The Corner House in Luton

Corner House chinese food was a joke, his reply to my first review is an absolute lie and it had nothing to do with pick up we went in to order and waited so get your FACTS right what we complained about was the lack of food quality, who orders chilli beef and it is the colour of an orange lol an absolute joke 😃 just own it your business is going down the pan, like the food lol and you just reply 8 months after I wrote the review your customer service is 🚻

First time trying take away from here. I was eating my sweet and sour chicken, i took a mouthful and realised as i was chewing there was a piece of metal wire (from what i would assume was a wire dish scrubber)… Really upset about this as it put me off eating the rest of my food even though i heard that this place was good from others.

I ordered roast chicken and chips with spring rolls and the chicken was dry as hell, the chips were reheated and hard and the spring rolls were bland. the chef was so disrespectful and didn’t care. will not be ordering again. DO NOT order from here!!

Have never had a bad meal from these guys , been using them for over 20 years and the food is just superb ! Best ribs ever !!!! Rice is nicely cooked and not a sticky mess you get in some places . Chicken balls are not overcooked it’ not full of batter you get a good size piece of chicken in it . Duck is amazing and flavoursome .

Very good Chinese take away , can get very busy some days , but that is just other people agreeing with me about the quality of the food

I don’t usually do reviews but The Corner House is amazing. The food is top quality and is extremely delicious. Customer service is very good and the women working at the till is kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place without a dealt. Best Chinese takeaway!!

Overall I love having Chinese take away and I do have my favourettes , how ever on this occasion we tried this Corner House Chinese Take Away . this was a very bad mistake indeed we spent over £40 for very poor quality food which came out wrong , tastless they got our order wrong not forgetting the shredded duckwhich was not shredded and very cold. we love shredded duck with all its trimmings shredded the pancakes which were cold the duck was left hole and not shredded. Apart from that other dishes were poor in quality in and also size, all i can say is do not go to this Corner house takeaway you will be very dissapointed , it's too exspensive for what you get all I can say is keep clear of this take Away.

I have been coming here for many years, I cannot rate the food highly enough. My personal favourites are Singapore Noodle and Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong style, but I have tried many other dishes over the years and they never disappoint. It gets really busy so best to order and collect.

Had the chicken curry and rice and the food was amazing. One of the best Chinese I ever had. really wish they did delivery though as if they did I would get it wayy more often

Decided to try this takeaway after being recommended was not too bad. Ordered by phone and was told 40 minutes wait bit actually turned out to be more like an hour. Ordered roast chicken and noodles wasn't too bad but the chicken was over cooked although the portion was of a good size. Also tried the special chow mein wasn't too bad although not a lot of other ingredients included in it very little meat or vegetables. Portion size not very big. The salt and pepper ribs were lovely really good. The salt and pepper prawns were good but soggy because of the way they were served up. Average meal

Have been using this place for years. I always enjoy the food here and today was no exception. The portions are good and the prices reasonable. I would recommend!

Been a regular customer at the corner house for years. But the food is going downhill as it's been taken over in the recent years. It's a shame as the food used to be very nice !

We were planning to do a party for my mothers 70th birthday and asked her what she would like and she said she would like to do a Chinese. And insisted we should go to Corner House. But with a planned party for 30; friends and relatives; surely it wasn't possible. But on enquiring, Corner House was more than happy and able to cater for our needs. We pre-ordered our items and also asked for suggestions. On the day we had a large variety of food which were either individually placed in foil or plastic containers. Rice/s and chow mein were placed in large trays and sauces in plastic pouring jugs. There was more than ample of food and over the top extras that we didn't order which were complimentary and the owner also provided us with disposable cutlery. The best part to this order was everyone at the party loved the food and asked where it had come from. I haven't had a Corner House order for ages since getting married and moving but I now understand why my parents love this takeaway and what I have been missing. But if you ever try this Chinese then try their salt & pepper ribs and/or salt & pepper prawns. Their pancake rolls are awesome and so are their chicken balls. They will also do items that's not on their menu. Highly recommend and way the best takeaway.

Prices are reasonable and portion sizes good. Food normally ready quickly, Theres several other Chinese takeaways round Leagrave Village, so plenty of choice, i prefer Blossom Garden but nice to have a change. The roast chicken and noodles is great - very big portion for the price too :)

Have used this Chinese takeaway on many occasions. The menu might be said to be quirky as it also has a split menu for kebabs, burgers and chicken; there's something for everyone. My favourite is Salt & Pepper Ribs and their House Special Chow Mein. For a takeaway it is quite fancy with LCD menu boards which you never see. Queues can be long at weekends but they seem to be very efficient and clean and also has a 5 Star hygeine rating.

Really don't know what's happening to this Chinese take away. Food very salty, chips and gravy absolutely disgusting quality not impressed at all I know everyone has bad days but the food has been like this on the last 4 occasion that we have ordered but because we have been loyal customers for 20+ yrs we are hoping they sort it out.

This place isn't bad for Chinese food it ain't the best tho I love sweet and sour chicken balls but there ones was really greasy and horrible the staff I don't like how they shuv the change back at you

Another Chinese in Leagrave Village, takeaway only but great food at reasonable prices. Food is normally ready reasonably quickly.

Came across this takeaway by chance and have been using ever since. In my opinion is way better than all the other local joints. Brilliant; don't just take my word. Try for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Ring up weekends or you will find yourself in a big queue with a long wait.

I have to say it,s been excellent not just once or twice but as many times as I have been, , Faultless and i have tried many other places before .and if anyone can say a bad thing about it then they are only kidding...

I eat a lot of Chinese/Thai/Malaysian food, I worked in Hong Kong and Singapore and occasionally work in China - this 'Joint' - this is the only way I can describe this 'takeaway', is awful. When I arrived home, hungry, I opened the tempting cartons to find what I can only describe as a 'mish mash' mess of nothing, I ordered a Prawn dish and it had 2 prawns in it!, The Spring Rolls had a bizarre filling,I HAD BEEN RIPPED OFF AND IF THIS REVIEW STOPS ANYONE ELSE BEING RIPPED OFF GOOD!!!

Have used this take-away for over 38 years. We moved from the area, but every so often go and get a take-away. Never had a bad meal yet!

This is a very popular take-away in our locality and that in itself is a recommendation for how the good the food is. It was recommended to us by friends who's experience with Chinese food is comprehensive.We've had a good few take-aways and never a poor one. Although we have our favourites and tend to stick to those, occasionally we do branch out and have made some real discoveries.Service is good but be prepared to wait on busy nights. Telephone your order ahead of time.

I always use to use this great little chinese and did so for many many years.Returned a short time back and the food,my chinese curry and egg fried rice,was as good as it always use to be.They never use to deliver when i lived in Luton,a pity as i would have ordered every other night.Great clean tasty food.Highly recommended.

This Chinese takeaway has diversified into Kebabs and chicken etc as well as Chinese which was worrying. We decided to give it a go and were pleased to see that the quality of the Chinese food has not suffered. Recommended.
