Fantastic customer service from start to finish. I emailed to enquire about vegan options not realising that when we were able to arrived the kitchen was likely to be closed. My enquiry was met with open arms and an offer of a phone call from the chef. The dish that was made was really tasty and flavourful there was even the option of a starter. Meg returned to us to ask our opinion on the dish and really took our suggestions on board. Fantastic service Thankyou!

Ate here last night - excellent. Warm and friendly staff, very genuine and welcoming. They are doing a three course set menu at the moment with the restrictions and it was excellent. Lamb fell off the bone and the sauce was beautiful, the curry was delish and everything was home made. Lovely cake to finish. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful find, in an ideal world I wouldn’t write this review as I’d like to keep this little treasure for myself! A real family run pub that’s part of the community but everyone is so welcoming to others (as in the juke box doesn’t stop & everybody stare at you when you walk in) Sarah, her Mother & Hubby gave us some local info and history we’d never had known about, even a waterfall used in the Batman film. The breakfast is highly recommended, the food just kept coming! A pub as pubs should be, we’ll be going again

Stayed here with friends. Sarah, her husband and mom all made us really welcome. They told us all about the history of the area and how welcomed the locals made them feel went they took the inn over. We arrived on the Sunday evening we ate beforehand as they were not doing meals on that particular Sunday but had a few drinks in the bar and felt most welcome. Sarah, the landlady, told us all about the local area and it’s attractions. The breakfast the next morning was huge and some of us struggled to eat it all. The inn just minutes from the National Showcaves, Craig-y-no’s Castle and Country Park and Henrhyd Waterfall which was featured in the Batman movie. Both the Showcaves and Castle were closed when we were there so we will return to the area, once Covid rules are relaxed, and stay at the Copper Beech Inn again.

The food is stunning! The chips are homemade and to die for. It’s such a cosy little place and it really does give off that homely vibe. I guarantee any food that you order will be amazing and they cater for additional dietary needs. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or dairy free! All you need to do is just ask. The staff are lovely too and couldn’t do enough for you. Definitely worth a visit!

Our party of three thoroughly enjoyed the £30 three course set meal for the reduced price of £20. There’s a good choice of food on the menu but the delicious homemade chips deserve a special mention. Because we were full after the first two courses the owner packed the desserts for us to bring home. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. I thoroughly recommend The Copper Beech.

Couldn’t ask for a better service! We were staying over the road at The Abercrave Inn and had an awful experience there so we took a short walk up the road to be welcomed in here! We originally came in for food but unfortunately all the tables were booked. After sitting down for a pint we were welcomed with news that the chef could make us some burgers to take away which we were delighted to hear. Once our food came it got even better... a table had had to cancel and we could stay to eat in. The food was out of this world and may have been one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! An all round quality experience! Good food, good drinks and an outstanding service! Would love to come back again The boys from Cambridge

This is a brilliant gem of a place run by a mother/daughter team. They squeezed us into a fully booked evening, including our dog, for a comfortable beer garden dinner. The food was wonderful and, when thunder upset our dog, Sarah came out and calmed him right down. I can not recommend this place enough to visitors to the Brecon Beacons looking for a great meal.

A perfect end to a perfect trip! We travelled around wales in our campervan and Sarah and Andy let us park in their car park. They were so accommodating and made sure we had the best views of the surrounding mountains. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much hassle. We enjoyed an evening in the garden with good drinks and amazing food. Everyone who worked there went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were even offered breakfast in the sun before we left. We made great friends with their gorgeous dogs and have already told them that we will definitely be back. My stay at Copper Beech has to be one of the most comfortable and welcoming B&B I stayed in for many years. The room was a well-equipped family room with a double and single beds, and en-suite. The owners are continuing a program of developing the business with room changes too. One of my needs was an early breakfast as my function starts early. Sitting next to a lovely fire, on both days I was greeted with exactly what I wanted, at my early time, and substantial fare, cooked to perfection. In the evenings I had very tasty hot meals, and fairly priced drinks. They have a large menu board with which the only problem is what to choose! I would recommend a stay at the Copper Beech very highly, just don’t worry about the creaking floorboards!

MORE AT TripAdvisor

Our stay at Copper Beech was the friendliest, most welcoming and accommodating experience of any hotel, bed and breakfast or AirBnB I've ever stayed in.On arrival after a simple and picturesque bus journey from Neath train station, our hosts immediately showed us to our room and brought us fresh milk (both dairy and soya) to have a cup of tea. The rooms are bright, well decorated and spacious, with an en suite and our own private entrance. Before we left for the event we were attending, we enjoyed a reasonably-priced pint and had a chat with the owner and the friendly locals (who offered to drive us to our venue and even arranged for their family to pick us up). To specially cater for both my friend's meat-eating diet my vegan diet, the head chef knocked us up a very quick but very tasty tomato pasta dish – even making sure it was served quick enough that we wouldn't miss our bus. After a good night's sleep in two comfortable beds, the next morning, we headed back to the bar area where a breakfast table was already laid out for us, with juice, cereal, milk, pastries and cutlery on the table. We were then cooked a breakfast to our specifications. I was offered vegan sausage, vegan spread for my toast, and has mushrooms, vegans and fried potatoes while my friend also had black pudding and sausage. We chatted away with the friendly owners who told us about the local area and their background. We headed off with full bellies and with the owners making sure we knew where we were going. The only downside is that the stay was so brief – I would have love to stay another couple of nights to enjoy the stunning local area. I couldn't recommend Copper Beech highly enough.

We arrived for Christmas Dinner at The Copper Beech, as we stepped in we were greeted by the most fantastic sight, the whole building was decorated like a Christmas film, the tables were all laid with the most beautiful crackers, stunning table centres and linen table cloths. The food was second to none, we had five courses and each was outstanding, even my “fussy” daughter ate everything, the service was fantastic as the children of the owners were our waiters, it was like a huge house party to which we were included, we cant thank the Macadams enough for their hospitality, having never eaten at the pub before we will certainly tell everyone about our fantastic Christmas Day!

We stopped by accident (we were looking for a different venue) after a visit to the National Show Caves. How serendipitous!A little bit of a "Tardis", there was far more room inside than it appeared from the exterior. We sat snugly in a large fireplace, which was quaint (though in August the solid fuel fire was not on). There was also a choice of window seats and straight-forward tables. My wife, daughter and I each had a "light-bite" ciabattas - mine was steak and onions. An incredible amount of lean tender steak - perfectly cooked, medium-rare as requested. The other choices were garlic chicken and tomato and mozzarella (I did sample a little of my wife's chicken and it was also very tasty). What struck all three of us was the sheer quantity of the fillings and how excellent it was.Whilst eating we noted another guest who announced that they had just had the best beef burger of their life! These are apparently home-made on the premises. After lunch, we chatted with the owner, who kindly took the time to show us around the place - which is currently under renovation to provide some quality bed and breakfast accommodation. The plans for Christmas day sound amazing and if it were not already fully booked, we may have returned and stayed. We will however, look to return to stay once the rooms are available. The obvious pride and delight in preparing excellent food, the attention to detail and the quality of ingredients make the Copper Beech stand out from other restaurants - highly recommended!
