked by a member of staff sat behind a desk if we had booked in. When we said we hadn't but just wanted a hot drink we were told we couldn't unless we booked in to paint our crockery. We declined and went elsewhere. After leaving the other cafe we walked past the corner house. It was empty. We walked around Watchet for an hour, walked past the corner house and guess what,,,, it was empty. I know they offer a takeaway service next door but when you want a seat or to get out of the cold for a hot drink what good is that. Give this place a swerve. It's not a cafe.

Really lovely cafe. Enjoyed time with my little girl creating our masterpieces. Can't wait to collect the finished articles!

I came here with some friends to have coffee and was feeling hungry so decided to have the cream tea. It came out with a good helping of cream and jam, I had the local whortleberry jam which was delicious. The scones where amazing and when I spoke to the lovely staff I found out the chef makes them herself. Nicest scones I've ever had.

We had the crab cakes and quiche both of which were really flavoursome and came with super fresh and generous salad. Next we had a cream tea, with the best homemade scones and local jam (and clotted cream). Great service to top - we were made to feel really welcome here by all the staff we saw with the attitude that nothing was too much trouble. Super efficient too.

Visited a couple of times and both occasions the cafe was busy. But the friendly, professional staff are more than capable. The breakfast was so tasty. A great asset to Watchet. Well worth a visit.

Went in for lunch/afternoon tea and received great service for our large group. All the tables were full but they kindly made us lunch and drinks to takeaway. They were friendly and the food was delicious, especially the large scones! They carefully packaged everything for us and made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

I loved their hot chocolate and toasted teacake served with lots of packs of butter. My husband and friends loved the cream teas with clotted cream and a variety of jams.

We can never resist coming to the Corner House when we're in Watchet. Such a delight with lovely attentive charming staff and tasty generous portions.We sat opposite the window and could watch the activity on the harbourside near the statue of the Ancient Mariner. Such a treat!

We had a lovely lunch here during the summer. We didn't wait long even though they were busy and the food was freshly prepared. Great range of homemade cakes too.

The most friendly and widest menu small restaurant I have experienced for a long time. Staff were tremendously friendly and attentive to individual requirements even though it was extremely busy. Diners are directed to notices confirming all meals are made freshly when ordered and a wait may occur. For our party of 6 people - all ordering different meals - the wait was approximately 10 minutes. Portions were large, hot and presented well. There is absolutely no doubt that we will return again during our short stay in the area. A little jewel!!

Stopped here for a cream-team and ordered the gluten-free version. The scone was huge and there was plenty of jam and cream - it was good! In fact, it was so good I had to get my wife to check that it was gluten-free - and she could tell that it was - but you know if you've been eating gluten-free for years you forget what the other stuff tastes like but this is definitely cream tea heaven.

We just called in for a coffee, but we received a friendly greeting, good service and good coffee. The menu looked good and others were tucking in with gusto, to above average café grub.

We had a delicious breakfast here when exploring the town after stopping on the steam train over the weekend. We had 2 piping hot delicious coffees with it and it all really hit the spot. The breakfast was big and tasty with lots to enjoy and the staff where smiley and polite. When we next come back to watchet we will be returning. Big thumbs ups

Visited at midday on a Sunday, it was very busy but we were given a menu as soon as we arrived. We had sausage sandwiches and tea for two, all lovely, really friendly staff, a very pleasant experience.

Wonderful little place just of the harbour with god views looking out and plenty of tables inside. It can get a bit busy at times as the food is amazing. We tryed the cream tea and were more than pleased. It consisted of Miles Tea and prefectly cooked scone, with choice of jam and clotted cream. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful would highly recommend.

Stop off for afternoon cream tea after another day exploring the area. The cafe is situated on the corner just off the harbour. It is quite a busy little place with plenty of tables to sit. The cream tea was wonderful served with miles tea in a pot, and the friutest scones I have had for sometime warm and with a choice of jams and of course clotted cream. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very welcoming and friendly recommended a stop for something to eat.

We came here on our holiday to Watchet and found this absolute gem. We went here a few times in the week and loved it every time, such great coffe and amazing food. We did have to unfortunately go to another cafe in watchet when we came down a bit late. Lesson learned as it wasn’t a patch on here (we made sure to come down earlier after that) Couldn’t recommend it more best cafe in Somerset !! Well done the Corner house team

We called in here after visiting Watchet Market on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch with our two dogs. Inside was lovely to see dog towels and biscuits along with a water bowl outside. The food was lovely- Crab cakes with a salad garnish and for me a huge portion of ham ploughmans with delicious homemade chutney and homemade coleslaw.... mmm.

Lovely place for breakfast, friendly staff, good food and fair prices. Dog friendly as well.

Popped in on a Spring Bank Holiday for refreshments- met by friendly staff who brought our order promptly- the waitress even cut a slice of cake into 4 for us to share - good sport she was !! Will return

We came here again for lunch, this time on market day! We had last been here for lunch on 9th December when everywhere was festooned with Christmas bunting. This place is always full of enthusiastic diners. And no wonder - it's just so welcoming, cute, quaint and clean with good food. The baristas are very friendly. What more could you want? We had cheese sandwiches with salad and crisps. And it was a lot of cheese!! Very generous indeed. And being right on the harbour within sight of the Ancient Mariner statue adds to the special feeling (we had just toured Coleridge Cottage so were in the groove!).

Found the Corner House by chance on a walk around Watchet. Had a light meal but very tasty and staff very friendly. Glad we found it.

This is a great little place with a simple but fantastic menu! The staff are great and the quality of the food is brilliant when you consider the reasonable prices! I shall definitely be back this holiday.

We called in and enjoyed an excellent brunch for 7 adults and two babies. Excellent and quickly cooked food and they were really helpful with hot water for the baby bottles Friendly and happy staff even on busy day. Excellent prices. Totally recommended and we'll be back!!

After a deliberation we decided on 'The Corner House' and we're glad we did, nice and airy with good views out to the side towards the quay. A good menu all set at a reasonable price, when the food came out it was all looking great. We stopped and enjoyed excellent coffee , freshly ground and well presented and a huge slice of beautiful home made cake. Blueberry and lemon was divine and the Capuccino cake was lovely. Friendly and jolly staff even on busy day. Reasonable prices. No nonsense good cake.

We stopped here for lunch during our exploration of Watchet (in the rain) and were welcomed with open arms by a smiley waitress. We had a window seat which looks onto the harbour and is only a few feet from the famous Ancient Mariner statue! All very atmospheric and especially lovely festooned with Christmas decorations. The cafe is very comfy with a homely feel. We had scampi, chips and peas with tea (very nice big mug, great taste) and my friend had a big cup of coffee. We stayed on chatting after our meal, waiting for the rain to subside. The toilets are clean although rather small but adequate. All in all, a very pleasant sojourn in beautiful Watchet.

We stopped in looking for coffee and a place that doesn't mind small and sometimes noisy children. This place is lovely. Toys and games provided for the kids, high chairs, friendly service, and a sweet old dog napping under the next table. Sparkling clean and with a nice view of the harbor. Great pancakes. We came right back the next day. Coffees were great, as was the cream tea.

Visited here after a lovely long walk on the fossil beach and west beach with the dog. The cafe accept dogs and have towels at the front door should your pooch need a little scrub a dub dub!

A Change of Management however under Laura's supervision and guidance the service and welcome remain excellent. Home made cakes cooked meal are available whilst open at reasonable prices which give good value.

My boyfriend and I visit this cafe every time we come to Watchet.

Second visit for me to this cafe. This time I brought a friend who was visiting the area. We had a cream tea, and it was utterly delicious. Friends, you have a choice. You can have strawberry, raspberry or whortleberry jam. I'm local but friend had never heard of the latter, and I could hear others dismissing it out of hand. It's a local berry, and it's delicious, and it goes well with your scones. Give it a try!

We would thoroughly recommend this place. We popped in for some inpromptu lunch with 5 adults, 3 kids and a dog and they were really accomodating to all of us. Brilliant menu with lots of locally sourced stuff and we all enjoyed it. Great service

We visited on festival weekend for breakfast. The food was great quality and well priced. It was a limited menu for the duration of the festival, but good selection of breakfast items. Coffee choices weren’t great (or at least not made visible). I was a bit disappointed that my special request for some extra items to replace the beans/potatoes and toast I didn’t want, was missed, and I was charged full price. But the food was really good quality and the service friendly, so it wasn’t a deal breaker!

We enjoyed lunch here with our daughter and two grandsons (5 and 2). My husband and daughter had the quiche of the day while I enjoyed the crabcakes. We particularly welcomed the good selection of children's food available. Both boys enjoyed the houmous with pitta bread fingers and carrot and cucumber sticks. The service was good and very friendly.

Called in for lunch today as a treat, but it’s been taken over since I was last here. Lunch menu now seems to mainly consist of sandwiches and jacket potatoes, with a few specials. Coffee was good, but the choice of food is now disappointing. I ordered a breakfast as it was just before 1pm, so still available. Sausage was good quality, but a smile as it was served wouldn’t have gone amis. Not sure I’ll go back.

Very friendly staff, absolutely excellent coffee, really good almond and cherry cake and an enormous free dog biscuit for our cockapoo. There's a notice on the door saying they're "very dog friendly", and they are. We would recommend it very warmly indeed to any dog-owners and coffee-lovers.

Went into The corner cafe for lunch. (But having examined the menu thoroughly if u don't get there before 12 am anything substantial is out the window...& no omelette to be had anywhere on the menu..isnt eggs a staple in any British cafe??) But the real issue was how incredibly RUDE the waitress was (soo obviously having a bad day & took it out on us!) When she approached my husband politely asked her if we could have 5 more mintues (I was still looking for the eggs!) But was about to order a pot of tea when she very rudely cut him short & went off in a huff!! We left.

Whilst visiting the pretty harbour village of Watchet, we thought about having some lunch, after perusing the menu outside, we went in, and was greeted with a smile. "Take a seat, we will be over shortly," Our order was taken promptly, and drinks duel arrived. The food, (gammon,egg and chips, and fish finger sandwich) were lush, very tasty. I can only review the food, as the atmosphere was let down a little by a very unruly child on the table next to us.

Almost always you settle for the average at the seaside or on a harbour. This cafe has it all. Good views of the harbour, thoughtful menu, great friendly service, clean and comfortable. They even welcome dogs. Prices no more than elsewhere in Watchet and good range of cakes and buns. This cafe is only 10 mins from the Steam Railway Station.

Called in for a late breakfast snack. Had toast and coffee. Very nice and friendly staff. Looked like they had a nice selection of cakes as well but we didnt try them.

On a wet and windy miserable afternoon we went to this lovely cafe in hope of shelter and warmth and a cup of tea! The owner Lesley was about to close BUT as we wanted some tea she insisted she stay open and look after me and my family! And a marvelous cup of tea and stunning home made cakes then followed. This café always provides good food. The staff are friendly and service efficient. The cakes are home made with a nice selection on display on the counter. The café is in an excellent location by the harbour.

Lovely welcoming little establishment. Ordered beef curry and hot chocolate which didn’t disappoint on a cold day. Served promptly and looked as good as it tasted setting us up for a spot of beach combing for fossils. Enough said.

I visited this cafe and asked the lady behind the counter if there were gluten free options and was told that the chips and fish cakes are gluten free and there is gluten free bread. When another lady came to take my order I said I was coeliac and was told that I could have the bread toasted and also have the chips but it wasn't until I questioned whether the toast is done separately and the chips are cooked separately that I was told that they weren't so they are definitely NOT suitable for those needing gluten free food. I could have had a jacket potato but opted for gluten free cake. It is a nice cafe with friendly staff but disappointed at the lack of knowledge about cross-contamination.
