Booked a table for 8 and a high chair, very friendly service and food was amazing, well worth a visit highly recommended.

From the outside it looked a bit tired in places but don't let that put you off as the food and service was very good. Would visit again next time we are in the area.

Went here for a Friday lunchtime, with my daughter and grandparents! Something for everyone! Was a lovely lady working behind the bar who was so helpful and fun with my 4 year old daughter even turned on the bouncy castle for her and she was absolutely ecstatic because of this! Will definitely be returning!! A lot of places could take note about this level of service for family’s with young children

Had a wonderful meal, absolutely stuffed now. Well worth a visit. Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Great choice of food on the menu. Food was amazing, well worth the money. Good selection of drinks. Will be back.

Lovely and tasty Sunday Roast, certainly one of the best carveries around, at a reasonable price. We will certainly going back.

Cavery lunch on a Sunday with six adults and 3 toddlers. Food was amazing, staff very helpful and great value. Definitely going again when next in Cornwall

Amazing food, the garlic mushrooms were sensational, steaks were cooked perfectly - fairly busy so understandable with service as the football had just finished Pleasant atmosphere and will def visit again

A superb meal and drinks out. Our waitress Tia was particularly excellent accommodating our large group and all our different requests. The food was generously portioned, reasonably priced and very tasty, especially the desserts!

Just had really lovely meal. The burger was fabulous the pie was amazing and the service was excellent.

The restaurant was full, but we were served our meal in the pub. A new chef apparently and locals all spoke highly. Very generous steak pie and also the lasagne my husband enjoyed. Very friendly too.

Good food and a nice family pub. The bouncy castle was great for the kids.

My wife and I had the carvery and it was very nice too! The selection of veg was excellent as was the meat. We turned up without booking and were lucky enough to get a table but I would recommend booking in advance as it was very busy and for good reason. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

First time there for a long time and had a lovely meal. Staff young and friendly, Sophie such a confident and friendly young lady. Food was plentiful and fresh 😋 so we will be back.

Stopped in at lunchtime and found the warm fire and welcome really refreshing on a damp dark day. It is a busy place with lots of events going on for the local community. We are already planning our next visit and trying to get a quiz team together. Brilliant place.

Was told over the phone it was best to book for a meal so we did. Table for 2 outside as such a lovely evening. When we arrived it was packed. Every table outside was taken. We went in and was shocked how it was inside. A packed bar and then a room with a pool table. We then saw a waitress taking food to a table in a room behind the bar so we went in there. Even though the sign for the restaurant was showing an arrow pointing to the bar we had just come from. We waited and no one came to us so we stopped the waitress and told her we had a table booked. She gave us a table and we sat down as couldn't be bothered to say we had booked for outside. She didn't leave us with a menu and although she was bringing food to another table and walking right past us, she didn't ask us what we wanted to drink so again we stopped her and asked for the menu. She brought them and walked away again. When we saw her again my husband asked her if the hake was definitely available and she said no and then listed 2 other items not available. Good job we asked. Bad luck for us,as 2 of them were what we wanted. She still didn't ask what we wanted to drink so we asked her. I ordered my drink and my husband asked for a certain lager from a pump. She said she hadn't heard of it and could he spell it he spelt it and showed her which pump it was to which she said, oh we haven't got that one. That was it we decided to leave. The place was a dump and the young waitress could do with some training. We went down the road to the Fox and Hounds to a professional waitress. Beautiful welcome and superb food. And we were told what wasn't available without having to ask. The coppice inn staff could learn from the fox and hounds. I wouldn't recommend the coppice inn to my worst enemy. And I also understood that the Coppice Inn had just had a refurbishment! Beggars belief as to what it was like before then !!!!

Went for a birthday party, never been before. Very nice pub lovely big outdoor area, food menu looks good and varied. Definitely going back.

Friendly service good food and good value for money

So it's been a while since I ve visited The Coppice, and I mean 'a while'. I heard it had new management and as we ve open a Karate club across the road it only seemed fitting to re-hydrate after training. We decided to have some meals and after deciding what to have we ordered. We weren't disappointed. The staff were lovely, the food brilliant and all in all a great experience. Add to the fact 3 of the four teletubbies were in the bar along with Batman, Fred Flintsone, an 80 's rock star, a Saudi Sheik and other colourful characters what started as an impromptu meal and drink turned out to be very enjoyable. We ll definitely be making The Coppice our new post training rehydration stop.

Lovely music from flipside but apart from that not a lot of good to say,had a meal it was frozen chips which was horrible,staff were friendly but the regular customers were rough as rats,there was a local woman there she came in with 4 young children under 7 I would imagine and they ran riot everywhere kicking footballs running around willy nilly while the mother got drunk and I mean drunk more like paralytic not once caring what her kids were doing , the group had musical instruments which cost hundreds of pounds and the kids were running into the band kicking footballs at the band members,disgusting totally disgusting and the staff let them do it ,children should not be there on a busy Saturday night ,I definitely won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, avoid at all cost x

Under new management- Our first time visiting after living in the village for two years. We where very happy with the food and it arrived efficiently and cooked just how we wanted it. Quiz night is on and the place seems popular for it, separate seating area for people having food which is nice. overall happy with our visit and will be back to try carvery :)

Had a lovely meal couple of weeks ago now with hubby and two great friends and our cocker spaniel dog who was very well behaved and enjoyed it too. Wasn't a busy night which was why we took him. I had the steak pie with mash, it was very yummy. The staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough, very friendly even with our dog (who was no trouble anyway). Just a shame was spoilt by a local family's views but their loss. We will definitely be back the next time we are on holiday there because of the staff and food. Thank you 😊

Great friendly staff made you feel very welcome. The carvery was lovely and freshly made, the beef very tender and melted in the mouth. Prices also very good, certainly value for money. Would totally recommend this is the place to eat. Certainly going back for more.

Poor Management, younger more rowdy crowd. Some fighting, poor beer supply most of them have been sold out or not restocked. No bar snacks available. Recently reopened dining Room, I can't comment on the food haven't eaten there. Advertised Entertainment cancelled by management on the day it's due to happen. So in conclusion a poorly run pub .

Good pub grub and selection of beers (Keltic pub) not the greatest atmosphere but quiet with good staff.

A good pint of cider and great for kids. Plenty of parking and out door seating
